Went here to get a watch battery replacement and necklace repair. Excellent service!!! Will definitely return if/when I need to buy or repair jewelry. Fairly priced and very friendly service. Just know that if you are going during pandemic, you will need to make an appointment beforehand.

Just what downtown needed. A jewelry store where you can browse without feeling pressured or pestered. Knowledgeable staff that will help you pick the perfect gift to make someone VERY happy. Wide selection of silver, gold and jewels in a price range for every budget. Great repairs, and if by chance you cant find the perfect item, they will custom make a ring that is as original as the person you want it for (even if it is you). Do yourself a favor and demand uncompromising quality and selection.

Wow! I am so impressed. I got a ring from a retiring jeweler in town, and needed to get it sized. I dropped my ring off on a Saturday afternoon, got the call that it was sized, and ready for pick up Monday evening. The original wait was 1-2 weeks. I am even more in love with my ring now that is fits perfectly they also cleaned it up. It is sparkling again! Thank you Teel Jewelers!

Amazing ring repair! I went in to get the band fixed on a ring. When I came to pick up it was almost unrecognizable! They not only fixed the broken band but they cleaned and shined my ring. It looks better than new.

My husbands parents had been long-time customers of Plata y Oro. He knew he wanted to custom-make my engagement ring, and they worked wonderfully with him every step of the way! When it came to buy wedding bands, they custom fitted the band I wanted and ordered the specific rings he was interested in. We were traveling from out of town, and they always tried to work us in if/when wed be in town! I think they are on the pricier side, but you absolutely are paying for the amazing quality that you receive. Would definitely recommend!

CeCi, the manager, replaced two watch batteries for me as well as fixing the movement of another. Staff were knowledgeable and work was performed quickly with a great courtesy call afterwards.

I went in a few times to this location (it used to be called Plata y Oro then) to get quotes for an engagement ring. The people were nice, and reasonable. The costs seemed typical to what I had been seeing at other locations - perhaps a little higher, but somewhat reasonable. It seemed like a nice family business and that Id like to give them my business.My problem with them came from their lack of information they were willing to give on their diamonds. I asked multiple times for the diamond certificates (GIA) so I could get the diamond dimensions. They did not offer them easily. I even emailed, asking for that specific information, and they would not offer it. I was given some information, but not everything I needed. You have to understand that the 4 Cs are one way of looking at a diamond, but anybody smart knows there are other factors (the Holloway Cut Advisor, for example). Once I finally managed to get the diamond dimensions to do the test, it came back that the diamonds they were coming up with were HCA failures - poor cut dimensions for reflecting light. It wasnt so bad that they diamonds were sub-par, but what irked me was that they were basically selling sub-par cut diamonds at higher quality prices.I was told to my face multiple times that the diamonds were high quality. That was an outright lie.I ended up going elsewhere.Getting a good ring is hard. You need to focus on quality to make sure you get your moneys worth. You are going to part with a lot of cash, and its entirely possible you wont get a quality product for doing so. Do your research, ask hard questions, and dont be sorry for asking them.

Thought it would be a good place from the looks but failed in attitude towards us. Rude, and kind of snotty. Cant recommend it.
