Just because you owned a property at one time (over 30 years ago) does not mean that you have an interest in the property for the rest of your life. Sending letters to people making them think they are going to be responsible for a foreclosure is shady business. If you get one of these letters do not complete the card and send it back.

Very good company that helps Michigan counties sell properties where people failed to pay taxes in a lengthy period of time of about 3 years total. It is unfortunate that these people are castigated for doing the state a favor on many blighted and sometimes decent properties. Who should be thankful are the Michigan tax payers. Why you ask? Because taxes are being played again by the purchaser, helping the the local tax base generate more revenue. I bought one these houses and sold it to a family who was on government assistance. This enabled this family to have a home that most banks would never lend too. The former owner had died by suicide. (Not on property). People do not understand the power of home ownership. What Title Check does is an extremely valuable, legit way to help the poor and less fortunate acquire a property that could not otherwise. I am one of many examples. Oh, the house I bought was going to be torn down even though it was totally liveable after a small investment. Before people criticize Title Check and the staff, realize that they are helping to keep alive the dreams of many who are saddled with debt and the banks would not touch with a ninety nine and a half foot pole!

I have used them to purchase investment properties and am pleasantly surprised at their level of description and care in conducting tax auctions.

This place should be avoided at all costs. this includes banks county treasurers . it is just disgusting that they have such a strong desire to send out certified letters one day before christmas ? is this really the very best job that all the people that work there can do ? 99 % of all people on earth think it is extremely rude and careless and mean spirited to some people who may be a little down on their luck and your company thinks the best way to force these people to pay is on christmas day ?? thats just stupid.. if you want and need these peoples monies so badly why would you not ask for it in nov or oct before they spend their money on gifts for other people.. oh yeah im sure every mayor and every elected official would completely agree that the only day that taxes of any kind should ever be collected is christmas day of course...you have a very poorly run business

Be VERY careful dealing with these shady repo men who make a profit off of peoples misfortunes. Can you get a good piece of land or decent house very cheaply? Sure ya can. Odds of that? VERY slim. All of these properties have WAY more issues going on once the purchase is made, that they fail to mention in their brief written descriptions. They WILL SELL you old meth labs with no disclosure whatsover and then try to bill you $1000 if you call their bluff. Very shady, horrible personal skills, buyer beware. They do care not about you whatsoever, they already make 10% commision off of everything they sell. (Which is a lot of money, just look at the beer gut on the auctioneer, he eats well.) They sell METH LABS, with no disclosure, and customer service is non functional and robot like in their scripted responses. They also try to UPSELL complete uninhabitable garbage and pass along a county or cities problems to you, and YOUR checkbook. Jordan (their auction manager) probably didnt finish high school and hides behind a wall of (we have no liability, too bad, so sad, give us money mentality, its your problem now.) Hope the State of Michigan takes back these auctions and put these outsourced rats back in the sewers they crawled out of, then they might have to get real jobs.
