I am in the area training with the Army and needed a haircut. After a bad experience at another shop (Unclees) I came here and was not disappointed. As soon as I came in the door I was greeted by two young ladies and were very polite, professional and nice. I didn’t have an appointment but they were able to see me right away. Tiffany was the best! She gave me an awesome cut and we had a great conversation about everything from tattoos to sandwiches. This is what I expect and enjoy about the barbershop experience, great customer service, kind employees and quality cuts. Thanks Tiffany and Jude’s Barbershop, this will be my spot anytime I’m in the area and will recommend it to the soldiers I train with.

I can’t speak on all of Judes stylists, but Tiffany is great. I get my hair trimmed and my fade done by her. Additionally, while Judes does not currently perm men’s hair, she was a great resource when it came to finding someone who would! She is an experienced stylist and easy to talk to, and is always willing to go above and beyond for her clients. Highly recommend her services.

Another 5 star haircut from Lisa at Jude’s in West Main! I love this location, the stylists are super friendly and they give great haircuts! I always get compliments on mine after my visit! I do appreciate the store following COVID protocols with temperature checks upon entering, copious amounts of hand sanitizer available, mask and/or face shield use, sanitizing of scissors and the work station too. I will be back in 3 weeks! BTW, they are currently not offering the straight razor shaves... hoping they resume that service shortly!

Context: I just moved back to Kalamazoo after living for years out of state. I needed a cut badly thanks to the pandemic and didnt have a local barber to trust or gamble with before I visted Judes.I scheduled a same day appointment online and went in. I was introduced to Carlie, who would be my stylist. She immediately asked questions to understand what I wanted. We talked about the cut, my trouble spots (I have a cowlick), and then she went to work. I got a cut, neck shave with hot towel, shampoo and conditioner, and cleanup of my mustache and goatee.Carlie killed it. I gave her some liberty based around what I hoped to have (first cut since January) and she left me looking good and happy. I now have a local barber to trust and gamble with - Carlie. :D

I feel for the independent stylists here that are just looking for a booth. Theyre nice enough. However, Judes is a horrible value and the quality of service has been on the decline for awhile. I just want a haircut and I dont want to have to sacrifice my data privacy or precious time for it.

Been going here for at least 7 years. Have had great experiences and some so-so. Turnover is typical reason. Today had an call ahead appointment. Arrived at time of appointment. Asked my name and if I had called ahead. I acknowledged. We’ll be right with was a lady’s reply. 25 minutes later, finally asked to step up into chair. Done so by the same lady that asked if I called ahead. I had no idea that was a person I had scheduled for online. She asked if I had a busy day. I laughed and walked out. Why have an appointment. I was busy and should’ve been out by time I was being seated.

Just like any common haircut place, youre gonna get some people in there that arent as good as the rest. The trick is to find out whos the best. There are two ladies in here that have blown my mind. As for the absolute gem, I dont really want to disclose her name because I dont want her to get busy and not be able to cut my hair so readily. Im very picky, and Ive never been as satisfied EVER than I am with this lovely lady, but she deserves to be busy because shes amazing and if you get her and she does a good job you better tip her well. Ok? Alright her name is Austin and she has given me, by far, the best haircuts Ive ever had. For example, the haircut in my picture, thats Austin, killing it as usual.However, before this absolute prodigy cut my hair a lady named Amy was the one I considered to have the golden scissors. She does a bang up job. Im very sorry I wont be saying who to stay away from, because I like all the ladies that work at this establishment, but another lady that does quite a good job is Hannah.In summary, I gave five stars because there are some freaking crazy amazing stylists at this barbershop. But be forewarned, there are some duds here too. Theyre pretty though so smile and deal with it because hair grows back, yo.

If youre a guy, dont consider going anywhere else. For just $20, you get a great haircut. This includes a warm towel over your face while they wash your hair, a hot gel/straight razor neck shave, and a shoulder rub. This extra attention to detail leaves you feeling clean and refreshed after your haircut. For the most part, all of the hairdressers are very kind and personable. The building is very clean, and features decore specifically for men.

This location is one of the better shops.The one I used to go to only had a few stylists do they were always booked and busy.At this location, during the week, they had plenty of stylists so that I could walk in and get a haircut right away.

Extremely disappointed!! Today, I called ahead to make an appointment. Arrived for my appointment 5 minutes early, as asked. While sitting, waiting, two gentlemen walked in behind me. Both of them were called to chairs to be helped before I. What’s worse, one of the stylists was done with her previous customer and I waited for 15 minutes without any acknowledgement. Customer service is said to be a “priority” but that wasn’t demonstrated in this case. Walked about after waiting 20 minutes past my scheduled appointment time, such poor timeliness..

Tried Judes after going to one of the traditional barbers in town wanting a classic guys cut. Walked in around 6:30 to a busy place but Kim continued to stay well after her shift and gave me a great haircut in record time and asked me about every detail to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. Ill definitely be back.

Have been using this location for a while after having moved to Kalamazoo several years ago. I like that they have an app for scheduling appointments. Used to see Riann here (doesn’t work here anymore) but also recommend Tailer. Meets my needs but nothing outstanding.

Got a great cut and style. The atmosphere is definitely geared towards the make customer and the walls are heavily decorated with women in bikinis and sports posters. The staff are friendly and highly skilled in their profession. Will visit again.

Since they dont really have appointments for service. I wanted a haircut and a shave. The person who was in charge stated that they were all booked up for the day and Id have to come back the next day. They only had two people waiting for service with a staff of 5 at 2:30 pm and they were open till 6pm. Piss poor way to do business. Theyll never have to worry about me ever coming back again.

I was going to be a new customer to them. However, my bad experience didnt even get me that far. I called ahead and set a 6:10 apt. I arrived at 6:00 so would be ready to go. I sat down and waited for my stylist to finish up her previous apt. It was 6:15 at this point. While waiting another gentlemen came in and say down near me. The stylist I was waiting for decided for some reason to wait on him and told me she would cut my hair after him. I was a little confused at this point as to why. I thought well maybe hes just getting a quick trim. Nope. Full haircut for him. What was the point of making an appointment then? I decided to take my business else where.

Really best in the town, anyone wants to try new and to have best hair cut, visit this place. Even the people are good and sexy.

Awesome staff and environment. A friend recommended Judes about a year ago and I will never go anywhere else. I just read through some of the bad reviews and I was very surprised. I always have Kendra cut my hair and I have never been disappointed. The price is very reasonable for the services provided. I dont mind if I have to wait a few extra minutes. If my day is so busy that I cant wait a few extra minutes for a great haircut, then I am the one who needs to slow down. I would not expect the stylist to rush while cutting someone elses hair since I would not want them to do that to me. Keep up the great work Kendra. I look forward to seeing you soon.

Dont know why I bother checking in online, the last couple times Ive come in Ive waited 20 minutes to get my haircut. I understand checking in isnt an appointment, but if I check in for 4:30, youd think they wouldnt start cutting someones hair at 4:25.

Told me I had to wait because I didnt call in. They all must be really well off because the 3 employees just sitting around apparently werent about to actually do anything. Really bad customer service. Horrible business decision with another app literally next door.
