I was told internet is gonna cost $29.99 for a year, after signed up I got an email that it will cost me $50.79. I called to ask why and how it happened. My call was transferred to over 4 people at the end they removed a service to bring my cost down to 39.99 and if there is a promotion they will add latter to match the price they initially gave me. few days ago I was charged $50.97. Contacted support again and they told me my price is 39.99 with other service and tax its 51.93! Its scam! they give you one price and then charge you other! If you have other options, save yourself time and headache and dont chose COX!

Hello Nathan and Carl,All I know is they were very kind, apologetic for situations they didnt need to apologize for and went above and beyond the definition of professionalism and wonderful people skills. I wasnt rushed or ignored.Nathan listened and he spent too much time working on my plan because I had questions and wanted answers. I left CenturyLink...dont even want to remember that word.Nathan was my Cox in store rep and Carl was my cable man, Clean store, wore masks, had plenty sanitizer, store was clean and quiet, not empty, quiet.Carl, my Cable guy, wore a mask, booties over his shoes before entering my house and stayed over 3 hours and a half, way past his time just so he could get the job done properly. And I appreciate that.At a time when our world is ending faster than you think, people no longer show concern for their neighbors, family or friends. Im giving credit where its due...Thank you COX. Youre appreciated for your generosity toward us. For the patience, safe environment, consideration and family friendly manners.

Way over priced for simple internet. We got rid of their cable bundle just for the internet. We even have one of the fastest towers with unlimited data, yet still we manage to go over every month with a laptop and gaming system. Definitely not worth it but its between Cox and CenturyLink..take your pick.

Cox communications services have been great overall, but the representatives they employ are the worst. There needs to be more customer service training! Barbara Walters is one of the nastiest, Cox representatives that I have came across in a long time. I currently work in property management in Kansas, and Barbara goes around with this prejudice attitude inserting her nose into people’s business that do not concern her. She needs some ethical training, diversity training, and better communication skills. Cox needs to step up an do psychological evaluations on all their representatives, especially the ones that come in and out of other businesses. This is a time in our country where we will not stand for inequality no more!

Cox is trash point blank period. Ive had cox for almost a year and ive enjoyed the service up until recent months. The gateway just randomly disconnects my internet service and I have to wait upwards of 30 minutes for my service to reconnect. Ive even tried replacing the gateway and I thought the issue was fixed but its doing the same thing a couple of days later. I will admit the connection speeds are remarkable. However I would like to go a day without my gateway disconnecting my internet. On the upside Ive had pretty descent customer service.

Dont fall for the fake reviews and BS thats said. This company is a horrific company to supply services. Was told directly they tell the customer only what they want to hear as they truly dont know what theyre doing so they feed lies. If I could give 0 stars I would. They make you pay far more than what you actually get, increasing your bill for BS reasons just so they can make more money off you. STAY AWAY!!

Not helpful. The Cox rep told me to pick up welcome pkg. I went to Cox store. I was given a 2 foot coxial cord. The phone rep told me to buy a modem. He didnt mention I would need a router. Now I have to buy a router or 2 long coxial cords. They are not do helpful when you turn down their 100.00 installation. I am on a very very limited income. They probably make in a week what I get in income a month.

This is the only internet provider in my area and they raise the prices because of it. Having more than a TV and two phones on it causes everything to slow to a crawl. The rest of the time the internet works great.

When I wanted to discontinue my service they told me I signed a contract and I couldn’t leave without paying a fee. I asked them to show me the contract that I “signed” and they couldn’t give me an answer. Then I called to cancel because the prices were too high. They lowered it for one month and the next month it was right back to the original price.

We paid for the gigablast package and only ever received 250down/30up at best. After calling several times and having several technicians come out. I finally decided to downgrade to the service we did receive, which was the ultimate 300down/30up. However every package you downgrade, a recurring $50 service fee is added onto you account. This company and its morals are messed up. You are trapped with the service once you upgrade to a new package. By downgrading my account to a slower speed, my bill was going up nearly $60. It sucks because they are the only provider around and yet they are just a bunch of scammers. They aren’t even willing to work with you on help solve the issue.

I have been calling all day for a technician to come out to my business for tech support my customers have had to wait or leave because we are unable to process credit card transactions! I can’t believe the way they have blown off my requests. This is terrible business customer service

Service is garbage. Internet speeds are not competitive with other cities of similar sizes in Kansas, and you have a 60% chance of losing your internet every 10-15 minutes. Dont worry though: If theres a problem, its on your end, not theirs.

I would have canceled my service if only they weren’t the only provider we can go through for the area we live in. We started out with the cheap plan and paid about $50/month for a small 2 bdrm apartment. Every single day our internet was out or slow.. and I mean REALLY really slow. We’d have to turn it on and off at least 3-4 times a day. We thought it was our modem so we paid to “rent” theirs and still... same thing. We finally upgraded in January and is now paying almost $100 a month for “faster” internet to accommodate more than 4 devices and what do you know? It’s even slower and crashes more often than the cheaper plan. Wow. We rarely use more than 4 devices on the daily.Sooooo happy we’ll be done using Cox in a month and a half as we are moving.P.s. We’ve been with Cox for 1.5 year now.

Had the full package, realized we used Netflix/Hulu more than cable. After we cancelled cable but kept internet, speeds went to 2Mbps... Unacceptable.I can hotspot my Verizon faster than these speeds.Also Ive done the hard resets, powered off, called and had remote reset. It sucks. Do not get.Its funny. You can tell the real reviews from the ones made up. Just saying.

Theyve consistently withheld sending our bill till after the due date so were always paying late fees. The internet continuously cuts in and out and the customer service is kind of a joke. But theres no other options.

Cox is a joke. The services are substandard compared to the prices you are paying. Customer service is spotty at best. They promise resolution but fall short by epic proportions. Luckily I dont have these services. Unfortunately the previous residents of my home did and did not disconnect before moving out. Now I have to fight with Cox to disconnect their services so mine will work but good luck finding a store thats open on a weekend (I work during the week).

Called to figure out why our bill is double what it should be (after we paid $138 last month thinking we may have fallen behind possibly and just need to get everything caught up) but they wont disclose any account information to me because Im not an authorized user to the account. My husband is currently in the field through the military and I have no way of contacting him; I have full access to the account online, know all of our information, and have Power of Attorney while he is gone. The woman I talked to the first go around was very rude with me and told me I am breaking the law by accessing his account and told me that I am not allowed to do that.Our bill should not be this expensive and clarifying things should not be this difficult.

I have had cox in this area for several years and when i had problems at the beginning they would send someone out to address the issue. for the past two years i have not had any disconnects or terrible service at any time. the only issue that i would have is when transferring my service to a different house. And the last time i had them out was for frequent disconnects and had to have them come out 3 times in order to resolve the problem and had them send an experienced person with over 3 years on the job from cox not their out sourced company from Topeka or Kansas City as it seemed they were there just to quickly just say yea it was a bad connector. where as when the cox gentleman came out found out there was something wrong with the box before coming to the house and noticing that the previous two didnt catch that there was two filters on the line heading to my internet modem causing the disconnects. and to just resolve the issue having two separate lines coming in just to be sure there was no interference with cable TV and internet. all in all i have great connection since then and only get disconnects when power goes out. And to say the least i have 19 ping for most if not all gaming services that i use between my Gaming PC and my consoles.

Went to pay a bill which was way to expensive, asked about internet an was given sells pitch instead of correct info. O was trying to see if their internet would support fire stick, I was told I would need 100mbps when I know it can operate on 5-10 mbps, so it was just unfortunate.

High prices for sub-par service. Our internet was always coming in and out so you never knew whether it would be working or not. We also had a mini box for one of our TVs and and the service was not good on it. The channels were always cutting in and out. I was not impressed at all with the service.

Constant problems with the internet/connections to the server is driving me nuts. Internet goes down during the most important times when online classes and group assignments must be completed. Maintaince on back to back weekends that last up to 3-4 hours? Do maintenance at 1 or 2 in the morning when no one needs the internet. Everything runs off wifi now-a-days but getting decent cennectivity out here Junction City is a pain. Cox come on?

I was charged for services I never received that totalled to over 150$ on my bill plus the late fee was added after I was told it wouldnt be here it is 10 days later and my bill still hasnt been properly adjusted!!!!! Horrible they way they treat the elderly. I wanted to add a person to my account and was told I could not do this because my deceased husband was still the primary account holder. So I was told I had to bring a death certificate and a number of other documents to this location in JC to switch the account into my name as the primary. The agent did not inform me that they were canceling the existing account and setting up new service in my name. They did not transfer over any of my information and terminated the email address that we have used for many, many years. He signed me up for phone service that we did not have previously but then never asked if I wanted to switch my landline phone over. He only told me that the new plan was cheaper than what we were paying before. Nothing said about the price increase that will occur in a year. My email has not worked since this happened (its been more than a week) and when the person I added to the account called COX, they could not get help because the agent had never added the person to my account, which was the reason I went to this location to begin with. I have spent several hours daily for a week on the phone with COX trying to resolve the issues caused by the account changes this agent made in JC and things are still not resolved. They should have taken the time to explain what was happening with my account and moved my information over to the new account including informing me that I would need to set my autopay back up. They should have explained that my webmail would no longer work and that I would have to use a new email platform and made sure I knew how to access that before I left their place of business. I now understand why many of my elderly friends have stopped using COX.

Absolutely worse internet and cable provider I have ever had to deal with!!! My internet goes out everyday several times a day, when we call to inform them of this issue it is always the same answer.... unplug the router and plug it back in! I am paying close to 200 a month for this service and they cannot give me service that will not cut out everyday??? Also, the cable packages are ridiculous for what you pay, not enough channels! And my router doesnt reach the entire house, so in my bedroom my wifi is only at 1 bar and weak! Terrible internet, look into other options and dont settled for cox like we did! I wouldnt even give them 1 star, they dont deserve that!

If only there was something less than a goddamn single star. Ill try and keep this brief. After literally years of failing internet, increasing prices, requests to turn off specific services and turning in equipment (that they then lost and kept charging us for without informing us), having routers replaced because they issued us faulty (refurbs that were not properly refurbished and had power spikes and shorts), and multiple visits from every type of tech theyve got in order to fix our internet, they finally send a crew over to rework the issue and issue us the right equipment. We found out that not only have they been not fixing the problems (i.e. noise in the lines) that they said they did, theyve been issuing us the wrong routers (both issues resulted in near-constant signal drops), have been overcharging us for the internet (which the techs on-site, and in front of me, confirmed and did contact their home office to resolve, to their credit) for years, have not upgraded our speed like they were supposed to from 100GB download to $150 when they discontinued the 100GB, and that the fix was not supposed to have costed us a dime. Low and behold, not only did our internet bill not get adjusted, but they tacked on an extra $350 for the work order in spite of the fact that the work order and equipment they brought were to fix the very issues that they resulted. Its a shame theyve got a goddamn monopoly in Junction City, I now have to wait until tomorrow (as they, of course, charge for their 24/7 line, which considering they issue these statements around 22:00hrs/10:00 p.m., is awfully convenient) in the most recent of numerous attempts to fix billing issues (which pretty much happens 2-3 times a goddamn quarter).

I ordered the 100mbps internet service from this store a few days ago. First thing I noticed was that it was not any faster than the 20mbps speed I previously had from Centurylink. After conducting a speed test, I saw that I only had a 15mbps download speed. I called customer service only to find out that the modem they gave me for my 100mbps service could only support a speed of 15mbps. Why in the world would you provide someone with a modem that only supports 15% of the speed in which was ordered? Of course, the store isnt open on the weekend, so now I have to take time out of work to exchange it. Great.

This is the 2nd time in two months I tried to log in to pay my bill and the website is always timed out due to slow connection. It only happens on their site. Also the internet is always cutting out. Some days its better than others. Really wish that JC would allow other internet providers in this area because I have no choice if I want internet to use Cox.
