They fixed my transfer case and I have no issues with the actual work on my vehicle. The reason for one star is because they took 4 weeks to fix it. Phone calls were not returned half of the time and work was not completed when it was supposed to be. They also have charges for everything like $80 to drive the vehicle to determine the problem, another $65 to read codes, misc. shop supply charges, etc. I will not take anymore of my work there.
My fuel injector went out while towing my camper near Jonesboro. Several people recommended Geralds. They were busy but promised to get me back on the road that evening. They worked late to get it done. Awesome work at a really fair price. Id recommend them to anyone!
Took my 97 Dodge Dakota to them twicepicked it up on Saturday may 8,2021as soon as I pulled out truck dies gauges quit working do not take your vehicle there
Tried to get the service facility to work with a nationwide warranty company without any luck. looks like they might have good service ratings. although the unwillingness to work with a warranty company that pays above retail rates may be something to be concerned about.
Excellent service extremely fair price. I wont take my vehicles anywhere else.
Everything was done exactly as asked. Phone follow up to ok parts needed. Always go here!!!
Would not recommend! My husband had to tow his truck to Geralds because the fuel pump went out and they diagnosed it as such. After almost a week he had to call to find out anything, they claimed to have fixed it (cost over $600.) I took him there to pick it up, it drove terrible right as he left to go to work, it died on him and had to take it back. They diagnosed it was a tune up issue and needed wires and spark plugs, quoted around $250. Another week and after getting a call was then told it was over $400! Went to go pick it up again, they assured him it drove great etc. He went to start the truck and the battery was dead. Pops the hood and a ground wire was disconnected! The battery was brand new and somehow drained. The truck also shutters now and still drives terribly. Now they claim it must be a misfire. Already spent over $1000, the truck was there for 19 total days and drives worse than ever. Does that sound like good service to you?
Great honest mechanic
Great service. Will go back
Good Service..
Good knowledgeable people that will treat you right.
Great place! highly recommend
Robbie (Master Service Level) has always taken great care of my car. (01 Subaru Outback). Ive taken my friends cars there too, they have always been professional and the work is top notch. Im able to address most minor repairs on my own, (CV joints, brakes, alternators etc.) however, sometimes its time to take it to a pro, these are the guys. Great working with them!
Said fixed truck. They did not. So back in shop. Shade tree machanics
They do a good job. They never ripped me off price wise. The staff is courteous and the mechanics are quick. Been there multiple time and would go back again.
Very reasonable and always have accommodated my schedule. Worked on my truck and my Jeep couple of times. Just recently fixed my traction control, rotated, balanced, aligned and oil Very reasonable price. Two days. Diagnosis always spot on.UpdateI had a mishap, dropped a caliper, tore a brake line, ruined a disk and speed sensor. Fixed in less than 24 hrs at a reasonable price.
Robbie and his staff are wonderful! Awesome service! Fixed my Envoy fast and were very efficient. Recommend this shop.
I highly recommend this business. Robbie is an outstanding professional and is a man of his word. They have always worked hard to make sure that you, as the customer, are happy.
They took almost two weeks to tell me that I would have to pay them $695 to put in a third steering column because my 2 wheel GMC SONOMA 2001 was different (wiring) than a Chevy s10 2001, and a new PCM (COMPUTER OR BRAIN) which is y I took it in there in the first place. Then after that they could diagnose it to tell me what was wrong with it.... which would be another 250$ not to mention the labor and Im sure there would have been a charge for keeping it there... #RIPOFF
Great customer service
Over priced and poor customer service.
Robbie does a great job! He has a ton of experience and that will always save you money as opposed to shops that just do a lot of guessing.
New to Jonesboro, I brought my car in with a misfire. The local parts store scanned the code random misfire for me for free. I selected Geralds from the phone book, took it in,and told them what the suspected code was. While I appreciate their willingness to get me as a customer, I think they were also more than willing to take advantage of me.On my bill they actually charged $48 as a diagnostic fee to write down that my car had a scan code of random misfire --and a total of $220.58 to replace 5 spark plugs and the air filter. If you are stuck throwing darts at a phone book when you are in a jam, you might as well take your chances with someone else.
These guys have been in business since 1977! They are the best in town and their longevity shows it!
Very knowledge. Good to work with!
BEWWARE....Gerald doesnt work here anymore. The new owner is a thief and a parts changer. Charged for un necessary repairs and did not solve the problem. He told me that my transmission needed to be replaced....$3500.00. I decided to take the car somewhere else. I had to have it towed. They charged me 3 hrs labor on what should have taken 0.5 hrs according to several other mechanics. To top it all off they charged for a TRANSMISSION service on a transmission the owner claimed would never run again.$700.00 for absolutly nothing. I had the transmission fixed at another place for $500.00If you go to this guy then prepare to be stolen from!!Would give ZERO stars if I could.
First off, Most mechaincs have a bad rappor. I am a mechanic myself, and I know this first hand. Some folks may not understand the complexity of some preoblems, and mistake the situation for bad service. Now to my review,My family and I were traveling to Alabama from Kansas City around last June. With us were my grandparents of 83 and 84 years old. Were were all stuffed inside our conversion van and It was HOT outside. Long story short, the belt and idler pulley went out on us. I did not have my tools, so I called up this shop. They were more than friendly, and took us right in for immediate service at 4:30 ON A FRIDAY NIGHT! We were repaired and on the road in 2 hours flat. Not only this, but they were exreemly reasonably priced. I know most shops would have made us wait untill Saturday, but theses guys really pushed hard for us.Theses Guys are GREAT!
The mechanic was very professional and understanding..
They are very slow and inconsiderate of your time..no communication at all..they had me bring in my car on a Monday but didnt even look at my car until a week later instead of just being honest about how backed up they were..its just about a month later and I still dont have my car back
Great repairs great people
If possible I wouldnt even give them a star. I went in for a tune up and he told me it would be six hundred dollars for eight spark plugs and one coil pack. I called around and never got another quote over two hundred and fifty. So beware they are after your money.
Great service
