Its great to have a store you can bring your pets in! They do seem to have alot to offer, however customer service is important to me . they need to work on that. I came in with my dog and only had one nice employee who acknowledged the fact we were in the building after several minutes. Four other employees offered no greeting or help what so ever. They looked right at us and helped others who had to make them help them. but not us. I didnt like that at all so I took my business elsewhere.

My boy (Maltese mix) saw Katelyn G. this week for his summer cut and I could not be happier. Groomers tend to struggle with him and she went above and beyond to make him comfortable and deliver a cut that was exactly as described. Thanks so much Katelyn! You are appreciated.

They were friendly and took great care of my dog. They were attentive to my dog’s needs and went above and beyond for her well-being.

Staff was so awesome when we were there except the cashier was not enjoying her job at all. Maybe she had something going on. But the store was clean, and the staff was all helpful. I wish the prices were cheaper though. A doggy toothbrush and paste was like 12.99, I got it from Walmart for $6

Went to get a refund as I had signed two of my dogs for training. One of them has passed awayAlthough no one knew how to process the refunds at the store I was told someone would call me today. I received a call and the refunds were processed over the phone. Michelle was very nice and kind.

Grooming used to be good here. Not any more. I will never take my dog (Pomeranian) here again for grooming. The last three times have been awful. Choppy, missed clumps of hair, or hair way shorter than requested. My dog never smells clean after being groomed. They cant even brush my dog properly. The groomers all need additional training in how to cut a dogs hair, how to bathe a dog, how to brush a dog, professionalism, and customer service.

Called to schedule an appointment at the Joliet Pet Smart and from start of the conversation the staff member was very rude. Told me she could not find where I had brought my dog there. I took my shih Tzu there in March. Tried explaining this to the staff member but she got loud and would not let me get a word in edge wise. With that type of customer service before even being allowed to make an appointment I will never take my dog there or recommend anyone else to do so.

Store was very empty. A few salespeople were available to help. Very courtesy and helpful, made shopping very easy.👍👍

Probably the most traumatic experience Ive had with grooming, and I mean traumatic. So much can be said but I will let some of the pictures do the talking as there are no words that can describe my emotions. My little boy was brought in to get something simple done. Now a little background, he is not the most calm dog when it comes to nail care but I figured they were going to go easy on him but that wasnt the case. After multiple calls to a few animal hospitals, hour of research, and a trip to vet(mind you were in a pandemic and everything is limited), thankfully there was a spot open for him to be seen for blood work to be done, I was told that my boy had suffered trauma as a result of grooming which resulted in subconjunctival hemorrhage(ruptured blood vessel) in both eyes. I didnt want to make a big deal out of it but this was something I cant keep quiet about. Take caution when you take your pets here, especially if you have pets that require a little more control.

This is a very nice store they allow you to bring your pets with you as long as theyre on a leash and theyre of a friendly nature. They are expensive but they do cater to special needs for your fur babies plus they also have reptiles reptile foods etc.

Had my dog scheduled for a week in advance and got a call less then a hour before his appointment and told his appointment was canceled due to someone calling off. The voicemail I was left, I was told they could try to get him in for the next day at 3pm; I call back and the girl answers with attitude and laughs in my face and says they can’t get him in until next Thursday. Terrible customer service. My dog is a Yorkie poodle and needs to maintain grooming! Do not recommend the Joliet location, I swept a lot of issues with them under the rug but I’ve had enough!

Its clean, helpful clerks, shop there every month. Tried to order my product on line to do curb side service because i am handicapped. Was totally confused w this, no one answers phone at the store any more. Not satisfied with not being able to call the store and get help w on line service

I shop between this PetSmart and a few others. Each has something the others dont, so its good to know I can get things here that I cant elsewhere. Clean and well organized.

Mandy did so amazing with my dog Atlas. For history he’s over 100lbs rescued American Bulldog with quite a traumatic history of abuse. So naturally he’s a bit nervous but he loved Mandy and she did so awesome with him!!

Dog daycare is the best here! Our boy was a regular pre covid but since its been almost 1 1/2 years since he was there I was bit nervous dropping him off this morning. I showed up early and he was in the front room that you can watch from the store floor and wow! John (whose name I learned today) was the helper and he had dogs crawling on him but managed to toss Jack the ball in between pets! Jack had a big smile on his face and I knew he was enjoying his stay! The price is super reasonable since you can drop off early and pick up later.. I will continue to use Petsmarts dog day care and I hope John is there to make our boys day!

They definitely had what I wanted in store. Store was clean. Staff was scarce and cashier was not friendly, welcoming, or polite. I spent about 100$ in there and couldnt even get a hi how r u today or did you find everything ok, just got a RBF. However it seemed she was excited to take care of the guy who came in after me 😂🤣🤣😂

I wont go back because of lack of training. Was told I had a 14 day guarantee on the fish I bought. Purchased 3 tetras. All 3 died. Was not told that I had to SAVE the dead fish in order to replace them. Lady at fish department does not like her job. Obviously.

I was a little disappointed if Im being honest - not a big animal selection. Although, the store was very clean and the employees were very friendly.

Lazy grooming department. Could not cut my dogs nails, said she was to strong for them. Yes she’s strong she’s a 45 pound Pitbull puppy of 8 months. I took her for nails and told them that was the biggest reason for taking her and was told they were more than capable of performing a nail grind and wash. Bather called an hour later and said she was done and when I picked her up was informed they couldn’t cut them. Why was I called and told she’s done then? Never again I’ll find a real groomer.

The prices seem to be getting higher but I will keep shopping there.

Our visit to the Joliet Petsmart was enjoyable. Clean store and friendly staff. We ended up getting two hamsters for my kiddos and we are so happy with our new additions. The small pet area is kind of light on things but overall we are happy.

For a pet store, I was surprised at the lack of inventory for litter boxes and cat toys. We just got our new pet and I had to make a trip to a competitor to get everything we needed.When we stopped to look at fish, I let an associate know that there was a dead one floating in the tank. She barely acknowledged me and seemed annoyed. I was surprised she didnt already take care of it, as she was cleaning tanks already.Great checkout experience, though. She was knowledgeable and kind to my daughter.

Very busy when we went there, but a class was just getting out. The boarding isnt open right now because of covid, but the staff was friendly and answered my questions for later.

We were looking for a bearded dragon. Brandon was so nice and so informative about them. He made sure that all of our questions were answered. We greatly appreciated his outgoing personality and his willingness to help with our needs. Unfortunately at this time we decided not to get one but when we are ready we will be going to him and hopefully he’ll still be there to help out again! :) thank you Brandon!

Nice staff, usual pricey toys and accessories, but your pets can shop with you and the staff is very knowledgeable and excited to get you on your pet journey. The grooming portion depends entirely on your taste as well as the skill of the groomer so just be careful and try to look into their past work before settling. Same thing with their animal hospital clinic. Overall an okay place to shop for me.

I have gone to this Petsmart 3 times at 3 different times of day. The first time I was ignored by all staff for 25 minutes. The second time I tried to purchase some fish and was informed that the employee that ignored me earlier in the day does this all the time and no one cares to do something about it. The manager comped the fish I had tried to buy earlier that day when I was ignored. All of the fish turned out to be diseased and died within a week and wiped out the rest of my 40 gallon tank. I reached out and the manager said to please give them another chance. I went in a third time and was ignored by 7/8 employees while I shopped for 40 minutes and the manager walked away each time I tried to approach him. I reached out for some support through the Petsmart website and no one has bothered to reply.

Bought many cichlids from this pets mart including 4 that were supposed to be electric yellow cichlids upon purchase 2 of the 4 didn’t look like yellow I asked and was promised they were electric yellows after a couple weeks they turned into grayish blueish color when I tried to exchange for yellow they said since it’s not within 14 days they can’t do nothing about it and said it was most likely the care of my aquarium that caused them to stress out yet all other 10 of my other cichlids are healthy and colorful . The Issue is I don’t even know what type of cichlids I was sold and their customer service is horrible I understand they have a 14 day policy but the error is on their end not mine

Average PetSmart experience. The extended services (grooming and training) seemed shut down and the store was busy. Despite having only a few registers opened, they moved the line quickly.

They were out of Pet Safe Salt. I hope they get some more.

I dont even know where to begin... one of your workers she was texting/on phone in the bird cages feeding them... I was in there to buy my first snake.. being excited as I am 27 years old pretty sure I have my life together... seen a milk snake .. did some research at home for a month prior to getting a snake .. it was a toss up between ball python or milk snake... I tell the lady who I brought up before that Id like the milk snake... she stares at me and asks if I had a snake before.. which I said no and then she replies with... they are hard to handle, and you cant pick them up.. (which the sign even said beginner snake... and she just turned around...so basically denied me service and was no where near friendly.. wont come here again.

Staff is not always around for help and they dont always have what i need for crickets. And it stinks they frosted the windows so you cant see the dogs. My kids loved going there to see them. Now they always wonder why they cant see them anymore.

The Salon was clean and the associates are always nice. Would definitely recommend this salon to anyone who wants their pets groomed.

Took my 2yo here. Fairly standard pet store. My daughter enjoyed looking at all the animals there. Dog day care was her favorite with a big glass window she can get up close to see them. Lots for a girl her age to look at. Friendly staff.
