Horrible service, called multiple times day before while at work and today, NUMEROUS times then I come in for a job that will literally take no more than 5 minutes they say I have to leave my car there for 4 hours. Im not sure what kind of operation is being ran here, I can almost guarantee this store won’t be running for another 2 years if this how these clowns continue to operate like this I’m not even mad because after opening reviews on here to leave a review for them, I’ve seen maybe 6 1 star reviews in a row after clicking newest LOL must be a horrible place, glad I didn’t bring my car here

Do not use this location for your car maintenance. I have been dealing with them for almost a week now. I originally came here for an oil change and them to check my tires because my tire pressure light came on. They said I had a nail in my tire and needed a patch. The next day after the patch, my tire was completely flat. I ordered a new tire, replaced my flat tire with my spare, and drove it over. They then said my tire that had a flat had a bent rim. I asked them how that was possible, the dude in the front register said whoever patched my tire must have missed that. THEY WERE THE ONES WHO PATCHED IT. I then went to go buy 2 new rims for my tires because they said you should probably get both back ones replaced so that there isnt a balance issue with replacing one rim. I bought the two rims and brought them back to Firestone the next day. After an hour they told me that the rims dont fit my vehicle and I should get them from their partner site. I then took the rims back to the place I bought them from and they said the rims fit and put them on at no charge. I will never go to firestone again, maybe its just this location but Im going to pass on this nonsense happening again.

I like firestone but when you make an appointment online and keep getting bumped to the next time and finally settling on a time and a guy calls you saying he cant do it except for this and that all while sounding like he doesnt care if you go there and really does want to do any work. Great customer service. Your not the only game in town gotta work on that customer service or not I guess.

Brought my vehicle taken care of here back in June. I was very appreciative of how informative and helpful the staff here was. They took care of my issue quickly and without a hitch. Ill definitely be coming back soon.

George and his mechanics pulled through for me last minute to replace a flat tire caused by running over a nail. I was able to make a trip out of state and back with no issue afterwards.

The mechanics here are thiefs. They steal from your cars. They took my 300 fishing rod combo from my truck . And since they dont have any cameras in the shop its convenient for them to steal from the customers cars. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE.

Set up appointment for a fuel injectors cleaning yesterday, different guy answers phone today tell him I’m running late and he says they will “diagnose” my car.??? Then asked me if I had engine light on? I just wanted my injectors cleaned because it’s never been done, I’m not looking to have my car diagnosed or any of this.... just clean my system.. not sure if they want more money somehow or if they are not wanting to do any work at all? thanks I’ll look elsewhere for now on.

Its hard to find a good shop to take your car these days. Where you can get quality service at a good price. Firestone on rt.30 has been my shop for about 5 yrs. Now. They have been professional and courteous every time I have been there. The front desk personnel have been great. Keep up the great work!

Going to a mechanic has always felt like going to the dentist. Today I had the greatest experience working with George and Steve. I felt like they were really looking out for me and my car. I am going to insist on my family and friends going to the Plainfield firestone and will adamantly insist as a recommendation. Thanks so much.

Ive been going to this location for 4 years and in the last 6 months service has fell down the crapshoot. Today I stopped in for a quick air check and was told I needed new tires without even inspecting them. The technician knew nothing of my cars service record and just jumped on selling me something. Little does he know is all four tires are less than 6 months old, one is brand new, less than a week old.I know what my wheel problem is and it is not the tires, educate your staff to not make such recommendations without inspection.

I advise people to take their vehicles somewhere else for repair after being treated rudely and lack of mechanical competence of staff running place. I called to make an appointment for a simple routine auto service and I was talked to like I didn’t know what I was talking about and told couldn’t be done!! Went to another local shop and no hassle, got my car’s routine service in and out in 15 minutes with no appointment. They don’t know what they are doing at Firestone or how to do common simple auto service. That’s a Red Flag and will never do business there again!

A bit pricey, but staff is very nice and informative. Not condescending, explain issues clearly, and flexible on services offered. I have never felt pressured to spend more than I can afford on services I may not need. My vehicle is always serviced in the time frame promised .

Excellent service! I brought my car in for a 4-wheel alignment, at Noon 1/28/19, since I had replaced my lower ball joints and outer tie-rods. The job was completed and I was on my way out in 50 minutes and that included my car sitting outside for 10 minutes before the ASE Certified Mechanic brought it in to perform the service! Tanya was the Service Writer for the day (on loan from the Bolingbrook Firestone store) and she could not have been more professional or pleasant. I normally do all of my own automotive repairs and only let someone else touch my car if its tires, alignments, bodywork, or A/C issues (to protect the environment), so needing to come and have my car worked on bothers me. That being said, I can honestly say that I will bring my cars back here with full confidence.

First time going here this past weekend for a quick oil change on my wifes suv. They told me it needed a air filter for thirty some dollars I said no Ill do it myself, he said well make sure cause its bad. So I went today bought one from the dealer for 9$ went to change it and its almost brand new looks just as white as the one I bought!. So they tried to scam me out of thirty dollars or so bad business first and last time I go there!

Had to wait 2 hours for an oil change and when I was expecting to pay around $22 for the service I was shocked the total was $33. I commented that I never have paid the amount for an oil change. After talking to the manager the next business day, no apology offered for the experience of the wait, however, it was explained that it is a corporate store. I was then offered the refund of the difference. As much as I can appreciate the gesture, I plan to return to Angilos Firestone.

I took my car in for an oil change and found out they overfilled it. Took it back got it corrected, now the gaskets wont stop leaking, and they deny the that the overfill was the cause, even though it was perfectly fine before this fiasco.

Ive had mixed experiences with this particular fire stone in the past few years that Ive used them. It really all depends on who you talk to. Most of the staff is pretty friendly and straightforward, but every once in awhile you can get someone was a bit grumpy. Their prices are higher than most other places, but their work seems to be good. I have a lifetime wheel balance and alignment, and I have it done once every few months. When they sell you the service they will tell you that its as long as you own your car, but when you come to get it done youll find that its as long as you own the tires. that means if you switch tires your lifetime wheel balance is gone. Like I said, it all depends on who you talk to. All in all its not like theyre a bad shop, but they can certainly stand to be a little more competitive price wise.

Had my truck tires rotated about a month ago and I asked to be ensured that lug nuts would be torqued to specs. 140 ft lbs. Got home and had to replace a couple of lug nuts and found that they were all over torqued excessively!If I would of had a flat on road probably could not have been able to loosen them!

Wish I could put 0 stars. I find it funny how Firestone advertises a free courtesy check with any service but I ended up leaving with all 20 of my lug nuts only hand tightened. Glad I noticed before anything life threatening happened, but I am definitely never returning here again.

Didnt even have an opportunity to get serviced by them but just walking in at 4:50 on a Monday and denying my service. Good thing theres NTB around the corner! Thanks for pushing me to a reputable company to service my vehicle.

I had an issue with my vehicle on a Sunday. They ordered parts and went to go pick it up in Chicago the same day. They even stayed late to finish the job! If I could give ten stars, this place would get it! A big shout out to service manager Hensler and mechanic Steve at the Joliet location!!!

I made appointment for wheel alignment, I had confirmation and 5 minutes before schedule, when I was 2 min from their store, they called me : we can not do your alignment. i wasted my time and fuel. Never make appointment there.

We had our car serviced here many times. This last oil change however the rear cover that protects the oil pan and engine area flew off while driving down the turn pike in Ohio. Not good. Took it back to Firestone when we arrived back in town. They stated they would replace it, two weeks later still no cover. I know that this may be a part that is hard to find perhaps but all this time the area under my vehicle is unprotected, not good. So I am still waiting for this to be cleared up......to be continued

Took my blazer in for an alignment and tire rotation. Rotation wasnt done at all and alignment still off. So we took it back again. Tires didnt get rotated again and alignment still off. This time the battery died. Was supposedly checked 2 days prior at that same location with no problems but now its junk. I had to buy a new one. 3rd trip, after a call to district manager, HOORAY tires got rotated! Alignment still off. If you hold my steering wheel straight you will change lanes.

Love this place for being open memorial day weekend but they charge $200 for a simple fix.

Wanted me to buy new parts just to do a tire rotation.

Not honorable business practices. My wife brought her car in for an oil change. They never asked her what type of oil. Automatically put in the more expensive synthetic option even though it has never been done before. They did drain regular oil out. This is always a choice at other locations and if your a man coming in. Dont let your wifes come in this location alone.

Went in for an oil change, had a coupon for 19.99 they charged me $32. Said I had to pay extra because my car took 6 quarts of oil instead of 5. Really that much extra for 1 quart of oil?!?!?! Also told me I had a nail in my tire and it wasnt repairable ask me to buy a new tire. I told them no because I had a warranty on them and took my car to Discount Tire to have it fix. Discount checked all my tires and said there was nothing wrong with any of them. Do not go here trying to scam people.

I Had an Appointment made for 9:00am. I was told it would take no longer than 30 minutes. I Showed up at exactly 9:00am.My car didnt go into the shop until 9:45.At 10:30 a woman was in the shop thanking one of the mechanics for squeezing her in(This may or may not be related, I didnt ask.)My car wasnt out of the shop until 10:45. (Also The place was not busy at all)I asked what took so long and the guy talked to me like I was a little kid and said an appointment isnt for the time the car can be serviced only to put you in line for the next available spotI have been to several firestone locations and none of them ever seem to take customer service seriously, I now only do my own vehicle maintenance or go to competitors since going to firestone does not save me any time or money(ever)
