Will be reporting to IDPH. As licensed Healthcare worker, Im very familiar with assessment and treatment guidelines in the state of Illinois. Was seen by a dentist, experiencing swelling and an abscess, ultimately informed I need a root canal/extraction and require antibiotics to allow for healing prior to procedure. Received my quote on OOP expenses, and said I would review and let them know this week what works best for me. In the meantime, I was informed the provider would NOT be sending in my antibiotic because I did not pay FOR A PROCEDURE THAT HAS NOT OCCURRED YET. However, they are gladly billing my insurance for my check up today including x-rays, so ultimately this provider assumed to render care for me, and is now withholding said care.

One of the young ladies who did my X-rays did not introduce herself. However, Carrie was so nice, professional, and honest. I am happy with my deep cleaning she did. She took her time as well. Office is super clean and nice. Very spacious. I will be back for my fill in and future needs ! Thank you!

The Joliet office was awesome answered all my questions I am very petrified of the dentist and they made me feel very comfortable definitely will be going there again

I went there last year to have a tooth removed, the so called dr did removed it but said I would need to removed all my teeth because they where getting bad, I said i was not ready for all that, so when this male Dr . had removed the bad tooth he left a root in my gum, which i didnt know, so later on in months i had gotten a bad infection, when i went back he was no longer there but i couldnt get any antibiotics for the infection so I had to go elsewhere, but since that dr. was gone I gave Aspen another chance . long story short six months later I finally gotten my partials, I would go back and forth fixing my partials with others, they would sent me home and try them out but on 09/29 i went there to adjusted my bottom partials and a young man named Nathan was helpful and took his time to get them just right and fitted, then he called me the next day and said my upper partials came in and he fixed them also, we need more like Nathan there, that cares for our well being

Getting dentures is definitely a big change in life, mixed emotions throughout the whole process!! I was blessed to have a great Dentel assistant PAGE !!!! She stuck with me through the whole process and got me in with last minute appointments for adjustments knowing I had a vacation schedule.Page is truly a caring & dedicated employee!!! Service was very good, prices were great but there was supposed to be a prescription for an antibiotic called into my pharmacy before my teeth are extracted and the prescription has not been called in. I am not very happy about that especially since I reminded them of that before I left.

Extremely pleasant and helpful experience. Thoroughly explained what they would be doing and what I should expect. Special thanks to Natalie who was absolutely wonderful explaining the costs and helping me with any financial questions I had about payment options. I would strongly recommend this office to anyone needing dental help.

Great staff!!! The staff was very friendly and the service was great. The only down side was the wait time and I guess it’s because of the weather and all. But other than that everything else was phenomenal. Went there for a second orthodontist consult and their pricing was a lot more affordable and reasonable compared to my current orthodontist pricing. The process was quick and easy as well for the consult. I’m thinking of switching to aspen, but let’s see how the remainder of the orthodontist process goes.

I had an amazing experience here, everyone was nice, I felt relaxed especially in the room itself with the TV. They took the time To explain things to me. But Shelby just Topped it off with being so caring even though I said I couldn’t afford certain things she didn’t make me feel rushed or anything great team!

My experience this time around was better than my first visit. This crew actually seems like they know what they are doing. I only gave 4 stars because I was there for 4 hours. Which I feel it shouldn’t have taken that long. But overall great experience.

Had a string of bad experiences with dentists in the past and developed severe anxiety walking into an office for years. Was embarrassed of all the work I needed but Aspen was a great experience so far with everything. I did not get treated medically as I should have. The dentist I saw regarding my tooth infection didn’t do much for me when I saw him on Thursday. When my infection got worse I called the emergency number at the location on Saturday cause my infected tooth got worse they told me to wait 3 or 4 Days for the antibiotics to work. So I was able get into immediate care and they helped my infected tooth by giving me better antibiotics. All the care about is padding your bill here. Do not come here.

I felt that my insurance and others do not contribute enough towards payment of dental work. Also you guys charge for everything where it should be covered by insurance because I feel it’s preventive maintenance. Your prices are high.

They are disrespectful of your time. The dentist asked for the dental hygienist who was working on my teeth to help out with another patient. This occurred a couple times several minutes each time. I find this to be unacceptable. Hire more staff if its needed. Be considerate of all patients time.

Lack of transparency in the summary of treatment plans. Prices fluctuate and you dont get notified about it up until the bill is due. Unprofessional office manager that doesnt return your calls on time, unless its about scheduling a treatment plan. The doctor did an amazing job though.

Tell u dont ever get dentures here I paid 8 grand the teeth are so small when u smile u cant see teeth . hard to eat I had mine for almost 2 years the best ones they have and bottoms no longer fit u eat they come righ out and they look like some one made them with out any training they are all hacked up food gets under the front cause the gum part is not high enough very bad quality now looking to get new ones trying find good spot I was going go back have rods put in so they stay in but they are very bad quality for the price I paid

First off, when we called i was told they took my insurance. they don’t. the nurse, the hygienist & the dentist were all very sweet, & made sure i didn’t have any questions, but didn’t fully address the issue i went for. after that, the “office manager” sat me down, printed out an estimate for $14,000 (many of these things were definitely not necessary, forexample a $150+ toothbrush) & talked to me in a very unprofessional manner, putting her hand up, telling me to take a deep breath, giving me attitude.. when i was clearly unhappy with what i was given. & the best part was no one thought to prescribe an antibiotic for an obviously infected tooth until i asked for one (multiple times). i definitely recommend looking around before going to aspen dental.

Absolutely horrible. Went here for the first time and staff was playing around in the back loudly. When I come to a dental office I expect at LEAST my name to be called but all I got was a “hey do you want x-rays done?” Staff definitely needs to be fired for that. Also the wait time is RIDICULOUS! It was only two other people in the waiting room and we were both waiting for half an hour while hearing staff laugh very loudly and fooling around.

After they took from the insurance benefits, they gave me a total remaining balance which I paid in cash.They just sent a bill for $228.10 extra. Total scammers. Avoid at all costs.

My girlfriend and I both love this dentist.. it took me years of fear avoiding the dentist until I found this place. They did everything they could to help me out and then some.Besides feeling welcomed, they were completely professional and have an incredible friendly staff.Definitely 5 stars all around, So keep up the great work!

Went in about getting an abscessed tooth removed that was causing me pain. Tried to talk me into all this other stuff. Dentist said lets put you on antibiotics to clear it up then come back for the pull. Fine. Went into their management office to discuss financials got told i need some scaling procedure...for $1300 out of my pocket! Said no right now i just need tooth out. Will do rest when insurance kicks in on first. Got told they couldnt pull tooth without that being done first. Said I couldnt do it because I couldnt afford it and wouldnt apply for their financing as I know I wouldnt get approved. Basically said couldnt help me and sent me away with a huge infection. No antibiotics and no help.

The office I went to has a wonderful doctor however, the administrators had us pay for items that we didnt sign up for like an electric toothbrush etc. We were made to believe our payments were for dental care. While we had 2 Insurance plans we were constantly being charged. There seem to be some boarder line unethically finance practices. With that being said the main Doctor is awesome.

Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I felt comfortable in a dentist office, which rarely happens. My only complaint is that their oral surgeon only comes in once a month and its hard to schedule my life around that.

I must start off by saying I have been going to aspen dental for two years and things have changed. My experience yesterday9/30/20 was very good with the hygienist kevin. He had the most gentle hands. I could not tell he had done anything in my mouth. He is va very pleasant person and answered questions extremely well. He explained to me how to take better care of my teeth but complimented me of how well I had been doing in the process. One thing that bothered me is when I first arrived. The lady at the front desk did not check my temperature but took atleast to other customers that came in after me. I am not for sure why I would like to not think it was a racial thing but just not sure. I also could not understand that I had a 12 noon appointment and arrived 30 minutes in advance. Two other people came in after me but was called before me. That is the first time I experienced that. Overall it is ok but I will pay attention everytime I go. I need to add this I came out the bathroom and the receptionist that did not take my temperature seem to have gotten sassy with me when I stated I dont like coming to the dentist but I feel better after the work is done.

This location is awful. Absolutely unprofessional staff and management. They give the run around about your records, cost, and X-rays. My visit here to have my wisdom teeth pulled was very aggressive, rude, and poor bedside manner. Their oral surgeon is very pushy, dismissive, and talks to patient with no regard for humane treatment. The staff and the oral surgeon will deliver devastating news and then proceed to use force with no warning or tactfulness. After explaining my fears and concerns, he became very impatient, rude and dismissive. PLEASE I implore you, do not go to Aspen dental. Do your research, they have awful reviews all over the internet.

I am one of those people who absolutely hates going to the dentist. That has all changed. I am getting extensive work and I’m not in fear of going back. The staff and Dr. Martin make you feel very comfortable and they really ease your mind. Kendra who worked on my teeth today was excellent! She’s so kind and really cares about her patients. If I could give 10 stars, I wouldn’t hesitate to do so. I highly recommend Aspen Dental.

I am not a dentist person at all.I broke a tooth and had a job interview the next day so Dentist was great help me out to get me through it so now I can go back and take care of the rest. The staff was great and nice. They made me feel comfortable and not so nervous.

Stay away from Kendra. I have tried the other hygienist and she was way more patient and comfortable. Kendra will yank your mouth around and when you complain about pain tell you that six years of experience no one complained. I will be going to another branch where people can treat people like their human beings. She acted like I was her ex boyfriend or something??? Geesh

I had a very good experience. Everyone there is very nice the doctors and the hygienist very patient with me because I am a nervous person. Very concerned how I was feeling and my medical history. Very accommodating with the time for my appointments. I will be going back to them for any dental procedures that I need. I would recommend them for anyone who needs dental work.

I am new to this office and I just went in for a consult, although it was a few hours it was well worth the time. I have NEVER had a dentist take the time to talk to me about the my oral health care. I mean a regular dentist tell you to brush twice a day and floss. blah blah blah. But this Hygienist was extremely nice a patient and very thorough. I have an appt with her next week to continue my care and cleaning. I have been telling everyone about this place. I cant wait for the outcome once everything the hygienist and the doctor will be doing .

This place is nice on the outside and looks clean on the inside the staff is friendly and does their job to the best of their ability but the time management just god awful my appointment was at 5:30pm and as I sit here still waiting because it’s only been almost 2 hours why not right I’ve only been working all day and don’t have a family to get home to anyway but nevertheless I got absolutely nothing done but X-rays no cleaning no fillings just and it’s 7:30pm as I’m typing this review I definitely don’t recommend them take your business elsewhere

Friendly staff and took the time to get me in to get a bad tooth pulled. The Doctor was nice and did an excellent job on pulling my tooth with no pain. I would recommend Aspen Dental. I plan on going back to get the rest of my dental work done.

Very impressed with the professionalism of everyone involved! The hygienist and the doctor did an excellent job explaining all my issues and options in terms that were easy to understand. Seemed to be a little over booked ... appointment took longer than expected. All-in-all a very good experience.

Stay away from this place. They discuss personnel matters in front patients. I got to listen to the dentist and assistant talk about how they fired someone earlier. I did let the office manager knew about that. Also I was lied to about a partial cost. The same partial that they took 3 separate impressions to do and as of today it still doesnt fit in my mouth. When I started questioning the process I was told to pay another $1000 for a scan for a while new one. I HAVE NEVER HAD ONE THAT WORK AT THIS POINT AND NOW THEY WANT MORE MONEY FOR A WHOLE NEW ONE. I contacted the district manager and she blew me off and said if I have questions i could feel free to talk to the office manager. What horrible customer service. So over $2000 paid out and I have no partial.

Would not recommend this place. Went in for an emergency consultation for one specific tooth that needed a root canal (I told them this) only to have an entire x-ray panel done, to have all my gums measured and for them to try to tell me I need thousands of dollars of work done AND THEN TRY TO MAKE ME SCHEDULE APPOINTMENTS TO HAVE IT DONE. The doctor then told me i needed my wisdom tooth extracted instead of a root canal and sent me to a specialist about an hour away. I waited over an hour in the waiting room without speaking to a single person until someone finally asked me if I had been helped yet. The specialist then told me my wisdom tooth did not need extracted and that i did in fact need a root canal. So i had to go see yet AGAIN another dentist. I just called today to get a refund of all the money i am owed for not having my tooth extracted and they wont refund my money, saying it was all part of the consultation fee. Seriously, go anywhere else but this place.

Up sale...up sale..up sale. They got me in at a decent first time patient pricing then try to up sale me all kinds of stuff. They also required a deposit to hold an appointment for a following treatment that they claimed I needed done. Who does that? Two big double thumps down.

Great experience...was able to get my scheduled exam done and discuss exact costs of the treatment plan right after. Soon after the discussion they offered to start my deep cleaning right away (2hrs before they close so I was surprised). The wait time was short and everybody was very professional.

Never never never go to this establishment!!!! My insurance paid for all ex-rays and cleaning. They took numerous x-rays but no cleaning until I paid for $1100. Out of pocket expenses not needed when I went to another dentist in area confirmed!!!

The location in Lockport, IL was absolutely fantastic! The staff took excellent care, from the person at the front desk who checks you in, the hygienist, the doctor, the dental assistant as well as the office manager, Chrissy. What a great experience. Everyone made me feel welcome and they truly care about your oral health and giving you a confident smile 😁

I had previously given his place five stars because I loved the service and was excited to have a dentist and hygienist that actually explain things to me. But for a place who’s commercials advertise that they aren’t like other dentists overcharging you, they lie. I have never had so much bill confusion in my life. Every time I pay something off the next time I come back in its own no you actually owe this and it takes them forever to find their paper trail and they never clearly explain what’s going on. After the third time of being told my bill Was paid off and then surprised with another thing that wasn’t covered or wasn’t charged correctly I am done with this place. Which really sucks because they do a great job.

Amazing! I went to another place last year and they tried charge me 13k to fix everything. I was so scared I never went back. I finally went here because I had a horrible tooth pain. After going over everything it came to only 1800! They took my 2 bad teeth out right away. Amazing friendly service. I highly recommend them!

Wish I read these reviews before going to Aspen, I havent seen a dentist in 2 years, and that was my mistake telling them that. They said I had gum disease and said I needed Arestin treatment, me being gullible I said ok. I gave them my insurance info... did the treatment and I got a bill for close to 3000, I asked Aspen i thought that my insurance covered this. I was then told that sometimes insurance wont cover it and that is why we asked you to get the care credit. I then said if I was told that insurance may not cover this, I wouldnt have gotten this, the only thing the office manager did was shrug her shoulders.

From my experience I highly recommend. They went over & beyond to help me. I’m very satisfied with my results, now I’m all smiles. Thank you!

This place is a joke! Ran by money hungry corporate not the DENTIST. They refused to perform a regular cleaning on a returning vet who hasn’t had his teeth cleaned in over a year. Don’t get fooled into paying for extra care, an electronic tooth brush, and services you don’t need!

I would give this office ZERO stars, however I am required to give at least one apparently. Tried to schedule an appointment and after telling them upfront I was not looking for a new dentist, only looking for either a partial repair or new one and refusing to give my home address and other personal information for a consultation appointment, the receptionist refused to set an appointment. Tried to tell me due to HIPPA they cannot set an appointment without all of my personal info. I would have been happy to provide that at the consultation however I will take my money elsewhere. I would have been a cash paying patient so there was no need for any info as there would have been no insurance to verify.

I have always been afraid of going to the dentist but their staff is so friendly and calm. After my consult I was actually looking forward to getting started. I am grateful I picked their facility.Now that i am finally thru with the procedure I am not as satisfied with this facility. There were several cancelled appointments and even though I paid upfront for everything I was asked to pay more than price quoted on 3 separate occasions.

I went to Aspen care yesterday my experience there was absolutely great!!! I was very impressed by the office staff all the way to the Dr. And the hygenist Kendra. I was a bag of nerves they help to put my nerves at ease. The Dr. Explain to me wat was going on with my teeth and Kendra explain to me in details what had to be done to improve the poor health of my teeth. She did a absolutely superb job with the deep cleaning of teeth. I never looked at my teeth till I got home. I was amazed and shocked how clean and white my teeth looked!! She was patient and understanding as well. There is also another lady I dont remember her name but she worked in the billing department not sure if that is what it is called ..but any way I was so worried about the expenses due to the poor health of my teeth. She helped me to lower the cost by offering me some options and I was impressed of the amount I would have to pay after so much it cost and the money I saved. I recommend this place with all five stars. Oh let me not leave out the office is clean and so is the rest room.

The staff is really nice. My experience wasnt so great unfortunately. I had an appointment scheduled at 5 for the hygienist and made it back around 5:30. We finally started that part and finished up. I was then supposed to see the doctor for some fillings and was numbed at 6:40 but didnt see anyone until 7:10. The doctor didnt say a word and just started working on my mouth after numbing the spot again. I learned his name afterwards. I would just expect in the future visits that there is more respect for others peoples time or at least letting me know i was delayed. My first hygienist though was absolutely amazing !

I made an appointment for cleaning, basic Xray took almost 25 minutes leaving some painful marks in my mouth. Waited for some time for the Dentist only to be told to make another appointment for cleaning. Wasted my time. I called Troy Dental and was able to get cleaning done the next day. I have been to Troy sevelral times and I dont know why I went to Aspen.

One of my front teeth broke this summer. I went to the dentist with the intent of having it repaired. I knew, however, there were a lot of other problems. I had the preliminary exam. I spoke with the doctor. The situation wasnt good. I was overwhelmed. I decided, however, to proceed because I felt comfortable with Dr. Raino. Unfortunately, you dont always see your dentist. You see a variety of other people, and it is not always clear that everyone understands what is supposed to be done and what the long term plan is. It can be frustrating and unnerving to say the least. I knew that the first step would be extractions. They ended up doing six extractions, four on the bottom and two on the top. I am still not sure why the two teeth on the top were pulled. I had never had any pain or problem with the two teeth that were pulled. The problem tooth on the top was in the same place on the opposite side of my mouth. The extraction process was one of the most horrific things I have ever endured. I can honestly say that it was worse than the post-op I had for two separate hip replacements, and the pain was much worse. The four teeth on the bottom came out fairly easily. The two teeth on the top...another story. Even after numerous shots of novacane, I was literally 6-8 inches up off the chair in more pain than I can articulate here. The recovery was much the same. I actually cried on the way home. I couldnt believe that the doctor said to just take Tylenol and that I didnt need an antibiotic. Within a few hours, I had to take a narcotic pain killer and had to continue to do so for several days. The partials themselves were incredibly painful. They were a little bit better when they were adjusted three days later, but I still cant wear them. I told the doctor at my initial exam, Im a teacher. I have to speak for seven hours a day. Speaking with the partials was impossible; it still is. Having the partials in your mouth is like having one of those mouth guards that football players wear only not being able to take it out after a play. It is now just over two weeks later. The pain is finally gone, but I still cant eat anything other than soft foods. I cant chew anything...with or without the partials. I cant wear the partials and do my job. The students cant understand me. I sound like a stroke victim. With the partials in my mouth I sound like a person with a severe developmental disability. So, I have to go without them. I have gaping holes in my mouth. My students laugh at me. I can say with absolute honesty that I have never regretted any decision more in my entire life.UPDATE - Its much worse now. I could never wear the partials at work. I tried to wear them at home. The fit only got worse and worse. I gave up. I stopped leaving the house, so embarrassed by what has become to my mouth. I am a freak now. I went to another dentist. He looked around my mouth and said he wouldnt touch it. He suggested I go back to Aspen. When I finally had enough courage to back to Aspen, Covid came along. I NEVER even received the permanent partials. The damage has continued. I dont even know now if I could wear the partials. My self-esteem has been destroyed. To top it all off, I received a bill for almost another $800.00. I have no idea how much they have already scammed from my insurance company. Through this whole thing, I thought maybe someone would contact me, ask me what happened. NOTHING! NO COMMUNICATION! I cant sing. I cant speak properly. I have actually been thankful for Covid because I can wear a mask when I leave the house, but I try not to talk to anyone. I wish I had NEVER heard of Aspen Dental.

My mom is 90 and between her Dimensia and the fact that she only has 35%hearing in one ear and is deaf in the other makes her a challenge to deal with. The appointment desk got her in right away because they knew she was in pain. She was treated with such kindness and compassion. Not only did they fix her problem with her dentures, but they sent her home with all kinds of things to help her so that she doesn’t have this problem again. The cost was beyond reasonable. The products they sent me home with for free cost more than I paid for her visit! I am making an appointment for myself and recommending them to my brother and anyone who needs a dentist.

Kendra is a great hygenist. Star can not be beat for keeping me from drooling all over while Dr is working in my mouth. Dr Wills was great. Office staff is right on the ball. I have never had a better experience with any Dentist or Dental office in over 60 years I have been having dental care.C Glovier

Dr. Craig Raino is the only dentist I want to work with. He is excellent and I’d recommend him to anyone.

I have never had the greatest experience than in the last 3 weeks of visiting Aspen Dental, Peru and Joliet locations. They are polite, walk you through every step, and very careful not to make any mistakes. I always get worjed up, going to the Dentist, they helped me get over that fear. After summoning the courage to face a dentist, I came upon Aspen Dental, Joliet.Unfortunately for me, lab techs pretending to be doctors. Wax teeth try ons were insufferable and hideous. With an overbight on lower teeth which I never had. Unprofessional, supposed doctors never introduced themselves so I never knew what was happening. I had already paid in full and was extremely concerned.Finally I contacted the office manager, to say I did not feel comfortable with proceeding. She tried to insist I get my teeth pulled but I said there is no replacement.I did get a refund but the experience was horrible. Beware their advertisements are false.L. Nelson

Great experience...theyve been awesome....took expert care of my repair and had me out the door quickly....that and they are the cheapest around

My appt was for 11 a.m. i arrived 15 minutes early to do paperwork, i gotten out at 1:55pm, had to meet with too many depts to meet with, i wasnt impress with my first visit

Horrible experience! I took my fiancé here as a new patient...to start off my fiancé said she heard the short dark haired assistant/ technicians while getting x rays taken say “these patients are so annoying” if we are such an annoyance/bother we will gladly go take our business elsewhere. Anyway my fiancé just got a cleaning 2 months ago at another dental office and they tried to tell her she needed to get ANOTHER cleaning because she’s got a disease even though she JUST had a cleaning! Finally we go see the manager of finances and she was very unprofessional!! Will never be coming back here again. Don’t go to aspen dental we patients are annoying supposedly!!

All in all a good experience. Scheduled a procedure the following week. Dr talked about performing the procedure that, which couldnt have happened due to my coumadin/warfarin therapy, which was stated on my patient form.Called the after hour service to discuss the pain management. Phone call was never returned. That was frustrating.
