I delivered to the people at Pal-Serv and they were nice people.
You can not park here, but the employees were very friendly and helpful, a good place to drop and hook.
The place is a bad joke. They have an entire system in place designating the location of trailers and where to drop. They dont use it. Assign you slot and basically tell you that it wont be empty, so drop it anywhere and good luck finding the one youre supposed to be picking up.
Live unloads or loading means dropping your trailer on site then bobtailing somewhere to park till your trailer is ready for PU. 5miles away theres a Petro Truck Stop.
This property is ridiculously huge . It is hard to find a place to drop a trailer here. It is also a challenge to find an empty trailer here. Prepare to spend at least 45 minutes just for a drop and hook here
Security guard with the long black beard could be nicer n more respectful js
Check in check out in gate from 11-1 pm very very slow it will take you 1 hour
Dont come here with live unlod we il take min 5 hours
Rude and misinforming security guards working here. Theyre super slow to get trucks in and out, I dont think they actually understand how logistics works because if they did, theyd be a lot more informative and move a lot faster.Had an older woman at the outbound side who I needed to take my gate pass. I was bobtailed so all she had to do was take the slip and scan it. No trailer inspections no load confirmations nothing. That was apparently too difficult for her. Sat in her office and STARED AT ME for about five minutes. If she was on break you couldve sent one of three other guards in there standing around to just get it. And I was not the only driver dealing with this.
Went through the gate pretty fast and drop my trailer and got out
This place is very unorganized they told us to drop the trailer in a certain spot and the spot was taking so a yard jockey told us just drop it any where then they didn’t give us an empty instead told us to bobtail out and in doing so they asked us where we dropped the trailer and sent us back to retrieve the location spot number for them. Then when we leave our driver manager tells us to go back to the location the next morning since we needed to have an empty trailer. When arriving back at the location the guards tell us they have one empty trailer but we need to find it ourselves so we drive around the lot and there was NO EMPTY TRAILERS! This place needs better management and to hire more organized staff all there working seem not to care and are LAZY!
Was able to get in and out in 15-20 minutes.
Its ur normal HD DC hectic!
Drop in hooks are fairly easy but the guards overnight are very non helpful and sleep while you are waiting to check in and out and they don’t know or tell you where to get an mty trailer from after looking through out the whole dc none were found but my company had numerous trailers loaded in yard spots and in the doors this is one of the most unorganized Home Depot DC”s I’ve been to this year and I go to them often
Great place to work if youre looking for a job its an adventure when you get in there theres nothing more I can say about this place but very well very well place
I dont like being outside
Remote check in at guard shack on Sunday other than that new experience in and out quick.
Never come back here. They want to drop your trailer. Any spot, and tell the number where you drop it. But there are no numbers you can not see it. Im going to bring some paint. For do the numbers. App. At 8PM midnight still here.
Always look forward to the efficient inbound and outbound staff.
Bads check in check out very bad
5 stars for being nice and kind but 1 star for taking me in and out too long. Need to repaint the number on the ground too can’t see good at night(41.4372434, -88.1429196) truck enter/exitForm in line stay in the truck the guard will come to you. If you have empty to to drop or loaded open the door for them to check. Check in with ID.-They will give you a pass keep that for check out too.-drop trailer by the lot number can be anywhere around the building-go to the office to pick up BOL. To save your time ask for the location for the lot number of your trailer. He will show you the map. Sometimes the trailer park at the front 2 corners of the building. You cannot see the number. Just the corner that doesn’t have the number on the top of the building.-when they tell you to go pick up your BOL then they keep sending you to another door.-if your seal not match don’t move. tell the guard first and he will go to see the transportation supervisor to approve.-sure is heavy and they like to put heavy stuff in the back. They have scale in the back by axle at the time.-speed 10 mph. Be careful the yard guys.-if you have to park blocking the trailer you have to come back fast. Because they use most area.My dropped and hook almost 3 hrs.
3 young security guards in the early 20s, didnt want to let me in to get my own trailer.
I work there and they are pretty good to their people.
Great
Busy place but guards are awesome
Live load, In and out in under an hourDock had a trailer in it 1/4 of the way pulled out, asked a spotter and he moved it out of the way.Address said Joliet but GPS kept auto changing it to Elwood. But its the Same place. For live unload person comes out and asks for paperwork and comes back out after green light.
Takes to long to get through the gate
Seriously?!?! 5 hrs to get unloaded (and still waiting!!) Why do we do this to ourselves drivers, why?! I hope if u are smart enough (not like me) and check the reviews before u get the load... will never EVER do a load to this facility. Let jb hunt deal with this. (They do the dedicated runs for them)
Decent place to work. Supervisors are fair and reasonable, pay is decent.
Yard size is huge, plenty of space to maneuver, but sadly the guard shack lacks any customer service skills....smh extremely disappointing to see YOUNG people talk to us (DRIVERS) like we are children let alone on the same pay scale......wow. at least try to do your job, and not be ignorant because its hot outside.
Gates can back up. But still not bad. If drop had hook fast. If live unload appt time only. 2 hours at dock..
They wouldnt hire me but they treated me as if they were eager to have me join them
Glacially slow move to get in the gate. Three lanes, three check in workers, and each truck takes between 5 and 15 minutes on a Saturday afternoon? Slowest HD DC Ive encountered anywhere. Time for some training or a different security outfit. Guards were so slow and lazy, it was a supreme effort for the two I encountered to actually speak.
This is place is a joke,no one knows anything, no one can answer single question, dropped the trailer 3 weeks ago for unloading still cannot get it back, every time I call they hang up or keep transferring from one desk to another
Sometimes you can drop your load early, but if your company isn’t a mega carrier good luck finding an empty. But overall I had a great experience here. Very friendly people!
Do not deliver here you will be waiting until all JB hunt trucks are in. Been sitting in line over a damn hour
This place is the worst the guards are rude, and when you drop the trailer no one awnsers the phone
Hopefully a quick hook up and head out for the next Load!
Incredibly slow at the gate.
Avoid them, no more deliveries to this place,no communication, mess, irresponsible, ignorant, if you want to LOSE your trailer this is the right place
Once you learn the lay out its easy in and out for drop and hook. Have not live unloaded here.
Helpful spotting staff. Pleasant experience.
Excellent! These guys and gals, ROCK!
Not a good day here today. Guess really busy but cant seem to get my trailer finalized. But the check in lady is great
Not overcrowded. In and out in a reasonable time. Helpful security staff.
Always get a quick drop n hook here
Be aware from elwood police ther the need to make money off trucks
Amazing all together
Pays alright and most supervisors are super cool
Great people do business with clean yard friendly staff tight security
Nice place to work.
Hardly understandable security people.. need to hire more professional people!!!
Ok place to work; if they didnt care so much about numbers instead of the people
Great place, friendly staff!
It wasnt bad but i do not think they have the hotdog stand like you see at some of the bigger home depots!
No trailers at home depot
Avoid this place, if you have a live load you will stay there 1,2 days, they don’t care about your appointment
This place is so disorganized
I work here 🥰
Great place to work Job stability great benefits
Dont stop on the crosswalk when checking in they will make you back up. Good place to drop and hook
Applied there three times got an interview never got a call back.
Easy drop and hook.pu and del.
They are consistent. Always on point...
Great place to work, wonderful environment and team to work with.
There was a cute girl there and lots of room
15 minute drop and hook.. nice 😁⛟⛟⛟⛟
They did the Cardinal sin. They did not have an MT Trailer for me. That is a big deal in the Chicago market.
Love working here
Great place to work now hiring
Fun place to shop .
Very Nice!
Two warehouses. Office is in the right building. They load early.
I find everything I need for my projects.
Quick in and out for drop and hook.
Sometimes I have to wait, sometimes Im in and out very quickly.
It was a hard place to find. It seemed like every other street was designated no trucks.
I love the new onsite scale!
Great place to work for!! Maybe be hard work but it is worth it!!
Very helpful staff
Roll in & Roll out no problems...
Best place for drop and hook
Super super slow avoid this place driver save time and money
Very fast loading
Excellent place to work.
I love the home depot
This one of the best place
Not sure why Google maps has dual names for this place but you can see the review on the other name.
Great place to start a career
5 hours to get empty, 3 trucks with paint live unload, still waiting
They will never accept the load without a BOL
This place is larger than I thought.
Best crew ever
Very slow at the gate to get in. But its drop and hook for delivery
