I was out of town and my college-age daughter was on her way to my in-laws in Johnstown when she ran into some car trouble. She needed a new alternator. I go out of my way to find tires at the best possible price. Carmans is almost always able to give me the best price in town. Theyre also really fair and upfront about their service. I went in once with a at tire expecting to have to buy a new one, but they offered to patch the hole for a fraction of the price of a new tire. I highly recommend checking this place out next time you need tires on your car.

Relaxing waiting room great atmosphere and excellent fast service

Very long wait. I sat there 90 minutes. I just came in for an inspection. But it appeared that the tire sales were first. This place had 7 bays to work in. Ill never go back. Theyre not very friendly. No smiles, no thank you.

No masks. Called to make sure they had the tires my Mom wanted and they didnt have them and had to take a substitute. They called while her car had already been there about 2 hours so we had to take it. The store dog was cute

This was the worst customer service I have ever received. They were busy so ok ill wait. It took 2 hours to get snow tires put on. They didnt call my name when the car was done just shouted out the make and model. Ran my credit card for 577 dollars and couldnt even thank me took the print receipt and walked away.. will find someone else next time they wont get another dime from me

Grandfather who is a loyal customer told me to come to this business for any maintenance when I first got my car. Always a job well done and not paying out the nose for things such as oil changes or inspections. Very welcoming too.

One of the best places Ive taken my handicapped van to, reasonable prices, pleasant staff and accommodating. Very busy we went in late in the day for tires and were told it was an hour and a half wait, but they got to us alot sooner. Told us other stuff we needed but didnt push for the sale, they let us decide- thats the way it should be- No hassles. Highly recommend them. I no longer live in the area, but I try to coordinate vehicle repairs for when Im visiting family so I can take my car to Carmens based on the level of service and the fairness of pricing.

The lady at the front desk was rude. I had a tire that needed mounted with a tube and didnt want it scratched. I totally understood if they could not do it but the way she talked to me was less than polite. I just wanted to speak with someone that actually mounts the tire.

Maria is rude. They were extremely busy. She was speaking loudly to a customer and purposely loud enough so all in the waiting room could hear. She said “ I’m not a people pleaser and I don’t put up with anyone’s “expletive”. What a way to treat your customers.! I watched her treat several customers badly. The entire waiting room full of people were looking at her.I waited an hour and a half longer than they told me. I was told an hour wait - 2 1/2 hours later I was still there. When I went in... i was upfront with needing to be out at a certain time. I was told that would be fine. I missed my appointment.When I saw the time was running short I calmly asked Maria if my car would be done in time. She jumped down my throat. No apologies just an attitude. She is the owners daughter. How sad she thinks she can treat people like that. Mr. Carmen has a nice business but an extremely unprofessional person at the desk.

The staff was VERY FRIENDLY and waited on me right away. .They had a comfortable seating area with TVs to watch while you waited. . HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT

Two different mechanics told me they believed Carmans may be responsible for my cracked rim after they changed my tire, which could have caused a catastrophic blowout. When I called them, I was gruffly told that there was no way they could have caused the crack, because they know how to do their job. They said aluminum rims sometime crack, but they would just seal it if they saw it. How do you seal cracked aluminum? I would think they would at least want to look at my rim, but the guy said hes not doing anything. This is a huge liability, one that they dont take seriously.

Took my car there for inspection, alignment and rear brake shoes. Two months later I almost wrecked my car because their tech did not hook the emergency brake cables back up when installing the new shoes. Called them to see if I could bring the car in for them to fix their mistakes, woman on the phone had an attitude and told me Id either have to leave work for a day and bring the car back in. Or wait two weeks till they can work on it on a Saturday. Their tech also did not set the self adjusters correctly, Im a marine technician and ended up pulling the car into my shop and fixing it myself. Dont take your car to these people they obviously dont employ trained techs.

Excellent family owned business which I knew since my childhood. They take care of you and make sure that you understand everything they need to do to your car. I purchased 4 new Hankook Tires with a 70,000 mile warranty which is excellent! And also a oil change and new muffler and tailpipe. My Durango sounds quiet now and rides smoother thanks to my new tires. I couldnt be happier with my purchase and the way I was treated! I recommend Carmens to anyone!!

Go early for tire installations because its first come, first served. I had a very long wait but it was a very busy time. (following first real snowfall). Poor planning in my part, but comfortable waiting room, clean restrooms and free coffee.

Took my car for an alignment and came back worse than when I took it in. Visually you can see the front toe is not straight. Open the hood and My camber plates were broke and a scratched up from them prying on it, but of course they didnt tell me.. (there is no need at all to pry on camber plates, you loosen 4 nuts and move it with your hand..). Had the car double checked at another shop and they confirmed the alignment was not even close to spec.

I ran over a piece of metal and called Carmens to see if I could get my tire plugged.. the man said to hurry because they were closing in ten minutes. I got there and they werent able to do the plug/patch because it was too close to the sidewall. It was saturday and as soon as I got there, they were closing up. I was pulling out when the mechanic yelled for me to come back, the woman behind the counter asked me a few questions and said that because I had recently bought my tires from them that they wanted to help.. the mechanic came out with a brand new tire already on my wheel! They stayed atleast an extra half hour on saturday for me and I cant think of a better way to express my gratitude than to tell everyone reading this that this is why you want to buy local, from the little guy.. hes going to shake your hand and tell you that they were happy to help, not ask you to press 1 for english!

The service here is great I was out when the roads got bad with not the best tires called Walmart they didnt have my size in stock but Carmens had it and put them on with no hesitation even though it was a half hour before closing!
