Would give zero or negative stars, but not an option.Will never use Sears again for repair work. On the appointment call the representative totally lied about the cost and terms of the warranty. Said it was $49.99 per year and the service fee would only be $75. Turns out its $49.99 per month and the $75 service call fee is not applicable to the first call. Fortunately I was able to get a refund after only four calls.As for the service call, tech said it was zip tie stuck in the filter drain. Ended up paying $148.73 for the call. Unfortunately when I started load of laundry it still leaked, and more than before he showed up. I dont think he bother to run the washer to see if it stopped leaking. Called another service, turns out the initial leak was due to the door boot. I replaced it but did not secure it firmly, left a gap. Sears tech should have found that. When I tried to get a refund on the service call, was told it was nonrefundable, after 4 call saying I would get a refund once the payment was posted at Sears. On fifth call was told the repair tech said it was fixed, so no refund. But could my $ back if a BBB accredited repair service could show it wasnt fixed by Sears. However, there are no BBB accredited repair services in our area. So out the $148.73 as a lesson to never to call Sears repair again.Btw, the second service only charged $106 and fixed the problem. Ran the washer to show me it didnt leak.

Needed my dryer repaired. The repair guy, Dave, was EXTREMELY knowledgeable. Gave suggestions and observations about all my other appliances where repais might be needed. Specifically my Samsung refrigerator and the drainage issue I will probably experience. Would have given 5 stars except for the price. They do things on a fixed price based on the repair vs hourly rate. $322 for a repair that took a little over an hour. Expensive.

Great Service, part order was placed, but it did take approximately 6 or more weeks to arrive, had to make several phone calls concerning the part. Once the part arrived the tech install it in a professional, polite and friendly manner. Kudos to the tech. Was disappointed in the part that took so long to arrive.

We are so impressed with the service we received today. Eric was our technician, and arrived right when he said he would. The problem with our washing machine was diagnosed and fixed all within about an hour, and the cost was far more reasonable than I imagined it would be. We did not purchase our appliances through them, and in the past I was not aware they could service items purchased elsewhere. I am so glad I know this now, and will be using them for any other home appliance repair needs we might run into. Thanks so much for making this annoying issue so easy to fix, and providing us with a pleasantly professional experience!

1st tech ordered wrong parts, long wait for appointments resulted in no refrigerator for 4 wks. Very poor response time. Will not use this home warranty service again

The refrigerator I purchased was only several years old and to compressor went. Was told a new compressor would be $700. We had no choice but to have it fixed. The technician that came out to fix it said he did not have to part on his truck based on to part number given to him over the phone, therefore I had to reschedule the appointment and order the part. I live 3.5 hours away and has to take a day off work to come up and meet technician. When he came Monday morning, he noticed that the part that was delivered looked smaller than the original part. After rechecking with the parts department he discovered that they had given him the wrong number and her DID have the part on his truck after all. This error causes me a missed day of work and an extra trip to there house.1. I am very dissatisfied with the product.2. I am very dissatisfied with the amount of money, and time I spent to repair refrigerator.3. I am very satisfied with the technician and his professionalism.

Very pleased with the repair of my washing machine. Dave was friendly, thorough and respectable. I would definitely use Sears Appliance Repair again and recommend the business to others.

This is the fourth time this refrigerator had to be serviced. The refrigerator is a prime piece of crap, however.........The service appliance repair personal is the greatest! These gentleman are top notch, personable and very prompt!

Repairman was there within the time predicted. (10:00 AM to Noon) He arrived at 10:45AM. He had it fixed within a short time. It was a blown fuse in the dryer. He did a good job, in a short time.

Repairman called when he was on his way, was very knowledgeable, and courteous. He explained the problems and made the necessary repairs in a timely fashion.

My washing machine has broke for the second time (under warranty). The first time was no big deal but still had to wait 3-4 weeks to get it repaired. 6 months later the same exact issue only this time Ive been waiting 5 weeks for it to be fixed and the next date for someone to get here is in almost 3 more weeks. The repair men were nice as can be, but their lead times on repairing things that I paid warranties on are horrible. For a lot of the time my appliance has been under the warrenty I paid for it has been broke.

The repairman arrived on schedule, was polite and very quickly fixed the problem; he was in and out of the door in approximately 20 minutes. I am not at all pleased about your rates. I had already purchased the part before the repairman had arrived, and then I was charged $234 for a job that required less than 15 minutes of hands-on time. This rate of $234/ quarter hour is exploitive and dishonest. I am building a new house in another state and had planned to purchase all new Kenmore kitchen and laundry appliances because up to now we have had a good experience withSears appliances. After this recent experience we have decided to switch to another brand. I doubt this will have any impact on your policies, but I refuse to pay $10,000 to a company that treats customers in this way.
