Went to Hilltop tire for check engine light. A thorough diagnostic check was done. A new transmission is needed. Chris was upfront and honest in needs of the car. While putting transmission in, minor parts were added as necessary. Very impressed with the Thoroughness and dedication that were taken to service my vehicle. Chris was fantastic to work with, so even though news was not good, the experience with Hilltop was pleasant. If you are looking for a car maintenance place, I highly recommend.

Staff and management were great. I remember the company from when they were smaller and used the family name. Ive had trouble finding a place that would work on motor homes tires, but they acted like it was no big deal. Now three locations here.

The crew at Hilltop responded expeditiously and resolutely to the jumping spark plug failure of the Triton engine of my beloved 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis.Thanks to the guys, I was soon on the road again to the Rocky Mountain Front to commune with grizzly bears 🐻 coming out of their winter torpor.All it took was an earful of rhythmic popping from the engine compartment for the chief mechanic to diagnose the problem.Then he made a quick run to a busy parts supplier, picked up the infamous Triton kit, and returned to the Hilltop garage to complete the repair.Im now carousing with griz in large part because my cross-country expedition didnt end abruptly in Des Moines, Iowa.Thanks, guys. Chris helped me get the wheels and tires I was looking for and gave me the stance I wanted on my truck. Very good crew, and explained everything throughout the process. They also had me stop back in to re torque everything. They have won me over, great bunch of guys.

These guys are great! I was having some speed wobble issue with my excursion, they found my wheels were very bad and tires weren’t balanced. I ordered new wheels and as soon as they get here I will be right back at Hilltop for them to swap tires and mount my new wheels.

Good experience! We ended up with a screw in our tire and they were able to patch and get us on our way quickly - and at the end of the day on a Friday.

These Guys are Great! Chris and his team always treat me as if I was their only customer. This is a family owned business and you can tell.

My son got a flat tire. The lug nuts were stripped so we werent able to change it. We had AAA tow his car to Hilltop Johnston at our request on a Sunday. Mot called first thing on Monday. 2 new tires and lugs taken car of by early afternoon.

This morning when I walked into my garage, I noticed one of my tires was flat- great start to the morning. I called 5 different local businesses in hopes it would be a quick fix. Each business told me that they could not fit me in and they were booked solid. Pretty disappointment as its hard to believe none of them could fit in an extra 20-25 minutes to fix the tire. Anyway, I called Hilltop in Johnston and they fit me in right away. I could tell they were also very booked but I got there and within 30 minutes my tire was fixed and all was good! We started at Bob Brown for service and inspections and received a rather large estimate. We then took our vehicle to Hilltop as we bought our tires there and were blown away at the honesty and customer service they presented us. This is how getting a car serviced should be. We will now be taking our vehicle here for oil changes and all minor service calls.

Quick tire repair and all your trailer needs.

Unfortunately sometimes automotive repair is a gamble. Taking my Acura TL to this facility cost me an entire day of headache. After charging 245$ to mount, balance and align all 4 wheels. I get on the road and the car is pulling to the left so hard its dangerous. I asked to see how this shop was performing their 135$ alignments. NO JOKE this guy is spray painting lines on my brand new bf Goodrich tires and using a tape measure to align my car. After getting my money back for the alignment. I leave and the TPMS system on my car stops working. I return once again, this time they argue up and down that the sensor error isnt their fault. All 4 wheels sensors worked PRIOR to bringing it to ther location. The technician didnt note that the system was broken. They ended up fixing the TPMS sensor. But he failed to BALANCE the tire after he replaced the sensor.Update November 2019, the tpms sensor they installed after damaging my OEM sensor, ended up dying. The battery died within 12 months. Now, I have to pay 50$ out of my pocket to REPLACE the junk aftermarket unit they installed. Bunch of ASE clowns that dont even know how to mount tires without breaking the valve off TPMS sensors, then blatantly lying to your face that they did no such thing.PSA: dont bother going to this location. They will use your lack of automotive knowledge to swindle you into work they have absolutely no idea how to perform. Save your time,money, and mental energy and STEER CLEAR!
