Wonderful group of people to help find your forever home or maybe just a rental

My realtor failed to communicate very important information from the beginning of the process. Seems like she was working for the buyer instead of me. Would NEVER use or recommend this agency.

Our experience with the Remax/Checkmate Office was excellent. My wife and I lived out of state and we were looking to retire to the Johnson City Tn. area. We asked to speak to a Realtor and Shonna Weddle was introduced to us. This was 2016. We stayed in touch by her providing listings emailed to us and answering questions. In June 2020 we moved to Johnson City and she was ready to pickup the ball and run. In no time at all she located a property that was exactly what we were looking for. She helped us negotiate the bidding process and we WON! Thanks to her we now own a 3.2 acre property in a beautiful area just down from the Watauaga River. Thanks Shonna.

I called this office on 9/13 as a potential buyer in the Erwin market. I am/was represented by an agent out of town. This Remax and its on-call agent was incredibly inflexible in working with me on scheduling a viewing, and I am confident it was because I had my own representation. Our agent is not local to the area, which requires us to rely on the seller (in this case ReMax Checkmate) to assist in being flexible with providing showings.My favorite quote: Youre going to have to work this out with your agent because youre asking us to show this house and work for nothing.The on-call agent, because she was not able to represent us and receive commission (we already have representation), was adamant in not performing any effort to help her fellow listing agent, who was not available. At the end of the day, I asked this organization to show a property that was represented by this organization, and due to this on-call agents selfishness and poor team ethic, we were not and will not be viewing any properties represented by ReMax Checkmate. This was a pretty awful representation of team work in my assessment. Selfish, and set a bad tone for our interest in the Erwin area.

RE/MAX Checkmate is the best real estate company in the Johnson City area. The realtors are honest, helpful, and truly care about your happiness with a new home.
