Ive gotten so many plants here and theyre all thriving (except the ones I mistreated). Can be a bit pricy, but worth it for the quality and opportunity to support a small local business. They do sometimes have plants on clearance, which I enjoy purchasing and trying to rehabilitate. Thank you 14th Street Garden Center for making my home a jungle!

Kinda glad I didnt find this nursery at the beginning of the pandemic when I first turned into a plant mom, lol! they have a much more exotic and wider selection than most but definitely a bit overpriced and I wouldve been totally broke cuz this place has addiction potential. I did manage to find a Monstera Ginny there which I swore would be the last plant Ill ever buy. Sure. Their accessories seemed more reasonably priced, resisting the urge to go back again.

Huge selection of indoor plants and ceramic pots, friendly staff, easy parking. I’ve got most of my houseplants here, they plant them for you which is super helpful.

Helpful staff, good selection of Espoma fertilizer products. Interesting selection of perennial, tropical and succulent plants however the prices are extremely high. The average price for a perennial $15 -$17.

The plants here are so beautiful. Theyre a bit pricey but still worth the purchase.

Nice pots. Almost nothing flowering. Some unusual foliage plants, good specimens and healthy looking. Always overpriced. Better to spend a little more on gas and go to a serious garden center like Metropolitan Plant.

If youre into plants, walking into this place is like being an 8-year-old kid walking into Toys-R-Us. They have a great variety of big hearty dinosaur plants, cool & interesting succulents, and even some exotic tropical plants. Theyll pot anything for you for free right there, too (pretty nice selection of pots, as well). Best plant store in Hudson County!

The best!!! Israel is our guy and we would be lost with no plants/flowers without him. He is always willing to help and give us ideas - thank you to the whole staff. Especially Israel.

So many fungas gnats everywhere. Ive also found mold and MEALYBUGS. I really wish this place was on top of pest control because they have a lot of plants but prices are also pretty high compared to other stores nearby.

Extensive selection of plants, pots, and soil in early March. They’re friendly, efficient and helpful. They even repot your plants and drill holes in pots purchased there for free. I’ll be sure to go here for my future plant needs. As always, be sure to inspect your plants beforehand for any bugs/mites.

Good variety of indoor plants. I was looking for snake plants & song of india, got pretty fresh ones & also pots for a good rate. Also LOVEDDD the variety of Succulents! Nice & friendly staff.

I guess I cant blame anyone else but myself but this place sells too many hole-less pots compared to holed ones. Its a real shame because they have a nice selection of pots and weve resorted to drilling a hole ourselves. I overheard others planning to do the same as they browsed the pots selection. Its utterly baffling why a serious plant store such as this would sell so many pots without drainage holes! We bought 3 pots in the last 4 months from here and 1 we were able to drill a hole, the other 2 were too hard.

This is my favorite spot in JC. The staff are so helpful and knowledgeable. The plants can be pricey but theyre always in fantastic condition. We also get out Christmas tree here every year and we are always so happy ❤️ cant recommend 14th st garden center enough!!

Today I bought these two cactus. I had to get a uber since I don’t drive. I had a problem with my phone. I couldn’t use the internet. I asked the staffs if I can use the wifi to get a uber. The staffs tried their best, but they didn’t know the password for the wifi. The staff tried to get a uber with her phone with my credit card, but my credit card was declined. I didn’t have any other card or cash. I asked if they have a delivery service. They do have, but it costs $40, and it doesn’t make sense cause uber would cost around $15.Then, they offered me a free delivery for these lovely cactus. They delivered these cactus to my apartment on the same day for free!I really would like to thank the staffs!! Thank you so much 😊😊I was also impressed by the diversity of their plant. I would love to visit and get more plants. The prices are reasonable, and they pot the plants for free.

Staffs are so helpful and friendly. We got 5 plants from them, different sizes. They all look beautiful in our apartment. Will definitely come back for more!

Wonderful variety of fall goods (pumpkins, plants, corn, hay, etc.) in addition to the best selection of indoor plants for this time of the year that Ive seen in the area. Just discovered this place and Ill definitely be back!

Their plants (or maybe soil) are infested with mites and fungus gnats. I took two healthy plants there to get repotted, and now I need to deal with serious infections, have already spent a lot of money on pesticides and stuff. People there are really nice and helpful. A nice variety of plants. I suggest you to repot your own plants and inspect the plants and soil thoroughly before purchase.

I love this plant store! They have every plant option you could want and they always provide great customer service! I think its pricier than some larger chain stores but worth it.

Nice and spacious shop with helpful staff and a huge variety, but it’s extremely expensive!! You could find some of these plants at a farmers market for less than half the price.

I’ve bought many plants from here to care for and use to decorate my apartment. Coming here is an adventure with friends or alone. The prices are fair compared to other shops in the area and the workers are friendly which is a huge plus.

Its a great place and they have lovely options but every single plant Ive gotten from them has gotten spider mites. I have to tell myself to stop going because I know they have great plants but I cant keep wasting my money on plants that are infested. Ive told them times before about plants that I have shown them that have mealy bugs. If you go, please do have a thorough look at the plant before purchasing

This is where I get my Christmas tree every year. They have a good selection of fresh trees in various sizes at better prices than anywhere else I have looked over the years. (I tried Home Depot which is cheaper but the trees made Charlie Browns tree look like a world class specimen). Also, my neighbors get plants for their stoop potted and delivered and they always look amazing.

I have been going to this place for years. They are awesome. They are kind, lovely humans who do good business and are willing to go the extra mile for a customer. Prices are fair for a private plant store. I always have a great experience here.

We get all of our plants here and so we of course came out to get our Christmas tree, as we do every year! We had a minor issue with our tree and Vincent helped us out in a very nice way. The people there are awesome and the trees are beautiful!!!

This place is seriously great, they have everything you need in terms of plants and supplies as well as amazing service! Ive been here twice and have left happy every time! Theyre very helpful for those of us unfamiliar with plants. They repotted the plants I bought for a tiny charge and they gave tips on plants for my sunny balcony. Ill definitely come here for all my balcony garden needs!

They have a good variety of seeds that are resonably prices. In the warmer months they have larger outdoor nursery of plants where you can find harder to find plants like night blooming jasmine. The staff is very helpful, parking is gonna be insane due to construction of condos near by by if your in and out fast the side street is good for now.

Best place around to buy Christmas trees. They hang them up from the tops so all the branches open up and you can spin them around to take a look. Brilliant!

I called this place today to ask for help regarding a plant today. The woman told me there were “swamped” and had limited staff to help. I know this is not the case and it just really gets under my skin that she didn’t just say bring it in or send a picture. Very dismissive. Will not be supporting this business.

Great place for garden plants, veggies, flowers, small trees, etc. Wonderful selection with solid help and guidance. Prices are reasonable and service is solid; if youre looking for cheap, try Home Depot. Construction and traffic do make getting in/out a bit of a challenge at times... 😉

The staff are quite knowledgeable and friendly (although you may have to do a little looking). I love the seed packets they carry and overall they have a great selection of healthy plants are various price-points. My only complaint is their planter boxes are all a bit $$ (good quality with nice features but over-the-top for general garden use and thus pricy).

They sell the best long stem roses. They have a good selection of colors, smell nice and last for weeks and the prices are very reasonable as well.

I originally had them re-pot a tree for me in 2012 (that I have owned and has been healthy since 2006)and had a great experience and the tree thrived. 2 years later, the tree needed to be moved to a new and larger pot. I called the garden center and PAID to have them come out again to re-pot into the larger pot. They came out and re-potted it with new soil which ended up being INFESTED with Gnat eggs, they came out TWO other times to re-pot after this, each time having to uproot the tree and put in new soil/GnatNix/chemicals and every time it did more and more damage to the tree and caused Gnat infestation in my very clean house. Finally after researching online as the tree was dieing, I found out that they had been putting in the WRONG soil for my palm tree and it was drowning the plant and because it was infested it caused additional sickness to the plant including spider mites on the leaves. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS GARDEN CENTER, they were not knowledgeable about my tree and almost killed it. WATCH OUT FOR INFESTED SOIL/PLANTS FROM THEM!!!!!
