I have been going to Monique’s for close to 2 years now and it never dawned on me to leave a review. Shadeequa is my stylist of choice and she is FABULOUS! She takes such good care of my locs. She so personable, professional and a master of her craft. She really knows her clients. The salon is very clean, stylish and comfortable. The staff is warm and accommodating. I highly recommend this salon to anyone who is looking for a new home.

Monique is one of the well known hair stylist in Jersey City. Not only is she great at what she do she is highly professional. I also want to shout out Tamika who is very patient, knowledgeable and professional. Not all salons give you a good vibe but hers do. It feels like home. You won’t be disappointed.

Friendly service, good overall costumer service, but overpriced me told someone else the same exact style for less and didn’t evenly do my hair. after six hour session I expected a better outcome, left with distaste next time I’ll just go somewhere else.

My grandmother paid $175 for a cap, and it took all of her hair out. She was not satisfied or confident when we left the shop. At this moment, she is taking her hair out and TONS OF HAIR is just falling out. If you touch it, it is coming out. BAD BUSINESS.
