Had an issue with my toilet. The water would not stop running after the tank was full. The shut off valve was also broken. Carmine Jr. came same day within the hour to repair my issue. He was very nice and ran to the hardware store twice to get parts to make sure everything was working correctly. He made me feel comfortable and I was happy with the job performed. The pricing was average for the work done. Paid $250.00 in cash for a new pump system, valve and seal. I have actually used this company for the last 8 years that I have lived at my current address. They have always been professional and friendly. Something I value as a female since not all people in the plumbing and electrical industry treat female customers the same as they would a male.

Carmine Jr. installed a flood stop (a/k/a leak detector) on my water heater. He also replaced some of my shower fixtures.He did a great job, and explained everything very clearly to me. As an added bonus, he cleaned and shined up another shower fixture that was not being replaced so it looks like new!

First homeowner issue in my new condo and my only toilet was leaking just before the weekend when most places are closed (or charging extra high prices). Spoke with Carmine late Thursday afternoon; he was able to have Ben come out and check it out on Friday morning. Ben did a thorough review of the situation, made me aware of potential complicating factors, proposed and executed a solution all before 11am. And he did a very thorough job cleaning up afterwards. He also had a fairly deep institutional knowledge of the building and unit from prior work there, which was helpful to me having only recently moved in. Im thankful and hopeful that the solution holds tight (literally).

Hello - I recently used Aumenta Plumbing for an urgent kitchen sink leak. They were prompt, professional and all around good people. I would refer them to my network and already have! If you are in Jersey City and the surrounding areas, use them!

Responsive and friendly. but not very good at their trades, especially on heating system. If the jobs only require minimal diagnostics, you can count on them. If the jobs requires good knowledge of the system, you better spend your money on other companies. I paid dearly to find out this and had to switch to another shop just to find the faulty sensor. Aumentas only mechanics showed up three times ( thanks for the good customer service experience) but still could NOT figure out what went wrong!

Every time they are in need of assistance, they are quick to respond and fix the problem no matter how big or small. The price was fair and the work was done well. Carmine came for the consultation. He said that most hot water tanks wouldnt fit, and went out of his way on his own time to find one that did. I dont understand why someone said he charges $150 for a consultation fee. Nothing like that happened. His son did the work, and was friendly and professional.

I had a major leak coming from my tankless hot water heater. I called Carmine and he was here within 3 hours (Same day). He diagnosed the problem within 5 mins and throughly explained all of the working parts of the hot water heater to me so I had a full understanding. 2 parts needed to be replaced and he went and picked them up and was back within an hour. Took about another hour and change but was all good to go within 6 hours of calling. Very very impressive. Saved my bathroom/apt from flooding.Would use again in a heartbeat!!!

I had Aumenta Plumbing & Heating in my home a few weeks ago, and am so glad I did~My first experience was with Ben, who came over to replace two bathroom shutoff valves that I screwed up trying to do myself. Then to come back to install a new shower faucet. I had not gotten the right one, and he advised me on Jersey regulation. He also followed me throughout the house with all the questions I had from the home inspection, and from being a new homeowner. He was professional, honest, and knowledgable. let me know all I could expect and what I could do. A house build circa 1900 needs some attention.Then when he came back to install the first part, his work was precise and clean. In an old house, doing good work is hard to get right because of its age and the prior work done over the years that makes it more difficult to work around.Carmine Jr. came back to finish the trim, and had the same eyes and smile as his brother. Again, seamless and precise work. And he was there to answer more questions along the way.This family has been in the business of plumbing and heating for a few generations, and I cant thank them enough for the knowledge and work done. My shower is my favorite part of the house at the moment, Definitely recommend~

As someone who rarely writes negative reviews, Ill have to warn ANYONE considering hiring Carmine, the sole owner and operator of this chop shop. I called last week to which Carmine promised me he would come by WITHOUT charging for an initial fee. As he seemed so friendly, I thought Id give him a try. This week when were finally ready to schedule the appointment for tomorrow, guess what? All bets are off!Carmine proceeded to ask to charge $150 initial consultation fee JUST FOR SHOWING UP, which is double to triple others fees in this area. Also, the condescending attitude DOES NOT HELP, CARMINE.To top it off, he had the NERVE to say and Ill consider to apply it to the fixing cost, I MAY apply this as a credit. Anyone with ANY experience hiring contractors knows that it is absolutely customary for the initial consultation fee to be applied to the actual project cost. Thats just basic standard operating procedure for ANYONE IN BUSINESS. I guess he figured I would be easy to fool. Read previous reviews and youll see exactly why he chose to pick on me. Doesnt he know that the internet exists? Does he seriously think hes the only person I called?What a switch and bait ploy. To LIE to a potential customer is unacceptable and unprofessional. More importantly, it shows you what character this person has. I told him straight to his face I dont trust you, no way Im hiring you for anything.BEWARE OF Carmine and his shenanigans! I dont usually write review. But This time I need to. I had dealt with this plumbing company twice before, prices were a bit higher than other plumbers, but it went ok. This time I tried to call them on Sunday noon due to an emergency of leaking for my rental property, someone Picked up the phone telling me they cant come on Sunday but will try to help on Monday. I told them I would call them again on Monday. As leaking is bit urgent, I had someone else to take care of the issue on Sunday later afternoon. On Monday morning I call Carmine that the issue was fixed and do not need it. The guy who picked up my call was really rude, and question You dont cancel your appoint? DONT CALL US AGAIN! I was shock to hear that. We just talked about the leaking on Sunday and Carmine couldnt help on Sunday, which is ok. But this kind of poor unprofessional customer service make me so disappointed and they even dont remember what happened to the customers and answered in such rude manner. I so disappointed. It seems they care about their business and money more than customers. Dont trust the review on angieslist

Our old system could be characterized as an antique but we just couldnt afford a new system. Carmine and, his son, Ben understood our situation and managed to keep the terminally ill boiler alive for nine years. Finally, the water pump effectively exploded. Initially, we considered just replacing the pump but in the end we replaced the entire system. Obviously, this was a big expense for us but Carmine really worked to keep the cost as low as possible. This was a challenging job due to the age of our building and we couldnt be happier with the work they did. I would recommend this family business to anyone

After multiple plumbers came and tried to fix my Navien tankless machine with no success, I stumble upon Aumenta Plumbing and I am happy to say that my heating issues are fixed thanks to Carmine.I called their office in the morning and within an hour I got a call saying that they could be there in 15 mins. Carmine was very informative and not only did he fix the issue I was having without doing unnecessary changes or trying to upsell me, but he also gave me really good tips in order to take care of the machine so I could avoid problems in the future. Aumenta Plumbing will be my place to go from now on!

Firstly, I think it s important that people understand something from the get go. When you go to the Doctor or a lawyer...you pay for that service. I think its unfair that Aumenta PLmbg is getting bad reviews because of why? they actually charge? is that the problem?...The person who thought he was being treated unfairly because his sewer was backed up and Aumenta charged 190.00. Secondly, when you call any service professional you should expect to pay accordingly. And thirdly, Shame on Mr 190.00 for actually moaning and complaining....that 30.00 snake compared to professional equipment is the difference between a Mercedes-Benz and a Match box car.....your right ...there is no comparison..!

Poor customer service. Was on the phone with the guy all of 15 seconds asking some basic questions. He interrupts me to place me on hold and never came back.

Got the job done but more expensive than the competition. Carmine told me there was no initial consultation cost but his technician demanded it (2x what others charge). Carmine was friendly but his technician can use some customer service training. Will not call them again.

Very unprofessional. First they called and when I returned their call within a few minutes, he said sorry the boys waited and headed elsewhere. Then I was given a three hour appointment window of 9am tto 12pm. I waited upto 1pm for them to arrive. When I called at 1pm they said they were no longer interested in coming! Absolutely unprofessional.

Absolutely awful & unprofessional. I waited 2 hours for Carmine to show up. When I called to see where he was he said he was on his way and then hung up on me. I called back a second time and he told he was on the other line and that he no longer was interested in doing the job and hung up on me again. My super and I were dumfounded. Carmine called bak 5 minutes later and said he didnt want to start a business relationship with me & accused me of interrupting an important phone call and speaking to him like a child. My super and I were again dumfounded. I explained to him that the business relationship started when he agreed to arrive at a specific time and didnt show up. Definitely stay away from this guy...thank goodness he never got into my apartment!

Wow, My morning started at 3am. I hear a loud whisting sound in my bathroom and to my surprise the pipe is gushing with water. It would not stop! At this point im calling everyone and no one is able to send anyone. I call Aumenta and they literally were at my door within 5 minutes. They are professional, quick and resonable. I hope to never be in this situation again but if ever I happen to be I will only go through Aumenta.

I had a very frustrating experience with Carmine. I agree with NafNar B. This man had problem dealign with people. They are rude and over price. They came to my house with a very bad attitude and when I told the guy the price was to hight he got very mad and started fighting. I felt threatened in my own house.
