The guys here were extremely helpful and very quick service. I was able to get my MacBook Pro operating system replaced and my trackpad fix. I had the French Lavender flavored ice cream here and it was actually pretty good! It comes in a cup or sugar cone and they give you a pretty decent sized scoop for a single, albeit it cost $5.50. The French Lavender was creamy and smooth, and you could really smell the strongly scented lavender. If you enjoy the smell of lavender, youll probably enjoy this. The sugar cone on the bottom was also pretty good and well made.

It costed me little under $75 to fix a broken iPhone 6S screen. So, price is bit cheaper than the most places. The new screen is not responsive as the original one. I played with 3D settings.Here is reasons why I gave one star. I was cursed by the person behind the counter. This is the most unacceptable behavior from a business.I walked in there since it is a local small business with 4.5 average star rating, and the price was cheaper than ones in Manhattan.My home button became loose after changing the screen. I went back to ask if he can fix it. I told him that the screen was fine but the home button was loose.Make it short, he did not think it was loose and there is nothing he can do, other than tightening the button screws. I was trying to make him understand that the button was not loose when I walk in for the screen repair, but it is loose now. I had the phone for more than 2 years, and I press the home button every day ^^ The tone of our conversations were not pleasant after initial exchange, since he raised his voice. My objective was to fix the phone, and pissing off the tech is absolutely no benefit to me. However, he was like talking to a parrot, and I gave up. This is not an Apple store, and I accepted that I got a functional phone.As I was about to turn and walk out, the dude used profanity. So, we exchanged words and he threaten to call 911. I told him to do so. I did not do anything but voicing my displeasure of loose home button. He used the F words first, and elevating the conversations to the next level. Obviously he had an anger issue, and I walked off.Based on a google research, I found out loose button after screen change is a common occurrence, and usually associated with using a cheaper and an inferior parts.At the time of this review, 8 out of 14 google reviews here have only 1 review each. Makes me questioned the validity of all the 5 stars here after my experience.So, trying to save a few dollars and trying to support a local business backfired on me.After thought, I fixed the phone screen to use it for another year or so, and was it really worth trying to save $10?

Red flag 1. First I went to the location on Newark avenue and that location was shutdown despite having it open on their website and google. Then I went to their main location. Red flag 2. As I am waiting for my phone battery to be replaced, the owner is on the phone with his supplier, complaining about the quality of the parts. Then he turns to me and smugly says, “owning a business is hard. People don’t understand.” Red flag 3. When I got the phone back I checked the battery health + maximum capacity and it was only 87%. Before it was 80%. I told the owner and he said let it charge. I paid them for a used or low quality battery. This is exactly what happened on Wednesday January 16.

These guys are super nice. Took in my iPhone because the ringer silence switch was permanently on. Guy looked at my phone did a few tweaks which took like two minutes and then didnt even charge me. Issue was fixed and has remained fixed. Give these good dudes your business.

I have had various situations over the last few years and YU Fix has become my go to repair company. I go to a satellite office upstairs at 172 Newark ave., Jersey city, Where the gentleman, Miguel, is always very helpful and got my phone and tablet back to me in a timely manner, he stayed in communication with me throughout. . . I recommend this company highly for there convenience, experience and expediency. . .

My charging port was damaged so I needed to get it fixed. It came back so that the charger could fit, but the lightning bolt didnt appear when plugged in, and he didnt seem to think that was an issue.I charged it overnight, and it only got up to 65%. I came back the next day, and was told I needed a new battery. I wasnt told of this the first time.So now I have a new charging port that I paid $64 for that doesnt work properly, and they wanted to charge me an additional $40 for a new battery. I said Id think about it if a deep discount was offered, but he offered $35. I said no thanks and left.RE: Thanks for your response. Ill think about it and if I decide to do it, Ill contact you tomorrow. If everything is fixed at no additional charge, Ill take this negative review off.They gave me a new battery for free, so that definitely made up for the initial snafu.

I had a great experience when I recently had my screen repaired. Ramel repaired my phone, complete with a screen protector and a temp case until I could order a new one. I needed the screen adjusted a bit and they were quick to help even resetting my settings so that I could use my phone in my car. I can’t say enough about the service I received for the price I paid. Ive been coming here ever since Ive been living in Jersey City. Im a tech lover I but a few phones a year. I dont even bother getting warranty on my devices just because I look at YUFixit as my warranty. I trust these guys blindly and cold hearted me with any one of my devices.

If you want to fix your phone due to water damage, then this isn’t the place because I went here from water damage and it took them about three weeks to figure out they couldn’t fix it. I called every single day asking if my phone has been fixed. But every time I called they gave me the same excuse saying “we’re testing it.” Or “we’re waiting for parts to come in so you’ll have to wait 3-4 days.” And they said they would call to let me know when it’s ready. They never call, I always had to call just to make sure. Waisted about $60 just for them to look at it and an additional $30 just for them to do nothing to besides replace the screen. I told them to give me back my money because they didn’t even bother fixing the whole thing. They said no only because the changed the home screen.

The do no work on Newark St. I would have been much better off working directly with apple to fix my ipad (I would probably not have paid 200$ to get it fixed when a new one was 340$. Dont expect them to point that out) In the end they did not fix it because it was not a simple broken screen.
