Nice building & ideal location, but overall it is just a little shoddy & shopworn.Carpeting in hallways is terrible and long past needing replacement, hallways are dark and there is not enough directional signage. Apartments are very spotty & you do not know until you see each one whether its going to be great or tired and rundown. Some, maybe most of the layouts are challenging. Altogether, they think quite a lot of themselves for what you get.Pool and parking are nice.

Im an actual resident of 2+ years at Brunswick Towers. Be careful of all of the Local Guide and realtor reviews.Building management is one of the worse I have ever experienced. The current building manager, Anthony, is unresponsive, inflexible and condescending. This place has the highest front desk staff turnover I have ever seen - more than half of the staff have left since I have moved in.The car elevator - a converted freight elevator used for the parking garage - is frequently down, so be prepared for your car to be stuck in the basement or roof for days, sometimes weeks. The laundry room machines are in poor condition, and the room has flooded several times, rendering it unusable for weeks. The fitness center is a small 15X15 room in which the machines are old and in poor condition.Security is also poor. Motorcycles have been stolen from the front of the property and cars have been broken into on more than one occasion - staff was not at all helpful.Stay away from this place.

Having been an owner since 2017, the community is wonderful. The building is in a great location in Journal Square which is an up and coming neighborhood. The building maintenance workers are always on top of everything. Some amenities including the pool and gym had to be closed temporarily due to COVID state guidelines and budgeting, but they will hopefully reopen by the summer. In terms of the front desk concierge workers, there has been some turnover recently but they are overall very helpful. In terms of building management (First Service Residential), they have been on top of the COVID situation, making sure they are taking all the precautionary and safety steps needed. From personal experience, the management team has been very helpful at times with issues such as move ins, storage units, elections, gaining information on building and community updates and procedures. The car elevator that services the upper and basement parking lots is an issue that will likely be ongoing until the board decides to implement a permanent fix. It is over 30 years old and experiences shutdowns occasionally. Also, HVAC repairs and replacements can be costly due to the units being located above the drop ceiling and the building’s board and bylaws do not allow outdoor condensers. Petitions are being submitted to allow for outdoor condensers (stay tuned).Lastly, new board members have been elected in the past year who are vying for change, so hopefully things will continue to improve. In years past, there seems to have been some issues with transparency and communication from the board to the community, but things seem to be turning around. The financials of the building need to be more transparent as industry HOA management tends not be regulated enough in my opinion. Also, the election process seems to be improving as well as there may have been issues with its integrity in years past. All of this is worth monitoring and has improved.
