I’ve been coming to V’s for several years now and I’ve never had a time where I left displeased. Well once, but that was sorted right away before I walked out the door.Youssef is my go to and it’s always a pleasant experience. We catch up, we share a few laughs and I leave better than how I arrived. He knows what I get and I walk in and he asks, “your usual” and he gets to business.There’s a few new faces there and it does seem a little quieter, but you can hear each barber talking to their client and to me, it makes the shop feel homie. I travel 2 hours from PA back to Jersey City to get a cut and to see family, but I’m totally fine if it’s just for a haircut. I highly recommend them.

Boyfriend went in for a cut and overall it wasn’t bad, but the barber missed a few spots and parts of the fade were uneven. We had heard good reviews but they didn’t even try to clean off the loose hair. Had to clean off after we left.

Finally got a haircut from Eduardo, I must say reviews dont lie, one the best haircut I had since i Moved to US 6 years ago.No matter how i explain, always had bad haircut from all NY/NJ places, but this time Eduardo did amazing job, he understood what I exactly I wanted.Finally happy with my haircut. Not going anywhere except Eduardo from Vs Barbershop.Definitely recommend for amazing haircut.

I dont usually post reviews unless the service is completely horrible or extraordinary. I am new to the neighborhood and I went to this place on the basis of reviews. The barber I was completely unprofessional, first he started talking on his phone for 5 minutes and he was scheduling his next appointment with a customer. He showed 0 to no interest in the haircut. I told him I needed a comb over and I dont know how you can cut that uneven. He was rushing through the cut and I was out in 10 minutes. I am not even kidding. I was literally out in 10 minutes. You can see from the picture how uneven my hair are for comb over. I am not that good with confrontation other wise I would have not paid him even a single dollar for this. During quarantine my wife did a better job than this.

Went in for a regular haircut and was very impressed. Eduardo was very professional and gave me a fantastic haircut in no time. I had an appointment booked and was in and out within 15 minutes.

Salib is a craftsman - he quietly works his skills and in short order you realize he has finished and things are looking rather fine. Never had a bad cut.

Got a hair cut and a beard trim here. Eduardo finished both up in the time it would normally take to get one done and crushed it. Took all the necessary Covid precautions as well. 5/5, would recommend very highly and look forward to stopping in again soon.

Got a haircut that was booked for a 30 minute slot. Juan finished up the cut in only 10 minutes. Place was not busy, but it felt like the service was rushed. For a $30 haircut I was expecting it to take longer with more meticulous cuts. Looks good, just felt rushed.

Salib is the best in the business! His cuts are always perfect - Ive been a customer of his for about 3 years now. The prices at Vs are competitive - when compared to high end shops. My friends visit this shop and the one in Hoboken and have never heard any complaints.

Had a great experience going in for a hair cut with Salib. The place was kept clean and temperature checks done. This was my first time at this place but definitely see myself coming back in the future.

The hair cut was okay but the beard trim wasn’t good. Not sure about pricing in the area but didn’t seem worth for paying $55 + $8 tip. I had 2 cuts and beard was cut unevenly. The people seemed good but maybe not very experienced. Pretty sure I won’t go there again and try some other place.

I usually don’t post reviews, but I had to for this. I will not be going back here again. In no world should it take a barber 15 minutes to do a haircut. Especially one that costs $30. People at sports clips would’ve spent more time on a the haircut for a fraction of the price. Very disappointed with how rushed the haircut was and it did no come out at all to what I asked for. They lost my business today!

I had the pleasure of getting a cut from Viggs. He was friendly and knew what he was doing. I asked for a combover with a skin fade on the sides and it turned out exactly how I wanted it too. He also notices the little details like those pesky little hairs that are sticking out and he sorted that out too. This was one of the cleanest cuts I’ve gotten at this place. That’s saying a lot because I’ve gotten a cut from everybody there and they are all great at cutting hair.If you’re looking for someone that has great attention to detail, I wouldn’t hesitate to get a cut from Viggs.

I havent seen a barber since February 2020 because of the pandemic. My hair and beard were a wreck, as I tried to keep them under control at home. But, Im definitely not skilled in those capacities. Juan, gave me a great cut and an awesome beard trim.

My barber rushed and only took 15 minutes. He left long hairs on the side burns, did a terrible fade, and left the back bumpy. Reminded me of something you would get at a cost cutters.Edit: I got a response from the owner to call so they could work out how to make it up to me but when I called they just asked my name, who the barber was, and then they said thank you and hung up. Not sure whats going on with this barbershop but I highly suggest anyone reading this to be skeptical of any 5 star reviews.

I got my first haircut since the COVID-19 pandemic began, and Im extremely disappointed now, I was not expecting such a poor quality. There are places in Jersey City where you can get better haircut for half of that price. I do NOT recommend.

Good covid19 protocols, made me feel that they took it seriously. I think the pricing is in line with most barbershops in NYC, only minor issue i had was i indicated it was my first time on the reservation system but when i got there they didnt know if it was my first time or not. Its better to give that extra client acknowledgement of being a first timer to put the client at ease and to let them know they will be taken care of...

Been going there for 3 years and always get a good hair cut and costumer service is great. Finish with a hot towel is great. Love getting a shave, starts with a hot towel and ends with ice cold towel to close your spores, Amazing! My barber is Mr Vigg But all are very talented!

Great place, I went there for my first haircut in 6 months along with my 2 younger kiddos and they got us in and out in 45 minutes total. It looked clean, there were precautions in place and they were taking the whole covid thing seriously.Tldr: quick, clean, hair turned out nice, good with younger kids as well as adults

The guy Juan literally spent 9 minutes on me. Very sloppy haircut. Definitely not worth $30 tag plus tip. I wish I went elsewhere. Not coming back here even though this is the closest barbershop to my home.They don’t seem to care, nor take pride in what they do.

Salib did a stellar job and they kept the place very clean and organized. Price is a bit on the high side even compared to the places in NYC, but overall it’s a good spot for a haircut.

Sorry to write this, the level of service has gone down over years. I stopped visiting this place since 2019. There were price changes which did not justify the level of service provided. Haircuts literally took 3-4 mins. Barber never cared for what was asked. there was no consistency.

Mr Salib always gives me a great cut and pleasant conversation. My wife wont let me get my haircut by anyone else.

The barber was in such a hurry to just get done with the haircut, that he rushed through everything and just finished the job. I really did not get the haircut I asked for. The barber cut my hair unevenly and I ended up paying for something I do not like. Not sure if Ill ever go back.

Great cuts, quick service, reasonable prices. Clean. A bit of an odd location, but thats not important. You feel safe going in, you feel comfortable during the cut, and you feel great walking out! No idea whether they do Goth dyes, initial or word skull shaves, but if they do, (a) I would be surprised, and (b) I would also bet they do it well.

Got my haircut yesterday by Salib. No exaggeration, I was in the chair for 7-8 minutes MAX. Walked out with an incredible fade and he cut my hair exactly as I wanted. looking forward to going back.

Overrated chain that pretends to be an old-school barbershop. Made an appointment for a haircut and right off the bat my barber was very unfriendly. He didnt ask my name or make any conversation. Just asked me what I wanted and was silent. You could immediately tell he didnt care about the quality of my haircut. He didnt take his time fading out the sides. I had to ask him multiple times to make adjustments because he didnt do what I had originally asked. He tried to finish in 10min.But what pissed me off the most was the Deluxe Beard Trim. He took his ELECTRIC RAZOR, lined up my beard for 2 whole minutes, and was done. No hot towel. No straight razor. No shaving cream. Nothing. At first I thought he was doing me solid- my beard is still short so I thought maybe he was doing a quick touch up to avoid having to charge me full price. But no, he charged me $20 to do what I do every single morning on my own.All in all, $50 for a mediocre haircut and a beard line-up with an electric razor. Absolute waste of money and an extremely underwhelming experience.

Vs had mixed reviews on here but the location is great and the price is reasonable ($28).Service -1 starEverything felt rushed and I was out in 15 minutes. It was not a busy time and no one was waiting. The barber simply did the bare minimum. The straight razor and hot towel were nice but standard for the price theyre charging.The cut -1 starMy haircut is a side-part and honestly extremely simple. I dont wear my glasses to a haircut but when I got a closer look at home, the fade was uneven, edges were not clean, and there were loose strands of long hair everywhere.Experience -1 starThe barber was unmotivated and apathetic. I tried engaging in a conversation about me being new to the area and needing to find a barber. If the guy had any sense about customer loyalty, he wouldve at least tried to do a better job. The marginal cut was a product of his attitude.This will be my one and only experience at Vs. I will be trying one of the more expensive but higher-rated barbershops in town next.
