I recently was in for new tires. During that first visit the technicians noticed that several repairs were needed. The team proceeded to take great care of our car, even with some unforseen hiccups along the way. Everything was ultimately done at a reasonable price and with quality parts. I would definitely recommend this location and get work done there in the future. I particularly recommend dealing with Edwin. Hes knowledgeable, personable, and willing to walk you through each step of the process.

My husband went there for a flat, Jermal (hope Im spelling it right) took him with in seconds of him showing up. Right in the parking lot he plugged him up and put air in his tires all for no cost! Excellent customer service 🙏

The wait was outrages my appointment was for 4 pm got there at 3 didn’t go home with my car due to my vehicle not starting. Don’t know what happened it went in fine. Go the next day waited for tires to be put in got there at 2:30 left at 7:30. I ordered 4 tires only got 3. Today is Wednesday Aug 18, 2021 still no tire. I called nobody knows anything. The management in is this place needs improvement nobody knows what’s going on. The wait is too long this place needs to be organized.

I scheduled a coolant flush. While the vehicle was on the lift the mechanic called meet over and pointed out the splash guard connections had deteriorated. He managed to get it attached. He didnt have to take the time to point that out. I appreciated the extra effort so I could reinforce the connections myself. The price was as quoted and he didnt charge me to evaluate the tires and spare. The only mild disappointment was the amount of time. I had scheduled the work in advance and brought the car in at 10 am but it wasnt finished until 9 pm that night. But overall the mechanics are professional and easy to talk with and do good work. Ill go back.

This place is not even worth the one star. Horrible service. Mechanics do not know what they’re doing. They tried to fix my starter and ended up damaging another part of my car that was not in stock. As they attempted to fix what they damaged, they ended up damaging more and threw away parts of my car. I haven’t had my car for several weeks! Horrible horrible service. Save your money and time. Their mechanics know nothing about cars.

I have been coming here back and forth no less than 5 times for the past few months, yep, that’s a lot. Every time, I was greeted happily and was provided with useful advices. Edwin and Ryan helped me a lot while the dealership and (Best)Boys couldn’t figure out the problem. I will be coming here more for services, keep on the good work, guys.

Best customer service I’ve had at an automotive shop yet. I have a membership at Sams club so I usually rotate my tires there, since it’s free. However I was unable to get through to the tire department on the phone l. I was stressing because I needed my tires rotated badly and fast, my car is my bread and butter. I went to three other car shops to see if they could fit me in today. Everyone was no luck and attitude. I called this Mavis and spoke to Jose who started my paperwork on the phone. Pulled up and my car was in and out within 30 minutes, maybe less. To top it off Peter the store manager, didn’t even charge me for the rotation. Thank you to Peter and Jesse for taking care of me! Best Mavis and Car shop around check them out for sure.

After receiving a “no, we can help you with your flat tire because you don’t have a appointment” as my last resource I came to this location. The moment I came in they greet me and welcomed me. They immediately said of course we can help you. In less than 15 min my vehicle was ready to go. The service was good, efficient and fast. Definitely recommend this location. Great service.

Been here twice and both times I have been provided excellent service. I specifically came here the second time because of the experience. Chris is an excellent employee that provided great information and service for me. This is my go to tire store.

The manager Chris has exceptional customer service! As soon as i got there, he made eye contact with me and asked me If there was anything he can help me with and Of course with my luck, My tire light was on. Chris quickly gets his jack and jacks it up and turns out i had a screw in my tire. The other manager, Edwin, walked me through prices for a new tire, since he said patching it up is a temporary thing.. I wanted a new tire. Of course, he got me the same tire brand I had before and i was sooo happy!!! He aslo asked me If i needed wiper blades and he actually reminded me that I did and he also hooked me up with that!! Thank U guys so much Chris & Edwin! The gentlemen are a dynamic duo !!!!!

Super quick and efficient. I booked my appointment last minute and they were able to accommodate me with no issue. As soon as I arrived, one of their guys immediately helped me and patched one of my tires and put it back on my car in like 15-20 minutes. It was super quick and they also have a really friendly staff.

I have been bringing all my cars here for the past 5 years and they are very helpful. I came in thinking i needed a new tire, but instead Chris and sheema figured out that i had a small hole and fixed it quick, saving me a few bucks. I really appreciate the honesty.

Recently I came into Mavis to fix a stem on my tire and Jamall assisted me very promptly. He fixed the stem on my tire, showed me where I had a bad sensor on my tire and then proceeded to switch out the donut for the fixed tire. I have to say thank you so much for Jamal much-needed prompt help. And this was on a Sunday evening!! Thank you again Jamall!

Buyer bewareJemal is nice with all the females until it is time to pay he makes you feel like your getting a discount on any buy for your car in all reality your still spending either the same price or your paying more. This place is the horrible. My friend had work done on her car & they left all kinds of stuff in her car. She went back the this place to have them fix it & they changed her again. Her brother had work done on his car as well who ever did his wheel alignment did not put all the lug nuts back on he had to bring it back because his front right wheel almost came off while he was driving. They have a bad problem with things like this & at this point in time my friend & her brother are going to sue this Mavis for the negligent acts. I wish we looked at reviews before they went to this store. If you have to go to a Mavis go to the Mavis in Bayonne NJ Dont go to the one in Jersey City they will take your money & they wont fix the problem they caused

Absolutely worst tire business in jersey city. Left my car for 5 hours expecting a wheel alignment and saw they never moved it from the spot I left it in. Lied and said it was complete and car was completely misaligned. Dishonest kids working there.

Glad I stopped by Mavis 440 jc . I had my car at Pepboys to get a flat fixed . I was going to wait 4 to 5 hours to have it fixed . I walked to over to Mavis they said 2 hour for the repair . Walked back got the car and Mavis had me on the road in 1 hour. Great Job Thank You

This is the best shop in the region. I have been here about 7-8 times with my older car. About 2-3 weeks ago i came in with a flat last minute at closing time. They were able to squeeze me in with a packed schedule and were extremely nice about it. Other times i asked if i could get the car back before my work started and they went above and beyond to do so. They always look out for the customer and do the best work.

Chris is the best, I needed help with a tire and he went above and beyond to help me out ! Also very respectful and provides the best customer service. Please go see Chris you will not regret it .

I went to Mavis & needed 4 new tires. The managers Edwin & Chris made this possible in less than an hour!! Even though they didn’t have the exact tires i wanted in stock, Chris went out of his way to check inventory in another Mavis nearby & went and got my tires himself.. I couldn’t have been anymore grateful and these guys are literal lifesavers. THANK YOU EDWIN AND CHRISS!!!!!!!!

Having a flat tire can be really stressful, it completely disrupts your entire day. When I walked in to Mavis, Edwin gave me the impression that I was disrupting his entire day by asking him to fix my tire, at a tire shop. He was rude, short and did not even look me in the eye. Not sure if he woke up on the wrong side of the bed but I’d rather drive out of this shop with a flat tire than hand Edwin any of my money with his attitude.West Side Tire & Automotive (236 W Side Ave) is less than a 5 min drive away. They were the sweetest and had me back on the road in under 30 mins. They even balanced out the pressure on my other three good tires. That’s customer service.

I was able to come in the store without an appointment and still be accommodated. Bernard was super polite, helpful, and efficient. I was able to get in and out of the store pretty quickly. Came in with my car working just fine, they didnt do the oil change right now Im the one who has to pay the cost to get it towed to the dealership. NEVER AGAIN! Went there for a flat tire fix and the workers were very nice. I dropped off my tire and went back when they called me. It took about 20 mins to put it back on, quick and easy. Originally came here because it was the lowest price I could get my tire for in the Newark/Jersey City area. However, the customer service representative I spoke to when I called the number on google, ordered the wrong tire to this location. Thankfully, Ryan, the front desk employee, handled the situation very well and professionally. He was able to find 2 tires, that are actually better than the stock tires that comes with my car (the original front left tire that had a flat, and the front right tire that had a lump) all at the same price I was originally quoted for just doubled! since it was 2 tires) And he got my car in next on line since I was waiting in the area since 11:30 am! Definitely coming back here for any tire-related issues and special thanks to Brandon the mechanic for doing a great job on fixing the tires!

Zero stars. Avoid this place. I Made an appointment for new tires and installation one week ago. I show up this morning for my appointment and rep at desk says they are short staffed and unable to install my tires. You would think they would have called me out of courtesy before I made the trip. Rep was dismissive and of no help and really could not be bothered with me. Now Im scrambling around looking for tires before my road trip in 2 days.

No one notified me in advance it would not happen.Pointless reservation - pointless waste if my time. If time is a value for you - keep away from mavis in Jersey City.

Chima was a big help, helped make the time pass also during my wait.

I had a slow leak in one of my tires and while I waited for my turn, Jamal at the front desk was helping a customer ahead of me. I was impressed by how he took care of that customer. He took his time to give that customer prices on different types of tires. Even though I didnt have a major issue or an appt he was really nice and checked out the issue with my tire.

Surprised that not everyone at this place is fired yet... They are actually running a scam. I had a flat tire and called Mavis. They said they will order it and the tire will be shipped in 3 hours. I dropped my car there, and 6 hours later the tire still hasnt arrived. I called and they said they have no information on where the tire is. Next day, still no tire. Two days later, still no tire. I had to cancel all my other appointments that depended on my car. I highly doubt that they even ordered the tire. Extremely bad attitude from all staff. Each call to follow up required a 10 minute hold and high chance of suddenly hanging up on you. Refused to provide any timeline on when the tire would arrive. They essentially expect you to be able to wait forever for a tire that they supposedly ordered.

An hour and a half later, I returned. They just started working on my car. I missed an important meeting. Im extremely upset. Why should it take almost 2 hours to do a 15 minute job?

I called asking for the price of an oil change. They quoted a price. When they rang me up there was a line for the quoted oil price change, oil filter charge, oil labor charge, and misc. shop supplies charge. One would think those are all part of the oil change. Shady way to do business. The manager did refund the difference the next day when I complained but he would not say it was a mistake. So this will keep happening. No thanks.

Unprofessional! Took my car in and three hours later it is still not done. They are neglectful and rude! Beware!!!!!

Poor customer service. Went there to get brake pads and rotors replaced. After they removed and replaced my old set then they tried to get me to purchase new brake calipers. I refused, so they then told me that the warranty on the parts is voided if i dont get the new calipers. Felt that i was scammed. They should have explained that to me before doing the job. Since then my brake calipers have still been working fine.

Came out to a nail in my tire and it on 13psi! Called mavis to see if they can fix my tire. They told me to come on In and I’ll be like the second or third person to go! I went and they got me in as fast as they can! Come to find out I had nails in two tires and they fixed them both!! Shout out to Jamie and Eddie for helping me today!! 😊

I carry my tire in to have it replaced they replace my tire they charged me a totally different price from what I was quoted they added extra fees and did not inform me of the fees and had an attitude when I addressed them about the fees. Telling me that we charge everyone these fees and I asked why are you charging me for something I did not ask for and I did not need. bottom line had to call corporate to get my money back for the extra fees that they charged and the manager was so nasty was not wearing his mask while he was at the counter and try to tell me that they did services that were not performed could not show me the parts that they said they put on for the extra fees very disappointed will never go there again.
