I brought in some old cabinet hinges with broken auto close springs. I was having trouble locating an exact replacement (probably not made anymore). Evan instantly identified the manufacturer, and searched their website. Unfortunately we couldnt find them, but he helped me find inexpensive hinges with the parts I needed to fix my old ones. Now my old cabinet doors auto close again. He saved me a ton of time and money.

Im from out of town working in Jasper and Hardware stores are a regular stop for me because of my job and so I spend a lo-CORRECTION- the Company spends a lot of money in hardware stores as I usually spend 4 months in a certain town and need a lot of supplies. For some reason I felt very unwelcome at this place. I dont know why. I got some rope and was estimating the length that I spoiled out and in a very accusing tone was told by the female worker that I was wrong . oh you got a lot more than that as if Im trying to cheat them out of 34 cent bungee chord . Thats my scam, I patronize Ma N Pop hardware stores to rip them off for ten feet of bungee chord:/....No smiles, no manners and will find a different hardware store to spend thousands of dollars in. Sometimes all it takes is friendly customer service to make me a regular. Maybe it was because Im not a local. I hope thats what it was and not because Im brown. Which is ridiculous but that was the attitude I was met with. Like I was gonna shoplift or something. Either way Im not going back there. There is another hardware store down the road and I think they would be happy to take my money.

Suggestions for management:1) train your employees to say hello and smile when a customer walks in2) train them to ask the customer if he needs help rather than just staring at him until he initiates the conversation3) train the employees to not eat while waiting on a customer4) train the employees to use complete sentences in order to be understood5) train the employees to at least act like they care, even though they dont.
