Absolutely terrible customer service. Scheduled a pick up for noon, recieve a call 12 minutes prior to pick up stating they wont have a vehicle for me until 5 p.m..... You all open @ 8 a.m? Why is it so difficult to call someone sooner so #1 there not wasting there time but #2 so they dont drive 20 minutes to your location, and then recieve the call that you wont be getting the car you reserved as your sitting outside enterprise. Our car was totaled. Our other vehicle died and I have appointments tomorrow in Buffalo. Enterprise said they would have a vehicle and call at 5 PM. 4:55 PM came and no call. I called and they said they had no vehicles. Two of them were in for an oil change! Nothing would be ready until the morning. I told him I had to leave by 7:15 AM; he said they didnt open until 8:00 AM. Not helpful at all! Worst customer service/experience.
DO NOT RENT FROM THIS LOCATION! They are ripping people off! I witnessed them give a little elderly lady a car with a dent in the back yet charged her for a premium priced rental for a standard car. Im disgusted with this place. They tried to price me the same as well for an incredibly less attractive car than what I reserved a week prior. Worst place ever!!
I booked a car the night before online. Went to pick up first thing they opened. I was the first there. I was told they didnt have a car for me even though someone dropped off while we were waiting for her to finish at her desk. Im extremely disappointed because I ended up having to pay a cab for my 50 mile trip. Very upset.

My wife and I are so thankful that Enterprise has a location in our area. Their new facility in Lakewood NY, is really nice. We were given an upgrade, and it was really nice to drive such a clean, and good looking vehicle. The staff there are all very friendly. The only thing Iβd like to see Enterprise do, is to go back to having the vehicles returned with a full tank of gas. I really do hate having to stop to fill the gas tank soon after renting a vehicle with a quarter tank of gas.

I accidently wrote my review here for safelite originally so editing it. But the staff at enterprise were all very friendly. The daily price for a rental went up alot so that was a shock, but that happens this day and age. I didnt make it back 2 days in a row to return the rental and they were very understanding and didnt charge me an arm and a leg for it so that was great! Overall I have always had a good experience with rentals.
Picked up the car in Lakewood, NY, and dropped off in Glenside.It was dirty on the outside, but I was in a hurry and drove off. The inside of the car looked like it was wiped with a wet rag, and was clearly not clean. In this uncertain climate that is not good. I got to our rental and promptly cleaned myself and the inside of the car.For as much is charged for the car, and how bad the economy is, the 10 minutes needed to actually disinfect/clean the vehicle should not be a big deal.With all of the options for car rentals, I will move on to someone else.KB

Great place to rent a vehicles
I was frustrated and disappointed. I booked a pick up truck days in advance and was sent a confirmation telling me to be there on Saturday at noon. Nobody tole me that close at noon. I called at 11:30 to let them know I was running 15 minutes late and was hung up on twice by associate. When I got there they were closed. It was a Saturday and had people lined up to help move a home that I needed a full day for. Went on Sunday and got the truck for half a day as that was all the time people had to help. The driver side mirror was broken and flopping all over. Almost sideswiped a person because I could not see. The tailgate would not come down so I had to lift everything up and over. The associate said he would let the manager know and see if I would be given a discount. I never heard a thing and was billed full fee. never again will I rent a vehicle from them.

Made a car rental reservation online, it was successful, got a confirmation number and everything. The day before my trip (I planned a hotel stay and flight based on this rental), Warren Enterprise called me and said they didnβt have any vehicles.I desperately called Jamestown Enterprise, thinking it was better to call instead of go online. The guy booked me a car and said to come pick it up at 3:30. On my way TO Jamestown, a different representative called me and said they actually didnβt have any vehicles available.Not blaming this on the employees I talked to, but FIX your booking system, Enterprise. Wish I could give negative stars.

My parents and I have gotten cars here for years. Today I got one that I had reserved a month ago. At first, they gave us one that smelled bad (like so bad I couldnt drive it for a week), so I took it right back to ask for a trade. The guy didnt give me a hard time, he just helped me get a car we could breathe in for a week. I tend to be sensitive to smells. Thank you for being cool about that!
Service was good, people were nice and courteous. We called Enterprise, the call center said this Jamestown location absolutely has a 7 person Van and they can tell because their computer wouldnt have any Vans if this location didnt. This location called and says they have no Vans but they can upgrade us to a Large SUV, being excited for a large SUV...we drive 1 hour to this location. They dont have any large SUVs. Beyond annoyed at this companies inability to properly monitor their inventory and what their stores have.

I realize the magnanimity of this claim, but this may be the worst Enterprise in the United States. I came into this location a few weeks ago with my wife after reserving a vehicle for our vacation, and we arrived around 10 on a Saturday (our reservation was Saturday-Saturday). We walked in, were not greeted for 5-10 minutes as one of the employees was busy with a customer (understandable) and the other was on his phone (not understandable).Once the latter employee got off his phone, he came over, asked us what we wanted, and we began our transaction. I told him we had a reservation, and he said well, I dont know about that because were having some technical difficulties, but I might be able to help you, or something to that effect- this was the first glaring red flag.The next glaring red flag was that the vehicle we reserved was not available. This makes me think that Enterprises actual policy is first-come, first-serve, rather than reservations meaning anything. So the employee explained that the vehicle I had reserved was being worked on, and therefore not available to rent; no concessions were offered. No discount, no apologies, nothing. At this point, I had to make the decision to either A. not rent at all, or B. pay a *higher rate for a worse class of vehicle.*I was actually going to go along with it until the employee said to me you better get the extra insurance if your wife is driving.* Excuse me? Is this the 1950s where misogynistic comments from uneducated people towards other peoples wives is socially acceptable? Oh, he also failed to mention that regardless of me being the primary driver on the rental and having joint insurance with my spouse, there would be extra fees to add an extra driver. I dont recall the gentlemans name, but I guarantee you I will never return to this location for any service, for any reason, for the remainder of my existence on this earth. If I get into an accident in this area and my insurer wants to use this location for Enterprise, I will walk to any of their other locations in the middle of a blizzard or the glaring heat of the sun on a summer day to avoid dealing with these misogynistic, spoiled, entitled, juvenile assholes that work here.Thanks for reading all of this if you stayed with me!

I have rented cars from Enterprise on several occasions. Each time I was pleasantly greeted, given prompt attention, and treated well. All the cars that I have used were clean and in good running order. I have worked with several staff members at the Jamestown office and they have all been great and helpful. I would highly recommend them to others for their car rental needs.
Horrible service i have a car that i got through Alamo Rent a Car which is like Enterprise sister Company and I ended getting a flat on my car. Well policy says that they are suppose to put me in a vehicle same size or better if one isnβt available. Well I went in and spoke with the guy and he told me he ainβt have anything available for me because they had 32 reservations on cars already and they couldnβt help me. Well o called the 1-800 number and they told me that because I have a contract already with them that I have priority to a car above the reservations and told me to go back in and talk to a manager so I did the manger was rude and was like I got the perfect car for you and gives his employee keys to a compact car thatβs completely no where near my size car cause I have a full size and tells me either you take it or you donβt and pertty much told me to get out of the store........Worst Service Ever they didnβt even try to help me nor even acknowledge their contract policy
While I was pleased with the pick up and processing time I am EXTREMELY dissatisfied with Enterprise. They did not completely, accurately document the condition of the car and now Im being charged with damage to the roof! I went in to the office and was told it is out of their hands and that they were too busy to help me! Yes, they were busy but they could have looked into it and called me back after following up on it. Thats all Id expect. When I called the claims dept. they said I would know the adjusters decision in about 6 weeks. I was told I have no input at all and that yes, I was at their mercy! This is only a scam by them to milk out money from people! I would BET MY LIFE that I did nothing to that car.The only time something would have happened is after they dropped me off at my destination and they drove back to their store but I have no way to prove anything. NOT HAPPY!

I had reserved a vehicle earlier in the month to attend a congerence. When I arrived, I was promptly greeted, paperwork taken care of and I was quickly on my way with a full tank of gas. The car I was assigned was a Dodge Dart. It handled well and the ride was smooth. The only down sides were that the car was a bit noisy and even though the company had clearly displayed no-smoking signs - you could clearly tell that the last person using it was a smoker. All-in-all, I was happy with both the service and the car. Will definitely use Enterprise for future car needs.
I have rented many times with my local branch! I have always been satisfied! That was until today! I reserved a car on line for someone very near and dear to my heart! When we got there to pick up the vehicle things changed! He was asked to provide documentation that I have never been asked for! One right after another! Then after all is said and done they drew more off his card than what they said they would for a deposit! I have never been more mortified in my life at the way he has been treated! After having such a good relationship with enterprise I expected so much better! All I am left to believe is it is definitely a blatant case of racism! So so sad! And so true! Im disheartened!

Over a week into having the rental tthey ended up charging her card without her authorization for 210 dollars for xtra insurance she already had threw her own insurance company and never agreed to purchase throw them . When she inquired about the charge the lady told her it was for this insurance and my mom said she never agree to purchase tha tthat the lady told her btold her she was out of luck and was very rude I feel like she was taken advantage of and they had zero remorse when I tried contacting them. ITS TRUELY SAD THAT THEY NEEDED SO BAD THEY WE WILLING TO CHEAT THE ELERELY OUT OF MONEY. I will be contacting the better buisness because about deceptivetive practices along with exposing them on every social media/review site. My mother is a super nice lady and she deserves an apology
As said in the previous few reviews this place has really bad customer service and will never ever do bine as with them again the gentleman was very deceptive and pushing trying to sell me xtra insurance for the rental when I told him I wasnt sure i needes to talk to my insurance company bc i think imncompletely covered for all that he said thats fine we wouldnt do anything not but do the paperwork on it so if I decided I wanted it I could call him later that day n he could process it without me having to come back down. I agreed but after speaking with my family and insurance company I confirm I didnt need the Xtra insurance and was happy I didnt let this guy pressure me into it. Needless to say they charged my credit card a week into the rentAl for said insurance, that I didnt need, nor authorize 11 dollars a day totally over 200 dollars. When I inquired and they exPlaines the charges I explained I didnt authroize this and she was rude unhelpful and didnt even care about the deceptive action this gentleman took. WORST SERVICE EVER!!! HAVE CALLED THEM 5 times through process of renting and ALL BUT ONE TIME their fax machine screamed in my ear and hung up! Even called corporate who transferred me only to be hung up on! (And corporate canβt help me!!!) WHAT A JOKE! Would not ever rent here except insurance is paying for it! ...also car smelled like a giant flea collar when I got it!! Canβt imagine what horrible chemicals I have been breathing in!!! Always had easy time renting cars from this location,fast,east, within budget,never had a issue for past 15 years of randomly using their rentals
When I questioned their $60 a day weekend rate and asked for a better rate they basically told me they had no leeway for negotiation and they were the cheapest in town and they could charge me pretty much anything they wanted. When I asked for the rate that they always accept from my insurance company (about $25 a day) they told me that insurance companies are their good customers and thats why they can pay that rate. Hmmm... Im NOT a good customer? I did a little research and found that I could get a larger car for 4 days from Budget in Erie for less than $80 for the entire 4 days including taxes and service charges!!! Enterprise just lost my business and they will now have one more car sitting in their lot over the weekend.
In the past, service was A1 vehicles were A1! Same is true now in the present. Service is A1 and the vehicle I rented was A1! Issues were at a minimum, thus not worth mentioning. I LOVE ENTERPRISE AND WILL RENT FROM THEM AGAIN!

I rented a Hyundai Santa Fe. Vehicle worked good going to Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Coming back the ac lines froze up so I had to drive 13 hours with ac of and on. Had to turn it off to defrost line then on till it froze again. It was a long hot miserable ride. Never renting a Santa Fe again.
These folks are awesome - friendly and personable, and completely professional. They maintain the vehicles well, and wouldnt dream of sending you out with a vehicle that was missing maintenance.As someone who has rented here for work and personal, I cant recommend this Enterprise enough.

Ive had my car worked on a few times through kia bc of my warranty through them and in my experience they have always gone through enterprise. Ive never had an issue with them until my last experience a few months ago. Usually kia deals with them to where I never had to until this one time (which will be my last). It is such a long story..When I got the car I had to pay an extra 100.00 a deposit he said. Once I return the car Id get my 100.00 back. So I had it for a weekend that I willingly paid out of my pocket until my warranty approved my car to get worked on. Came to their store from warren on a monday to tell them kia approved my car to be worked on that I need a rental for a few more days. But I was hoping that I could get my deposit back that day bc how I saw it technically I was returning the car on time and kia was taking it over. But they said ok just keep the car and we will get in touch with kia. As for my deposit Ill get it when I return the car. Frustrated but whatever I was like ok. Jump to Friday when I return it. I had to deal with this guy (dont remember his name unfortunately all I remember is he sat at the very front). So kia calls me to say my car is ready go to enterprise and dont pay anything (from mon-fri that is when they took over the rental) and bring us the copy from them showing how much is owed. Ok sounds good. Get to enterprise guy at desk wouldnt listen to me when I explained to him what they told me he needed to do. Instead of an easy phone call to them.. But no! He said kia is responsible for compensation that I had to pay the remaining (now Ive done this a few times with kia and enterprise never once did I have to deal with this) and kia would pay me. I even asked about my deposit he again said kia will pay you for it. In total I paid 606.00 for a small car for 1 week (almost as much as i pay in rent) get to kia I got 118.00 compensated. Went back to enterprise feeling I got screwed and didnt even get my deposit he argued and argued with me. Long story short i never got my 100.00 deposit and he told me to speak with his manager that was not there. Never called to speak with him. But I dont want to ever deal with them again. If I have to have my car in the shop again I will refuse to go through them i rather be without a vechile for a few days then be screwed out of so much money..
I have to say this is my first time renting a car. I know the weather was pretty bad but I have been through a lot of winters and the car I was given was just not handling well. It literally slid out of my driveway while it had been in park for hours into the road. It only has a slight incline. I had called about it and then had my insurance call about it and they had nothing else meanwhile I was on the line and the representative acted like I didnt know how the weather is here because she didnt know I was on the line. I would have much rather just kept my car. Never going here again!

I reserved a car through the website. Once I called to confirm they told me they had a high demand for cars and wouldnt be able to have it by noon. They then told me they would call me once one was available or to let me know what was happening. They never called me. I called the prior to closing and they said they still didnt have a car but someone would contact me soon about getting a car the next day. As you can imagine yet again no one ever call me. The worst experience I have ever had. I like Enterprise, but this branch is the worst I have ever dealt with. Inexcusable for two separate people not to call back.

Today i go to rent a car because mine broke down and they tell me i cant rent one unless i have a utility bill in my name???? Really??? Ok so problem solved. Ill rent a truck from uhaul for less money. Keep losing business. Mine is with uhaul from now on!!!

Ive been using Enterprise Jamestown, NY for 4 years now for my company. They rock! On occasion the tank is only half full and sometimes the cars could be cleaner, but over all the staff are wonderful, and they take care of my car rental needs and are very helpful.
Ive had some decent experiences with them, but not all. My last experience with them was ok in some sense, but I rented an Intermediate which is listed as an Elantra or similar. When I get there, the guy is pleasant but gives me keys to a Fiesta and proceeds to check if it has cruise because some of the intermediates dont have it. I definitely appreciated that gesture since I have had that trouble in the past. However, I go out to get in and realize that the fiesta is smaller than I am expecting. So, I go inside and ask if another car is available that is a little bigger. He asks if there is a problem with the fiesta and I just explain that I thought I had rented a little bigger car. He says that he has 2 Elantras that just need cleaned quickly, could I wait for 5 minutes. No problem, got an Elantra in 5 minutes. However, as I am now suspicious, I do some digging via Google and find the Enterprise Fleet list that details which cars are in which class (not super easy to find). Guess what, the Fiesta is the class lower than intermediate. As I have to assume the rep knew this fact, he was trying to get me to take a lower car for the same price. He was very smooth, so hard to tell. Id rather him have said upfront that the Elantra wasnt clean, could I wait a few minutes, not the old bait and switch Additionally, I got the first car at 8:03 (according the receipt), but I didnt get the correct car until about 20 minutes later. I returned the car after hours two days later. They check it is at 8:37 the next day and so charge me for an extra hour on both the rental agreement and the insurance, so at least $20 extra. Even if I had gotten the car at 8:03am, the car was on the lot for at least 12 hours before they checked it in, so why do I have to pay an extra hour for the time it took them to check it in the next morning?There have also been at least 2 occasions when a car was rented ahead of time and then upon agreed pickup time, no cars were available. That is also frustrating.

Accidentally left my cooler in the back of my rental, called the next day to retrieve it, and have gotten no response whatsoever. It has been 2 weeks. Other than that, my rental experience was wonderful, as it always is.
My problems started when we arrived at your dunkirk,ny store. i arrived with another lady and let her take care of business. i sat in one of the waiting room chairs.another lady came in and stood in the room. one of the reps was on the phone which is why i sat. when she was done on the phone she went directly to the standing woman and ignored me. after that lady left she called me over.we went through the rental process and she asked if i wanted a printed copy of contract and i told her yes. for whatever reason she couldnt print it out. she then told me one was sent to my email. we then went outside to check the car out. it wasnt washed and had several scratches in the paint which were not recorded at all. because of wahat happened at the desk i was told not to worry about the gas,but when i retuned car they pointed out there was less in tank than when car left.lsowhen i got home there was no contract in my email and it took two days to get a two page printout on my computor.

I called our local enterprise phone number and it brings you to a generic enterprise number and Ive had to wait a very extended time waiting for a quick answer.This is very disturbing and it is forcing me to call other rental car companies because I shouldnt have to wait.

I made a reservation for a Kia Soul, they had called me n told me that they didnt have a vehicle ready at the time I needed it but would have the Kia the next day, so I went down to the office where they said they would have the Kia at. When I got there I filled out the paperwork, then they handed me the keys, i thought I was gunna be driving away in a Kia Soul but when I went to check out the vehicle to my surprise it wasnt a Kia or anything like that. I needed a car cuz mine was in the shop, so I took it. That nite it started to snow n the roads were slippery, the tires on the vehicle were bald n the car had no traction. I thought I was gunna crash. My husband then drove the car n hes the best driver Ive ever met n he was slipping n sliddin. The next day I found out that my car wasnt gunna be done for a couple of days, so I called n extended my rental for a few more days. They told me the price on it n it sounded reasonable, but what they didnt tell me is that the price they said was plus what I had already put down as a down payment, the day I was gunna return the car they called my reference which is my mechanic n my job, instead of calling my phone or my husbands. Then they showed up at my job n demanded the keys to the car or they were gunna take things further, they said I owed way to much, I went on telling them that I was getting ready to go n pay n that my mechanic said my car would be done tomorrow afternoon, n that my mechanic had told them the exact same thing. They said they never talked to anyone n that they were taking the car n I was supposed to walk to the office n pay them, (which was a half hr drive from where I was)wondering if I asked them how much it was gunna be n they quoted me twice as much as I was told in the 1st place. I will never go back there nor recommend them to anyone. That was the worst experience Ive ever had n what was supposed to be cheap ended up costin 3 times the amount n I didnt get the vehicle I had reserved.
