I recently started working with Manikin. They are fun to work with and very professional. I’m impressed with how easy it is to ask questions and learn. They communicate well and always get back to me quickly.

This company is such a scam. They may be for you if you live in NY or on the east coast. But I live in the PNW. I told them I only wanted auditions that were near me on the west coast, and wanted to stick more with modeling than acting. They agreed to these terms and sent me a contract. After signing with then, they make you pay for an audition profile website. They say they cannot control the price because it is a separate company. (Isnt it their job to get you auditions?) So after paying to be on the sites they begin sending you a ton of emails. I got up to 50 per day! But they were mostly for 2-3 different shows all acting jobs. Mostly repeats because shows need multiple people. And you get an email for anything you fit in. Then if there is something that looks good and you want to audition, they make you pay again!. So not only do you pay to be on the site. You pay to audition! The second I found that out I cancelled my contract. Again, isnt their job to get you work. Thats how they make money. Why should I pay to audition with a million other people. No thank you. There are much better places out there than this one. Just keep looking! It is the agents job to find you work. Thats why you pay them 10-20%. Not because you found a job offer some website. All the jobs have barely any description and are usually for the next day. Pretty sure they are just hunting the Internet for the jobs. Do not join Manikin. Go elsewhere. There are much better Talent agencies out there.

We were very disappointed in the services (or lack of) that we received from Manikin. They didnt do much to make us feel confident in their abilities and never actually reached out to us in any way that was meaningful. Never booked a single appointment and they require you to sign up to several websites & online subscriptions (some of which cost you money) and even after doing all of this they never truly deliver anythinBottom line is they work like a third party service instead of a partner and provide only the bare minimum required to call themselves an agency. No different than going it alone and just signing up for the sites yourself. Very disappointing.

They really are horrible at communicating. Most of the jobs you pretty much end up getting on your own through TAC or all the other websites they make you sign up for which cost $$$$ upfront. Basically you pay to sign up to casting websites, They forward you castings that are already available to you once you sign up to the website and then they steal 20% of the money you make. Either that or they encourage you to go on talent showcases (which they most likely attend for free while you pay $3,000 or more) and then once you return from the showcase you never hear from them again.They are not a real agency! Not worth your time or money, I dont have a no star option!

Manikin is a great agency and is where I got my start. To those who claim they cant be reached after paying money, that is not true. They do not charge you unless otherwise for a membership to websites which you will need in your career to find work yourself as they find work for you as well.

Mankin Agency is a wonderful agency. Im 48 a lot of people would say thats to old. Not Mankin they gave me a chance. I have done 2 pictures. But the sky is limit. And one day Im be on tv and everyone who doubt me .Are going be in for a surprise .But I stay positive and they encourage me not to give up. And guess what Im not look out world. It was a really horrible experience. First, they are NOT an agency. They are a website that gathers random castings from places and sends them to you.They charged upfront fees and I NEVER got anything legitimate from them.They cant be reached once they charge you money. Saif Kareem (NPC Physique ) fooled me into getting into this agency.They sent me castings that did not match me and when they did, I was required to pay a huge fees (other than the upfront fees I was charged.)DO NOT sign up with them. YOU will not get anything.

Paid upfront fees to Amy and Rich Hearsy (the owners) but unfortunately they did not help at all, EVER. Casting and shoots will come out of your pocket along with the terrible classes and cruises they set up. TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY. Website is full of lies especially those celebrities i can speak for one... they made it to an audition on their own and got th job without being notified by amy and rich. They really are just looking to take money and claim they helped, not actually make a good name for themselves. Extremely disappointed after seeing the true side of the owners.

We have been with this agency for a little under 5 months now. All the reviews are true, you pay a 15 fee every month for a talent profile and get multiple websites contacting you that they setup profiles but you have to pay for those also if you want anything other than the basic free profile which you dont get any bookings from. Now from what I gathered so far in the industry for about a year or so you shouldnt have to pay for an agency given that their pay relies on the jobs you booked but it was our first offer so I jumped on it without really investigating which is my fault. I know you have to put money in at some point but not to find your work when you sign with an agency. We have not received one booking or even opportunity since signing up with Manikin. The opportunities that have been emailed to us my daughter isnt even eligible for due to age and in that 5 months Ive received exactly 10 emails in her email account 8 being sign-up emails from casting agencies and 2 for ineligible bookings. Ive received one Skype interview that was more about me then her and a couple text messages reminding me to sign in to The email or submit more photos. The one booking I found searching for through the casting websites they sign you up for yelled at me for trying to self submit because even though I emailed, texted, and called manikin they still would not submit us to the casting just got an auto reply from the casting email. I have had more luck on my own getting my daughter model fits and other opportunities not related to Manikin than I have had with this company. The agents do a very short interview and then add you to their money pool I guess. The agents are nice and seem helpful but never follow through or follow up. If you are new to the industry and looking for a serious agency to help you, This is not the one. They have thousands of people paying them money every month or their affiliate every month and expect you to produce your own results if any. And if your child is under 5 there are NO bookings available for them as I have spent hours going through both Manikins bookings in their apps and emails and the casting networks they have signed us up for. Hours of my time mind you that I pay an agency for. If your child is even 6 through 8 I havent seen many either. I think at the end of the day they are just a passthrough company not an agency and if your an adult there are alot of opportunities but your going to have to do the work yourself because they are very unresponsive but if you just need an agency to say you have an agency then youve found it.I am not trying to trash them in any way. Im not even upset, like I said Im able to generate work for my daughter because she is talented and beautiful however most of these bookings are unpaid we only get products or promotion from which I am fine with being Im just trying to build her portfolio, at the end of the day Im not concerned about the money only the growth of her career. I would have even taken my child to bookings that didnt pay but manikin wont book those either to promote you because oh yea they dont receive a cut. Im just trying to save other moms the extra money and time they could be putting into their childs development and to know that these reviews arent from Disgruntled ex models or anything that they are the truth so you know what your going into.

I was with MANiKiN agency for 3 years. For the people saying they are not legitimate because they charge upfront fees I ask, where? Yes, you have to pay to have a profile on most of the websites they get big jobs from, but if you expect to get LEGITIMATE jobs through the entertainment industry its a price you have to pay. I had MANY jobs through the agency that I made great money from. I was on the Diagon Alley commercial for Universal Stidios, I was an extra in a movie, I had a modeling gig with LOreal USA, etc. before auditioning for the agency, you should know that I didnt get those jobs by sitting on my ass and expecting Rich and Amy to find them for me. There are hundreds if not thousands of people in this agency. You have to accept breakdowns, send in audition videos and PRACTICE every single day! If youre not willing to work hard, youre wasting your time. This is the most legitimate agency Ive ever had the pleasure to work with. They work hard and LOVE their talent, because of them Im on IMDB and Ive been to 2 international talent showcases.
