FOYA has an amazing staff of teachers and mentors and in general are just an amazing group of people.I run into Larry and his wife on a regular basis and the two of them are in always happy and ready to go. The are a wonderful addition to our community in St Augustine . They run some great programs and I can’t wait to get my daughter signed up for some classes very soon. If your looking for a family type of atmosphere to train at, well this is the place 👍

This academy not only makes you feel at home they are great for any skill level beginner to advanced. The instructors are nice and patient and really want you to understand the moves and learn the techniques . The kids classes are incredible my children have learned so much and love going to there classes here they make it fun and easy to introduce jiu jitsu to anyone.

Ive known Larry since about 20 years ago when we both trained under John Lewis in Las Vegas. Hes always been a man whos care about people shines through. He carries this into his Jiu Jitsu schools, where he shares his decades of experience. I would be happy to call FOYA my home if I lived in Florida.

Best Jiu Jitsu gym hands down. The instructor is very focused on technique and learning the moves properly. At the same time the conditioning is amazing. This has been a great place to learn the art of Jiu Jitsu and get in shape at the same time!

I trained in Las Vegas and met Larry back in the late 90s. We were in the epicenter of the Jiu Jitsu explosion. We trained under the 1st era of American Black Belts. Names like John Lewis, Andre Pederneiras, Marc Laimon and Robert Drysdale. Larrys BJJ knowledge is deep and his passion is true.
