I called Vector Security Alarm company because I have not heard from them in many many months. I was going to leave the company and move on to another alarm system provider for servicing and emergency.I needed to make sure that the alarm was working and the motion sensors actually doing their job.I am so thankful that I stayed with Vector Security. I must make special mention of three individuals that gave me all of their heart and understood at this time of my life I need to be safe. The first young lady I need to pay tribute to is a young lady who’s name is Tierra.She understood precisely what my needs were and why I felt I wasn’t getting proper attention. She had the most wonderful customer service calming voice that you would ever want to talk to especially when you’re thinking of canceling service. I hope that management will pay this compliment to Tierra for being a great tribute to Vector Security. She was very kind and understanding letting me know that she would send a senior technician to make sure my system is working perfectly. They came right on time this morning and I need to mention their names because from the minute they came in the door understanding that my life was difficult lately, they showed me nothing but heart. From the minute they walked in until the minute they left they made sure I understood the mobile app they tested all the equipment more than once. They found a couple of faulty items which were replaced. I am hoping that this review will be seen by management who will let Frank and Dave know it was an absolute pleasure having them in my home and watching them work as true professionals. There is nothing better then having knowledgeable technicians to answer all your questions and do a job efficiently and flawlessly.Customer service must be a top priority for any successful company. Technician called before arrival and was on time. Took him only a few minutes to locate issues were in phone line. Probably not part of the actual alarm system but assisted with me running a new line after we told him we were leaving on vacation soon.Verified everything was good before leaving!

I have been with Vector for over a year now & am in love with the “HOME AUTOMATION PACKAGE”! I love having the ability to see who is at my door regardless of I’m home or not & having the ability to speak to them! I also have the garage door mod because I am bad at leaving it open all the time & now I don’t have to worry anymore! The entire process was seamless from rep, tech & install I must say the service is outstanding & customer service you can actually speak to is amazing!

We have had Vector for years. It started out as a different name. Customer service is outstanding. If we need them for anything they come right out. I love their new technology. We are very pleased with our upgrades. Weve had them for over six months and working like they should. Keep up the great work.

Wow what with all bad reviews?We had Vector over a year now and very happy with service. Dispatch works very sharp, we registered alarm with sheriffs office and they come out every time it motions.We had motion sensor issue and it was replaced in few days, charge was only $30.The monthly charge is exactly what was agreed up on.Happy Happy Happy :-)
Haven’t had any issues until now. The day Hurricane Irma came, the system indicated it needed battery change for the motion detectors, so we changed them. Then a person over the intercom stated there was another low battery. So we looked at the system again. It’s has an error message. I went online to Vectors website to request an appointment & never received a call back. A couple weeks later since no one reached out.... I called today & they offered an appointment for a $30 fee or add a $5/month feature to include these visits. Excuse me! That is totally unreasonable! I already pay more than everyone I know a month & now you want me to pay extra. I think it’s time for a change.
Vector Security has wonderful customer service. Ive had my security system and cameras for 4 years and its been great! I would highly recommend Vector Security.
Very nice people to deal with, but the new equipment they use is junk. make sure you get the maintenance agreement. you are going to need it! the tech has been to my house 3 times already with a fourth tomorrow. I pay extra for a 2way communicator that WILL not work for more than 2 days. I have asked to have the system replaced and I have been told there is nothing wrong with your system but we will send someone out to fix it.
We used Vector since they were called Certified years ago. The quality changed after the name change, in my opinion. We just found out our home was not calling in or reaching the monitoring service for about a year. No one called and when we cancelled, obviously irate, we were asked to cancel in writing with an effective date. I requested a refund or consideration for the truly missing service and will post and update here, depending on the response.From an installation and installer drilling into the main power (sparks flying out of the attic access in about 2011/12) for the house at first installation to a service call to correct a non-working system and having to replace the battery myself....I was not pleased and cannot recommend.

I have not had any issues with my system or with anyone Ive spoke with over the phone. Everyone is polite and knowledgeable and was able to assist me trouble shoot over the phone. I recommended Vector to my family and friends when they ask who I have for my security services.

I would not recommend them :(. You can not record 24/7 so it’s not worth it . Getting them to help once it is put in is not easy and you can put a great security system in your own home now with eight cameras that see day and night, record 24/7 and see on your phone, computer or tablet for less than $400.00 with no monthly fees . They won’t let you out of contract even though they misrepresent what their cameras can do and video footage.

Great at first unless you need service. My firm has an 8k system. Replaced our modem and the system stopped working. They will not provide port forwarding information and insist you pay them a fee to fix it. Vector insisted warranty wont cover this and it will take them a week to come out. The person on the phone said they cant come out till next week and would pause, like I am going to say never-mind, I dont need to use this brand new security system I just purchased from you or something?!?
My alarm was not monitored for more than 6 months and I did not know about it until I called them to ask and then they said that I had to pay someone to come and see what issue was. Made no sense to me since they have been collecting payments for up to 6 months already and if I had not called them they would not have confirmed that our account was not being monitored and issue in the system - and still they want to charge. Cancelling asap.
We just had our system upgraded and a camera installed. Great company and professional tec and office staff. Highly recommend.

Used them for 20 years and then there service went to hell. My alarm system has (three dissabled zones and multiple false alarms) that they knew for 2 months. However they sure know how to send a invoice... Ps My alarm system is still defunked!!
DO NOT Use This Company! After using them for 10+ years at a commercial location (and paying extra monthly for Warranty), they were unable to fix a simple error for over 1 week. When I then terminated their service they remotely blocked the main panel out of spite causing me to purchase a new one from my new service provider. This equipment was paid for and was not theirs to disable. Their 5 Star rating is either self-plants or from folks who have had no cause to test their service.

Im sorry to see all the negative reviews. I have nothing but nice things to say. I had all my windows and doors replaced recently and they came out, removed all the security devises from the old windows and returned later to reinstall them. Ive had a door unit go out (after 4 years) and it was covered by my warranty program. Yes, there is a service charge, but when ever the alarm was set off by accident they called within 45 seconds. One time I even gave the wrong security password when they called to check on a false alarm and they politely accepted it, thanked me, and sent the police. I do not know if the equipment is state of the art, but the service I have received the last five years has been exceptional.
I have been a customer for the past 12 yrs.with many renewals of my contract. However I sold my home 6 wks. ago, and they will not reply to my requests for a new system in my new residence. They said i had to continue to pay my monthly bill and it would be credited to my account once they install a new system.My repeated phone calls (12) have gone unanswered, yet they continue to bill me. According to my contract they have not fulfilled their responsibility to give me security, so I recently sent a letter to them that my contract is now now Null and Void since they have not continued my service at my requests. Also I would not pay them another penny, nor would I continue with their services, which they did not supply.I would not recommend this company to anyone wanting security.

In the 4 months Ive had this system Ive had multiple false alarms because of the equipment not being installed properly. Theyve come out to repair with no success. I asked to be let out of my contract and be refunded my cost so I can get another system since they cant seem to get their act together, they wont consider it. Ive been without a working alarm for over a month now, stay far away from Vector Security.

Go with any other company than this one! The sales people lie to you about what is provided when you pay for premium services and the customer service is atrocious! The Fort Lauderdale manager should be fired and corporate is not any better. Whenever there is a false alarm (which happens randomly for absolutely no reason) the call center dials my emergency number instead of me and has even called the police before calling me. I have complained about this multiple times and they still havent corrected the issue. They will slip in multiple hidden charges that are not mentioned on the contract. They are scam artists in the business of security - be warned! I will be canceling my service asap!!

Worst customer service .... needed help with malfunction in system and they scheduled an appointment for 2 weeks later. So we had to listen to beeping alarm system through 2 weeks of nights and days. TERRIBLE .... choose another security system company
They do not really seem to care about customers or their security. Long delays for telephone contact and long delays for setting appointment. Technical staff representative seemed equipped to do little more than read a screen. I will be looking for an alternative service.
