Stand up character and old school ethics in the automotive industry for the most part and the most knowledgeable people who are involved in this type of work these days. Great experience for myself and highly recommended to anyone who wants to have a professional experience with your engine mechanics and your heads need cleaning up being replacing the gaskets. They are the best ones that I have found.

I cant say this is a 1 star business because the customer service was good and they worked with me on the details that I wanted. However, back when I had the work done, half of my rods were mounted backwards on the pistons, not a huge issue as I fixed it while I was building my engine. Second, when my block was machined and cleaned, threads werent chased (I didnt specifically ask for it, but thought it was part of cleaning) and the oil galley plug was removed and never reinstalled, again, not a major problem. Issue number 3 that I just discovered while upgrading my heads, 7/8 of the valve seals installed in one of the heads were installed improperly, and the one that was installed properly had the spring snap, and I cannot reasonably say that it was just a defective seal. After chasing oil consumption issues and why I always had oil in the exhaust, I can safely say it was caused by the work done here.

I have been using Precision for about 8 years now. I have my own auto repair shop in Middleburg. I followed Ralph to here from Dover Cylinder Head when he was in the industrial loop in orange park. I have talked with Barry several times, and he seems like a nice guy, never met him, but i know Ralph has always done a great job for me for 19 years now. I am sending 06 Trailblazer SS Heads to them today for reconditioning. Thanks Barry and Ralph. Sam

This shop and its staff are great. They remanufactured my 1937 Ford V8 block and crankshaft. I was pleased with their knowledge when it came to working on such an old and relatively uncommon engine. All work was done quickly and at a very good price.

Precision Crankshaft rebuilt a 1.9L DOHC Saturn engine for me in May 2013. Ive waited to leave a review to see how the work held up. Im happy to report that the engine has performed flawlessly with thousands of miles on the rebuild. I highly recommend this shop.

Top notched service. Had a head with a broken exhaust manifold bolt, took it to Precision. They drilled, tapped, and helacooled the bolt threads and had it back to me next day.Found out that I had a resurfacing issue, sent it back to them and had it back in 24 hours. Highly recommended!

I have been worned not to go here but it was the closest to my house. Seemed like a decent place when walking in, a bit out dated. They are in no hurry to get ur engine back to you so make sure u have a week or two of spare time after they quoted me 2-3 days and once getting it back expect below to bare minimum workmanship with no accountability for their mess ups. After a week and a half you would think they would have time to do it right but instead At the end of it i am on the way to a new shop and will not be returning. It certainly was a learning experience.....

I had my engine assembled by precision, my motor locked up within 200 miles. After vigorous dispute with shop foreman, who stated my engine seized due to detonation (which is basically not physically possible, especially in given time frame) i was told to basically take a walk i dont care about you. After picking my parts up from shop i discovered half of my materials where not given back to me. Upon further dispute i was arrogantly blown off by shop foreman. BEWARE!!!! You will loose your engine and your money dealing with this company!

One of the last great machine shops left in Jax Fl. I have been using them since the early 90s and I have never had any issues!!!!! berry and the crew are awesome!!!

Basically i went to have a crank grinded.. they told me they could take it down .10 on the rod journals and mains about the same. which to me was dandy.. i came back in to pick it it up but you get what you pay for. after 65 dollars i was given a crank with different sizes on each each journal. (not usable) i checked double checked and had another shop check. try your luck.. but you ask me go somewhere else there is other shops in town. and just replace your cranks.

Precision is The BEST. Honest and diligent. I will only go to them for machine work.
