I have had multiple opportunities of working with Compufix in recent years, from repair and cleaning of existing computer to recent purchase of a new (refurbished) system. All experiences with Mr. Gray have been pleasant and beyond satisfactory. He consistently provides timely response to requests for help with repairs and even with general questions and I am quite pleased with the system + monitor I just purchased from him. He’s very knowledgeable and it’s wonderful to have such a trustworthy and capable resource for my computer needs!

My computer suddenly crashed. After several failed attempts at fixing it myself, I decided to locate a repair company. Was pleased when I spoke with the gentleman who owns this company. He was able to diagnosis and repair the computer. Very affordable and quick turn around!

That was simply outstanding experience. On Sunday my computer stopped responding to Power On button. It simply would not start. Around 7:00 PM on Sunday! Glenn met with me and in 40 minutes computer was booted up an running. Very professional. Brilliant!

He diagnosed a failed Comcast modem, and helped me to set up my new Chromebook. He also showed me how to use my chromebook, as I have never used one before, and explained this very patiently. He repaired my other Dell Laptop which had a damaged charger socket. His charge was very reasonable and was the pre agreed amount. I took some cards from him to give to my friends because I will be recommending him to them. I recommend him to anyone who reads this now.

I am very impressed with Glenns professionalism, responsiveness, and to fast repair time. Moreover, he is very meticulous in his work and was attentive to my instructions in the repair of my desktop. I am a professor and am also finishing the writing of my dissertation. My hard drive failed on a Saturday morning, I dropped it off to him by mid-day, and by Monday afternoon I was back working on my dissertation and working on my classes. I asked that he back up my hard drive, install a solid state drive (SSD) and then reinstall my most important programs to get me back working as quickly as possible. He accomplished all of this in a short time and with great attention to the details of what would be most helpful for me. He has earned my repeat business, and I will be dropping off my laptop to upgrade and clean that for my future working and holiday trips. Highly recommended!!Update 3/6/21: Just wanted to add to my review a few weeks after Glenn recovered information from my hard drive and installed a solid state drive (SSD). I continue to be impressed with the level of detail in Glenns work in getting me back up and working with my computer. I am an adjunct instructor teaching six classes at two different universities and am also finishing a dissertation. I asked Glenn to reinstall all of my programs to help me get back to work sooner. I could have done all of that work myself, but I needed to be back working as quickly as possible. Over the past two weeks, I see the level of care and attention to detail Glenn took in restoring my computer. There are a lot of folks out there who repair computers, and I am sure they also do good work, but it is the attention to detail that has inspired me to return to Glenn for the future upgrade of my laptop and for any other computer work I require.

I am a decent PC user and can generally fix my own computer problems, but every 3 or 4 years I may need more technical expertise. My usual tech team moved farther away so I tried Compufix based on their reviews and proximity to my home. I could not be more pleased. Glenn worked with me to address each of my needs. My laptop went to Glenn in a slow, cumbersome, unusable mess and came back clean and fast and functioning beautifully. I am very happy to have found great technical support in my area. I felt the pricing was good based on the amount of work required of Glenn.

My harddrive crashed late day Thursday. Found Glen online and he agreed to let me drop it off at 8PM at night. I expressed how important it is for my business not to lose any files, data, programs, systems etc., and that I not be down long. He worked late into the night and half the next day. He successfully recovered all my files, data, op systems, settings, and programs. He saved them to a drive, cloned it all, then cleaned everything up and updated Microsoft. Transferring the entire clone to a brand new 1TB Sata drive. I picked up my brand new computer by Friday afternoon the next day. Glen communicated with me throughout the whole process. He was very honest and straightforward. Very professional and friendly. Also, fun to talk to with his authentic Scottish acent. Glenn Gray the owner of A+ Computer repair was recommended to me by a coworker. My hard drive failed, majorly. I was so upset because it has all my photos and school work on, my life. Glenn replaced the old drive with a solid state drive and set my PC up just like a new computer but its 10 x faster, it starts so quickly its like Windows is flying at you. Not bad for a 6 year old Laptop. Its like a hot rod. The best bit is after a struggle he finally managed to recover all of my files. He gave me lots of good advice about backing up my files and security as well. I feel like Ive had a crash course in computers and the internet. Thanks to Sharon my coworker for the recommendation. I dropped off a damaged flashdrive (sandisk) in early June to see if all my data could be removed and saved to another device. I called and left a message on my smartphone in late August to get status. Still havent heard a word. I have now returned to my home in Italy but am available at my email address. I dropped my Laptop off to Glen at his Lovely Home, i did not go in, he met outside, which as a woman made me feel more comfortable. He was Patient and Very Kind. When i txtd him with questions or concerns, He responded quickly. In addition to him fixing my Laptop which i bought used online, installing a new Hard Drive, and installing Windows, i asked Glen to remove the sticker off of my Laptop and clean the laptop for me. It came back with zero sticker residue, no scratches, and looked like a brand new laptop, top bottom, keys and all. I will absolutely do business with Glen again. He is extremely Professional and Great at what he does. He has great customer service. My laptop is running great and fast and looks beautiful.

Compufix sold me some excellent refurbished computers and delivered them very quickly. They were helpful every step of the way. It is good knowing I wont have to worry if there even is any trouble with them because the customer service was so great.

I HAD a Lenovo yoga, needed a screen repair. he bought a new screen and was not able to fit correctly. told me he would help find me a new laptop at price, (this was the course of about 2 months) still no replacement he still has the old laptop. for all i know it was fixed and reaold.

My Microsoft Surface was in a loop where I couldnt even boot it up and get it to turn on. I feel like I tried EVERYTHING until I brought it to Computfix. The gentleman who took care of my laptop was VERY knowledgeable, it was like he was reading every bit of what he was telling me off of a Wikipedia page. His level of knowledge was incredible, and not only that, but he knew exactly how to fix my device and had it to me in no time! The laptop works just like it did when it when it was new, and Im very happy with the service provided.

My laptop wifi stopped working last week. everyone else in my house has wifi - just not me. My boyfriend tried to fix it (sorry Guy) but couldnt. Our neighbors son is a real computer nerd, but he couldnt fix it. Its been making me so frustrated, so finally I did a google search on my iPhone, and saw that A+ Computer repair was near and open. I left it with Glen Grey the owner yesterday at 3pm. He texted me at 9.30 to tell me it was fixed, and had been tuned up. I got it back today - he replaced the wireless circuit in the laptop, and took off some viruses. I.m pleased. The laptop is working great on the internet now. Now Im saving up to have Glenn put a ssd in it to make it even faster.

Glenn at Compufix did an outstanding job of delivering a new updated computer after my hard drive suddenly and unexpectedly crashed last week. He was able to retrieve all of the data from the bad drive and install it onto the new drive in about 24 hrs which was phenomenal and at an affordable price. What an awesome upgrade! And he does MAC too!

I own a consulting business that I run from my house and EVERYTHING I need to operate is on my computer. When Dorian blew through Jax, somehow the power kept going off and on, off and on; and it screwed up my computer and was asking for some type of IDE password. The BIG problem was, I never created an IDE password. I jacked around with my computer for several hours, and LUCKILY seen the advertisement for Glenns business. I called him at 9:30 P.M. and was in full panic mode, as I HAD to have my computer fixed before the start of business the following day. Glenn was VERY polite and easy to work with. I about fell over when he said he could have it fixed for me that night. I brought my machine to him and in less than 30 minutes I was up and running again. His fee for doing this emergency repair was very modest. I am for sure going to continue to business with him. I learned from this experience that I need to get another computer to back all of my work onto. His prices for laptop and desktop computers were so reasonable, I will be calling him in a few days to purchase the laptop computer that I so desperately need.

I recommend Compufix Jax to anyone needing a data recovery service. I thought I had lost all of my files when my hard drive failed. Thankfully I found this local company, who managed to get all of my files back from the hard drive. I always thought that Data Recovery would be expensive Glenn told me that there would be no charge if they did not recover any files. Well he managed to recover all of my files, and the price including a new external hard drive to store them all on was very reasonable. I couldnt be happier, because he also set up an SSD in my laptop which makes it sooooooooo much faster than it was before. He also set me up with an online cloud backup service so that I would be protected against this happening again. So I recommend Compufix for data recovery, replacing hard drives, backup and really everything to do with computers. He even recommended a great car mechanic to fix my car - and he was great too. Glenn Gray of A+ Computer and Laptop Repair (Compufix) sold me a new Apple iMac, he recovered the data from the old iMac; then copied over all of the data from my old iMac Compufix came out to my home to set the computer up with internet, my printer, Time Machine and iCloud. The iCloud was messed up on the old PC but Glenn Gray fixed that and got everything synching again. I love my new iMac!! The screen is so beautiful. Glenn also set me up with Apple Care for 3 years. And it was all done so quickly. He has fixed my computers 3 times remotely from his office, which is amazing.

Glenn at Compufix helped my son at UNF on a weekend with an emergency situation five days before a killer final. Though this was very short notice with the father of a new and unknown client calling him late Friday night from far away, he was great. Once informed of the urgency he immediately and quite clearly wanted to help. Compufix came to the rescue today! My office computer crashed and Compufix met me on site within thirty minutes of my call. Now, not only was my data saved, my computer is up and running better than it ever has! I was also very pleased that the service did not cost an arm and a leg!

They came to my home and helped me open a gmail account to take over my old yahoo account which had been hacked. They installed Webroot Secure Anywhere. which together with gmail is helping me cut back spam. They also helped me to upgrade from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. What I liked best was Glenn the owner gave me personal attention and did not confuse me with technical words, but clearly explained to me each step of the process to make my email and my computer more secure. My computer works so much faster than it did, after getting a tune up it is faster than it has ever been. Next week they are going to work on my Granddaughters macbook pro which has been running slow.
