I am the owner of Liberty Marine Services and have had the pleasure to work with Bill Shafernacker and his crew for several years now. They have proven to be a huge asset to our company. They are professional, always on time, and always willing to go the extra mile. Being a Ships Chandler many obstacles we face are beyond our control. We are hitting what I call a “moving target”. As these situations arise Dames Point Workboats has always accommodated the uncertain schedule. There is always uncertainty as to what time the ship will arrive and and even what time they will take their stores via launch. Dames Point Workboats have never failed us arriving on time at the vessel. They are truly an amazing company to work with. There are many occasions when Dames Point Workboats crew have been forced to wait for hours for the ship to receive their stores. Dames Point Workboats have always been alongside the vessel at the scheduled time. Many times they are forced to wait until the ship is ready to take the stores which turns out to be hours on numerous occasions. Another of our needs is that they wait until the Ship unloads materials needed to be returned to shore. Mr. Shafernacker and his crew have waited patiently, in many cases for hours, sitting along side the ship, again, waiting on them to take the stores as well as waiting to receive the products to be offloaded. This causes them to work beyond hours they were scheduled to work. They have done this graciously and professionally. This forces them to put on additional fresh crew for the next days work, completely unplanned. Yet they make it happen. We have no way to anticipate this. They have not one time ever failed us in this troublesome endeavor. In foul weather Dames Point Workboats have made certain that the products we are delivering are shielded from the weather. This is no easy task and shows how they go above and beyond to take care of their customers. Liberty Marine Services have never found a company that can be trusted so much to do the job they do. We know without hesitation that they will do whatever it takes, day or night, holidays or weekend, to complete the deliveries in a professional and safe manner. I have personally always been impressed and amazed at the quality of service this company provides. I consider myself very fortunate to find a company that works like they do. They are reliable and always on time. I cannot think of any other company that puts forth the effort they do to ensure such Safe and efficient work. My business relationship with Bill Shafnacker dates back to November 2012 when I rented a 24x48 barge from Bill for an FDOT project we completed on the Trout River in Jacksonville, FL. I appreciated Bill for his expedient service and fair rates. I have continued a business relationship with Mr. Shafnacker on many FDOT projects each year to date, always finding him to be very reputable, fair, and responsible. I highly recommend Bill and his company, Dames Point Workboats.

Get ready to lose if you do business will Bill Shafnacker, the owner. They sold us a crane advertised by Bill as work ready, the crane worked for 30 minutes before needing a $6000 mechanic overhaul on the engine and hydraulics. As if this wasnt bad enough, we rented a barge from him, and now he refuses to give us our security deposit back like a man. He conveniently now claims our security deposit was for a boat we never bought, used, or gained access to. Dont get tangled up with this guy, you will lose. We did twice.
