Took a shot on this barbershop today and just did a walk in and James was the barber that did the hair cut for my son.I am so glad that I tried them. James was amazing, the rest of the staff was friendly and engaging with the customers. Professional, clean and a wonderful family atmosphere.I highly recommend this spot . The qualify and price are excellent.Give them a try you will not be dissapointed.

Took our 2 year old grandson for his first haircut at Cliffs. Carlie did an amazing job...great haircut. She was patient, kind, professional and put him at ease. Mom and dad loved the haircut and we will definitely be bringing him back. James and everyone there are great. Highly recommend Cliffs to everyone.

Went here once and never again!! I looked at reviews and called ahead before going just to be greeted by an old man who was falling asleep in the barbershop chair (the owner) who proceeded to buzz my hair even though I told him I wanted a flip on the front. Maybe I wasnt clear so Ill take fault, but I shouldve known it was going to be a bad experience when I saw him sleeping when I walked in. I paid my fare, even after he said it was MY fault for not being clear on my haircut style. I digress. Do better.

Fantastic service, conversation and haircut. I barely had to explain what I wanted done and walked out clean and trimmed like no other barbershop in Jax. Would for sure go back. Well worth the drive for me.

Went today for the first time. Donna was my stylist/barber. She did a fantastic job with my thinning hair. Fast, efficient, super affordable and very friendly. I will be back.

Got my first haircut there in the 60s. They have moved over 1-2 suites since then. They are always friendly and do a good job, no matter who cuts my hair.

I got there early to have the younger James cut my hair. He’d done a good job last time do I figured I’d use him again. Several people were waiting for him and his dad to cut their hair so there was a little bit of a wait. So I took my chance on a newer barber name Carly. She was great. I could tell right away from her accent that she was from the upper Midwest. She said she came down to Jacksonville because her husband is in the Navy. She did a great job like James has done in the past. So cone to Cliff’s asked for Carly. Or James is she’s busy.

I think all of jacksonville knows Cliffs barber shop! It’s is the only place I’ll ever take my son, and nephews! we love the staff, My sons favorite part is the lollipop drawer! You don’t need to make an appointment which is incredibly convenient for our busy unpredictable Schedule, busier times are close to closing time and Saturdays otherwise wait isn’t long. I saw the staff cleaning everything properly and it made us feel cery comfortable. Price was EXTREMELY fair!

Considering Cliffards rude secretary, business must be very good for him. I was NOT allowed to make an appointment because I didnt know the names of any of their people. I would be happy with anyone, I just wanted my hair cut at a convenient time for me but it seems thats a little much to ask of them. I will shave my head before I spend money with these clowns.

Ok so I might be a little picky when it comes to getting my hair cut. At least 90% of the times that I get my cut, I end up fixing it myself when I get home. Carley did a fantastic job cutting my hair. She took her time and made sure that everything looked perfect. I will definitely return.

New to the neighborhood and decided after reading reviews to try Cliffs. 1st impression, Clean and professional old school barber shop. After a short wait I received a fantastic haircut. Candis looked at the image I showed her and we discussed it for a moment. She asked a couple of times to confirm how short I wanted it. I dont blame her. BC of CV19 my hair was 4 months overgrown. She took her time without taking to long. She nailed it first go.Highest recommendation to Cliffs and Candis specifically. Ill be back soon!

So we (me and my mom and brother) walked in and no one greeted us properly. We sat down and immediately felt uncomfortable. The barber closest to me was giving me dirty looks as I was the only colored person in the establishment. We waited for at least 15 minutes and this man walks in. He waits for like 5 minutes and gets called to the chair. He put him before us when we were waiting

My 4 boys and I have been getting our hair cut here for 6 years. The service is outstanding. You get an excellent haircut no matter whose chair you sit in. James and Garrett run a top quality barber shop.

They do a great job there,but does anyone know if they do appointments? I called, they first asked who I wanted a appointment with and then told those barbers didnt take appointments.

Great place, all the other reviews already said enough. Price is now 14 instead of 12, still a great deal just a heads up so you dont accidentally under tip by 2 bucks.

Exceptional barber shop with well trained staff and extremely friendly and courteous. Old fashioned style barber shop with extremely reasonable prices. This is the only barber shop I know of that still provides old fashioned simple convenient reliable service always. Cant say enough about Cliffs Barber Shop, you really must visit it to experience and guarantee you will become a long time patron.

Awesome classic place. I enjoy the homey service and friendly people who work there. I get consistant hair cut every time I go there. Prices are awesome but I wish we can pay with plaastic instead of cash. But either way I love it there and will continue to cut my hair at Cliffs.

I rated this place a 1 star establishment because they didnt have a zero. Ive never seen anyone as annoying and rude as Annette. The entire time she was ruining my hair she was popping gum in my ears. I finally had to get up whether my haircut was finished or not(and it wasnt) and leave. Not only did she ruin my hair she made rude remarks and told me that she was tired and hungry (after telling me what an abundant lunch she had) so I got up before she did further damage to my hair. She was sloppy, arrogant, and proud of it. Its not easy getting a good haircut these days but you live and learn. Oh well rant over. Just didnt want anyone to be subjected to this lady. The shop may have decent employees but Annette is not one of them.

They are great with kids and very patient. Old fashioned neck shave with reasonable prices. I just happened to be in the area, but I will be bringing my business back there.
