I deliver pizzas as Im a medically retired army veteran but my service to my country and my hard earned government military retiree Id card is not good enough to enter this community. Or my concealed weapons permit. No the only way I can gain entry to perform my job is to provide a complete stranger with my height, weight, eye color, hair color, date of birth, address full legal name also better know as drivers license and to top it off I have to allow the stranger to take a picture of my drivers license as well hey now a complete stranger has everything he needs to rent a car online in my name and pick it up after hours from a drop box then steal the car and its all on me now. The point is to verify my identity not collect my personal info a simple call to home owner to verify Im supposed to be there and any valid Id should be sufficient not to mention Im in uniform and have delivery stuff on my vehicle.

My mother in law hosted my Bridal Shower here and it was sooooo adorable and super classy. The staff went above and beyond to welcome us and I loved the room with a great view of the green and lake.

We had my mother in laws 80th birthday party here. Was a very nice venue, the food was great. Staff was excellent. All around great experience.

I had my wedding reception here last year and while it turned out to be a beautiful day, I was not overall satisfied with Deerwood. I will start by saying the venue itself looks very nice and the view out of the ballroom windows is perfect for a wedding. The pastry chef, Joanne, was very easy to work with and the cake was absolutely delicious, and the food was also very good. The events coordinator Denise, however, was not easy to work with during the planning process. She was not good at communicating, gave us false information on multiple occasions, she was very disorganized and would not always answer my questions. I have since heard from others that they too had a bad experience working with her. We were also disappointed to find that the top layer of our cake had been tossed into a box, unwrapped, and had been smashed against the box and when I said something, I was met with a rude response. I would not recommend having a wedding at this location, at least not while Denise is the events coordinator. I have given a 2 star rating due to Joanne, the quality of the cake, and the view. Also, the wait staff day-of was competent. Florence, in particular, was very helpful and attended to our every need.

Golf course is in great condition and lunch was absolutely superb

I have been to 2 luncheons here lately and both have been great food and a great venue.

$92 dollars to play with greens that were unplayable! Told our friend the member we wont be back! Friend ask for a discount Sales Associate says you dont have to play!

The food was delicious.

I went to the clubhouse to get lunch with my friends. While walking up I found a dog that ran away. I bring it to the clubhouse and they tell me to take it to security. I said no, I’m getting lunch with my friends. I did enough by chasing this big black lab down and they can’t have security get it? They told me there’s nothing they can do and for me to just figure it out. Unbelievable. I had to sit there with the dog for 45 minutes until the owner’s son came to get it. I’m not a member and I was there to see friends. Just really disappointing service.

Good local country club that is centrally located in Jacksonville. I have never played golf here, but Ive attended numerous events at the clubhouse and it accommodates 50 to 200+ people well. Love the back patio overlooking the golf course.

I attend monthly meetings at the lovely club house. The food and service are excellent. You cant beat the view of the golf course. Its just beautiful.

Underrated course. Always a challenge, but fun.

The non-profit organization that I work for recently held its first annual benefit golf tournament at Deerwood Country Club. The clubhouse and pro-shop facilities, including the Lakeview banquet room, are incredibly spacious, elegant and functional. The golf course itself is well-manicured and pristine. Even with that in mind, Deerwood’s best asset is Tim Cooper (Head Pro) and the golf club staff.Planning a successful golf tournament can be a complicated, technical endeavor, especially if you’ve never done it before. Tim, Denise, and everyone we encountered at Deerwood went out of their way to accommodate us in every regard. Holding our hand through the entire process, Tim and his staff were extremely professional, ensuring that our first tournament ran smoothly and without blunder.

Great golfing community. Security on site 24 hours. Great club house and Tennis courts.

Beautiful venue for the company Christmas party however guard at the gate was very creepy when taking my information for visiting. Started taking about Hitler and kept adjusting himself right in front of my car and wouldnt lift the gate until I got forceful about being late. Was not a pleasant experience
