If I could give negative stars I would. The Law Offices of Sacks & Sacks is really good at faking it until you sign a contract . Melanie Sacks was my lawyer. When I first met her I had already seen other lawyers that I did not feel comfortable with putting my trust in. So when I met Melanie I thought she’s nice, honest and she’s from New York like me so I immediately felt comfortable and confident that she would be the perfect fit for my case . Once I signed everything and started paying her she became a completely different person . She’s just nasty, rude, and unprofessional. I went through a rough patch when I had to move out of my parents house and before that I called her office and spoke with Dorothy and asked her if I could push my monthly payment out to the following week just to give myself some time to catch up after moving for the first time. Dorothy told me that was fine and that she would have Melanie reach out to me if there was any issues with that . I never heard from them so I thought okay that means there’s no issues as those were Dorothy’s words . Then I get a call from Melanie with her yelling at me and telling me I better give her ‘ HER’ money or she is going to report me and destroy my whole bankruptcy case . She told me that it’s not her problem that I can’t pay . I begged her not to destroy my case as I really need this bankruptcy case to move to the next step in my life debt free . She got so vulgar that I had to pass the phone off to my sister because I was just to upset to let someone as ignorant as her bring me 100 steps back and down to her level . She claims she cares but all she wants is money . If you are looking for a lawyer who actually cares she is not one of them .** update : Melanie just contacted me in reference to the review I wrote above . She accused me of being “harsh” and “ defamatory” . Most likely she is trying to scare me into taking this review down . I will not because others need to know the truth.

Filed bankruptcy, The person, MELANIE, gives the sweet story, wants to help. Sign the contract& she is a completely different beast. Nothing is timely, nothing as promised! She is just not to be trusted. I would not use her for anything. All she does is complain& take your money.
