People who are managing this property are doing a horrible job. They do not answer the phone or return voicemails or texts. There is never anyone in the office during business hours. Ive been billed 2 months after I moved out and notified them that I was leaving the storage unit. Not sure what drugs the management is on but its not good. Rent somewhere else if you are wise. There are far better options at similar prices in Jacksonville. Beware!!!! Better Business bureau will be contacted if I do not hear from or owners
I have had an air conditioned storage unit with Monument Mini Storage for years. They use to send me a paper statement by mail. For the last few years they have not done that, but charge one of my credit cards for the monthly rent. I noticed 3 days ago, my card has not been charged for the last 3, now 4 months.YOU HAVE NOT CONTACTED ME, WHAT IS GOING ON? THIS CONCERNS ME A GREAT DEAL, AND IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO REACH ANYONE BY PHONE. I HAVE TRIED 5 TIMES. PLEASE CONTACT ME ASAP.THIS IS THE ONLY WAY TO LEAVE A MESSAGE ON YOUR WEBSITE. I LEFT A TEXT MESSAGE.
I would give this place a zero star if it was possible. You cannot ever get them on the phone. The place is junky looking. I’ve taken my equipment out of there for two months now contacted them three times letting them know to cancel and I’m still being charged and cannot get this resolved
Id like to speak to the OWNERS not the live on property people who run it. When we first rented a unit, it took 30 minutes to get someone in the office, during open hours, after I banged on doors, yelled out and made many calls. I could have ran off with everything in that office in that time. The man said he was in the restroom. (Doing what???!!!) Now its time to make payment and no one is around. Its time to kick them out the room attached to the office-where they live and put someone else who needs a job.
I’ve been trying to get a hold of Monument Mini Storage for weeks to schedule a time to meet there to help open our unit. I’ve recently retired from the military and have had the unit since 2013; after moving multiple times we lost the key and requested the lock be cut once my wife flew back to Florida to inventory the unit. Finally received an email back from Darryl saying it would be no problem to help us out. The phone calls/emails/texts continued to be made to schedule a time for the weekend my wife would be back in JAX; no one answers their phone or replies back to their message service to make this happen. Now my wife is back in Florida; she showed up this morning 5/8 at their advertised hours of operation for Saturday (8-12) and NO ONE is there! She called, I called from here in San Diego and NO ONE was there! Not a very professional way to treat customers. Now my wife has flown all the way to Florida, stopped by Monument Storage to get access to our unit where Darryl said it would be “ no problem” and there isn’t a soul there during their posted hours! 30 minutes later, multiple calls, knocking on the door and texting their number as stated on their voice mail for more “prompt” replies, she had to finally leave. Thanks a lot Monument Mini Storage!
The customer service is wonderful! I never, ever worried about the things i had in storage. The payment process monthly is very simple and i appreciated the caring attitude of the office. Yall are great and I certainly recommend this place.
Im not one to use reviews in an attempt to communicate with a business but perhaps 1 star will get their attention?Ive been out of a storage unit nearly a month now. I notified them through voice mail (because no one answers the phone) and a text message the day of vacating the unit. Subsequently 2 more phones calls, another text and 2 emails requesting they update their records and theyre still attempting to bill me. Voicemail prompts encourage you to text for an even quicker response. Not so much.
Quite disappointed with my last visit. The property is not maintained as well as it once was and it is now over crowded with large vehicles stored on parameter of enclosed exterior.
Absolutely the worst storage facility in town. Good luck trying to get someone on the phone. Do not use this place
Im trying to cancel my unit that I moved out of over 2 weeks ago. Still being charged. Have been calling, leaving voice mails, and texting with no response. My next step is to call my bank and stop payment. I have no other way of closing out my account. Its ridiculous.
Management explained that internet was down and was unable to credit payment in a timely manner. I was able to go in person and meet the management, Nice lady thank you
Had a storeroom here for years. Location is very convenient for us. It always seems like its full, but they dont ever put any money back in to the business. Its looking more run down every year. Had to dodge an old mattress and a couch just sitting there. Some rooms are open and trashed. Kinda gross... Probably will start calling around for another place before our annual renewal.
I cant get anyone to the door, phone, e-mail, text messages ect dont know if anyone works in there or if it is running itself? Anyone out there having the same issue
Lady that manages the facility is always cleaning the office and the outside areas. Friendly, attentive. Staff wants to help the customer. Kim and I are long term customers.
If there was a way to give no stars I would do it. Rented a unit online on 5/22 per instructions posted on office door. Received confirmation of rental and card was charged. Tried to access unit on 5/23 and there was a lock on it. It was during office hours but no one was there and phone went to voicemail. Only response to the vm was to send a text to number provided as that was a better way to communicate. Did that immediately on 5/23 and have yet to receive a response. Multiple text messages have gone unanswered as well as an email. Had to rent a unit from another facility, Atlantic Self Storage, which I would highly recommend. Do not use Monument Mini Storage!
I am not one to write reviews but my experience has been horrible and now I am stuck in this unit until I sell my house. No one ever answers the phone! Doesnt matter if you text, call or follow any directions on the website they just dont respond. I rented a unit on line and when I got there, the unit was unlocked but full of stuff. The manager gave me another unit, and supposedly transferred the money from the one unit to the other, however, they started sending me notices that I had not paid. I have called, texted, and left messages with no responses. If I could give 0 stars I would. I am not certain who owns this storage company, but I am trying to find out as it is not being managed well AT ALL !!! Some one needs to pay attention to what is happening at this facility.So i have tried calling, leaving messages and texting. Now they have taken my credit money they owed me and applied it to a lock out fee for a unit they have already been paid for. I have repeatedly requested they have the owner call me to get this straight, again, no response, no customer service. NOTHING!! I want my money applied to the correct unit and my credit put back. I am not certain how to get the owners attention, but something needs to be done. They do not answer the phone, the office is always closed. This is ridiculous to have a business this poorly run.In fairness, since I shared my review about all that happened, I want to also share that I drove over to the business today, and was able to speak with one of the resident managers. She apologized and advised that she had been out of the office since Friday of last week. She was able to fix the system issue and confirmed that I will have no problems going forward.7/21/21- What a horrible experience this has been. I would really like to talk to the owners of the property as the live in management team is Non- responsive, have no customer service skills, and the property has trash and junk up and down most corridors. I started preparing for my move out one month ago. I came to the property every Saturday for one month, to try and discuss what paperwork and/or process I needed to follow, however, this office is never opened on Saturdays. I called religiously for one month trying to get a call back and to request one of the management team open the chain lock to the gate on aisle P, so my movers could get the truck in to move me out on 7/16/21. I never received a call back, so on the 16th, I knocked on all doors, no answer, I stood if front of the security cameras, trying to get their attention, to no avail. I also called and left a message begging them to come outside and do their job by opening the gate. Nothing!!!! No response. My movers had to maneuver the truck to the end of the aisle and in 89 degree weather, at 10am in the morning, had to walk the extra distance to load the truck. Ironically, 25 minutes after the movers and I left the property, I receive a phone call from a phone showing on caller ID as Darryl Shrader. The female who lives on site, asked me what she could help me with. Are you kidding me, I explained her lack of customer service, and of all attempts I made to proactively contact them. You could have helped me 1 hour ago when you saw me knocking on the office door/calling/trying to get the gate opened to unit P. She told me the office had not had internet for three weeks (not sure of the relevance of that statement), when the gate has a chain lock and requires manual movement. I brought up the office being closed all the time and she advised due to COVID and the size of the office, the office is closed. Well, given that I rented my unit in the midst of COVID, and have been in the office, that made absolutely no sense, not to mention, if you are closing your office permanently, put a sign on the door or at bare minimum, RETURN phone calls, or TEXT messages!!!!Good Luck to anyone who rents from Monument Mini Storage!!!!!

Owners never answer the door or phone. Key code never works. One of the owners kept promising a discount on monthly rates or free months due to an issue with one of our units. Do not rent from here if you can avoid it.

I witnessed the lady walk by the window a handful of times while I continued to call and text.. even knocked on the door in two separate attempts to make contact and she ignored me completely.If this is how they handle themselves with new clients imagine how she’ll handle you as a paying customer..

Just got set up with a storage unit from Monument Mini Storage and Daryl who is the one that runs the office made the whole transaction very simple and fast. I was unsure of the size unit I wanted so he gave me a list of units so I could see for myself. This being my first time acquiring a storage unit I had lots of questions and he answered and resolved any concerns I had. On top of that this storage unit had some of the lowest rates in the area from what Ive gathered. I was hesitant to visit this place based off previous reviews and Truth be told i have yet to spend much time as a customer here so we will see how things unravel but so far I cant imagine how the previous negative reviews hold true.

I have had several occasions were I’ve gone to the office several times a day trying to reach someone.If you call the voicemail is always full. Now they don’t even have voicemail. They use text only. I received a new card and wanted to pay in person. I could see the employees car out front of his living quarters. He or she just never wants to face the office. I got charged a late fee because my payment became late on top of all the gas and Time I spent trying to pay.
Like other reviews I too had a problem with trying to get them on the phone to make sure they knew i had moved my stuff out. I tried for four days to reach them and ended up making a 3 hour round trip from Daytona Beach to take care of it in person, of course the door was locked during business hours and when i finally talked to the woman there and asked if it was going to be taken care of I got an attitude from her. I would not rent there again!
There is NEVER anyone in the office. I called, left several messages and never received a call back. I was just trying to make a change on my account and needed to upgrade my unit. How anyone could give this place a 4 star rating is ridiculous. Do yourself a favor and rent somewhere else. It may cost a bit more but you will get the service.

This particular storage unit area is very clean and close to the Arlington & St johns bluff areas. The staff goes above & beyond for all your storage needs. The monthly price is reasonable and the property looks spectacular.Customer service is A+++ all the way around.
I absolutely would recommend Monument mini storage to everyone!! The owners are not only very respectful but very nice people! I have used them multiple times to store my belongings and have had a great experience every time! Theyre gated and clean as well as very affordable, which is almost impossible to find! 5 stars from us! 🙂
I havent even started renting a unit yet and the woman on the phone is doing everything she can to get me a unit in the next few hours because it wouldnt normally be ready until Wednesday. That alone is enough to get a 5 star out of me as it shows dedication to customer service.

Great location to store your stuff. Been here for 5 years. Two hurricanes and a few tropical storms but my stuff is still in great shape. Whole place built with cement blocks. STRONG
You can never get anyone on the phone and no matter how many messages you leave, no one calls back. You go to the office, the door is locked And this is during business hours and the “Will return” sign always says 2:45pm.

This is the second storage facility I have used in Jacksonville. In each case the residing managements daytime availability is limited; therefore, you are forced to drop a payment through the mail slot. Both facility managers were irritated when telephoned and questioned about the receipt of the rent. So you dont call them again. In Monuments case a payment was not recorded resulting in a delinquency notice. Proof of the payment was provided. No apology was received. I moved out.
This place is awesome I’ve been renting here for two years finally moving out the staff is great I would recommend them to anyone looking for storage.

Where do I even begin.... I am currently investigating them with detectives, the police, and an attorney because they dont know where my second key is although I let them have it in case I ever lost mine because they offered. In the current investigation we discovered that the lady at the front desk is not even employed there she is just shacking up with the owner. This woman has access to the office, keys, and units. When we asked for the companies name who manages them or security camera footage they refused to give it to us. It is unfortunate because I worked for everything I had in that unit and it is now gone. It was an inside job. Renters insurance isnt even offered. It is just a shady business all around. DO NOT STORE YOUR ITEMS HERE. If you must just be sure to NEVER give them the keys to your lock or even buy a lock from them, even if they recommend it.

The place is secure,clean and easily accessible..I would recommend this place to anyone looking for storage, best run facility I have ever rented from.
