So, I did not get my handbag repaired at Atkinson Shoe Repair, but only because Mr. Atkinson recommended another simple repair that I could do myself with some acrylic paint. That kind of honorable service does not happen too often. I did what was recommended and it worked perfectly.

Excellent craftsman. Customized two pairs of boots for me. Added zippers for easy on/off. Great work.

Carlos Santana over the speakers gives it a 60s air; super friendly - and knowledgeable! - guys make this an awesome (in my case) leather repair shop. My belt was done as promised - absolutely like new. Whats not to love about a place like this? Highly recommend!

Recently, sent a pair of navy blue driving shoes with a brass looking buckle with black ink in the inscription to be dyed for me that took 10 days because Charlie said he does that process twice, the dye has to settle. His wife dyed them again, clean the sole, fixed everything on the buckle and sent the shoes back in better condition than the date of purchase. Terrific price and excellent customer service care experience.My next project for Charlie is in the works which includes adjusting some designer belts. His close attention to detail is a testimony to their longevity in the Shoe and leather industry.I drive over one hour to see him in person so we dont try to fool ourselves. The team of people whom have designed the products wouldnt want to see a lopsided buckle and with his experience - Charlie Atkinson is worth the drive.This shoe & leather store was recommended by the Stylist Irene Scott at Nordstroms. Last year I said that I was having issues with my shoes next minute she sent a text saying that Atkinsons is the best. Yes they are. I took a pair of black shoes in to have them dyed blue and they did a fantastic job. The cobblers are pretty funny and jovial and I will definitely take all my shoe jobs to them again.

I took my Coach purse in to have the handles replaced and they did an excellent job. I couldnt be happier with the awesome job they did and the cost was very reasonable.

I had a very well used Dooney and Bourke bag that showed lots of wear on the leather edges, and looked quite tattered, but a favorite handbag of mine. I came here because it was next to Beach Hut Cafe (a weekend favorite!) Michael was careful to perfectly match the color of the leather stain, and made certain not to dye the stitching, so that when I went to pick my bag up a few days later, it literally looked brand new! I was very happy with his work, and service from this family owned business was excellent! Five stars!!!

I LOVE this place. They are so kind and hard working. I have a leg length discrepancy and bring all my shoes to get a orthopedic lift or to be widened. They always modify it if their is a problem and they are honest if they think a shoe isnt worth fixing. All business owners should be as good of people as these guys.

They did a good job, but not so good as to be about $25.00 higher than most of the competition.

While I didnt have the chance to visit, the manager I spoke with regarding a rush shoe shine request was very considerate and willing to accommodate same day service.

They always do amazing repairs! (And are really nice!) I think they can fix anything shoe or leather related. Ive never been able to stump them with a repair request. They also have all sorts of shoe maintenance items, and really beautiful handmade leather items including belts and jewelery. Im always happy to browse for a moment here.

Since moving to Jacksonville, I have looked for a shoe repair shop where there were true craftsmen. Atkinson Shoe Repair is such a place. I have now taken over seven pairs of shoes there and the quality of repair is outstanding. I just picked up a pair of black boots that look brand new. They refurbished my Louis Vuitton bag and it looks fantastic. Charley and all the employees are very helpful and they have not asked for payment in advance. My experience with Atkinson has been 100% positive.

Charlie is celebrating 50 years in the leather repair and shoe repair! Awesome work!🤗 I moved here to Jax in 2010, from Valdosta GA, and we rode Harleys, our leathers were always cleaned, treated, and even repaired by Charlie, if needed! It was always worth the drive to have him do this, hes amazingly talented with all leather! I highly recomebd gis shop for all leather needs!🤗

I would just like to say that the customer service is great, also the attention to detail on every part of my boots to make sure they are solid. I will definitely recommend anybody and everybody to atkinsons shoe repair because Im happy with mine and you cant go wrong with good hard work. They did an amazing job of repairing a pair of 20 year old boots. Customer service was excellent and work was done quickly. Would highly recommend as experts in leather.

I had a pair of shoes fixed, they replaced the elastic band on each shoe. They fixed it and polished my shoes as well. They did a good job.

Took in my pair of Allen Edmonds for repair work on wear and tear, looks brand new for half the price Allen Edmonds would charge me to mail them in for the same service

Horrible. They returned one vintage Fendi bag looking the same as when I dropped it off. And they stuck a huge label pin right through the leather on my vintage Gucci bag. Right through the leather. And then told me they couldnt repair the clasp anyway after theyd had it for 2 weeks. Awful.

This is THE place to take your shoes for repair!
