Planet Fitness was and is nice .Ive checked in on their progress since the pandemic but have not actually convinced myself to go back in and workout. But I always have great respect for them because they are a decently priced equal opportunity gym. They bring gym equipment and the opportunity to get healthy to all walks of life and all neighborhoods. I definitely recommend them for anyone.

From: A Highly Concerned Professional(Makes me so mad that I have to share this)After leaving my soon to be cancelled home gym at the I-55 North Jackson location this morning (because they weren’t open on time), I thought maybe the opener had an emergency, and decided to go to the Lake Harbor location even though it was out of my way. Disappointing this opener had the same issue, or there is seriously something wrong with corporates training program. Where does the loyalty for the members, customer, and consumers lay? I have to be at work before 7:00 am faithful, and because I value my job I wake up early to make sure I get a full workout in time, so I can be on time at my job. Do you think I was on time this morning due to this unfortunate experience? You’re absolutely RIGHT- I am on time. I had to sacrifice my fitness, lost time, and gas to make one of my commitments this morning. This shouldn’t have been the case! I feel sorry for all the members that had to experience this- I saw you waiting too! I don’t know what time I-55 finally opened, but I left Lake Harbor at 5:20 am and they still weren’t open! This is why my membership is cancelled! It would of been easier to swallow had it been one location ONLY, but two in the same morning FAILED a loyal members expectations. Just sad that there’s NO accountability in the corporate world anymore! Disappointed is not even enough to express my frustration right now. I had to give a star to post about their poor quality, non-communicating, unprofessional organization-TERRIBLE!

They have everything you need to get that body you want! 😍 Checking in is easy, sanitizer is provided for upon arrival. Its a no judgement zone. They offer massages (a massage bed), a tanning bed, a massage chair but this is for Black cards members...the prices or cheap $10 a month or $22 a month for the black card. I love being a black card member because it has perks on vacation rentals etc.... Check them out

Planet fitness is a great place to workout. The atmosphere is feels safe and you are able to stay focused on your own performance. The staff are kind and greet me whenever I come through the doors. Also, they are handing the COVID-19 pandemic extremely well and have place a number of strict rules in order to maintain social distancing and prevent surface contact spread. They have done an amazing job.

I been a member for a while now and I have yet to have a bad experience. The staff has always been nice and helpful.

The gym itself is clean and nice but the Wi-Fi is terrible or non existent half the time. I cant even stream music on the wifi during my workout, have to use cellular data, really false advertising.

I like PF because its well equipped, the atmosphere is pleasant and the staff is engaging and professional. I can even practice safe distancing now. So, to me, its even more cozy.

Great staff, prices, cleanliness, equipment maintenance, locker rooms, tanning, and of course hours. Having someone at the desk 24 hours is excellent. The judgment-free zone concept is outstanding. Cannot give it 5 stars because there are too many cardiovascular machines relative to free weights/weight machines. Resistance (strength) training is equally important to cardio training for a multitude of reasons. Other than this and 5 stars!

Pros:Planet Fitness has all of the equipment I need and more for my workout. I rarely have to wait to use equipment. All of the equipment is in good condition. If something is broken it is promptly fixed. The facility is very clean. The staff is friendly. The monthly rate is very good. Cons:Some of the music / videos that they play are suggestive and vulgar. A few members sometimes have loud conversations on their cellphones / headsets which is annoying.

08/31/20 The gym area is nice enough. nothing special. The mens locker/restroom areas are very dirty. They obviously havent been cleaned, at least not lately. Although there are few small signs posted, members use their cell phones in the gym area, and it proves very distracting and sometimes they are talking so loud it is rude. The work-out music is to loud and they play horrible selections. Whoever picks out the music should be fired!! Some members do NOT wipe down the machines after they are done with them - I have observed this often. There was only one person working there - no management and no one taking any action to correct the problems. Management needs to take some action!

My guest and I arrived late (around 9:15 p.m. We were meet with a friendly smile and an eagerness to serve us. Great customer service.

The variety of equipment, the quiet and comfortable atmosphere to name a few. I also like the convenient showers and changing rooms. I like that its easy and no hassle gym. You just scan your card and go, which is convenient. I also like the discounts that come with being a member. I like the fact planet fitness offers free personal and group training. Also, I like the bagel and pizza days that you offer to members. I like the massage chairs, and beds. I also like the fact that you offer gym merchandise. Overall, a good gym. My go to spot for my health and to destress.

Today I cancelled my membership because I felt that the I-55 Jackson location could have done a better job of taking care of me. My monthly payments were due on the 17th of every month. On Feb. 17th, there was an attempt to debt my account and the funds were not available. So on Feb. 24th, I logged in online and made a 100$ payment for which the Feb. 17th payment of 23.96$ was taken out leaving an overage on the account of about 77$. Then on March 1st, an annual due of 39$ was taken out of that remaining 77$ even though I havent yet come close to a year of membership. The pandemic caused them to close on March 17th which meant that I prepaid for the months of April and May but wouldnt get to use that time. I spoke with Ms. Dani after several weeks of trying to speak with a manager and she was very polite and respectful. She explained that because they opened back up on May 15th and that I was charged for May on May 17th that I could not be credited for that month though there were no notifications or advertisements sent out to let me know that they had reopened their doors. She stated I was never charged for April but for my annual fee and that I would owe a balance for the month of June. While I was very disappointed in the way that this situation was handled I just requested that the remaining funds be credited back to my account and that the membership be cancelled. At this point, Ms. Dani tried to see what she could do but I felt she shouldve tried that route before it got this far. Considering all thats happened and the fact that I have not been a member for a year yet and there was no use of the facility in the month of May I should not have been charged! Show some consideration and compassion for all thats going on. They just lost a faithful and loyal member! As for Ms. Dani, I do appreciate how polite she was.

Worst customer experience I’ve had at planet fitness. The manager Dani is very loud mouthed and she talks out of turn. She has at times told me there is nothing I can do about your problems and I definitely don’t like being yelled at.

Of all the Planet Fitness locations I have visited, this one is by far the best!! The staff members are ALWAYS friendly and greet you as soon as you walk in the door!! If I EVER have any questions, I never feel uncomfortable or as if I will be judged if I ask a staff member for help! Even the MANAGER has stepped in herself to demonstrate how to use certain machines!! The gym is kept in IMPECCABLE cleanliness and condition!! I will NEVER even consider a different gym!! Planet Fitness Jackson is the BEST gym in town and the BEST PLANET FITNESS!!!! Thank you to all the staff members for all you do to keep the gym clean and keep the members feeling welcome!!

Do not go to this gym. Understaffed and the gym was dirty! Oh and not to mention the rude manager named Dani that supposedly run the gym. She was rude to me about my account and RACIST. I witnessed the racism and overheard her talking to another guy about the black people working there and now they’re gone. Bathroom smelly and tv doesn’t work on treadmill. That lady does not know customer service and is very rude and RACIST. GO TO ANY PLANET FITNESS BUT THE ONE IN JACKSON off I-55

I moved here from Ohio and really missed PF!! When I got a gym membership to another establishment two years ago..it was because PF was new down here and the one I went to...I was pretty disappointed in.HOWEVER...this one is awesome. I was was happy that my other contract is up this month and didnt even wait..got a new membership here while I still had a month left on the old one.So close to our home in Fondren and so nice to see such a diverse clientele and staff!!!

I visited the Westland Plaza area once. Its ghetto. Hope they have security driving through parking lot...Probably wont see me going there ...Of all the places to build one...Why not somewhere downtown...There are so many vacant buildings. No places to workout here

A great gym to workout out at. Even in the peak times there is plenty of room. Early afternoon you might have the whole place with only a few others. Equipment is always kept clean and the staff are very friendly.

The price is right. The equipment is excellent. Open 24 hours a day. Its clean and I notice members clean the machines before and after their workouts. Staff is great and friendly. Temperature is just right for working out. Plenty of options to select from.. cardio or weights. Whats not to like.

Usually the staff is really nice, now there’s a new staff member that’s extremely rude and impolite so much to where it made me extremely uncomfortable. Couldn’t understand simple explanations and took her frustrations out on me by barking orders as if I was a staff member or something. Extremely disappointed in her behaviour. She should not be working here.

I love it there it was my first time and I had a blast. You can beat working out and tanning after words. I will most definitely keep coming back everyday and tell everyone about Planet Fitness ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Great workout.

Just stopped to tan. We walk in and go to sign in. theres something on the amenities screen so we stop to read before checking in. The girl behind the counter with a slight attitude asks if Im my fiances plus one, Im not I have a membership, i tell her no we are reading to make sure the tanning beds arent shut down. She rudely tells me I need to sign in first. Ive been a member for years, I know the drill. I was just trying to read before I checked in case I needed to go to a different location. She was very rude about us not having eye wear. She then went back to laughing and joking with some guy across the counter. Weve never had a good experience at this location. We left without doing anything. Ill be sticking with the ridgeland location.

Ive been going almost every weekday for the last 3 most. Since this is the 2nd gym Ive been in - I dont have much to compare it too.My experience:The first few weeks were great. Used the trainer and benefited greatly from it. Clean facility, and I think staff and members equally share in that. Staff is genuinely nice, and they are always helpful with any questions/concerns (except when it comes to that TBE machine- no one seems to know what it does.)Biggest con: NON PF TRAINERS -especially during peak hours. At least once a week I have to end my workouts early because trainers (sometimes multiple ones) are meeting with clients. Tuesday I had to wait to use the rowing/cable machine because this guy was training at least 3 women. They all met in the corner where he prepped them (securing neoprene waistbands), then they waited to be assigned tasks. Arent there signs discouraging training? I see people advertise on FB that they train people at PF, and its obvious what theyre doing. I honestly have no problem with it- my main issue is just when they take up space for no reason.... like standing around the apparatus I want to use.The place seems very secure. I often see security for the shopping center (or whatever it is) driving by.Parking space need to be updated/lines redrawn. People start parking crazy- making you park crazyIn all... I LOVE IT. Its like my mental getaway.Trainers - be knowledgeable of those waiting.Excuse errors
