Oh. Wow! This place is fantastic and Noah ROCKS as the most patient (and informative) instructor ever! Had a fabulous day learning about paddle rafting and Noah got this nervous Nellie down the river in one piece! So, so much fun! Great instruction--felt very safe and well prepared--lovely, lovely day on the water. Already scheduling my next trip with him. Do yourself a favor and do this! Absolutely fantastic!
Great inventory to buy or rent.Knowledgeable, friendly staff.A great place to gear up for your outdoor adventures. Also a great place to seek guided tours and kayaking, or stand up paddle board instruction.
Along with 7 of my friends, we did a three day, two night trip on Lake Jackson in Grand Teton National Park. Our experience was awesome. I can’t recommend our guides enough. Noah, Connor, and JT were incredible. If you do a trip with Rendezvous, make sure you get them. They are unbelievably hospitable, great conversationalists, above-and-beyond helpful, and frankly just cool. I wanted the trip to keep going on to continue to take in the amazing glory of the Tetons rising up against and reflecting on the lake…and also would have loved to keep hanging out with the three guides.
Happy to rent with these guys! Super helpful and great selection and availability. Friendly staff.
I called trying to purchase a dry bag. They had the bag, but no tag on it. The dude told me he was too busy to sell it to me right now, that hed have to like, find a box and figure it out. I told him my credit card was in hand and I just wanted to buy the bag. He told me he was too busy, and that I could email him an inquiry. He was too busy to take down my email address.Typical attitude from a bad gear shop. Im from Wyoming. Im a high-level whitewater boater and guide. And I will not ever buy from this dump. Back to NRS and convenient, accurate, online shopping.
Fantastic guides. Good equipment. Beautiful camp sites..
Very knowledgeable and friendly, wish every store was like this!
This was the perfect day! Connor our guide made it even better. Treat yourself to an adventure and a whole lot of fun! This is a great company and the river was absolutely beautiful! Luv Leena
They were super helpful in getting us into a kayak last minute. They even helped load and unload it off of our Jeep and strapped it down. Awesome customer service! Very friendly and the price was AWESOME!! $55 to rent a double kayak ALL DAY.. it came with life jackets and paddles also. 5 stars!!
Went for a private whitewater kayak trip with Conor K. he was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. We would absolutely return on our next trip to Jackson. They provide all the correct gear and have expert guides who are great for all skill levels. Also, their COVID precautions were top notch. Few allowed in store and masks for all guides and patrons in reasonable situations.
Noah was an awesome guide! We took a 2-hour kayaking trip and had a very fun and informative experience. We felt safe the whole time. Would recommend!
The staff was so friendly and took customers safety seriously! Everyone was wearing masks, only a few people were permitted inside at once, hand sanitizer was at the door - thank you for protecting your customers health!!
A group of us booked a river trip with Rendezvous had a great time in inflatable kayaks riding down the snake river! Andy is a fantastic guide! We were well looked after and he was fun to talk to on the drive back and forth. We highly recommend playing on the water with Rendezvous and requesting Andy as your guide! Good times!
These guys are amazing! We rented a raft and the price was great and the employees were very friendly and helpful.
Incredible service! Exceptional safety!
This is an amazing company. Everyone in the shop is super friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and helpful. I went whitewater kayaking with them, and the guides were spectacular. They are amazing at what they do, and I had a ton of fun going with them. They taught me more than I thought they would in a single afternoon. I highly recommend them for any type of water trip.
My family and I were looking for an opportunity to white water raft in the area of Grand Teton or Yellowstone. We had some experience rafting and did not want to be sitting in a raft with lots of other people with a guide having all the fun. Rendezvous rented us a great raft and gear, gave us clear directions and instructions for the river and charged us about 20% of the big group boats we saw putting in, rafting and taking out exactly where we did.
Took a ducky (inflatable kayak) trip down the canyon. It was a blast! Definitely a step above a the typical large group raft trip. Our guide, Carli, was beyond passionate about kayaking and did an excellent job guiding us beginners down the river.
Knowledgeable staff and great quality river rafting gear
We had an amazing Snake River trip with Sam. He was absolutely terrific with our two sons (who used Stand Up Paddle boards). Sam made is a memorable experience.
Aron and Will went above and beyond my expectations. I had my RV trailer hitch with a locking pin and no key, I couldnt take the trailer and boat but they personally delivered the raft to my campsite. Now thats good customer service. Thank you.
We had a guide named Ben and he was very patient and made it a good time! He was so fun we took two trips with him!!
Had the best kayak rental experience. I was by myself and had never been to the Grand Tetons. Will, Laura and Greta were a huge help, not only in informing me of places to kayak, but also giving me a fantastic tutorial on how to load and unload the kayak. I definitely recommend Rendezvous!!!!
Our guide was Conner. He was great. And we had a blast!
The girl behind the desk was lovely. She did a really good job handing out raffle tickets. Made my Rendezvous experience. #TTz
Instructional, whitewater, scenic river and lake trips. Rentals are also available for all non-motorized craft. Good place to gather information on the local rivers and get gear for good day on the water. This store has minimal fishing gear.
Brilliant all round there was 18 of us and everyone loved it we canoe down snake river
Rendezvous River Sports is a great place to book a guided whitewater kayak trip on the Snake River.Eric Space is an awesome paddling guide, he also is an instructor for learning to kayak.Great trip!
We rented our raft and some wet suits from here. They provided great service for a good price. Ill definitely be going there again.
These folks sell an accordian-fold map of the local river sections. They have info on shuttles. In the fall they sell most of their rental fleet at a good discount.
If you are going to raft or kayak this is the place! Lex is the best guide and an amazing instructor. Seriously, if you are going to go this is the outfit to utilize for the safest and best experience.
Taylor is an amazing guide. We had two 12 year old girls on a 3 day kayak trip. And he made it fun and exciting.
I drive from SLC to Rendezvous to get all my river gear. They have a great staff that really love rivers. They have great info on flows and optimal float trips for your abilities. The staff members at Rendezvous live to run rivers, they are truly subject matter experts.
This company was great! They really made my trip to Yellowstone great! Everyone was really nice and helpful!
Rendezvous River Sports is a great place for all your water needs in Wyoming. We went there as we were headed to the Grand Tetons for kayaking in String, Leigh and Jackson Lakes. We needed to get our inspection paperwork clear for our kayaks originating from Washington State. We went there after attempting to go the Wildlife, Game department, their staff was out in the field so we had to pick an alternative inspection site. The owner of Rendezvous River Sports personally came out to inspect our boats and was very particular about what we needed to do to clean our kayaks. He let us use his dry vacuum cleaner and had us wipe them out with a towel as well, he then ran his hands throughout the inside of the boat and we still found small items we had missed. He was meticulous and we are happy that he was. He is the first line of protection that is guarding the state of Wyoming from the invasive species. I am happy to see someone so dedicated to making sure the environment is safe. After a few minutes of cleaning our kayaks he gave us a clean inspection report and we then had to take that to a fly fishing store along the Moose Wilson Road heading towards the Grand Teton Park entrance and pay our fee there. In my opinion Rendezvous River Sports did all the work but got nothing in return. My point of telling you all this detail is that Rendezvous River Sports did not make a dime from this entire event. He was happy to share his knowledge and came out along with another employee to help us clean our kayaks. We thought they were perfect before we even got here, we had already that day gone through a checkpoint in Idaho and Montana and in both other areas they passed with flying colors, we do keep them very clean.Along with their diligence in protecting the environment they also have a fantastic water sports store that will have any and everything you need. This is the type of place that deserves business for all the right reasons. Way to go Rendezvous River Sports.
Helpful professional staff, willing to accommodate you.
Great shop. Employees are knowledgeable and passionate about river sports. Definitly the best kayaking/rafting store in Jackson.
I went here to rent a wetsuit to kayak the snake river. The guy that helped us was condescending and made comments about what I was wearing that convinced me to never return and patronize this business. In addition to not treating me with respect he gave me a wetsuit with a hole in part of the suit.
Cool shop with awesome staff
Just about everything you need for life on the river.
Staff was super helpful and knowledgeable and helped me repair the fiberglass on my surf board. You wont find another shop with as much kayak, sup, and surfing expertise as these guys.
My husband and I spent our honeymoon in Jackson. We own sit-on-top kayaks and were looking forward to trying some whitewater kayaking. We registered for the inflatable kayak (ducky) trip. Our guide, Brendan, was very knowledgable and explained everything in detail. On the first rapid, Brendan told us to go left to go through Double Draw rapid or right to avoid it. My husband and I decided to go through the rapid. Unfortunately, we hit the first wave perfectly but the second wave came at a different angle and flipped our kayak. We were both under but were able to swim out. Our guide got to us as quickly as he could and gave us instructions on how to get through the rapids. After we struggled through Double Draw, my husband tried to flip the raft, but he was too tired. We werent able to get back in the ducky before the next rapid, Haircut, started. We had to fight our way through the next rapid while trying to hold on to the oars and boats while feeling like we were drowning. Brendan was telling us that we were okay and had me hold onto his kayak to stay afloat. After this second rapid, the water was serene and Brendan towed us ashore. For the rest of the rapids, we were so afraid of flipping and too tired to paddle.I feel that saying that absolutely no previous river experience necessary for this trip is a stretch. However, the family with two younger children were fine since they avoided the rapids.I am so thankful that our guide was there and helped us throughout the trip. I am confident that he saved our lives. Overall a good trip, I just wish we hadnt flipped on the first rapid where there wasnt an eddie right after (like the rest of the rapids in this stretch).
So other than the young kid named driskel (or however you spell it) is not only a douchebag but is literally dumber than a bag of rocks. It took 4 employees to help us rent 4 wet suits and 3 pfds. They asked us like 5 times what we needed. They have no clue what they are doing. The only useful employee they have is the young kid. Ask for him if you have to go here to rent anything. Seriously. It was painful.Edit: i just noticed the other bad review was saying the young kid wasnt good. That was not our experience.
Awful experience. We stayed at the Jackson KOA, about 15 minutes south of town on the Snake river. We wanted to tube down the river to our campsite. We asked for guidance on if there were any hour-long trips. The guy (or rather, the kid) at Rendezvous told us to put in at Wilson. That seemed far, but I trusted him.It ended up being a four-hour trip. There were no places to pull out the tubes until shortly before our campsite. One of our friends has low blood sugar and nearly fell unconscious on the trip. When I told the guy at Rendezvous, he laughed and completely didnt care.Terrible experience. Would not recommend to anyone. Go somewhere else.
Awesome people here. Great trips!
Awesome shop, really helpful and friendly employees.
Picked up kayaks for rental. Great service and friendly staff!
We got our rental in matter of minutes, and all rentals are already registered and ready to go.
We bought our kayaks there. Knowledgeable staff & well stocked inventory.
Great guys with incredible knowledge
They have horrible customer service!!! They belittle the customer!!!!
