What a fun filled experience with our guide, OWEN. He was very knowledgeable, experienced, and had a great eye for wildlife. Some of the things I wouldve missed if Owen hadnt pointed them out...a mated pair of bald eagles, a juvenile bald eagle, 2 marmot, 2 beaver, and an osprey! This was within an hour and a half! He did a great job of gauging the groups level of confidence to allow us the rapids experience that best suited our team. P.S., my research showed this was also the most affordable trip, especially considering the years of experience all of their guides have to offer. Check out the wall behind the beverages if you dont believe me. Their stories will show you. From the front desk, to the driver, to every guide I met, the energy was through the roof. They came to give you the best experience, and also a safe one. Again, see the wall to see the safety experience/certifications. Also, the bus acts as your locker, so if you want to bring that bag of towels, your wallet and keys, they are kept safely in your seat or above and the driver doesnt leave to make sure all items are secure. You wont regret this decision!

Such a great trip with Jamie down the Snake River on the Classic Whitewater trip. We’ve whitewater rafted in several locations across the US and a few international and this is the safest we have felt. Many rafting companies do not take safety as seriously as they should. Everyone from the checkin staff, the bus driver Johnny and the guides made us feel safe and ensured we had a great time.We did wear wet suits and booties as the water is still quite cold this time of year.Know that you have a 30 min bus drive on both ends of the trip but you can safely leave items on the bus while you are on the trip. We took some snacks and water. Many people brought shoes to change into when you get back on the bus. I brought a tip so I could pull down the wet suit a bit. I would recommend some flip flops so you can get out of the booties.There is also about a quarter mile walk from the takeout point to the bus with an elevation. It’s not hard but good to know.

First time doing white water rafting and it was PHENOMENAL! Tim, our guide, was beyond great with our family - very knowledgeable, friendly, and made the experience a ton of fun for all of us.Would definitely recommend !And would love to book with them again.

Fabulous experience! They provided us with Wetsuits. Our bus driver BJ was very sweet and made the ride there and back easy. We had the pleasure of having Will as our river guide. He was AMAZING! He made us all comfortable, laugh and have the most amazing time. I had been whitewater rafting only one other time and had a very traumatic experience. Will absolutely reversed my fear. My kids say this was their favorite thing we did on our trip.

Literally so fun! Ian was the best and even though we had bad weather during the beginning, he made it fun and the whole time was in laughter. 10/10 recommend!

Our group of four took a float trip down the Snake River which was awesome!! Ali was our guide and her personality was perfect for that job!! She kept everyone engaged, and was quick to point out the wildlife along the river, including several bald eagles we saw along the way. If I ever make it back to Jackson Hole, I would definitely book another float trip and highly recommend Jackson Hole Whitewater...and Ali!

Did a great job helping us get a large group of all ages onto the river and having a great time. Enjoyed everything on the river but would recommend the guides not talk 100% of the time and not spend half the trip talking about everything thats ever gone wrong on the river over the last 50 years. While some of us have been on various rivers some were very nervous and werent able to relax due to all the scary stories that were told throughout the trip.

Had a great experience this year! We have been going for the past 3 years now. Our guide was Ian. Boy, was he something else. He talked about wildlife, the river on how dangerous it can be, and a little about his personal life. This made the float a real enjoyable experience. I would recommend 10/10. And I can’t forget to add, Lava Hot Springs, ID. Hahahahaha.

We LOVED our combo float and white water trip with Ali! She was so awesome, friendly, inclusive, educated about the river and the natural world. She made sure everyone had a turn up front and all around the boat and really knew the river! I trusted her the minute I met her. Our family of six, beginning at age 11, went whitewater rafting with Matt on June 6. Our first time rafting and this company is amazing! Every employee, from checking in, to wetsuit handouts, bus driver, whitewater guide, absolutely everyone is so nice and helpful. Most of our time was on the raft with Matt and he is wonderful! His instructions were clear, he talked about the town and the river and answered our questions. Two men in our float ended up getting tossed out. Matt quickly and easily retrieved them without leaving the boat. They knew what to do, to hang on, because of Matt’s instructions. Next time we are in Jackson Hole, this is the company we will choose to go whitewater rafting again. Because we definitely will go again!

Awesome rafting experience (family of 4, with 8 and 10 year olds in smaller raft). The company was responsive and accommodating. Our guide, Matt, was experienced and a lot of fun. Kids loved riding the bull!

We did the scenic float which was great. Our guide was Anna from Louisiana and she was wonderful! We saw 2 moose which Anna said shes never seen, a bald eagle, ducks, and pelicans. This was the perfect amount of time and we didnt get wet except for a few raindrops.Tips - you could wear regular clothes and shoes, no swimsuits needed. Definitely bring layers though - shorts, lightweight pants & jacket, tank top, long sleeved shirt, hat or visor. They have ponchos with hoods you can use and binoculars. You can also bring cameras and phones.You are sitting on inflatable baffles the entire time with no back support. We straddled the baffles and even laid down on them. It wasnt uncomfortable.Would love to do the whitewater tour with them. Definitely recommend doing this tour!

My teenage son picked this as our last activity on our trip before we headed home. We were NOT disappointed. Staff was super friendly and helpful when checking in. Clean facilities to change if needed. Tom was our river guide and he was amazing!!! He had tons of experience. Made us feel really safe. He pointed out wildlife and told funny stories. The scenery was beautiful. My son jumped out and floated alongside the boat at a point where the river was calm. Wet suits can be rented for a very reasonable price. Highly recommend!!

As Deaf person who uses American Sign Language, communication is important to me. The first visit was not cool. But after communicating with the staff members, my second visit was excellent filled with tons of communication and accessibility to the entire expeditions. Jeff (Another Deaf individual) and I enjoyed tremendously getting to know more about the Snake River. Charles and Danny were fantastic guides for both of us. Thanks!

My family and I had a fantastic time on our scenic float trip. Our guide Rosilyn was super cool, very nice and informative. We saw seven bald eagles and had great views of the Grand Tetons. I highly recommend going on a scenic float trip for anyone or family visiting the area.

Our guide,Tom, was awesome!! The trip was so beautiful and we must have seen 2 dozenbald eagles !! I would highly recommended this place for scenic rafting, maybe next time we will do white water rafting and have tom as our guide ! He really knows the river well and he has some really good stories !!

Good times and great guides! When we went we didnt rent any of their wet suit gear, we just brought/wore our rain jackets. We went the first week in August at a 830am ride. The water wasnt super cold, just chilly 60-65 degrees, and your not getting soaking wet like they market unless your in the front of the boat and try real hard or jump off and swim the slow mile like my kids did. This time of the year the river flow is pretty low. They will always ask your experience before just throwing you into the rapids due to our litigious country. The wet suit rentals may be good for high flow cold spring runoff but otherwise are a gimmick to get you to spend more money. Overall excellent service and great guides!

This is a great company - everyone is so nice - the whitewater rafting is super safe and fun. I have no complaints about that whatsoever. The reason for the low rating has to do with their Covid policy implementation unfortunately. On their website they say that anyone entering their building or riding on their bus is required to wear a mask. They sent an email saying the same and theyve got signs posted everywhere. But what they dont tell you - which is why Im posting this - is they dont enforce it. There was no social distancing inside the building even though there were markers on the floor. They did not require people to socially distance on the bus. And when I got on the bus 1/2 the people didnt even have masks. A speech about our safety was given but not once was wearing a mask mentioned. I emailed the office while we drove to the rafting launch site to inform them of it but nothing was done because after the trip on the way back to their main site no one except my family and three other people wore their masks. My family is from Connecticut close to NYC - weve all lost people there and we take this thing seriously. We wear our masks and socially distance - which is why were not spiking. I decided to bring my young kids on this trip based on the information shared with me. Had I known there would be no observance of it and we would be put in a full bus with people from all over the US, including red states, I would have not gone. Again, its a really fun activity and the people are all great - but its not fair to let people think youre going to make it really safe for them when youre not. Im a travel agent and one of the reasons for our trip was to show my clients and followers its safe to travel. This kind of thing makes me think not so much and I give Wyoming a few weeks before they shut down their parks again if it keeps up like this. I hope JHWW changes begins to enforce its policies because it really is a great company and Id love to recommend it going forward.

This was a great experience, taking my wife for the first time, and other family members including her parents who are in their late 70s. They did great, and my Father in Law even paddled the entire way. Our teenage kids had a blast, and it was a great way to fill the morning before a family reunion in the area later in the day. It wasnt too cold on the water, once we started after 9 am (for the 8:30 float). Our guide was awesome, and we would definitely use JHWW again.

My family recently took two different trips (rafting and float) and bother trips were thoroughly enjoyed. The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. I felt safety was their number one concern and fun a close second. And we definitely had fun!!We also left a jacket at their location and the staff was amazing and took the time to mail it back to us (we paid shipping).All in all an amazing trip with amazing people. Would definitely recommend to any family looking for a rafting trip.

It was a nice beautiful trip but they didnt let us sit down and eat our lunch all they cared about was getting their money for the next trip we wouldnt do it again because of that weve never been on a rafting trip where they did that I guess we shouldve picked a different place next time we will and the guide didnt talk loud enough so I couldnt hear a thing he said the whole time!

This was by far the best rafting trip I have done yet. The whitewater hit a 3 in late July 2017. Made for an excellent experience. And the guides are just awesome!

We went on the a.m scenic and p.m whitewater tour. The weather was crappy and rainy in the morning but still worth it.. I suggest to the owners to offer wet suits if its cold rain even for the scenic trips (this may have been an option if we asked but it would have been cool if offered or suggested). I felt like we needed them more then than on the white water section when the weather was sunny and warmer. Good guides, fun river and good prices!

I hear the Whitewater trip was great we took the scenic version they went by Billionaires row the houses and The View is unmatched with a backdrop of the Teton mountains. Recited 10 + Eagles that were stationed all along the way during our trip with some interesting birds that built their nests right in the side of the dirt embankment.

Me and my 8 year old daughter went on the Whitewater trip this past Wednesday. About 10 miles into to shuttle bus trip provided by Jackson Hole Whitewater the bus crashed into the side of the bridge in a construction zone. Thankfully no one was hurt, but definitely rattled the nerves of all the passengers as the entire passenger side of the bus was destroyed. We all waited on the bus on the side of the road for about an hour until another bus showed up and transferred everyone to the replacement bus. Other than a couple of apologies, nothing else was offered to make up for the near disaster. I hate to think what would have happened if one or more of the tires blew out in the impact causing the bus to roll over off of the bridge or into oncoming traffic. I was expecting at least a refund or credit of some sort on a future trip for the incident at the minimum. The rafting portion itself was good with our guide Charles.Along with the bus accident, my wife and younger daughter were booked on the 1:45pm(check-in at 1:15pm) scenic cruise and they called us at 12:15pm the same day saying my wife and daughter were the only ones booked on the trip so it would be cancelled. They asked if they could show up in 20 minutes at their sister company Barker Ewing for a similar scenic trip or book another day. While I understand they can cancel a trip, a little frustrating to be called less than an hour from their designated check-in time. A call first thing in the morning or the prior day would have been more professional in my opinion. They happened to have an older couple call to book the same trip while the receptionist was on the phone with me so after all was said and done, we got to keep the original time.

We had a whirlwind visit to Jackson and had the pleasure to go down the Snake River with our guide Reid, whose friendly demeanor, knowledgeable bits and good raft guidance made the ride so fun. The small, family owned business provided a chill and smooth experience. Ride the bull yall!!

It was really cold. You will have fun of you like the cold. My siblings dont like the cold so they did not like it. But my parents liked it.

I write this with a heavy heart.My whitewater trip was real great, even tho it was not really class 3, especially since its September. Big Kahuna did knock me off my feet tho.I had some great company in the boat (booked the small one), our guide Meritt was absolutely fantastic. Even the bus driver was great.The issue is, I was booked on combo: sunrise safari and whitewater. I got TWO e-mail confirmations. I was even assured, that they pick up for the trips. The safari company never received my reservation (I guess they operate separately). They do not pick up. Their busses were full and had no room for me. I checked out of my hotel at 6 AM and would I know ahead of time, Id just sleep in or chill at the pool. Or do a short hike?I get it, screw ups happen. I only get 5 days a year off and couldve used this half a day for something....anything....thanks, Heidi....

My husband and I took our grandchildren rafting with Jackson Hole Whitewater and they loved it!!. The youngest (6) took the scenic with me while the oldest (9) went Whitewater rafting with her grandfather. Both proclaimed it the best rafting they had ever done ! The front desk staff, the Bootie Boys, our Bus Driver, our guide, everyone!We did the whitewater trip with our 7 year old son and we had a wonderful time, our guide (Alex) went out of her way to make him feel welcome and involve him even though he wasnt paddling.They earned their 5 star review right here, but to put the cherry on top, like an idiot, I left my jacket at the shop and realized it clear down the road near Yellowstone. My wife contacted them and they shipped it to our house no problem. They didnt act like they were put out by the request nor were they demanding for payment up front, he just handled it, shipped it and asked us to settle up when we would. This kind of service is rare and I wanted to make sure they were recognized for both the great experience and going out of their way to help a customer with a mistake that was not theirs.They definitely earned a customer for life. Thank you guys once again!

Took a whitewater trip with JHW down the Snake river in one of their small boats. Not a challenging river, but the trip was a lot of fun and the guides were professional and friendly. We went on the first trip of the morning and they even provided a nice breakfast. Definitely a good way to have fun and see the beautiful Snake River Gorge

We had Carl for our scenic float, he was very knowledgeable of history and such of the river and area. Although the scenery was nice only a couple of animals cooperated. As for the white water expirence we had Tom and he was fun and fun of facts and knowledge. Our GoPro videos and pics came out awesome we had a fun time. Next time well plan during higher water for some bigger rapids. Overall much worth the ride to finish off our Boy Scout high adventure.

Rented a raft from these folks to take down Alpine Canyon. The staff was quick and friendly - they answered all of my questions about the current conditions of the rapids and got me in and out quickly, even though the place was packed!

My 17-year old daughter was stuck in a center seat the whole trip and did not get to paddle. On a boat with seven young children, they could not paddle in sync with the person in front which ruined the experience for those in back of them.
