This is the MOST unprofessional place to handle business with. You call and whenever they do answer, they transfer you to someone that put you on hold and never comes back to the phone. The attitudes in person arent the best. The 1 star is for having short lines.
Like Who works up there I wish we can upload pics... cause for the pass week I’ve been calling like 20x day and still calling haven’t received a call yet... like do you guys work? It’s working hours u chill at home... people need help put yourself in these people shoes.

As visits to the tax collector go, this could not have been more pleasant. All three ladies that helped us (mainly Keisha in the end) were exceedingly kind and helpful. They cant help the tax rates in Hinds County or the terrible roads, but they did a great job of making the process as painless as possible. Thanks!
Previous interactions with the staff here have been wonderful. Staff has been courteous, kind, and fast. Apparently, this level of service was only because I was giving them money.I received a Road and Bridge Privilege Tax and Registration Receipt in the mail. This receipt was not legible due to the printer problems they must have been having that day.I need a legible receipt for my job. I asked for a copy of the receipt and they wanted me to pay the full tag cost AGAIN. Their last offer was for me to pay for the cost of a decal, so that they could print out the receipt again.Keisha Jackson is a problem at this office. Everyone I spoke to was awesome and friendly. She was terrible. When I made it clear that I should not have to pay for anything, since the original receipt was not legible, she began yelling at me and told me to leave.
Ive always been treated with great professionalism, knowledge of their job requirements to help me as a customer, and punctuality no matter how busy it might be.
I’ve needed to call them only a few times, and each time I had a good customer service experience. Both friendly and helpful are the ways I would describe the lady on the phone.
The operator hung up on me twice, when I tried calling back 3 more times didn’t receive answer.
Go closer to closing time because the foot traffic is better
Service was great. Only 3 stars because they expect you to drive around with no tag for 10 days if you order a personalized tag. How smart. You have to keep getting pulled over to show a piece of paper

I called to see if I could price my license plate over the phone and the rep was so rude and unprofessional. She said WHAT!? I dont hear you...then proceeded to hang up in my face after only 10 seconds...she didnt even give me a chance to let her hear me more clearly.

The people were friendly. I wrote a check for my tag and the lady told me they would have to mail my tag to me and it would be 7 to 10 days. They could not even give me a tag applied for tag or anything to go on my car to let the law know that I had already purchased a tag so I would not get pulled over. The price of the tag was over $520 for a 2014 vehicle. I called another county close by and the price was $240. That is robbery if you ask me and then I have to wait two weeks to receive it. Today is day nine of working days and still have not recieved said tag. The two stars is only for the for the friendly and fast service received the morning of the purchase.Very disappointed in Hinds County.
It has really been hard trying to get a tag since the Pandemic. I sent in a money order I hope that works. Im unable to stand in the long lines.
The Tax Collector sends you a bill for the car tag on a post card that doesnt fit the regular business #10 envelope. How smart.
