Mavis of Ithaca was able to get my car in ASAP to resolve an issue with newly mounted tires done incorrectly by another shop out of town. Knowing i have a newborn and that safety is of top priority they made sure things where correctly taken care of quickly and properly. customer service was outstanding to say the least. will be returning there for future needs without hesitation.

I have been getting my car serviced at this Mavis location for a number of years and I am always satisfied with the customer service and work that has been done on my cars. Today I went in for an inspection and oil change and ended up having to purchase two new tires and replacing a broken lower control arm. The manager, Israel, was very polite and let me know exactly what the issues were and the repair was done in an efficient and timely manner. Will definitely keep coming back!

I blew out a rear tire and limped to the nearest tire store. Fortunately for me, it was Mavis. Israel, the manager, took control of the situation immediately and found replacement tires that he had quickly shipped in, arriving by noon the next day. The tires were an unusual size but he managed to locate them and get them quickly. The next day they qput them on the car as soon as they arrived and I was on my way. Israel and his colleague, Dustin, could not have been more competent, professional, expert and reassuring. I highly recommend Mavis in Ithaca, to all in need. Five stars.

The absolute best customer service, especially from Justin! They also run a clearly efficient, honest, and professional work system, with good prices. I called to make an appointment for a car inspection and already, on the phone, I could tell that this place had great employees. Israel was AWESOME today! We were visiting Ithaca and had our overheating car towed there at the direction of our insurance company. He squeezed us in on a very busy day and immediately diagnosed that the last place that serviced it had made big mistakes that lead to it overheating. Israel went above and beyond to show me exactly what the problem was and clean up somebody else’s mess so we could be safely on our way! Every employee who I heard speak to a customer or answer the phone was very pleasant. I live about an hour away but I’m tempted to drive here for service because they were that good.

I had my low engine coolant light come on a week ago and it kept flashing on and off So I took it into Mavis. They checked it out and told me there was a tiny malfunction but nothing wrong with my amount engine coolant but they topped it off anyway and gave it to me free of charge. Great place, and amazing service. I will definitely be going back.

Got a flat tire on my drive up to Ithaca from NYC, and came to Mavis to get a new tire. Was guaranteed that it would be completed in an hour and it ended up only taking 30 minutes. Was my first time here, and I was really happy with my experience overall. Everyone was super nice and accommodating and they even discarded my flat for me. Didnt overcharge or tell me I needed additional new tires, instead checked the other three tires and told me they were in great condition. Highly recommend you coming here if you need any fix for your car!

Just stopped in here after hours of trying to get our front wheels off. They got us in right away. We showed up frustrated and defeated but the shop got us in a great mood immediately with their friendliness and general positive attitude. They got our wheels off and explained to us how we may be able to do it ourself in the future with some better tools. Told us it was no charge and had us out in 20 minutes total. What a great experience from Justin and the rest of the guys. Very friendly, professional and pleasant! Great resource to have here in Ithaca!

We picked up a screw in the tire of our travel trailer while camping in Ithaca, took the tire off the camper and brought it here to see if it could be plugged. The service was over the top and far exceeded our expectations! They had the tire off the wheel patched and plugged and back in my hands faster than they could even process the paperwork to check me in. Took it out of the truck for me and put it back in. The service manager was prompt, professional and fun not to mention that fact that he was working right next to each of the guys in the shop. Getting his hands dirty. 5 star recommended no question. Mavis always is open and ready for me to drop off my car without a prior appointment and their prices are unbelievably generous to my wallet! They are quick to diagnose any issues and fix it well in record time. I was so happy with my service today that I actually wanted to cry: an issue that Ive been trying to fix in 2 other shops for weeks was fixed in 15 min and saved me hundreds of dollars. I love bringing my car to this garage because I know the staff wont try to upsell me on repairs I dont actually need at the time of service. Theyre fast and are always timely on communicating what fixes they may recommend and when your vehicle will be finished. Theyre also very reasonable on their labor rates, and will even go out of their way at times just to make sure youre satisfied.

I took my truck to Mavis Discount Tire because there was a slow leak in my tire. They found a nail and repaired it before I even made it back to my house! Theyre quick, professional, and friendly. Youd be mad to go anywhere else for your tire needs.

I’m traveling and my low pressure light came on caused by a nail in a tire. 450 miles from home any car issue is bad but needing a tire plugged is one of the better problems to have considering everything that could happen. I called Mavis tire and explained my issue and felt like I was being treated like a family member. Within an hour of my initial call I was fixed and ready to go when I was told that there was going to be no charge and to be safe in my travels home. I can’t explain how this made me and my family feel and it was a genuine gesture coming from a place of goodwill. Thank you so much and I wish all of you the best there.

Was here for a flat tire about 4-5 months ago and service was great and fast. Daughters car started leaking air about 4 wks ago and knew right where to take it. Justin was great and remembered me from last time. They had the car in, and up on the lift in no time. Had the nail out, and the tire patched, and I was done in less than an hour. No problems with the tire since.

WOW! Mavis Tire is open on Sunday! This was fantastic news for me when I discovered one of my tires was almost flat on of all days, a Sunday. These folks are AWESOME ~ our experience at Mavis Tire Ithaca has consistently been courteous treatment and professional service. Just last week I called, panicking at a slowly deflating tire. So they squeezed us in last minute, right before closing on a busy day, found the tire leak and patched it in under 20 minutes, and then actually didnt charge us anything (because it was a quick fix, they were having a good day, and theyre just cool like that) and sent us on our way with smiles and goodwill. This kind of friendly, honest, skillful service with a human touch is something that reminds me of the bygone era of service our grandparents probably all took for granted back in the day, but is something you dont see as much these days. HIGHLY recommended!

We had an exhaust issue on our 2001 VW Beetle. The service, parts and labor were professional and reasonably priced. Justin the front end guy worked both ends of the shop to get it completed in a timely manner. Outstanding, which is a rare descriptor of any repair shop but this one lived up to it.

Having car problems is one of the most stressful times. It’s hard to find honest repair shops, but we have finally found the right one. Justin takes the time to get to know his customers personally and bends over backwards to help and give them the best options and deals available. 5 stars every time.

Amazing customer service! I came in not knowing exactly what was wrong just that my tire was flat. There were several opportunities for them to take advantage of this and do the most expensive thing, but they did not. I say this because it has happened to me before (I am a college student who is clueless about cars). They found the problem very quick (15 minutes max) and fixed it right away and were extremely kind through the entire process. I definitely recommend!!

Super fast service for an emergency flat tire while on vacation. They are so great and friendly.

I got rear ended and my brakes were immediately affected along with some cosmetic damage. I didn’t feel safe on the road and Mavis was able to fit me in immediately on a Sunday! Justin remembers me every time (been bringing my car here for the last 3 years) and ALWAYS shows and explains what he finds. I honestly could not ask for a better experience. I’ve been going to Mavis since I bought my used vehicle from Maguire Honda. While Maguire was unprofessional, the mechanics were shady and condescending, the folks at Mavis were amazing. In every way. They communicated what was wrong and showed me (even if I didn’t request to see). They are honest, hard working and reliable people. I will keep coming back :)

I found myself with a flat tire when I came out of work. After getting the spare put on I was advised to go to Mavis on Elmira street to have the tire look at ( rather than drive home on it). That was the best advice! Justin spotted the nail in my tire and his assistant repaired it quickly and got me back safely on the road home. I was also given some important advice about my make of car ( a Subaru) which I really appreciated. Thank you Mavis Tire.

We were travelling out of state and stopped in Ithaca for the night. We woke up with a flat tire and called you all to help troubleshoot since we just got new tires at home 5 days ago. We also knew we had a different problem with the car but thought it was something that could last some more miles before causing us any trouble. I was so relieved that you all took time to check out the tire and also had parts on hand and could fit us in to fix the other problem. Fast service, kind and helpful employees. If I lived here, this would be my repair shop.

Spontaneously needed a new tire on Saturday. They were able to order it and put in on in the same afternoon. The staff was kind and knowledgeable, and I wouldnt go anywhere else in town!

Experience was terrible. Went in for a routine oil change with a little over 30000 miles on my car and I was approached by some one trying to sell me rear shocks. I laughed. Got home and they are perfectly fine. What a scam. I have heard it going on elsewhere also. So beware what you buy cause it probably isn’t needed. I for one am sending everyone I know elsewhere.

While I was downtown, I heard a hissing and found a barb stuck in my back tire. Mavis was the closest shop, so I ran in and asked if they could help me out. Justin came outside with me and plugged the tire right in the parking lot. Super nice guy. I was in and out in five minutes. Great customer service. Highly recommend.

Ive been coming here for years for various things I need done (oil changes, brake replacement, flat tire repair, etc), and the staff are always friendly, transparent and super helpful. I am always in and out and the prices are very reasonable. As long as I live in Ithaca, I will be coming here!

This was the worst experience I have ever had with any tire dealer I have ever been to. I was disgusted by the customer service and the smart a** attitude that was portrayed by the check in desk. Whoever this individual was working at 11:30 on Wednesday, May 5th needs to be fired. Not only was he rude and condescending, but he made it clear that he did not know what he was talking about. He attempted to justify the price of the tires by comparing them to a totally different vehicle and size. He then explained that if the call center does not send the price quote to the desk then he can not do anything about it. We asked him kindly to contact Glenn from the call center but he abruptly refused and shouted thats not my job. Do not go anywhere near this location unless you want to be ripped off by the insane margins and installation fees on their tires. An absolute joke of a business.

Brought my car to have the rotors and brake pads replaced in August 2020. Less than one year and not even 15k miles later I needed to have the rear rotors and pads replaced again. I brought back to Mavis and still had to pay $300 dollars to have them replaced even though pads and rotors should have lasted significantly longer than they did. Obviously I feel ripped off and do not recommend this place.

Well I have to say Im very pleased with the service of this shop, called to see if they had an open appointment and my tires in stock, which they did, but the price was way over what I wanted to spend. Had an appointment at a competitor but found out the website was wrong on inventory so I needed something fast. I explained my situation and they were able to work out a amazing deal with me.
