Im not sure why the reviews are so bad. It could be the Postmaster there. I did not find him to be polite or helpful at all when I had a mail delivery problem with my PO Box there in 2020. However, all of the staff is nice and very helpful - especially Karen! So, a bad manager doesnt necessarily always mean a bad (government) agency or business.

Stopped delivering my packages saying “full” or “attempted to deliver” or “item oversized”. We have an amazon hub locker that can hold big diaper boxes and even other larger items so “item oversized” doesn’t make any sense. Never attends to come up and leave packages like rest of the shipping carriers do. Amazon delivery through USPS is horrible and I wish I didn’t have to go through this service at all.

The place was clean. Line was short (2-3 people in front of me.) Staff was courteous, patient, and helpful. They said hello to everyone. The gentleman who helped me recommended the rate option to that suited my need the most (speed vs price.)Prior to the visit, I read all the bad reviews but went anyway. I am glad I did. And I want to post this review to help keep the good spirit of the staff up. If you think about it, they are standing there all day helping people who are sometimes negligent, unprepared, or simply rude to them. All of this for a relatively low compensation. Walk in with that perspective, youd appreciate them more.

Ive been in line for a half hour.Update: today I went in and was again reminded how unduly rude these post workers are to not only myself but the gentleman to the left of me.They also have a Candidate’s campaign sticker on their front door. Political views aside, I don’t think the USPS (a branch of federal government) should be endorsing a presidential candidate. I am fairly sure the Hatch act prohibits this.

I sent Priority International package 6-10 business days delivery time with tracking and insurance. As of today, July 29, 2020, the package has not arrived. Package had tracking number CH101175108US. I attempted to call USPS, there is an automated system with no life representative. Could not get any life representative assistance. DO NOT buy any insurance because to make a claim they will ask you to provide various proofs, such as purchase receipts. USPS is not a reputable package shipper. Use some other company such as UPS, DHS or FedEx. The package is lost and I can get any response. Paid insurance and cannot process my claim because I need to find some receipts to show them value of the articles sent.

Standing in line waiting for assistance, I couldnt help but overhear other patrons who had serious problems with the mail services. The staff behind the counter had some special feelings of not my fault, not my problem, etc. These pronouncements served to antagonize the customer and make those of us waiting for our turn break out into a sweat. The worst part was when the counter person said to the customer again and again, Its not my fault, then followed that with Well, lets just see what happens. As if only by magic unicorn and fair weather winds a delivery could be assured. Nice. And scary.May the new postmaster enjoy great success at reforming the system and perhaps suggesting a wee bit of customer care, concern, and employee ownership of problems as well as seeking solutions. I am sure it can only get better, right?

AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE! I had a package that the sender forgot to put my apartment number on the address. I called the Issaquah Post Office and got a gentleman whos name I didnt catch. He was very helpful in checking to see if the package had gone out for delivery yet and he even called the carrier to give her my correct apartment number for the package. These days, with Amazon being so bad at dependable delivery, its nice to know that ordering from other sites that use USPS instead of Amazon carriers can give you a little more piece of mind. Our Issaquah Post Office just earned my trust, big time. I wish I had gotten the name of the guy who had helped me so I could thank him by name. I would never have expected them to go through the trouble, as busy as they are, to contact the driver and tell them my correct apartment number so my package didnt get delivered incorrectly. Truly awesome level of service!

I was in line behind a customer asking to speak with a supervisor- that shouldve given me a clue as to the friendliness of the staff. I was then called up by the next available attendant. I asked what my options for shipping a package were. The attendant spoke very softly and had an accent so I was having a hard time hearing/understanding. The prices and options popped up on the screen so I read those as the attendant was speaking so I could better understand, but what I was hearing wasnt lining up with what was on the screen. So I asked about one of the options on the screen and she replied in an annoyed and stern tone thats not what I said! I was polite and just verified what the screen was saying for all of the options. She was obviously aggravated, but you could see she was attempting to remain calm. Overall, I wouldnt recommend going here if you need to interact with the staff.

Dont expect to reach anyone by phone. As mentioned by others on here their line rings once before going straight to a message along the lines of your part is unavailable and if youd like to reach the receptionist to then hit 0.Only to hear the same message repeated. The staff themselves, from what Ive seen, are pretty close to the definition of disgruntled postal workers. Theyre not exactly the cheeriest. Or most helpful. Or honest. Or polite. Theyll also lie to your face about the phone working despite what I already mentioned. The drivers based out of this post office are also pretty hit or miss. Dont be surprised if they leave a slip in your mailbox about having missed you, despite no knocks on your door when youve worked from home all day. Seriously, you can be expecting a package, watch the truck drive past, then check your mailbox only to find a note of how they tried and missed you. Also dont be surprised if they go a different route and instead fraudulently log that youve signed for your package before leaving a box worth a couple hundred on your doorstep. At this point, when Ive the option, I either try to get items shipped by one of the non-government organizations or to my place of work.

After waiting for 20 minutes to talk to the supervisor, he asked for my address, phone number and said he will call me if the letter showed up. Im still waiting... 3 weeks ago, same think, fortunately, this time my paycheck showed, 4 days later... Same problem now, two days had passed already, nothing. The funny part is that the manager will just ask for your info and look at you smiling and say, I will call three times this happened already, NOT A SINGLE TIME has the manager called me. He should be replaced asap for someone that actually appreciate to have a job. That smug smile on the supervisor, like thinking sure! Ill call you. Again, that guy should loose is job and someone that actually cares should replace him.

I asked him about a hold system and he keep saying that some one is on it so the phones works. I believe that he was too stupid to understand what I was talking about or just doesnt care. If the post master cant figure out their phones he can not do the job. Also, I asked about my package that was deemed undeliverable and he kept cutting me off and talking over me. I did get a little short with him in the end but he was a jerk to start with. I also called about keys being installed on a out going mail box that we installed. He did not have any information what so ever saying that it is not his job and he cant check any thing. Wow great customer support I can see why this post office gets a 2.2 on yelp. Way to go guys! My package was scheduled to deliver on July 25, but never got delivered. When I checked with the post office on July 27 with the tracking number, the staff told me he would check on the package and gave me a follow up call on July 29. He did not call in the morning, so I went to the post office in the afternoon to find out what happened to my package. Another staff who seemed completely disinterested in his work told me that the person that I asked for was not available at the time, so I left a written message for him to call me back. I called him a couple of hours later and he said he didnt get any message from the other guy, and he seemed to have forgotten about my inquiry on July 27. He asked me to give him all the information that I had already given him on July 27, including the tracking number, my address and phone numbers, etc. Then he put me on hold for about 15 minutes to locate where the package was. Finally he found where the package was headed for. IT WAS BEING SHIPPED BACK TO THE SENDER! He advised that I could communicate with the sender to have the package resent back to me! He said there was nothing he could do at that point. What kind of postal service is this? Its very annoying to deal with people who are so uninterested in their work and who have no care about customer service and professionalism.

They barely recognize your touch, they are slow and with all the people waiting inline behind you obviously frustrated you are taking so long, it turns into a pretty stressful experience. The only reason I gave two stars is because one day I was in there recently and one lady, an African American woman pulled me out of line because I had a priority envelope all sealed and ready to go and asked me if I was paying with credit or debit and I confirmed. She pulled me over to a side window and I was in and out in a few minutes once she helped me! Personally I think those kiosks should be for priority or express or stamps only! No funky do it at home boxes you have to measure etc. The purpose of a kiosk is to speed up the lines, but those machines are dreadful enough on their own.

Have had a large number of packages and letters not delivered or misdelivered by this post office since moving to Issaquah. We dont ever have anything shipped by USPS unless we have no choice, because there is very little confidence in the items actually being delivered to us.The problem is, the most important documents and items are always delivered by USPS by default, because you are supposed to be able to rely on them. There is a house in the same general area as us with a similar address, that our route driver has misdelivered mail for to our mailbox many times. Weve always brought this houses mail to them or placed it in the outgoing box. I assume when our packages go missing, they are ending up at this house, and they havent seemed to have wanted to bother returning the favor. The managers here act either incredibly uninterested or exasperated to help in any way when I have brought this up.The worst items that we had misdelivered to someone elses house (who never returned them to us), were our US PASSPORTS (!!), and debit cards tied to our checking account. We didnt know that we were even supposed to be getting new cards until ours stopped working, we called in, and found out they sent new ones months ago. So they were out there potentially in someone elses hands the whole time. And its nice to know that someone also probably has our now voided passports sitting around somewhere.I recently visited to set up Informed Delivery (because of course the online system didnt work for my address...), so I could actually see what mail Im not getting delivered that day (would have been nice for the two above items), and they had a technical issue with their system. I waited for upwards of 25 mins without complaining or losing my patience, was very polite the entire visit, but the postmaster acted like it was a massive burden to help me, passive aggressively mumbling to himself and sighing the whole time.On the positive side, the cashiers are generally very friendly, as was the guy who handles passport interviews.July 2019 Update:This post office continues to misdeliver mail intended for us, including most recently, important mortgage and insurance documents, including refunded overpayment checks totaling thousands of dollars that we received notice that were about to expire and we were about to lose the ability to claim (since we had no idea they existed due to not ever receiving the original letters.)Who knows what we havent received that we are unaware of.

Our experience gos beyond the office of cranky, unhelpful and uninformed workers that reside there. Our postal delivery person who had to have witnessed the mail strewn up and down the streets that he travels EVERY DAY did nothing to inform the public or even the PO office. Is there no risk management department that governs our postal delivery service. What does the Post Master suggest is an appropriate response to the countless people affected by mail theft in the last month. And then to have to deal with such unhelpful people at the PO. It would take a full page take you through the absolute disfunction and agony that has transpired in the last month due to plain ignorance and apathy. And what an opportunity missed to provide the community with a level of service not only that the tax payers deserve, but a level of engagement that could reflect a true effort to improve a community service and taking pride in the job.

So after having numerous complaints about having missing mail, and having other peoples mail in my box and vice versa.... today I came to my mailbox (which is shard with everyone within our plaza) to find out the whole panel was open and not only was my mail exposed for anyone who drove by or walked by, but so was everyone elses mail ! So confidential medical records for our patients and were exposed to the seattle weather. Hope no ones mail got stollen or went missing as I dont even know if im missing mail... this is just sad.

Very bad customer service at the counter. Got notified from my vendor, undelivered address...??? Missing mails. My neighbors mails come to my mailbox. Issaquah is the WORST postal service I have experienced.

Always add time on to expected deliveries, I never get anything on time when USPS is the carrier. FedEx Smartpost here is wildly unreliable (I have not once received one of these on time). Want to go inside? Expect a line that will make you want to go postal. This place is a disaster.

-misdelivered mail, always getting neighbors mail-packages gone missing-says delivery attempt, but no one ever knocked (we live in a small condo and was home during time of delivery)-packages locked up in parcel locker but not given the key to unlock-damaged packages-ATROCIOUS customer service from guy who answers phone (long slow drawl, doesnt pay attention to what youre saying, continuously asks you to repeat details and gives nonsensical responses, zero apologies or even effort to solve your problem)-phone is never answered-phone has been left on forward to voicemail (!!!!!!)

Please Trump shut down USPS. These jokers dont deliver packages because (as per one of the very rude ladies in in the office) they are too busy to deliver packages to my apartment.

Mail and packages misplaced many times. Delivery many times not done even when we are home, then get a notification or not for attempted delivery, would not give even one star.

We marked a package fragile and the employee just threw the box over her shoulder right in front of us!. The manager said thats how we do it, and thats why you should buy insurance

How come no one answers the phone from this post office? Almost every time I call?
