I was referred here by a company and within a couple of weeks I was working with the said company. I was relocating to the state of Texas and cornerstone made accommodations every step of the way. Leigh letterman is the best and I enjoyed her fully. She was encouraging and help me feel at ease about my career change.

I worked under Cornerstone Staffing for approximately 2 years. In those 2 years I was assigned to two different projects. One project was never going to hire me permanently, the other project the supervisors micro-managed every move you made. I reached out to my recruiter, Belinda, who then transferred my file over to Samantha. I sent Samantha a couple of emails for a job lead, as I have not worked since March and Ive yet to receive an email from her. I called her twice and both times the receptionist stated she was on a call or meeting. Clearly she was avoiding me. I would NEVER recommend anyone to this staffing agency. Once you are assigned to a job you are expected to complete the assignment. Get ready to not hear back from the temp agency should you need help or accommodations.

Edit: I had to edit my original post because in true fashion, the agency, cares about their image, NOT my future as I stated before.1. Let me clear things up by clarifying my previous post. Sure, Cornerstone offers medical and dental through a third party that the employee pays for out of pocket. Same would be if you went through the Obama care website to look for insurance. The cost of the policy is 100% YOURS and NOT paid for by Cornerstone, like traditional employers offer for their full time employees. No matter the length of time employed. During the enrollment period, i did not elect to enroll in this insurance as I was under the impression that the company was going to hire me on (prior to the covid epidemic and 1 month after the enrollment ended) at the end of January, which is when I had hit my 6 months on the assignment. I had gotten GREAT feedback/reviews from the company about my performance and willingness to adjust my schedule to accommodate the companies needs during the 1st 6 months, so there was no reason to assume otherwise.2. While Cornerstone does offer pay to their employees, on assignment, for holidays, it is only 4 hours. The company requested that I work ALL holidays during my period there (with the exception of Christmas). If asked to work an 8 hour shift, I received 12 hours of REGULAR pay (8 paid by the company and 4 hours from Cornerstone) although during HOLIDAYS, normal employees receive DOUBLE pay. So in reality, I received LESS than what was due for permanent employees who worked those same days.3. There is no Paid Time Off otherwise known as PTO, period. Family emergencies, Birthdays, Child Care Issues, Car Troubles, Death in the Family? All common, right? You may request the time off but note that its at your own decretion as you will not receive any pay for those days, no matter the length of time employed. Not only that, you run the risk of the assignment not being as understanding of your issue and releasing you from said assignment. My mother passed away in late June and I was only allowed a few days to settle affairs associated with her untimely demise. I had to return to work ASAP as I had No PTO, No BEREAVEMENT (not offered through the agency) as I wasnt earning any money during those days. When learning of the news, I even considered NOT going to my own MOTHERS funeral!Lastly, while it may be that Cornerstone only requires a 48 hour notice (FIRST time hearing this after SEVERAL times calling them unsure about continuing on with the company), I was asked several times by my recruiter Belinda, that I provide a TWO WEEK notice, in order to allow Cornerstone to find a suitable replacement and maintain a positive relationship with the company. This seemed to be the Focus, not my issues. Imagine working for a company that you actually liked; working harder than the temporary employees that came before you; other employees LOVE you and constantly take you out to lunch (heck they even ask your input regarding personal issues) just to discover that you are going to have to work ANOTHER six months or longer with no job security or benefits. Cornerstone continued to receive an undisclosed fee for every hour I worked since my contract hadnt been bought out after the 1st 6 months. You would think addressing the issues that can establish a GREATER, positive relationship, in lieu of advising how to properly quit an assignment would have been the better route. Guess I was wrong...

Took a full day off from work and drove all the way to this location, filled out paperwork for a job I was emailed about and waited to be told I wasn’t eligible for rehire because I didn’t return to a previous assignment after being told several times in that assignment that if we didn’t feel it was a perfect fit then we were free to just leave. I’m not upset that I didn’t get the job because I can get a job anywhere with my education and experience, however I am frustrated that my time was waisted. It’s 2020 there should be a simple way to update documents in a computer!

I would like to start with my first impression being a 4 star. The building was clean, professional and they were courteous. Even though I arrived right at open and only a few people ahead of me, I was one of the last people to be seen.I was seen with Ms Hogg and she made me laugh and enjoyed our conversation about what I was looking for and my experience. I am usually very nervous and uncomfortable during interviews, so this was refreshing experience for me. I was told upfront about expectations and requirements and I was not upset with this. After a week, I went to my first interview and I didnt do so well, due to no fault of them.This is where it went downhill, I kept applying to jobs I was qualified for and I heard nothing back. I called once or twice and left a message, only to never hear anything back. I accidentally clicked on one job and applied for it, only to get a call back telling me to be patient and not to apply for jobs I am not qualified for.Three months later, I have given up talking to these people. I still get called from other regions such as Richardson, telling me to go to Irving office and apply with them face-to-face despite having done this three months ago. Safe to say, all great impressions I had in very beginning are long gone.

Not as I was told it would be. I received a Called Stating that it was going to be an easy and fast process to get me into a customer service/call center job. I get there and there’s 10 people in front of me everybody going for a different job positions. I understand it’s a staffing agency but why make appointments if it’s first come first serve type of deal. After an hour waiting in the application room, I get to speak with my recruiter for 10 minutes then I’m going into another room with computers where I stay there three hours completing assessments, filling out paperwork and applications. My recruiter was super nice, after I spoke with her, somebody else called me after a day or so and she was super rude very unprofessional I understand they’re helping me find a job. But that does not give them the right to talk to a person the way that she did. It wasn’t worth it.. There are othe staffing agencies with better customer service. Funny how they give you test after test to find you a job but some employees there didn’t take a course in how to treat people (Customer Service)

I dont even know where to begin with my experience here. I had a bad experience with a different branch and said never again. I came here and at first I felt maybe it was just the other branch. Goodness was I wrong.After a few meetings and paperwork I was sent on a few interviews. I had 3 offers all come in at once. I contacted my recruiter and was advised of an offer to start the following Tuesday/Wednesday. The other offers started Monday, I really wanted to work for the company Cornerstone was sending me to and figured whats an extra day. I declined the other offers to my detriment.My recruiter Emilie advised me Thursday via phone that she would call me Monday and tell me if I was starting Tuesday or Wednesday. Monday arrived with no email or phone call, so early afternoon, after waiting all day, I called just to be informed that she was out til Wednesday. I expressed my disappointment and concern in regards to my start date and was informed a manager would call me back that afternoon. Spoiler Alert, never happened. I called again the next afternoon and asked for whomever was supposed to call me. I was told someone would call me back. What I received was a breathless phone call from Leigh/Leigh Ann? Who sounded like she couldnt be bothered and didnt care about my concerns as she told me I was never starting that week. At this point I became angry as I felt they were toying with my livelihood. I honestly felt like I had no option but to take the job and had I obtained anything else that week I would have gone there instead.From the moment I entered the assignment I knew I had made a horrible mistake. I was left in reception for over half an hour after the manager I was told to report to was informed I had arrived (earlier than my advised start time). My work station didnt include anything and I was thankful I had brought my own notebook to take notes with. After weeks of not having a trash can or even a drawer to put my purse, feeling like I wasnt catching on fast enough and being made to feel as if I was irritating the women training me any time I asked questions the client ended the assignment early. On my way home I received the first call from my recruiter in weeks. I had had a rough day and had been spoken to quite rudedly via email from a member of the cornerstone staff to boot. I forgot my water bottle and sweater (items I took home daily) on accident. I informed Emilie that i had forgotten these things in my rush to leave and she asked if I was available to come to the office the following day to retrieve my items and I said yes.I went the following week to retrieve my property and had been asked multiple times if someone had called me and said my stuff was there and I explained that Emilie had told me to come the next day but I had been unable to until that day. Two separate people looked for my things and ultimately asked if I had been called. I was told I would be called later that afternoon and surprise surprise the person who called was rude. She cut me off and said well its our policy you dont leave personal items when I tried to explain that I left the items in error. That was more than 3 weeks ago and I still dont have my items and I feel ghosted by my recruiter and the agency. I feel had anyone bothered to return a phone call or checked on me I would have been able to tell them it wasnt working out and none of us would have been blindsided. I can absolutely understand why they want you to leave a review for them before you leave the office when you do your intake interview, they could care less about you once they have an agreement in hand for you. What a pity for them, I work for a company that is a much better fit for me and them and the recruiter that got me that job has checked on me to see how I feel and as large as their company is I feel I actually matter as an employee to them. Last time I said never again for cornerstone, this time I mean it.I know this is long and I appreciate your time.Peace and Blessings on you and your family
