Great school to get a dispatch certificate. The instructors are knowledgeable and take the time to make sure you understand all the information that will be asked on your exams. Help with job placement is also excellent; in some cases you may even have an offer before you have your certificate. The 5 week course is packed with topics, and will be challenging at times. A background in aviation is a plus, but you will get through the course just fine without it. I’m happy I chose IFOD, no regrets!
IFOD is the best! Had an amazing experience and learning at IFOD. Have job offers from multiple airlines. Would any day recommend them for dispatch training and certificate.
Nothing negative to say about IFOD. All the instructors I worked with were amazing and will work with you as long as you need. They teach out of pure passion for helping others succeed. I took the 5 week course in May 2021, graduated with my certificate, and got a job exactly a month later. Kash really knows his stuff! He will help you from learning the material to finding a job. Even goes out of his way to personally send off your resume to employers. He also has a lot of connections with hiring managers. This is a highly credited school that many employers know about and are comfortable with the training that you receive here. Coming to this school was the best decision I made for my career!
If youre looking into earning your dispatch certificate THIS IS THE PLACE! I signed up for the 8 week program and was successful. All of the instructors are more then well prepared and its by far one of the best educational experiences that I have ever received. I made connections with my classmates/instructors which to this day we still maintain communication with each other, walked out with a dispatch certificate and, LANDED A POSITION before my graduation date with Endeavor Air!! If youre thinking twice about signing up dont, your new life is waiting on you!!
The best school to get your aircraft dispatcher certificate at. They work with you every step of the way from preparing you for the written exam, all the way to getting you a dispatching position with an airline. By the time it comes for you to take your practical exam, you will be more than prepared and will pass it with no issues. As far as it comes to getting a job, they will go out of their way to help you be successful in your job hunt. The instructors will assist you with your resume and interview prep. Many companies will even call asking for IFOD to send them resumes of students before theyve even finished up the course- I know of at least 3 during my 5 week class that did.It is not an easy 5 weeks. You will have to work hard and will be studying for many hours each night after you get out of class, but you will be more than ready for your ADX written and practical, as well as for interviews with airlines.
Professional program that prepares its students fully for the exam. I took the course to become a dispatcher and was pleased with the content, the pace, and the thoroughness. I highly recommend this program!
Amazing teachers, and training. Mark, Nathan and Anna are more than willing to help everyone reach the level needed for the ADX written and FAA final. Patient, insightful and can help anyone from zero aviation experience to experienced pilots and dispatchers. Highly Recommend. Thanks IFOD!
I just completed the accelerated 2-week program. Nathan and Mark are both incredibly knowledgable and patient. Their commitment to ensuring everyone knows the material and is well prepared for the exams is evident from day 1, and they are great in helping each student get the most out of what they put into it. I felt very well prepared when it was time to sit with the examiner. The reviews below and their track record speaks for itself. If youre considering getting your dispatch license, look no further than IFOD.
Took the 5 week day-time course. Awesome instructors and caring staff. They made sure to answer all questions and really understood how to teach the class as well as the individual student. The staff has also been very helpful with guidance concerning applications. Five stars!!!
I went through the program May 2020 in the 2 weeks accelerated class. The program is well set up. Practice flight planning and FAR regulations. I had alot of confidence going into my oral and practical. Highly recommend it at IFOD.
Fantastic school. Kash and Mark are great instructors and will teach you everything you need to know.
If you are really looking for a dispatch course, I definitely recommend IFOD.Teachers teach enthusiastically, patient and very helpful.THANKS IFOD...
The whole staff at IFOD is first class. Mark is the best instructor out there! He is very knowledgeable and willing to go the extra mile to make sure that you understand the material thoroughly. Our January class had a 100% pass rate with some having prior aviation experience and others having none. I also made many new friends from around the world and by the end of the course it felt like one big family! All in all if you’re thinking about an aircraft dispatch career this is the place to go.
Hey everyone I got the opportunity to take the 5 week class for dispatcher certificate. I enjoyed every moment of the class, from the vast knowledge the instructors had to the very diverse group of people I got to call my class. In the five weeks you will work closely in study groups and group projects With your class. You will get to know these people and start a network of people around the world. I will never forget them. Not only is it a great class to learn about dispatching. The teachers will push you to better yourself, changing your thought process to be able to think out side the box. Not to regurgitate information you learn from a textbook, but to be able to apply it in real life situations. The instructors are invested in you and only care about your success. My favorite quote from Kash is The only option is success. I hope this helps people on deciding on their next step in life.
The teachers are very informational and can tell you pretty much anything you could possibly want to know and a lot of things you dont about dispatching. The teaching style is balanced between laid back and accelerated, with every day being both enjoyable but also very necessary to attend, and missing just one day can really set you back sometimes. During exams and after graduating, the staff will go out of their way to help you find jobs via emails, and may sometimes guide you to positions you wouldnt have found otherwise. Overall you will find that your money and time is very well spent with this program, and you will know that you have the needed knowledge to be a quality dispatcher in the workforce once you graduate.
I came from Hong Kong to take the 5 week course, and there is nothing negative I can say for the course. Even with a private pilot license and working in the industry for 2 years as a flight planning officer, I am glad I took the 5 week course. The course is VERY intense and requires a lot of studying after class. During the whole time the school organized for me to stay in the Holiday Inn, where a shuttle was provided to and from school everyday. The instructors have a ton of knowledge and WILL prepare you over and above for the written and practical exams. Be prepared to put in a lot of time after school in studying for the exams as it is a lot of information to process. If you take the course at this school rest assured you are in good hands.
This school with give you all you need to become a aircraft dispatcher. I high recommend going to their classes in Irving,TX. Kash, Mark, and Garrett will guide you on your way to finding a job in the airline industry.
Great school to get certified as an airliner dispatcher. The price is great and they give you everything you need to be prepared for your exam. From your written exam to your oral exam you will be fully prepared. Extremely knowledgeable staff that takes the time to make sure you know what you need to and not only prepare you for our certification exam but also to get a job with an airline.
IFOD was the best choice in dispatch school by far. Very great staff they helped me through every step of the way. When I thought I couldn’t do they made sure to keep me on my toes and got me through it. Mark Ana and Brandi are great if you are looking for a great school to get your license this is definitely the choice!
The owner of the school is obviously NOT and expert in the subject area. His knowledge of aerodynamics and weather is tenuous, at best. If you come into the class with any aviation operational experience, particularly an instrument rating, youll see it.He will offer incorrect information (as confirmed by my examiner) and refuse to reference material to back up his claims. If you are female or any ethnicity other than white American, he treats you like youre stupid regardless of your education, credentials, or career history. His arrogance and condescension is appalling. His claims of connections within the industry may be true, but his commitment to your career are false. You will not see follow-through.He will waste your (limited and expensive) class time with stories of being pleasantly intoxicated. Not only is this inappropriate, but there is too much material to cover in a short time for any of it to be wasted. There is a far less expensive and far better education opportunity for your dispatch license in town. Call them instead.
IFOD is a great school if you want to get into aircraft dispatching. The instructors are amazing and help you in every way possible to achieve your certification. I highly recommend this school!!
Had a great experience here, you can tell that the teachers really care, if you work hard you are almost guaranteed to get your ADX license. Thanks IFOD.
Excellent School for Airline Dispatch License. Do not hesitate to enroll if you concidering getting your license. Instructional Staff is Amazing at explaining the material in a way anyone can understand. Reading the book isnt the way. Come gain an education not a Memorization of answers to questions.
IFOD is the best option there is if you want to really learn about aviation and dispatching. Great instructors, great learning environment, and great staff. Not only did they make it possible for to obtain my dispatch license, they really helped me understand everything there is to it. They also helped me get a job! Hands down best school out there.
After hearing about IFOD I did extensive research before committing. I took the 8 week night classes and could not be more satisfied with my decision to attend. They provide everything necessary to give you the tools to become a licensed dispatcher. They have more than enough instructors eager to teach/tutor the material. I have previously attended flightschools where the you were just another student, however at IFOD, they do a great job of making you feel like a part of the team. I had several job opportunities offered to me right out of class. I could not be more satisfied with my experience there.
Great
Took the 5 week class here. Well worth every penny. You learn a lot. Be prepared to study a lot. 4 to 5 hours after class and all day Saturday and Sunday. Study in groups, quiz each other. Do the studying the way the instructors tell you. Kash, Mike, Colin, and Ana are all great. Would definitely recommend if you want to become a dispatcher.
I went through the training in 2006 and later retrained with them after being out of the industry for a while. Kash and the rest of the staff were amazing. Their test prep and job placement support is absolutely second to none. Id recommend this training institute to anyone inspiring to become an Airline Dispatcher.
I am very impressed with IFOD. I am in my 5th week of class and already have a job offer with a regional airline. I came into this class with no previous airline experience. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. Theyre very dedicated to making sure you complete the course with your dispatch license. The class is a little fast paced but if you need extra time you can take it. They make sure you are ready for your exams before you do them. I looked pretty thoroughly into several dispatcher schools before I chose IFOD. I am very happy with my decision.
Amazing instructors, great learning experience. This is the best place to get your ADX done as well as refresher courses, even for internationals (non US residents).
Excellent experience in training.. Experienced and caring instructors teaching the needed materials to be competent for earning your license. I really enjoyed my accelerated program and would recommend any future dispatchers to choose IFOD..
I have recently completed the 5 week course and have received my licence. I did come in with aviation experience but just as a agent on the ground at an airport. I had very limited to no knowledge of anything this course covers. There is a lot of information to get through in a short time but the course does a great job of fitting it all in. I would recommend pre-studying and forming a study group among others once class starts. That being said I felt fully prepared for my exams and am confident in my new found knowledge and ability as a dispatcher after taking this course. I did consider other schools/programs before choosing to go to IFOD and am glad i choose to go here. Every dispatcher Ive ever talked says or has said they wished they got their licence earlier so if you are thinking about doing this do it as soon as you can!
Hello Friends, just a quick post to let you know what an awesome school IFOD is. They are not only professional but extremely nice. Here you will find the perfect learning environment. They are serious about getting you through to your rating and will work with you individually to insure you succeed. I graduated from this school in September of 2016 and have been welcome back in my visits with open arms. I give them my highest recommendation and know you will find them instrumental to your future success.Captain Gary Warrick
IFOD is everything that is advertised and more. The professional staff provide you with the information to not only acquire your license but also to become a successful dispatcher in the work place. I highly recommend this course to anyone who is serious about dispatching. The experience allows you to network with friendly professionals from all over the world. Your fellow students work along side you in the continuous pursuit to obtain your goal of graduation by aiding you in study groups and positive reinforcement. A big thanks to Kash, Mark, & Ana.
They were very helpful around every turn. It is a lot of information in just 5 weeks but they know how to get the information to every student. I would recommend this school to anyone interested.
EXCELLENT dispatch program!!! So glad I choose to go to IFOD! The instructors and staff are honestlyAMAZING! They will help you throughout the whole program; they truly want you to pass the course. I had no aviation experience prior and was able to understand the material passing smoothly! Trust in their process and teaching method, you will learn and gain so much knowledge! It was a lot of information for sure but it was really interesting and fun to learn! They will give you all their effort, you just need to make sure you give all your effort and you will be successful with IFOD.
This is a very intensive course designed to prepare you to pass the FAA written examination and subsequent FAA practical oral examination. In addition to preparing you to pass your exam, the staff will also help you prepare your resume, provide current job leads, and provide Instruction on how to approach the interview, what questions to ask, how to respond, etc.Books are included, further adding to the value of this course. They even provide you with an E6B computer, highlighters and pencils! Magic pencils, you will learn. In less than two months time I’ve gone from zero aviation background to being licensed and receiving multiple job offers; Having accepted a position with one of American Airlines’ regional carriers. The instructors are very skilled at interjecting teambuilding skills into the class, and a very strong sense of camaraderie is developed among the students, as well as developing valuable networking skills and professional contacts that will span your career. The students enjoy a weekly social outing, as well as several professional field trips to visit operational control centers. The instruction material is very intense, and the course is fast-paced. This is no cakewalk. Be prepared to show up on time, ready to listen and take detailed notes,. Be prepared to study several hours every evening and on your weekends off. You must study every night and on weekends in order to get through this course. Make arrangements in advance. Clear your social calendar. The course covers a large amount of material in order to properly prepare the student to pass the examination and answer interview questions.A word of caution. Please prepare yourself in advance.Study aviation weather, familiarize yourself with aviation terms, Have an understanding of IFR flight rules, approaches, and a basic understanding of reading approach plates and aviation charts. And bone up on weather. Understanding aviation weather is a huge part of this course. And a critical function of the dispatchers job.All of this information is readily available with a simple Google search, and there are hours of video available on YouTube For free. This way you aren’t hearing it for the first time when the information is presented in the classroom. The more knowledge you prepare yourself with, easier this will be on you. There are also phone apps available so that you can quiz yourself on sample questions from the ADX. These apps can be purchased for as low as five dollars. If you are considering attending the school, I highly recommend it. The investment paid off for me, And if you are prepared to work hard, you will see results as well.
I just completed a challenging 5 weeks of FAA Dispatcher Certification training. I chose IFOD because they had the option to complete this training in two installments or power through and finish the 5 week course. I had tried to do this training a year prior with a different school, but just lasted a little over a week before I gave up and went home. Let’s get this straight, this training is no walk in the park, it’s tough and should be to dispatch aircraft around the world. I’m very happy I decided to go with IFOD. First and foremost, this company has a fantastic reputation and it’s not run like a big corporation, but more like a family business (which it’s not, it is a corporation). The instructors were extremely knowledgeable and very professional. They are certified dispatchers with previous dispatch experience and tons of real world knowledge. Their teaching methods are more conducive to learning the tough material and is not a “Death by PowerPoint” approach. They actually teach you step by step what you will need to pass both the FAA written and Oral and Practical exams. Having been through this class, and the other class I attended a year prior, I see that IFOD teaches you what you need to know, where the other class I attended seemed to teach me things I didn’t need. As I spoke of earlier, this class is no walk in the park (at least not for me, and most of the students in my same class) and the personal attention the instructors gave the students was very impressive. I personally had several times where I was unsure of myself and One of the instructors was right there and took the additional time necessary to settle me down and assist me with getting back on track. During our class, The owner of the school would come in at least twice a week asking us if we wanted to go to a certain destination because he had continuous open job offers that Airline companies would ask him to fill with his IFOD students, that didn’t happen at the other school I attended! All in all, I’m extremely satisfied with my training at IFOD and would highly suggest this company to anyone who is looking to enter this profession.JG
Kash is an incredible instructor. He believes no student should be left behind. He truly cares about each student and his lectures are entertaining. As long as you put the work into this, you will succeed in this program!
Course was fast and instructors taught all the material that was needed for exams. Enjoyed the class and met awesome people. However, this isnt a walk in the park. Dedicate your time for lots of studying.
I highly suggest this school to anyone with an interest in aircraft dispatch! They worked well with every student and taught thoroughly with the student always at the front of their minds. I believe I chose the right school for my career and you will too after taking this course! The school has a very high emphasis on the student, they want you to succeed and they show it.
Couldnt be more grateful for choosing IFOD as the school to get my dispatch certificate. From day 1 to the end, the teachers truly prepared us to understand what it takes to be a dispatcher. Now I have a career in something I wanted to do.
I cant compare their course price to any aviation training center. Its affordable. I will join this school very soon. Best of the best
I just finished attending IFOD it was a great experience. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable and willing to go the extra step to make sure their students pass. They even will come to your hotel after class if you ask. I definitely recommend this school for dispatchers.
Just read the other reviews. The whole iFOD crew is great for preparing you for a career in dispatch.
More than just a aircraft dispatcher training, instructors really work and wish for your success in aviation field. If you want to build up your career in aviation industry, this is the place where you can learn about aircraft operations and such.
Great school, they teach you everything you need to know to pass your FAA exams and get your dispatcher certificate, would recommend to anyone!
I got graduated from IFOD in December 2015. Currently I am working as a dispatcher in India. As I am an international student I was worried for few things like accommodation, Expense, coaching and after completing 5weeks course will I get the Job.To take a decision to go to IFOD was a correct decision of my life. Which boosted my career As I land there I saw my accommodation which was awesome. The expense and fees is also reasonable and you will be having very knowledgeable instructors. There teaching style is very good. They will make you grasp the things very soon in their style.More on that after getting FAA license they will also help you with your JOB interviews.I must say I am proud of being IFODIAN
Just a fantastic group of people who are dedicated to teaching. I took the 5 week program and had a very positive experience learning all that was needed to pass the ADX and practical exam. ETOPS and Jeppesen chart differences training were provided at no additional cost too! The staff obviously has a passion for teaching and were always helping people who needed extra teaching to make sure everyone was going to pass. As Kash has been heard saying Ill make you a great dispatcher whether you want to be or not! They do help with non-locals getting hotels and have a deal with Woodspring to provide a discounted rate and a free shuttle back and forth. Nice hotel and the staff was always helpful.
Like many others on here, I too had an incredible experience during my time at IFOD! Kash and Mark are truly passionate and dedicated in seeing that all of its students understand the material in order to pass both the written and oral exams. The amount of material you learn in the first two weeks seems incredibly overwhelming especially to those of us without any prior aviation knowledge. However by the middle of week 2, it all finally starts to sink in. Week 3 is a series of practice test for the ADX (written) exam. Weeks 4 & 5 are preparations for the oral and practical exams with an FAA examiner. To be successful though, it does require several hours of intense studying each day and plenty of sleep at night. They do offer an 8 week night course and an accelerated 1 or 2 week course for those with strong aviation backgrounds. For international students or those from outside the DFW area, they have contracts with several nearby hotels with some offering reduced rates and daily shuttle service to and from the school. About half of my class and I stayed at the Woodsprings Suites in the Las Colinas area.To anyone looking to start a career in aircraft dispatch, I highly recommend this school!
IFOD is a fantastic program. I went for aircraft dispatch and all of the instructors genuinely care about your success and are excellent at teaching you the skills necessary to attain that success. Kash, Mark and Collin were all very knowledgeable and each of them was always willing to help. The program is fast paced, but well worth it. They have a lot of aviation industry connections, which is always a huge help. Everyone at IFOD is very nice, polite and professional. If you look good, they look good, so they want you to not just be able to blurt out an answer on a test. They want you to know what that answer means. I had some aviation background before entering into this program and things I thought I knew well, I know even better now. Its a fantastic confidence booster if you put in the time and effort. If you want to learn about dispatch, get your certificate and break into the aviation industry, IFOD is well worth it. I already have a job and it hasnt even been a week since graduation. Its a great feeling and if youre thinking about where to go to dispatch school, look no further. IFOD is waiting.
If you are looking for a school with teachers who care, you should seriously look into IFOD. They are not going to give you a book and tell you to figure it out. IFOD doesnt teach you to pass a test; IFOD teaches you the concepts so you genuinely understand and can apply what you learn.
I graduated from IFOD in June 2016. Its been 5 weeks of hard work to assimilate all the knowledge the instructors pump into you. But once you pass the exams, there is nothing more rewarding than this and you realize its worth all the effort. I couldnt have made a better choice than to learn at IFOD. The instructors are highly knowledgable and experienced and they will push you hard to achieve the goal to earn your FAA Aircraft Dispatcher license. Thank you IFOD for providing this absolutely great learning experience.
Graduated from IFOD in October of 2014. I cant say enough how much IFOD prepared me for my dispatch career. Im currently in the regionals working my way to a mainline carrier and I honestly believe that a large part of my success is due to IFOD. I have so much respect for the instructors and program, I have already recommended two students who both graduated and are both dispatching in the regionals as well, and I would recommend them to anyone else interested in dispatch.
Great!!! Love the staff so far. This will be home as of September 28, 2015
Wonderful Place There.
Great institute of Excellence...
Great stuff
Dispatch class
I would like to thank Kash and everyone at IFOD for the wonderful experience. If you are looking to get into the aviation industry or field this is the perfect place to start.
