Horrible experience. Took my car into Toyota for other work and they discovered that Jiffy Lube #3036 had stripped my oil pan (the thread was literally wrapped around the plug when it was removed) and had to be completely replaced. Toyota advised me that Jiffy Lube is responsible for paying for the damage and to take my $700 receipt and pictures of proof of damage to the location I went to. Originally talked to the manager on duty who did what he could and told me to contact the general manager, Ben to see if he could get me my refund. Ben eventually contacted me and then tried to blame the damage on Toyota and obviously did not understand the damage that was done. He sent the case to the district manager, Lewis Martinez, after I demanded that my case actually be reviewed. Since I did not hear from Ben or Lewis in the time frame I was told, I submitted a claim through corporate customer service. Lewis finally called me and left a message but only asked for my car’s current mileage. I sent him my current car mileage along with my case number and the photos of the damage. Never got a response from him so I called him to verify that he got the information I sent him but never heard back from him. I contacted customer service again and gave them all the details of my communications and the pictures of the damage. They updated my case file and reached out to the franchisee Team Car Car East LLC only to find out that someone had already put in a denial of my claim without any justification. To be honest, the corporate customer service was great to work with and they did all they could on my behalf. However, the district manager obviously denied my claim without actually talking to me about the damage and now won’t return calls or texts. Jiffy Lube should be paying for the $700 worth of damage they did to my car but they keep running away from even talking to me about it. Based on other reviews I’ve read, it looks like I’m not the only one who has had this same issue. Will not be using any Jiffy Lube location ever again.
I have been trying to get a reimbursement for damages done to my oil pan during service for weeks now and have heard nothing. I have submitted receipts and been given a refund. My next call is to a lawyer to see if they can get me my reimbursement.
Another horrible experience. Should have read the other reviews before visiting. Will never go back to any of their locations. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else.
Jiffy Lube4821 Blanding Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32210I noticed my vehicle had a moderate oil leak shortly after my oil change. Since I was out of town I had to go and get my Honda checked out. Turns out that a technician at this Jiffy Lube stripped my oil pan, meaning the hole for the oil plug was stripped. I had to go to a Honda Dealership Service Center to get an entirely new oil pan at a cost of over $700.00. I put a call in yesterday and am waiting for the district manager of Team Car Care East, Inc. to return my call. I also filed a complaint with Jiffy Lube corporate today. I am waiting to hear back and see if they will reimburse me for the damage they caused. I can not afford this due to low income.Team Car Care OWNS this Jiffy Lube location in Jacksonville, FL.
Why is your Decker Dr. address listed as a jiffy lube on Google search? Fix this. Bad info has wasted my time, and, therefore my money.
Took car to Jiffy Lube Danville Ill. Had oil change with synethic oil, had $10 off coupon. Total bill ended up being $71.96. What a rip off. I questioned why does 5 quarts of oil cost $25 which would be $5 each quart, 1 quart was $9.39. When I called them the girl whom changed the oil just read me word for word from my receipt. I told her I could read she just kept talking and reading from reception. I talked to assistant mrg he said the 6th quart of oil was an up charge. What the heck is up charge????? Why do you even have an upcharge? A quart of oil should be the same amount you would think?? Assist mgr said come back for $10. Refund. Went up there and now he says oh the bill is correct there was an up charge wth. Never again will I get oil change at ANY JIFFY LUBE no matter what location or state. What a rip off. A oil change should be one charge if you need any additional of course you should bed charged for that which I paid extra $2.19.
I brought my car to the Ohlen Rd location in Austin, Tx for an oil change. The employees failed to properly reinstall the oil drain plug. As a result, the oil spilled out and it overheated which ruined the engine. Now the dealership is telling me that I need to pay $4400 to have a new engine installed. Jiffy lube said it happened beyond their warranty period and are refusing to take any responsibility for the faulty service they provided. At the time of the oil change, I was not given an invoice because the printer was broken, nor did they tell me that the oil change was warranted for only 3 months or 3000 miles. I’ve reached out to district and regional management, as well as the claim specialist at this location, and have either been given dismissive responses that answer none of my questions or have been completely ignored. Neither the regional manager nor the claim specialist have returned my calls. In short, this is a terrible company to do business with!! Don’t make the same mistake!
I had a very great experience today sharon was a very big help, everything was fast and quickStore #382
Took my care to their Jiffy Lube in Port Jefferson Station, NYMy Mitsubishi Outlander Sport 2013, the car had no prior problemstheir mechanics requested I do an oil flush. Not even 10 mins down theroad my car engine broke down, from a piston miss firing and my battery died. Had to have my car battery jumped because they killed it, in the store. They then needed to jump the battery outside the store, their manager came to jump it after hours because they took over 1 hour and 30 mins to even do an oil flush and oil change. After all said and done the Mitsubishi Dealership requested that I spend $5,123.00 on a NEW ENGINE. I then file a claim through their insurance and and lets just say 2 weeks later and nothing has been done. I am still waiting on the upper management to make their decision. Terrible Terrible Business.
NEVER GIVE YOUR MONEY TO ANY COMPANY ASSOCIATED WITH THEM. I have a 2012 Ford Focus and went into one of their Jiffy Lube’s for a routine oil change. Completed the service but as soon as I got in my car I noticed my change oil light was still on. I’ve been there before and this has happened to me on multiple occasions so I thought they just didn’t reset it (I’m literally still in their parking lot when I saw it was still on). Time goes by and I’m driving when my car COMPLETELY SHUTS DOWN, tried to jump the car still wouldn’t start. Radio, AC, lights are all on but the car won’t start. Since I already had an appointment for routine service at my dealer the next day and it was only a mile away from where I broke down I had my vehicle towed there. The next day the dealer doing my service calls me and asks have I recently had an oil change? I tell them yes from Jiffy Lube and he informs that my oil filter was improperly installed which caused a blown seal and ALL THE OIL TO DRAIN OUT OF MY ENGINE. Because of this damage the engine in my vehicle needs to be replaced. That day I call Jiffy Lube to inform them of what happened and they tell me they need to have an inspector come out to access. At least 2 weeks go by before Team Car Care even schedule someone to come out. After the person inspected the vehicle another few weeks go by where I’m calling and emailing Claudia Ibarra EVERYDAY to get the status of the inspection. They finally reach back out to me to inform me they aren’t taking fault due to the fact the “Dealership tampered with the vehicle” before they could inspect. I scheduled this appointment weeks before my car broke down and it was for something that has nothing to do with the engine. I have a written statement from the dealer stating what was wrong with the vehicle and why the problem is solely Jiffy Lube’s fault. Dealing with their customer service people has been a nightmare, I didn’t hear anything from corporate when I called in a complaint (They said they would follow up in 48 hours) and the only reason I heard from Claudia was because after ignoring my emails and calls I told her I was going to reach out everyday until she responded. I drive around for work so this has cause me money on rentals and tows along with loss of commission due to not being able to get around. I’m still without a car and will be taking legal action against this company. And the wildest part is the person who messed up is still working there without even being talked to about his mistake because they don’t believe it’s their fault. This place is horrible never take your car there.....
Went in for an oil change. They drained my transmission fluid, stripped the bolt, put it back in, and didnt tell us the bolt was stripped. The following months the transmission fluid was slowly draining and it started skipping gears. Had to take it into Toyota to get fixed. $800 dollars later!! Jiffy Lube denied claim when we asked them to pay for it. Even the store manager acknowledged the mistake. These people are terrible, dishonest, unethical, unprofessional to the core. Dont EVER take your vehicle into ANY Jiffy Lube!!!!
**WARNING AVOID JIFFY LUBE #476**My husband took our Mazda to this location for a routine oil change. After waiting on the techs to return from their smoke breaks an oil change was preformed. Payment was rendered. My husband went around the corner the car begin to smoke and made a loud knocking sound. He took the car back to the facility. The techs stated the oil was low (2 quarts) prior to changing it, dark in color with debris. This was never told to him nor notated on the invoice. We contacted the store manger which said this was a pre existing issue. Now upon driving the car prior this sound never occurred until after the oil change. Also you can hear the noise yards away. Maintenance is kept promptly on this vehicle. We requested the DMs number since the techs refused to confess up to negligence. The next day we had the car taken to Mazda.(even the Mazda tech stated they have had to repair vehicles from Jiffy Lube)They found motor damage not pre existing but due to a bad oil change. Oil reserve was over filled. No slug found. Mazda checked the vehicle out not long ago because there was an unrelated manufacturer recall. No motor issues was documented at that time. We want our vehicle repaired. Simple. As of today no resolution. STOP avoiding our calls and emails.
How does this guy Eric Garrison still have a job? I have emails that they were going to pay for the replacement of my jaguar engine and then no reply.
I have had two bad experiences with Jiffy Lube, in Kingston, MA. I had coupons fordiscounts on Signature Service. I presented the coupon and told them that I usedhigh mileage oil,but no discount was given because I upgraded to high mileage oil.I had received the discount before with no problem, but I was informed that this couldnot be done. I was told that this came from the home office. It would seem to me thatthe signature service discount should be given, but charge me for the difference betweenthe regular oil price and the high mileage oil. SOMETHING IS REMISS HERE. STRAIGHTEN IT OUT,OR YOU WILL LOSE BOTH ME AND MT WIFE ASCUSTOMERS.
Team Car Care is not only the biggest Jiffy Lube franchise but also the best. The teams that are created and developed through this company are amazing individuals with a guest first mentality.
While getting my oil changed, an employee broke my radiator which left me stranded a mile away! Then they refuse to repair it even though theyre aware that they broke it... I checked the BBB, they have over 580 complaints!!!Took them to court and WON..!PROVED THEY ARE LIARS AND THIEVES!CLOSE THIS BUSINESS...And now they dont answer the phone... SHAM!Hey Jiffy Lube... Im sending the Sheriff to collect what you owe...Its called a Sheriffs Till Tap or a Sheriffs Keeper, and guess who pays for it...you doooooooo....They avoided the Sheriffs Till Tap by paying in full!!!
Overpriced, poor facility maintenance inside and out. Air compressor out last two times I have been there. Had to stop somewhwre else to put air in tires. I recommend go somewhere else. Im done with Jiffy Lube
I had my oil changed on my Audi A3 at the Basswood location in Fort Worth. The very next day my car died and the engine seized up. I had car towed to local Audi dealer and they stated they crushed the oil filter and cranked car with no oil in it. Contacted Jiffy Lube location and spoke to manager and he acknowledged their negligence to me and the service tech at Audi dealership. He assured me it would be taken car of and filed a claim with corporate. He gave me the infamous Eric Garrison as a contact and of course radio silence for over a week. Im confused how a company that can be the title sponsor for all of the college football games I watched this weekend, is unable to provide one human being to answer the phone. Literally every avenue of calling leads to a voicemail system. Contacted Fox 4 News, BBB, and now my attorney. This is a company that should no longer be in business.
At store # 2000. Manhattan Beach CA,I drove up guy came to my window told him I want Mobil 1 he sad sure no problem come in have a seat, a little later after they drained the oil from my car, he came in and told they didnt have any Mobil 1, I was forced to buy something I did not want, from what I understand this is a common practice w jiffylube I am surprised there still in business. I will never go there againYou know how bad it is to have a 1.3 rating
I have called several times. They gave me a case number of 107666. I have not received a phone call from anyone. I went to a Jiffy Lube on 11/16/15 in Alexandria Louisiana. The store had a special which with an oil change you would receive a free inspection sticker. The employee said he could not do the inspection sticker because it was raining, but to keep my receipt and come back when the clouds cleared. I did and a girl came out telling me she called headquarters and they were not going to honor the agreement. She also said the employee was no longer at the store. I feel very violated. I think if someone tells you they will honor an agreement, they should follow through. Also, I trusted them. I will not ever use Jiffy Lube or Heartland Automotive Services again and will warn others of their shady operations. They have had amply opportunity to call me and apologize for the inconvenience and to offer me my money back, Instead they gave me a false case number and have not returned my phone calls. I work for a major University in Louisiana and I promise to report to as many employees about this incident and post all over the internet. Thanks, Debra Bynog, Alexandria LA
My experience with Jiffy Lube Customer Service was terrible. In addition, Jiffy Lube does not care about its customers as was my experience with the Charleston South Carolina locations. I brought my BMW Z 3 in for an oil change and they broke my lug nut when trying to change my oil. To make matters worse they forgot to replace the skid plate/pan under the car. They refuse to pay for a replacement nor find the loss skid plate/pan. I will never take a car to Jiffy Lube again and I have 3 cars !! I will let everyone I know of my bad experience and expect they will lose many local customers due to their non concern of their SC customer in Charleston, South Carolina.
Like many of the others, we too have had a bad experience with Jiffy Lube. We took our Toyota Avalon in for a routine oil change in Casa Grande, AZ, Jiffy Lube Svc Ctr #3293. The technician who performed the oil change broke the baffle on the valve cover oil fill and that piece is now lodged in the timing chain, effectively ruining the engine. A claim was filed, and denied, due to misstatements and deniability by the Franchisee manager. We have tried unsuccessfully to contact upper management for further action, but to no avail. Please DO NOT take your vehicle to Jiffy Lube for any reason. They will not stand behind their service. They are so buried in LLC and bureaucracy that it is impossible to get to whomever to even listen to your concerns.
Had oil change before vacation. Jiffy lube #2582, Marysville, WA overfilled oil - blew the rear main seal. Jiffy Lube Corp. offices in Houston, TX denied my claim first stating by phone that I didnt report the problem within the 3 month period. Didnt return home from vacation until until after the 3 month time period. Then I received a letter from Corp offices stating they reviewed my claim stating, we have investigated your claim and have determined that your recent malfunction is not a result of the services performed at the Jiffy Lube Service. They told me to contact the Better Business Bureau so I guess thats one of the things Ill do. Another thing Ill do is never go to any Jiffy Lube anywhere and will make sure no one I know goes either.
Edited for recent experience:took my car to be serviced and the staff at the location near UTA were phenomenal.Passive aggressive and petty leadership. Obvious favoritism. Antiquated practices.
I have a Jiffy Lube customer here in Omaha for between 10 and 15 years. Within the last year I purchased a (supercharged engine) Nissan Xterra from my son who had owned it since it was new. Jiffy Lube was the only company ( except the dealership ) to every change its oil. Synthetic oil is the only kind of oil that it has ever had because of its superchargerI found out this morning that at my last oil change they used regular motor oil. ( and said I had made the change of oils, which is outer nonsense, since I know that synthetic is the only oil that that engine should ever use ) So recently when I had it topped of in another city I told them it only uses synthetic, so they put synthetic on top of the regular motor oil. So this morning when I stopped in for them to top off my fluids levels before I drive to Texas they were going to put regular oil in my vehicle, and tried to tell me that I made a change the last time I was in.There is just no talking to these people; when you have a 25-year-old telling you (interrupting you), you do not know what you are talking about. It is time to change where I get my oil changed.BTW, I have a long list of other things they have done at the store but I have let all of them slide, that will never happen again. Nor will I ever enter a Jiffy Lube store again. I do not like to be condescended to as a long-time customer...
Bad, Bad. Save your time and Money!!! Well they will save you money by not helping you. Two time in 4 months I have stopped to get an oil change and just so happen the computers are down and they cant help me or we are working on this car that needs a lot work so could you come back tomorrow. Either they have really bad computers or some LAZY workers. You be the judge. I will never go back.
Jiffy Lube on Rufe Snow in North Richland Hills, TX messed up our alternator on our Mercedes. Went in for a routine oil change and they forgot to put the cap on. Oil spilled everywhere. The manager then sprayed degreasor all over the inside of the alternator. Now they are refusing to replace our alternator. The District Manager Tony Meyers is unprofessional, rude and immature. He hung up on us as we tried explaining the problem. WILL NEVER GO TO ANOTHER JIFFY LUBE EVER AGAIN AND IM TELLING EVERYONE!!
I went to Jiffy Lube in Bastrop, TX on Highway 71 for an oil change with a perfectly working vehicle, and left with a transmission barely working. After returning twice over two days because it was clear something had gone wrong with the oil change (when I left JL my car was high pitched whining and struggling/lurching to accelerrate) they claimed all they had done was change my oil, and that my transmission must have suddenly broke, and that all looked good to them. They suggested I take it to Nissan, because they couldnt check my transmission or fluid on my type of car. With a barely operating car, I had to drive approx 100 miles as it was a weekend, to get home as a single mom with 4 kids, and to work the next day. I took it to a repair shop who looked at it and immediately determined that I had no transmission fluid. It was suddenly 6 quarts down. It was clear that Jiffy Lube had drained my transmission fluid pan instead of my oil, realized the mistake, closed it up, changed my actual oil, and pretended nothing happened. They sent me on my way- THREE TIMES with the risk of my entire transmission needing to be replaced. I was lucky someone helped me before that happened.I dont trust Jiffy Lube, have requested my money back, but have so far received NO response. The shop I went to wont answer their phone, corporate just forwarded my request to the franchise, and no response from them. I am furious and it is clear these people will lie to your face and do a crappy job. Avoid!
This company is a joke. Everything about this company is a sham. I was an AGM at a store in OH. I work 70+ hours to cover there asses so that said store could stay open and make all the big corporate guys there 6 figure paycheck. Today i was terminated because of faukse accusations. I think its funny how i worked for this company for 2 years and busted my ass for little pay. And this is the thanks i get. I WILL NOT ever recommend anyone to work for this sgam of a company. Over worked and not enough pay.
Horrible service in Memphis TN ! They were unable to remove my oil plug so they rounded it off and stripped the opening. Then sent me on my way after sitting there for an 11/2 . After driving 500 miles to get home I noticed oil dripping from my car. So I took it to the Jiffy Lube here in Lexington KY and they made me aware of the situation. Now I need to go spend more money with a mechanic to get it fixed !!
My experience was and still is a Nightmare! First they place a filter with no gasketed filter on my car. This leads to total oil loss. This leads to 2 tows since it happened late at night. Which leads to a claim which they refuse to pay for one of my tows because it was covered by MY insurance. This being my only emergency tow if I get stranded now I have to come out of pocket vs having my insurance cover. Which lead to Claudia Ibarra a low level claims adjuster with no people or negotiation skill. They have the nerve to put in writing they have negotiated with me a settlement when all they did was give me a number and not even consider my claim of the second tow. This was in the Mukilteo Washington shop.I guess this company like litigation and paying more to solve a problem as well as pissing off customers. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE and ZERO Customer Service. DONT USE THEM
17642 108th Ave SeRenton WA 98055I would like to bring your attention to an unsatisfactory experience I had at your establishment June 10, 2017. Originally, I brought in my Dodge 2015 car on February 12, 2017 and received an oil change. My husband and I noticed banging on the car, so I went and asked why the mechanic was banging on my car. He informed me that he had striped the drain plug and they were replacing it for free. I wrote that down on the receipt I was given but he never put it on the account. Luckily, I had the receipt in my glovebox and while multiple employees watched including Alyssa the Customer Service Representative Lead. I showed them the note on the paper and it was done by an employee who has since been fired. During this two-hour visit, they tried to get the plug off and couldn’t, they got a special 13 gage tool and could not get the plug off either. They did not feel comfortable nor will I allow anyone to drill a hole in any part of my new car due to the damage that an employee did. I expect this to be handled properly, no matter the cost to Jiffy Lube. I had it notated on my account and receipt regarding the drain plug, QCRI needed that the general manager needed to do but not on their day off. I was advised that any damage due to the weight or if the engine seized for example would be paid for by Jiffy Lube with witness to a friend that was there was well.I was informed that Jiffy lube needs to the their QCRI as mentioned above, an auto shop will need to do an estimate on my time and then Jiffy lube would pay for this of course. I expect to have a complete diagnostic test to be done on my car to know the full damage of my new car done by the negligence of the Jiffy Lube employee. Along with the damage done for the Transmission Pan Gasket Leak, including but not limited to replacing the oil pan, the drain plug, the gasket as I was told and any other damage the auto shop finds due to this negligence and deceit of the employee. I will also request that any time wasted for my time or work missed to deal with this issue be compensated and if my car needs to be in the shop a rental car will be provided at no cost to myself.Updated on 06/12/17, I could leave work early unpaid to get this taken care of, I am keeping track of all the hours and time wasted for reimbursement. The district manager was in a meeting until 3, but still unable to talk to the person who they damaged their car and wasted my time. They were still unable to the drain plug off again and wasted more time. I noticed the General Manger go to the back-parking lot and when he came back I asked if he was helping someone else (not in the bay, they were looking inside the trunk) He let me know while he was waiting for the District manager to reply, he was looking at a different car. I let him know that after they damaged my car they should keep me up to date on what they are doing after causing almost a $600 repair. When he told me the district manager was in a meeting until 3, I said I would wait since it was 2 and they needed to handle this right away. He parked my car, left the window down and the keys on the dashboard, which is unacceptable. I went and rolled up my window and locked my car since I was going to be waiting awhile. At 2:45 PM, I was informed they wouldn’t accept the Bucky’s Quote of $503.94 so I wasted more time and went to Dodge and got a quote for them of $597.68. Also during this; they said they refunded but a receipt wouldn’t print for my last oil change. I was also not give the phone number for the district manager or a promise he would call, you would think after damaging someone’s car they would make time.I spoke with their claims repair specialist friday, my car is supposed to be going into the shop and a rental car provided today and now nobody is answering!
I have had the worst two months of my life because of this company who owns Jiffy Lube. I went to Jiffy Lube in Renton,WA. but have been dealing with Heartland automotive because Jiffy Lube (the ones who ruined my car from inexperienced employees trying to remove my oil filter cap) claims its Heartland automotives responsibility. Yet they are A corporate office in Texas not willing and able to help customers like myself who visited their shop states away. From customer service, services provided, to professionalism, this is a HORRIBLE company who does not look out for the consumers. Very disappointed.
There are no words to describe the poor customer service this company has. I have no clue how Eric Garrison keeps a job. There is no point in me explaining the issue I have with them, just know Eric Garrison lacks any kind of common sense what so ever.
My son took his 2004 Nissan Sentra to JL on 127 Long Street San Marcus TX on 8/10/16, and the trained technicians did not replace the oil or oil cap yet charged him $55.00. Needless to say, driving a vehicle without oil in Texas in August resulted in engine failure. Kyle Gunn, District Manager, claimed no responsibility and offered no assistance to resolution. He pushed it off to Erick Garrison, who does not return phone calls. And worst of all, we cannot get anyone from the NASI regional office in Irving to contact us. The web site makes a lot of promises, fancy training statements for staff, etc., but the truth is no technicians go through Jiffy Lube University, and the district managers do not create a culture of accountability. This location has a reputation of predatory sales practices on the students and young adults of Texas State University. Do not go to a Jiffy Lube location owned by Heartland Automotive Services. This location also ruined another persons engine on 8/3/16 by not replacing the radiator fluid after a radiator flush. So much for having a certified ASE mechanic on staff.
Employees did not tighten oil drain plug, found out after 2014 car shut down while driving and caused engine damage. Car had less than 21000 miles. Leon from heartland promised to take care of everything and never heard from him again and no longer answers phone calls. Very disturbing business practices, very dishonest people.Happened at Jiffy Lube Gainesville, FL Location #00404
Las Vegas nv jiffy lube on Decatur and craig. Lied about services performed and now my car sounds like something is loose.
Please note, never get your oil changed with jiffy lube. We had ours changed and they forgot to put the filter back on. Needless to say we need a new engine. The process to get our car back is a NIGHTMARE. We have been in contact ( or lack thereof) with Eric at Hartland Automotive and he NEVER responds to his calls. We had to get a rental with Enterprise and now Enterprise said they have to chard my personal credit card for the rental. This is completely unacceptable. I wish you all had people that can actually help a person instead of voicemails that NO ONE answers. Erik, please call enterprise ASAP FOR CLAIM 11895
Went in for an oil change at Jiffy Lube closest to my home, and they broke the latch that secures my hood. The tech was given the wrong information by the girl at the service desk and I was not notified till after the service was complete. I was told my hood was secure, but I cannot take my car on the interstate now that my hood vibrates going down the road. Very frustrated trying to get in contact with corporate office to give my complaint. I will never take my car there again.
Amazing just amazing also im glad i work for them
My experience with your Store #2663 in lewiston, ID was horrid. The wait was long, the customer service lacking, they did not check everything and then lied about it. They did not check air filters, vacuum or wash windows then said I declined. Never give this company your business.
Terrible they left my oil plug loose and caused my engine to be destroyed. Then they denied my claim when it was clearly their negligence that caused my engine to be destroyed. Now I am filing a claim against them in Court. So it will end up costing them much more now.
These people are the worst to deal with. I was parked in a spot at one of there jiffy lubes and one of their employees hit my car. I talked to the manager at the store of trying to get a contact
Amazing support.
Dont bother calling this company as they will not call you back
Best Ever!!!!
