What did I just pay $30 for? Spots left that could easily be removed with a finger. No compressed air to dry off the wet spots. Now I have to do what they missed. Also not 100% hand as you still have to go through the machine, so not touchless either. Never coming back.

Didnt clean the tires well and smeared the tires only. Didnt wipe as they should. They missed a rim 🤦‍♀️ to top it off, the inside was not done well either. Car wash was good until I watched the guy vacuuming my car scratch up the back bumper with the Vacuum hose. 🤦‍♂️ nothing like fresh scratches all over a perfectly clean rear bumper. YMMV

Paid 50 for a wash and they finish too quickly. Really have to tell them that they missed spots. I had to keep telling them to clean different spots because the roof especially was untouched. Little dirt spots were all over the car. I believe if they cleaned properly from the beginning of the tunnel with the hand wash, it wouldnt be an issue. Then at the end the guy wants to say bad words behind my back and doesnt realize that the Indian guy understands Spanish. Still ended up tipping him. Wont be coming here again

I think one must be fair when reviewing these places - it depends on the cleaning attendant that u get and how dirty your car really is. From what I can see they are definitely hustling to get the car cleaned. What is a huge mistake and understanding is that this is a hybrid of tunnel spraying and washing plus someone cleaning it. It is NOT touchless or brushless In the tunnel which we are disappointed with but all in all I found that the car was clean and no complaints from me. There is a really cute gift shops with lots of greeting cards, like a holiday hallmark ... they offer buy 9 get 10th free or buy a package of 4 discounts - So I will come back

I dont ever write reviews but this is an exception based on my experience. I Just purchased my Lexus in January and brought it to Checkered Flag for its first detail and wax. This was the last week of January. The next day I noticed that the Alloy rims were all stained on the smooth surface. Not only that but wax residue was all over the car and not wiped properly. I tried cleaning the rims off with a microfiber cloth but that didnt help. I called the next day and spoke with Efrain and he said it couldnt have been their fault because they claim that their products wouldnt affect the rims. The next week I went in and both Efrain and Oscar claim it wasnt their fault. No apology. Since then I have been trying to contact Chuck Morris the production manager by voice mail and email and no return contact has been made to me to rectify the situation. Its like he doesnt even work there since I cant get a simple response back. Probably the worst car wash place Ive been to.I have had the Lexus dealership and 2 other detailers inspect the rims and they let me know it is definitely poor care on checkered flags part. Its quite disappointing that a business wont even call me back. Chuck I expect a call this week and an appointment to inspect my rims.

Atrocious behavior by manager and staff in regards to vacuuming and asking to open my trunk. Employee hit my trunk with inappropriately excessive force, after failing to remove even roughly 40% of the dog hair in my back seat, they gave up and claimed they were done. When I asked them to redo it, the manager and his couple other employees went at it for no more than 3 minutes before giving up and claiming a detailing was required but thats exponentially more than the plan I had purchased and couldnt understand why today was different. Ive come to this company on numerous occasions and always buy the same thing. Theyve never had an issue vacuuming my car before but I guess todays manager just threw that down the drain.TLDR- Wont come back here asked for a refund/ credit to right the wrong that was done but dont feel theyll reach out anyways so hopefully this will save your money and you can go somewhere more professional.

Today I went there for the 2nd time. They left not only dirty stains, but also scratches on my door. I noticed it last time that most of workers wear belts with metals or hard objects, and they were leaning on the car to wipe, I was lucky last time but I got scratched this time for sure. Not returning to this place anymore.

Generally there are two kinds of carwashes, Detailed and express. This is not a express service provider, but can you tell me why there is only one man at detail center..? I was told the interior detail need 2 hours+ work...Good luck you guys.

I come here regularly with the 4$ discounts from the OC register for the Super Wash package and Ive been pleased every time. The detail service here is superb: brought my minivan for a carpet shampoo for 60$ including the Super Wash. I didnt expect much from the express service, but Chrisanto and 2 other guys washed 12 mats including the trunk cover, washed, scrubbed and vacuumed the whole interior and steamed out all stains on the carpet and the captain chairs. Almost 2 hours of work. Recommend setting an appointment for any detail service to make sure there arent 8 cars ahead of you.

I like how there is a supervisor of sort (wears red shirt) who goes around and checks and wipes for a meticulous job. 1st time here but seems like I’ll return.Update 10/30/20: 5 stars last time. 2 stars today. I got the luxury wash $30.99 today. There were red spots of wax on the side and on the back of my car, including some dirt on the roof of the car. I had to guide them to wipe it off. And it came off rather easily too! What a sloppy, rushed drying job. Without management walking around like last time, your workers are not doing a proper job. I’d rather drive further away to get my car washed correctly. Especially for over $30 a wash. I just got home and now have to wipe my car down. Unbelievable.

Checkered Flag is a dependable car wash with reasonable prices and online specials. Because of their speed, they sometimes miss spots or don’t fully clean as well as you would expect, but I have never encountered a significant issue when utilizing their services. Plus, their coffee and tea machine and morning pastries are a nice way of showing customer appreciation.

Went for luxury hand wash with great expectations. However, very disappointing service altogether. There was dirt and water marks on the body and coffee stains etc on the dashboard, which were totally unattended. A very unsatisfactory service and customer who is not going back there again.Oh and yeah the lounge is pretty good but what’s the point of good lounge if the wash is no good. And no gas station as well.

Yeah, no. I went here because it’s across the street from where I reside, and thought “oh that’s convenient”. Plus with COVID, I want to limit my exposure outside so I rarely leave the house and when I do it’s only to drive within a few blocks. Upon first pulling in, my first impression was that their prices were high and that should’ve been a red flag (compared to a different car wash I normally go to). First off, it wasn’t busy. When my car pulled out of the wash, 3 men proceeded to clean it. I didn’t watch them in detail, because I figured why should I? Let me enjoy sitting outside without worrying. Well, I should’ve watched them more closely. I didn’t even realize until I got home that my tires did not receive any dressing (absolutely dirty still), many areas of my vehicle were not properly cleaned and I didn’t even receive something as simple as a car freshener (even though the attendant asked me what scent I wanted). 3 men worked on my car and you wouldn’t have been able to tell. I’m disappointed and sick to my stomach that I wasted $30.99 on a car wash that I could’ve gotten from Mobil gas station for $8, or better yet, I should’ve just went to my normal car wash place on Culver and Michelson. For $20 you get a basic wash but they do a thorough job and I’ve never had any issue there. I would never come back to this particular wash, even if it is across the street.

Don’t leave without inspecting your car! I was a first time customer and I am disappointed in them and myself for not reviewing my car before jumping in and taking off. I paid for the luxury wash, more like drive through car wash quality. My front bumper still had bug guts all over it, and the bottom trim was barely touched. Paid $35 and can’t tell the difference between luxury an basic hand wash, can you say rip off!

I also dont ever write reviews. They never cleaned the interior. Never cleaned out side mirrors. Didnt clean the roof. The cup holders still have dirt in there. The quality issue is so bad that it isnt them having a one off sloppy job, it clearly is a reflection of long instilled work habits combined with complacency. The market is saturated with companies like this. Go to another place and save your hard earned money.

Spring 2019: Gave the luxury wash another try. No problems. Earned another star.Fall 2018: Paid for the luxury wash this Saturday and was amazed at how fast they were done given the line. I seemed to have been promoted to vip. That was until I reviewed the work. Somehow I got a huge scratch on my driver side mud guard and side runner . Im guessing blame whoever drove it into the wash. As it must have hit the guide rails. If that werent enough, the car was not clean at all. Look at all the dirt on the vinyl trim and area under door. So in short, paid $30 for a spray wash, smear of vinyl dressing, and hand dry. Hundreds in damage.

The service is pretty standard affair. Nothing to write home about, but then again, it would be odd to expect glowing service asking what level wash was wanted for the hundredth time that day.The wash itself is decent. Decently clean but far from perfect. Exterior oftentimes has remnants of stubborn bird droppings on various body panels but the interior is where my biggest gripe would be.I usually bring my tiny Miata. It’s a small two seater with a back window the size of two average sized palms. Usually remains unwashed. The windshield edges are usually ignored as well, leaving me with a white border around the glass. But again, it’s the same level of cleanliness you get and expect from 90% of other car washes. Not the worst.

Extremely unhappy with their service, took car there today for luxury wash, the only thing they did almost right was vacuuming inside of car and cleanng most of the windows, Dash was not dusted, windsheild had marks on it and console still had granddaughters cookie crumps on it. Passenger side mirror covering and mirro still had bird pooh on it. Rims on passenger side werent cleaned either, they were still very dirty. When I took car back to them to clean passenger side of car they said it was water spots and they couldnt clean it, but if I paid them more money they would clean it. I was so angry said NO I WOULD NOT PAY THEM MORE MONEY. I left there came home cleaned inside windshield, dash and console and then used paper towels and PLAIN water to clean dirt off rims.I would NOT recommend them. I will find another full service car wash to go to in the future.

I got the $26 wash. Im not exaggerating when I say they were done with it in 9 minutes. Didnt get the air freshener smell that they asked me to choose. They didnt even do something so simple as wipe my display screen. There were still spots in my cup holder area as well as many other early cleanable things they didnt bother with. Not worth it.

Went for the first time today. Little bit of a wait to get in, but fairly quick overall. I paid the Super wash. Admittedly, I did not walk around the car when it was done to look at everything, it initially looked good. When I got home (8 blocks later), I noticed the yellow spots were still on the hood and it had new faint scratches. I normally wash myself and therefore notice any changes. If I did not have plans right after, I would have good back to have them correct. Little things I get, but the yellow bird spots still clearly there I do not understand. Seemed too rushed.

I was very disappointed with the quality of my wash! I drove away thinking my car was clean but about 3 miles away the sun hit my windshield and I saw spots and dirt everywhere, also the spray wash was still all over the passenger side of my windshield. The rims had not been wiped down and were very dusty and dirty.I had to pay an extra $4 to treat the tires so the total was $24.99 which was definitely not worth the shoddy work performed.I will definitely never return to this car wash!

DONT USE THIS PLACE!!!! IF YOU DO TAKE PICS OF YOUR CAR FIRST! I used to go here once a month, until today.Story time. I have a 2015 Subaru Forester. I drive it a lot. Back and forth to Utah every few months. The center console That came with it didnt extent. Some did, but mine didnt. It took me months to convince the Subaru dealership that I wasnt crazy and that the extender one was a real part. The part didnt show up in their OEM lists or on any JDM parts lists. I finally was able to show them the part on a model they used for shuttling customers and get them to order and install one in my car. That was 3 ish months ago.Today, I go take the car in for a full detail. $140 detail job. I have had the car cleaned there a lot and they always miss something, but for the 25 bucks, whatever. $140 means I want it done right. Today I pulled up and did a preliminary car tidying. I moved the car seat and all the kids stuff to the back. In my cleaning up I did a check over of the car. No gash in the center console. I come back a few hours later. First thing I do is check through the car. A few minutes into the exam I see the gash on the console shown in the photo. My heart sinks. I seriously had to hunt this effin part ans dropped like $200+ for it just a few months ago. I call a guy over and show him, he gets the manager. The manager (Efrain) comes to look. He starts speaking to his employee in Spanish. hi, I speak Spanish, so I know they are saying that I am lying about it and it was there before. I switch to Spanish and tell them it was not there before I brought it in. Efrain basically tells me it was there before and that I am lying and its my word against theirs.Dude, its not only a screw up, its the one part I hunted for, the part I wanted for my trips. Efrain doesnt help me, he just has me fill out a form so that he can email me later to say they arent going to pay for it. This sucks, accidents happen. People mess up, but to call a customer a liar to his face when its obviously his employees screw up is wrong. Dont use this place. They dont care about you, or your car.

Purchased the signature car wash. Attention to quality is poor, many external areas of the car had spots of dirt that easily wiped off, especially the lower parts of the car. The rims still had alot of dirt even after they wiped. The guys that did the drying did not do a good job. They rushed and seems like they only was wanted the car dry and not clean. I ended up asking for a towel to wipe and dry my 2020 Tesla. Maybe if they thought it was their car they would do a better job.Not satisfied and a unhappy customer. This was the 1st and last time going to this place.

My go to place in Irvine for getting the car spruced up! It can get pretty crowded during the weekends, but hey! When you get complimentary wifi and coffee plus a good outdoor waiting area, you might as well utilize the wait time by catching up with the latest happenings on social media over a cuppa! Polite staff but not always thorough - you have to point out the spots theyve missed cleaning and theyll take care of it. The discount I receive for being an employee of a certain firm makes up for the tip given to the hardworking folks.

They have a sanitizing special that works against the virus on surfaces.Steve, the manager, and Ricardo are fantastic employees who go above and beyond to make sure everything is done efficiently and properly. They are also both very kind, patient, and attentive to their customers.I came in for a mini detail and the car was near brand new again in an hour and a half. Everyone works hard here and does a fantastic job.Lastly, their hours are great during Covid-19 and they regularly have specials and currently any detail is 35% off until June 19th.I took pics of all of their current prices with the sales.

They used to be good...but that was back in like 2004. Every time I take my car here (and I honestly dont know why I still do...probably the convenience factor of living nearby) but every time I leave, water comes shooting out of my side mirrors to leave water spot/stains on the sides of my car. The wipe downs are mediocre at best with a lot being missed. Im usually in a hurry so I dont stop to inspect the car before I leave but the quality has gone downhill so fast here. I wish theyd take a little more sense of pride in the service theyre providing.

I’m being generous with two stars. It’s fine if your car is clean already. Went through auto wash and then dried in the sun while waiting for the hand detail. One guy then used a spray bottle and rag to mist and try and clean what the auto wash missed which was a lot. I pointed out the large swaths of dirt remaining and still didn’t get done. Gave up and won’t go back.

I took our minivan in today to be shampooed, because a gallon of juice tipped over and spilled all over the interior. I asked for just a shampoo and a basic car wash. They went above and beyond to clean the interior and exterior. They cleaned more than just the carpet, wiping everything down, cleaning the seats underneath our carseats, moving everything out of the back area and cleaning it. Weve had a lot of sand that Ive tried to vacuum out, and when these guys finished, it was spotless! It looked amazing! I really appreciated their detail, and they were fair in charging just the quoted price. I would recommend this business.

Great service. They do a good job, good customer service, and they have a nice gift shop inside that sells goodies and some small accessories for your car.Its a bit pricey, the regular wash is like $17 or so, but you get what you pay for. Its a hand-wash and they wash, dry, clean, and vacuum inside and out. Theyre also careful not to throw valuables out of your car.

Really nice car wash. Its easy to get to and the staff is really good. Its a little pricey, but they do a pretty good job. I had to have them clean the back window again because they left water spots on it. But other than that they did a pretty good job

This is not a hand car wash. The car is put on a conveyor and enters a dark tunnel, where there is a very short machine sprayer rinse, two guys feverishly use dirty wash mitts to wash the car but there is very little time while the car goes down the tunnel, there is another short machine sprayer rinse, and then a machine dry. So the only hand part of this is that two people are trying to wash the car in way too short of a time in the dark without being able to see what they are doing. The results are there are a ton of missed areas of the car that come out just as dirty as they were before the wash. Do not recommend.

Efrain (location manager) went above and beyond for the customer experience! First time here and I came for a wash and wax. He took it upon himself and approached me and asked if I needed assistance. We had a chat and we came to realization that my lowered car wont fit on the conveyor system that goes through the tunnel (safely) without having the possibility of damaging the body of my car.So he went ahead and comped me the bucket wash ($35) and just charged me for the regular tunnel wash and wax. I know next time the price will be way more but this was a very kind gesture. This is going above and beyond. He just made himself a loyal customer. I am definitely coming back again time after time for sure.

Fast and dirty is the best description for this place. For $30 wash I wasnt expecting to have to finish the work myself. Areas behind door handles, around the back window wiper, parts of interior, parts of windshield werent even touched and left as they were.

Today was my first time taking my car to get it washed at checkered Flag, Efrain came up to me and Introduce him self, he listened to what my Concern was and what kind of wash I was looking for. When my car was ready it looked brand new like if I just bought it at the dealership. This place has great customer service and they took care of the cars like if it was their car they need to clean I highly recommend this place.

On the rare instance they miss anything, you can tell them and theyll take care of it for you. Paid for wax 70 dollars and it looked like oil all over my car. Took it back they said I would have to wait another 3 hours to have someone to work on it. Got my refund of the wax but not the wash and my car has a film . . It was not great customer service.

Staff and quality of services are always impeccable. Prices have gone up but its worth it when you need a good quick overall cleaning of your car. The free coffee and pleasant waiting areas are a plus.

Everything i go here its a rush. Very little detail to the finer details. I paid for their thriple step wax services. I always walk my truck to make sure it looks good but a week later I started to notice streaks and wax not fully applied and tire shine on my rims more the my tires. Spots inside not getting vacuumed. Just feels really rushed.

They are very fast. BUT they are very lazy to clean inside especially . I purchased the Basic Wash for $19.99 for my mini van. They finished the work within 10 mins. They even didn’t vacuum the 3rd row seats. And the windows were all massed up by their wet clothes. Overall they did not wipe and vacuum everywhere inside. They barely removed dust and stains completely. I recalled one staff to vacuum and wipe. He said I need to pay $35 more if i want a clean car. According to him, the cleaning status I complained is because of that i bought only Basic wash. It is ridiculous. Basic wash means remaining dust and stain???
