They were very kind and professional. They answered any questions I had. I had my liner replaced and they did a better job than the first company that built it. They made sure everything was as tight as can be and they had the most reasonable price! Its great to find service where you dont have to sacrifice quality. I Love It! Going forward no one else can touch my pool but Contemporary Pool Works.

Very helpful, solved the problem without any issue. Called many pool repair businesses prior to them and they clearly are the most knowledgeable. Other places wanted to charge double and were unsure of what/how to fix a pool light. Not the case with Contemporary Pools.

Not very impressed.Paid for their bimonthly service (which was told to us by THEM that that would be sufficient enough service).1st, they came to fix what seemed to be a minor issue. Turned out our pool pump needed to be replaced (not their fault). We ordered a (expensive) pool pump from them to replace ours. However, they charged us $75 for their initial attempt of a fix (which we had to settle when we left the company.)During the time of the pump issue they delayed the service (skipped a week they were supposed to come). We were told we would be charged $40 for them to come out on our off week (...keeping in mind they had not serviced our pool in 3 weeks because of the delay in the service). They did, however, end up coming out and waving the $40 fee.And THENThe pool turned green. We were told by maintenance that it was due to rain. They came and fixed it. A couple days went by and the pool was green again.We also received an email (Im sure sent to their bimonthly customers) that we need to put our own chemicals in during the hot months. This is not a problem, however, I dont see the point of doing that when we are paying for their service. And if that is a requirement of bimonthly customers (which was not told to us in the beginning), then I simply would only offer weekly service.The green pool was the final straw for us. They are very friendly people. Our encounters with them were always very cordial. Just to be first time pool owners, our expectation simply was not met.

Inspection services were completed. Technician was prompt and very thorough. Would definitely recommend!

I contacted CPW when pinecones and debris was sucked up into my filter and clogged the pipes. My prev pool company were not responsive & I haven’t been rendering great service for years. I decided to contact CPW. Within minutes of my email I received a response. They followed up with a phone call as requested & worked us in quickly. Problem was taken care of & I have now signed up for their Maintenance package & can not wait to see the work they do. So far, I can only recommend this company. Very professional & quick to get in touch. Prices are VERY reasonable.

Contemporary Pools replaced the pump for my spa and is currently repairing a faulty valve in the spa heater. Their two repairmen (Austen and Tanner) are both very professional and knowledgeable about their job. The support personnel with Contemporary Pools have always been cordial and helpful and timely in their responses.

The young man, Tanner, was very nice and told us exactly what he would be doing to check on our leak. He explained how he would fix the light in the pool. He was very polite and we look forward to working with Contemporary Pool Works.

Contemporary Pool Works performed a pool inspection at the property Im purchasing in Lexington. I was treated professionally and kindly by the staff on the several calls I had with them. In addition, they were extremely patient and understanding when I had issues with my out-of-state credit card payment. I will definitely be using them in the future!!

We are in the process of buying a new home, and had Contemporary Pool Works come out for an inspection. We’ve worked with a number of pool companies, and I found them to be on of the most efficient and thorough that I’ve ever used. I was impressed with their follow through, and how friendly everyone was that I spoke to. We will definitely use them for our regular service!

I was pleased with the service. The men were here a day before out scheduled appointment, removed old sand and added new sand. Thank you.

Technician had no clue how to operate the pump or clean pool because he directly pumped trash thru the line into the next filter so my line can get clogged. After his cleaning our water level is now to low to turn on pump. I called to let them know and this is their response, you live to far out so we are dropping you, but I dont have to pay for todays service. This after using them for last five years.

We used this place for summerization, pool opening and for a pool class. The summerization appointment was pushed back without notice and then when they DID come out, they hardly did anything and did not put in all of the ladders, citing missing parts. When I called on this I was told there were two visits--one to just open the pool and one to clean it. This was never discussed and I told her this was a new pool to us up front. I asked what to expect. I also got an email stating everything was completed after the first visit and another invoice for installing the railings they failed to install initially for $150 on top of what we already paid. I emailed in response, with photos of the pool and did not not get an answer. When I called, I was told she had not gotten around to checking the emails that day. I was told the second visit was on her radar but not scheduled yet. This was a Thursday.Our pool class was the following Tuesday. Still no second visit by this point. One of the owners came out for this so we took the opportunity to tell him of the service so far--or lack thereof really. He was taken aback and said he would get to the bottom of it and that this was not normal. The pool class was good and appeared thorough and we even asked for a quote on a pool heater. We got one for one of the most expensive ones on the market. After a bit of research, we have discovered in the interim that some of what he told us was incorrect and would have cost us more money had we listened to him. We were billed more for this class than was advertised. He did follow up about the initial confusion but did not take responsibility at all and even seemed to imply that I did not understand her lack of communication. We did get a discounted rate for removing the pool cover ourselves and the lugs to it and filling pool. Bottom line: We were overcharged for lackluster service. The ONE highlight was the guy who was sent to finally clean the pool almost a week later. He was very knowledgeable and did a great job. We have since done a bit of homework and have discovered: 1. We were able to get the parts for our railings and install them NO PROBLEM without drilling new holes in our cement and paying an additional and extraneous $150. 2. Our Polaris cleaner WAS set up properly initially and works just fine. We do not need a new one or replacement parts. 3. Our basket and skimmer box are actually fine and we do not need new ones at all. Considering the rating and reviews we were extremely disappointed and will not recommend or use this company again.

They did a good job of turning my green pool into cristal clean blue.

The scheduling happened as explained when I called for service. It was no calling me again and again. I placed the order for service and they showed up got the job done and was on their way with their day while I was away at mines.

Used this company to upgrade my existing, malfunctioning Jandy control board to the newer iAqualink system. Techs seemed knowledgeable and efficient in their efforts. They remained masked while I was in their presence in keeping with current recommendations. Will use again if the situation arises.

Contemporary Pool Works is currently building our Gunite pool. I have been extremely impressed with their professionalism, promptness, attention to detail, tidiness of their job site and communication.Stephen and his amazing crew came to my rescue after another “pool company” left me with a mess and way over budget. He listened to my concerns and did his best to fix their mess without breaking the bank.Over the last two weeks, this crew has shown up everyday, RAIN or SHINE, and worked ALL day. Chuck has been the foreman for my pool build and I have to say, I’ve never seen someone work so hard and run a crew they way he has.... I would HIGHLY recommend this company!

I have a great pool tech Hosea who does a wonderful job. He is very respectful and responsible. The people in the office have always worked with me to make sure Im a satisfied customer.

The work is not completed as of yet. But what was done I am pleased with. My only issue is I waited for two weeks for the service and the day they came I was not notified when they were on the way so I step out for essentials and because I was not there the job could not be completed. But the people I have talked to are very nice helpful and professional.

Excellent weekly and biweekly pool maintenance service. Chemicals are included in the weekly or biweekly service, so I always know the amount of my monthly invoice. Whenever I have a question or concern, they are very prompt to address it. My tech, John F., is friendly and informative and has always adhered to my requests, including replacing the skimmer sock each time and placing debris in a certain trash can; he never forgets to keep my gate shut or lock it when finished.

Since Hosea has been taking care of our pool I could not be happier. He is thoughtful, responsible, and thorough. He does not put pool debris in my flower beds, in the yard or in the lake. He brings a bucket and takes it with him. My pool is spotless when he leaves. Thank you Hosea!

We purchased a home with a pool in May and Contemporary Pool Works was one of the few companies in the Irmo area that could still accommodate new customers for weekly cleaning service so we decided to give them a try. Their prices are fair for the area, although we were surprised by how much more weekly pool service costs in Columbia versus Florida. CPW does not require a contract, allows customers month-to-month service, and the payment is auto-charged to my credit card making it convenient to pay. We are also able to change our level of service at any time we please, so now that the fall has rendered our pool too chilly to use regularly, we have switched from weekly to every other week without any issues.We had significant issues getting our pool from green to clean (in part due to a leaking seal on the pump piping) but CPW stuck with it and in 4 weeks time our pool was sparkling clean. The owner worked with us to troubleshoot why it was taking so long and we were ultimately satisfied that they had gotten it clean as quickly as possible given the circumstances. They charged a VERY reasonable price for the green-to-clean service.Initially, we were disappointed with how many different service techs came to our home - a different person each week. We felt this made it difficult to ensure each tech knew exactly what had transpired the prior week and to know our preferences. However, after a few months CPW were able to accommodate our request to send the same tech each week, John F.We specifically requested John because he is very conscientious about the care of our pool and respects our special requests (use of a particular trash can, changing our pool sock every other visit). He does not fail to re-lock our gate when he departs and he cleans up behind himself. In addition, John is articulate and Ive enjoyed many conversations with him.Amelia in the front office has been a pleasure to work with as well. She follows up when she says shell do something, she is very knowledgeable about the billing process and quickly makes adjustments to billing if needed, and she is friendly each and every time I call.Overall, we would not hesitate to recommend Contemporary Pool Works to new customers.

Very disappointed with inspection that was done before I purchased my new home... previous employee lied on fraudulent inspection report that heater, filter etc was all excellent working order. As soon as I moved in found out it all was not working, over 11,000 spent later and shoddy service, no call backs in timely manners as other repairs failed I finally gave up. The people are nice that come out and clean..but since their employees come and go they continually leave baskets at pump clogged with leaves, never came out and fixed shoddy workmanship on filter that tips to side when replaced, heater rigged but does not work as designed...so many issues...polaris taken in a couple times, charged for repairs never happened.....you get the drift... I head up a company globally.. and one thing I do know is customer relationships are Paramount as well as standing behind your word and your work this is something this company does not understand.
