Went to pick up a car through my insurance, was given a car that smells of cigarette smoke, but since they pulled up the car with the windows down did not smell it right away, then they gave me another car that the seats were dirty, I had yo ask them to vacuum it, with COVID, they are supposed to disinfect the cars, but obviously they are not doing that, this 2nd car has a strange smell as well, but I am too tired to waste my time to get another from this location- I would never rent from here againUpdate: since the shop extended my repair time I requested to change out the car and they offered me another vehicle that also smelled like smoke, when I told them no thank you, they ended up offering me another car that had hair and bits of food still in the handles of the door! I told the rep that they advertise that they are supposed to disinfect each car, why in the world were they offering me a car that had food and hair from a previous renter!! Finally they offered me this car...see pictures. I took it because I was tired of waiting at this point and at least had no smoke smell, but I have NEVER had this experience with any other car rental company.I have no idea if they just dont have a proper cleaning process or what but I am 100%sure I will never rent through Enterprise and will let USAA know of my experience so hopefully they will switch providers of rental vehicles

Excellent selection of cars.Picked me up at the repair shop and drove me to the rental lot, five minutes later I was on my way in my rental.When I needed to pick my car up at the shop, I drove to Enterprise and within a few minutes my rental return was complete, and an employee was driving me to the repair shop. No extra charge for the pick up and drop off service!Easy online booking, good prices, and no headaches.
This experience in totality didn’t deserve FIVE Stars! To be specific the communication between the on-site associates, customer service support number, and the local sales team fell short. I typically over-communicate (in advance ) any foreseeable issues or concerns. This time wasn’t any different. I made it known & very clear my concerns about the drop off time and preferred to drop the rental off at a different location to avoid late fees, delayed time, etc. I was not advised in advance the Irmo location policy would prohibit that from happening. I found out after attempting to drop the vehicle off at the airport. Total inconvenienced! After requesting a return call from the Regional Manager to discuss my experience I had already prejudged the outcome as unfavorable. I COULD NOT HAVE BEEN MORE WRONG. Kelsey Briggs depicted customer service skills that represent professionalism and fairness. To begin her tone was even and her listening skills were impeccable. She most certainly made up for the haphazard service & communication level given by previous associates. I felt vindicated and respected. It’s always important to simply “listen” & demonstrate ownership of misguided communication. ”. Ms Briggs did she a remarkable job I gave the location another star and would certainly recommend and use them again for future needs.
Great and friendly service. Enterprise provided me with a clean and reliable vehicle while my car was being serviced. They picked me up from the auto repair center and when the repairs were completed on my car I was able to leave the rental car at the repair center. Easy.
I use to love coming and being a customer of this establishment. I will no longer come here again for rentals. Do yourself a favor and do not waste your time with this rental place. Since Pamela left the previous manager the place has went downhill. The new manager is rude, not friendly and no customer service professionalism about himself.
Excellent customer service from start to finish! My experience in person and over the phone was great. The associate was very helpful with scheduling my rental and extending my rental. My rental car was very clean and ready fir me at pick up. Highly recommend this location.
Service was great with the drop off and the sales representative that assisted me with the initial rental. The next day I called to inquire about a longer rental and the associate was very resistant to help. She did not care about helping me nor providing me with a longer rental agreement. I was very disappointed. I returned the car that same day. The gentleman and lady that helped were very friendly however they never asked why I was returning the car early....6 days earlier than originally planned. A 19 day car rental turned into 1 due to 1 sales person.
Car was dirty inside and out. Had to clean the inside before I could pack for vacation. Van kept pulling as though it needed a front end alignment and with winds made driving difficult at timesOverall Chrysler makes a smooth riding van with plenty of space for comfortable ride for passengers and plenty of room for storage. Thoroughly enjoyed the ride.
I needed a rental with enough cargo space to securely transport a new chair and made an online reservation through Enterprise. I contacted the following day to confirm availability of a Ford Edge and Prince answered the call. He informed he didnt have an Edge and offered other recommendations. I paused to consider cargo space, he asked my need for the vehicle, I replied a move of a chair and without hesitation he suggested a Dodge caravan with seats that fold into the floor. I accepted and when I arrived the seats were neatly folded down and I transported my chair with ease. Thank you Prince and everyone working at the branch on 4/8/20-4/9/20. You helped relieve a task I needed to complete within a weeks time. Thank you so much!
I selected the U Pay, We Pick option online and ended up with a full size SUV. The vehicle was great! I’m actually looking into buying one now! The staff was very friendly and helpful and the rental process itself was quick and easy!

Although a sign was on the door saying the lobby was closed, employees were inside and the door was unlocked. With mask on, I poked my head inside because I was returning a vehicle. A very rude young woman hollered to wait outside. Car smelled of smoke and a vent air freshener was put in but did not help. Gentlemen who took car back said he’d comp gas for the next rental. He was very kind and apologetic but not sure how comping gas will happen when you have to bring it back with the sane amount of gas you had to begin with.
Very easy access. Rented car was ready when we picked it up. The agent was very nice and explained added features we can have, like phone, GPS, etc., if we decide to have them. Everybody in that location was wearing masks. It make us feel safe.
After the second request for feedback, I will provide....First, I used the mobile app to book a particular vehicle over a day in advance from the particular location. The morning of the pickup i received a call from the location advising that they did not have that vehicle but they were attempting to get one. They would call if they could not get it. (why did the app allow me to book a specific vehicle they were not prepared to provide?)I went, at the scheduled time to get my rental...they did not have a vehicle ready AND when they did get a vehicle it was not the vehicle I requested, (and that the rep. had confirmed earlier he would get), I would then have to wait another 20 minutes, (after already being there for about 20 minutes already) to have it disinfected. Needless to say after all this, I wasnt about to wait.Why be given the opportunity to book a specific vehicle on the app from a very specific location, get a call from a representative only to have that booking basically ignored?Maybe Hertz or Budget can do a better job, I will find out.

The workers at this location were very unprofessional. Somehow the person, who turns out to be the manager, I spoke with on the phone the day prior set an appointment for 9:30 a.m which I had no idea about. I told him I would be there after 9 because he told me they open at 9. He never said I’ll set an appointment for you. I arrived at the location before 12 p.m and the woman working there says that we weren’t there before 12 and they’re out of cars. Also spoke to a man there who also did nothing to help and kept repeating they were out of cars. I’m frustrated that a reserved car isn’t reserved and given away at leniency. Also, tried several times to contact them before I arrived, however, no one answered the phone. Now I’m stuck without transportation for a few days. Very unprofessional and the staff needs to increased in order to handle the amount of customers expected on a busy Saturday.
This experience was not good this time. The car was not that clean and it smelled of marijuana. They tried to give me another vehicle and it smelled of cigarette smoke, so I kept the car and sprayed air freshener in it daily. Maybe they should have a set of vehicles for smokers, because those customers dont seem to care about paying extra for smoking in those vehicles, the only ones that suffer are the customers that dont smoke.

This used to be a great place to rent a car. Lately however I have been rather disappointed with their service. Our last rental car was so filthy inside we were beyond appalled. The interior windshield was so filthy it was actually a driving hazard! We brought this to the attention of Enterprise when we brought the car back early. We were only offered a 20% discount but due to no touch checkout we realized when we got home & looked into the charges that we were not given the discount offered to us. Im not sure I will continue to do business here. I will update this post if or when the situation changes.

My car was totalled in a not at fault accident. The other insurance company gave me a rental through enterprise. Enterprise not knowing when i asked how long i would have the rental told me they would call a day or two in advance to let me know when to bring the car back. Which they did not. And when asked about it they nonchalantly said they cant always and still proceeded to charge me more. As a single mom with no help and one income this was extremely frustrating. They just want to rack in money and do not care about the customers they are seeing. I would not recommend them and would recommend using locally owned rental lots who actually understand what it means to be a person and not looked at like a check.
Not happy with the initial service, but the resolution was satisfactory. I reserved a full size car, but when I picked it up I was told they only had 2 pickups or a large SUV available - neither of which I wanted for a road trip. Then I was told the SUV was taken so I only had the choice of a truck or... a truck. I took a truck and when I turned it in, I expressed how I felt. They discounted the price to make up for the poor experience, so ultimately I felt like they made it as right as they could.

Easy pickup and easy return without any issues. Good price, it wasnt quite as low as the airport, but it was worth the $20 not to have to drive to the airport.
Took them almost 30 minutes to clean the car..all they did is wash it. I ended up finding glass in the driver seat, open Miller lite can and a condom under the seat.
HORRIBLE AND THEY LIE!Returned a car the same way I rented it. Car was inspected by both of us and they lied, said it was damaged and said they called me back to let me know and they did not. They Filed a damage claim without my knowledge after renting to another customer. ABSOLUTE FRAUDS;
Car wasnt ready for rental when we arrived. Agent didnt go over functions of car. Had to ask about functions. Wanted another $50 but wouldnt take cash. This was an accident rental and insurance company was paying the bill.

I was told to call Pam after I called the Harbison location, and explaining the situation with Lexington. Within 30 minutes Pam and her team had us on the road! 5 stars to Irmo and Harbison......and 0 for Lexington!!

We will never rent from you people again so enjoy they money. For a six day rental on a Chevy Impala with awful air conditioning and faulty suto start it was a nightmare. Almost 700.00 to rent for six days. I will post this information on every platform I can find buyer beware they nickel and dime your bill then email it to you after you leave. Thieves
The Broad River office is the one I went to. Mostly for convenience. Young man by the name of J. (sorry cant remember the name) was very pleasant. Got there early, ready to go, got an upgrade!! The vehicle was awesome!!! Drove my girls to New Orleans and they were sooo impressed! RECOMMENDED by 5 very happy women
I rent from this branch several times per month. This branch recently had a major staff change. The prior staff was lead by Adam. Everyone there knew me by name and really took good care of me. They made me feel important. So far, the new staff has been friendly and helpful. I hope this will develop to the same personalized service I received in the past. I also wish I could leave my car at the agency parking lot rather than take it to their alternate lot.
My personal vehicle was totaled and the responsible party’s insurance allowed me to get a rental through enterprise. I chose this location because they were the only ones that would pick me up. The pickup was fine. I made the reservation online ahead of time and when I got there they didn’t have the type of vehicle I requested, a midsized crossover/SUV. Instead, they gave me an enormous Dodge truck, which just cost me more money because of gas and it was exceptionally uncomfortable to drive. They offered nothing but a mere apology for this inconvenience. I went back in a couple of days later, when I could fit it into my schedule, and switched it out for something smaller, a Nissan Murano. That car was fine. I went to return it and they wanted to take my ENTIRE deposit because there was “excessive” dog hair in the vehicle. There wasn’t (I wish I would’ve thought to take a picture. These people were ridiculous.). We never even had our dog in the car. Maybe it was from us? Or our laundry? I don’t know but I do know they don’t know what the word excessive means and are extremely rude. They basically called me a liar and ganged up on me. I ended up going down the road to Dollar General, getting a roll of masking tape, and got what little dog hair there was out of the car. It was about 85 outside so significantly hotter inside the car, I’m sure. So, apparently, buckets of my sweat are better than a few dog hairs. All the while my husband is trying to calm our screaming, now past his nap time two year old.Update: I contacted them as requested below. They completely ignored me and I never heard anything back.

Everything was great except for not knowing there was a $200 deposit. I was not the only one in the building that day who had reserved online and had no idea that there was a deposit required. It may be on the reservation site, but it needs to be much more visible. I had to shorten my reservation in order to afford the deposit. Luckily I had someone that was able to go with me to return the car and then take me to the airport the next day, but most people cannot change their plans that easily or quickly.
I cannot express the utter disappointment this branch is. I was in a horrible accident and my insurance set up a rental for me. Not only did this branch send me around to 3 other locations(taking over an hour), they assured me and my insurance provider they would stay until 2:15 to allow me time to get a car. So $80 in uber fees and here well before 2:15 and Im stuck outside in the cold with no car. I will never use enterprise. I will pay out of pocket for a rental elsewhere to not have to deal with this laughable excuse of a business.

I frequently use the enterprise Downtown but had to use this one for a quick rental. I feel like I cheated on my usual spot because the customer service here was just as joyful as my regular spot. They even helped me out and was always very courtious . There was many times were I had to extend my time I initually needed and they were always like No problem, we got you! See you when you get back! I felt so close to royalty on how I was treated. Thanks enterprise !!!
I used Enterprise while my car was in the repair shop for 2 weeks. They did not have the car I requested at the time, which was not a deal breaker for me. As they promised to exchange the rental when it became available for what I was intended to receive. 3 days later Enterprise exchanged my rental, with no issues. I am pleased with Enterprise and their staff members. The employees at this location treated me with respect and made sure that all my needs were met every step of the way. They maintained a high level of professionalism and explained everything to me clearly. Overall I would recommend this location to anyone needing a rental. Thank yall very much :).

Reservation made online one week prior to rental date. Confirmed the availability on the morning of the rental date. Arrived on time, received a free upgrade, and was on the road within 5 minutes. Yes, I was offered the additional insurance which I am sure is standard protocol for all Enterprise employees. I politely declined and was not bothered further. I turned the vehicle in on time and was out the door in less than 5 minutes. I found this Enterprise location to be very professional, efficient, and friendly. Thanks to the employees at this location I had a great weekend.
I had a great experience with Enterprise. When the associate discovered I needed a bigger vehicle to fit my needs, he found one for me and at a price that was just slightly more. I bought the insurance because going out of town, I thought it was best. The customer service was great - I believe the associate who helped me was William. They even gave me a small discount I guess for not leaving the vehicle in a mess. I just want to say thanks to William. :)

The car selection is nice. They are prompt and very friendly. Very convenient and not sticklers on how much gas is in the tank. Also, they are not pushy on the insurance.My *only* complaint is that when you get into the car and you see the big round stickers that say NO SMOKING and yet the car smells like an old hotel room. I realize its no fault of Enterprise, because people like to break rules; however, as a non-smoker, I cant stand the smell of smoke. It seems like there should be a penalty or something if someone returns the vehicle and it smells like an ashtray.To Enterprises credit, they were very helpful in switching out vehicles.

I have rented many cars at the Irmo SC Enterprise rental agency over the past 3 years, I am a Gold Star member. I have had poor service, conflicting rates given over the phone vs at the desk as a walk in and spent an inordinately long time at nearly every visit.. I have spent the longest continual time for the rental process in my life at this agency. Once it was over 2 and a half hours on a Sunday afternoon trying to get a car with Sirius. Today was the last straw, as I was told I cannot rent a car there anymore. Thank God and point me towards Hertz, more money but a 10 minute process with a great staff.

Dont trust booking @ Enterprise online if you are looking for a specific type of vehicle. They probably wont have what you book when you arrive. They need to fix their online bookings with real-time inventory. Enterprise wasted my time and money today chasing down an available vehicle. I finally found what I needed with Avis on the first attempt.

I give 4 stars due to the service and friendliness. I have used Enterprise many times. In my most recent experience, the cars were not in great shape, however. I refused the first one due to a bashed-up fender and bald tires. The very nice car they replaced it with was an upgrade, but pulled so hard to the left, it was tiring to drive on the interstate. NOT my typical Enterprise experience, but a bit disappointing. Still, easily 4 stars. These guys are very customer friendly.
I have nothing but good things to say. ..the staff is great and very helpful, no problem picking up or dropping off car and when I had a dead battery they sent someone out to jump it off within the hour. They make car rentals led stressful and I recommend the broad river rd site for anyone looking for easy and affordable.

I had a great experience overall. My only gripe is I had a rental through an insurance claim and needed to get an upgrade for a larger vehicle for 9 days and was quoted $58 to latter find out it would be $163. I am an Enterprise Plus member and never received my 1 free upgrade that someone else just told me about.
We got an incredible deal for the weekend on a car. However, the car was filthy. The seats had huge stains on them. When I brought it to the attention of the gentleman checking the car in, he said that it was because it had a light interior and that even if they were to clean it, it would have lines in it from the extractor. I personally would rather know that the car had been cleaned than to think that someone prior to me had a terrible incontinence problem that was not addressed. That is how stained up this car was. Again, what do you expect for $10 / day? I expect more. I have been dealing with Enterprise for a long time and they always stood for excellence, no matter the price. I will try again, but, if all the cars start looking like that one, I will go elsewhere.
I love the people that work at this location. They always have my car ready when I get there and the staff is so friendly! I have been renting cars 2 to3 times a week from them for a year and it has been a very enjoyable experience!

This was absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced...the one at Columbia Metro Airport. Terrible. Wasted 1.5 hours of my time. Were not willing to work with me at all. Customer service agent behind desk never looked at me, only looked at computer screen the entire time. Manager was rude and unwilling to even empathize.
I was picked up by Enterprise at my home and received a rental within an hour. My security deposit was credited back to my account very quickly; even though the rental was returned to an alternate location. Having such courteous and professional associates to engage with relieved so much of the stress associated with a personal vehicle total loss.

Ive used this Enterprise for my personal and business rentals After how I was treated today Ill never come to this location again. I had two simple issues with my rental that Ive had for 2 weeks and the associate helping me simply would not listen to my concerns and that I should take it to get it repaired, as if Im not busy with my own work schedule. Also the cars onstar will not connect, this associate was dodging my concerns instead of trying to help me. Well pick you up, not at this location. The 4 associates sitting at their desk had no concern, worst customer service Ive experienced.

The best! We broke down in a town 45 minutes from our new home, where we didnt yet no anyone. It was close to closing time. They sent someone to get us, then brought us back to the office for paperwork. Ten minutes later we were out the door. Amazing service from the Newberry team!
WOULD GIVE 0 STARS IF COULD!! Worst place ever, workers were nice, manager is rude, needs to be fired. Went to get a vehicle for the week and verified it a couple weeks ago, went to get it today and they didnt have it. Guy helping us was nice and offered us an alternative and we said we didnt want the alternative offer they had. Manager comes out and says were not gonna rent you a vehicle. Left and went to a different one and got the vehicle with no problems and they were way better than this one.
Service sucks!!! Brandon who served me gave me the raggedy car on the lot all scratched up on the inside and the outside. When asked could I get another car he told me no his manager told me to give me that car. Any other enterprise I went to I always get the selection of the car he was not in to my opinion of my car selection now the service light is on for a oil changed and no one will answer the phone first time using this enterprise and probably last. If I wanted to drive a basic ass car I would have drove my own. My money was not worth this rental for my birthday weekend very disappointed customer.
I had requested the same type vehicle that I had previously rented and and received a bit smaller vehicle. Room for 7 but no room for luggage. I had also related that the previous vehicle was nasty and had cat or dog hair everywhere. This rental I was told that the vehicle was being cleaned before I would be receiving it. When I picked up vehicle it was freshly washed outside but inside had sticky substance on seats and floors nasty. Unfortunately I did not discover all this until I got home and we started loading vehicle. So we cleaned it ourselves. When we brought vehicle back after trip, they immediately took truck back to get washed, then the next person was inspecting for rental. I’ve rented a lot through enterprise and usually does well, but lately not.
They really do pick you up. A useful service when you need a rental. I experienced good customer service at your location. I have rented from other agencies, but prefer Enterprise because their agents have always been courteous and helpful. I have and will continue to recommend Enterpise to others.
I always enjoy renting from Enterprise because the people are always super friendly and upbeat. Not always easy to do when working with the public, but they do it! The vehicle, however, was terrible. We reserved a full size car and were upgraded to a Jeep Renegade. We were driving into snow so we thought it might be better, however, there was NO wiper fluids and I had NO idea how to fill it!! So dangerous!!! Also the vehicle was bare bones, no padded seats, the interior of the car was not meant for long trips. One of the worst cars Ive gotten from them for this particular trip. Good service, terrible vehicle.

Horrible experience. I was hit head on and my insurance company contacted enterprise to get me in a vehicle. They assured her they had one for me so I drove 45 minutes to this location only to get turned down. The guy said he couldn’t even tell me which one has one available which a supervisor later informed me was a lie. I’ve gotten the run around for a whole day and still no car, I’ll never waste my time again.
An agent picked me up from the body shop, and very quickly had me in my rental. It was a smooth experience from start to finish. I left my rental at the body shop when I was done, and everything happened automagically :)

My experience at Enterprise is always first rate. This time my notice was short because I was about to embark on a trip when my car broke down. Enterprise did not have the economy car I requested so they substituted a bright red BMW convertible. (for the economy price). We took our trip in style!

Staff is always friendly and helpful. Ive rented from this location several times for both business and pleasure. However it does help to have an online reservation. It speeds up the process.

I would give five stars but one of the last times I went the first car they had for me sold that day, which I guess they didnt realize until I got there, so they put me in another one but the windshield was cracked. They decided to put me in another one and because of the wait told me theyd take care of putting gas in it. When I get in there was not much over a quarter of a tank. I called and was told they only put in half a tank and its hard to tell when it gets there. Well, they should have said theyd take care of the gas for my inconvenience and wait if they could deliver. I think it was just a ploy to keep me happy while I was in the store waiting but overall my experiences with this branch have been 10 times better than Harbisons.
Rented a truck online, got confirmation, but when I went to the Broad River Road location there was nothing. The apparent manager Danielle, was rude, was not willing to make any effort to help us find an alternate location, and encouraged us to leave. Have never seen worse service, and after being a loyal customer for more than 15 years, will never go back to Enterprise. Im a physician, and my colleagues and I rent vehicles often. I will do my best to see that all of our business goes elsewhere.
Initial rental went OK. Vehicle was nice. However, trying to contact the location where I rented by phone was a terrible experience. They let the phone ring forever. Finally I gave up, and just went there. While I was in the location, I heard the phone continuously ringing in the background, with no attempt by anyone to answer. Seems there was only one employee there taking care of onsite customers, and he just ignored the phone. I dont really blame the employee - seems they were understaffed.I returned the car to a different location, which went pretty well - except that the promised emailed receipt was never sent to me.
The staff is always friendly, helpful and prepared for the traffic in the office. Typically the vehicles only have 1/4 tank of gas when Ive rented but a full tank would be helpful for long trips.
The girl (Danielle) tried to trick me into buying their insurance.First, she told me my car was not ready even though I had an existing reservation. She said the car would be available after someone returned it. After some back and forth, her manager said I could get another car.When checking out, I told her that I did not want to buy insurance because I already had collision coverage from my auto insurance. She said I had to get a comprehensive coverage as well. So I told her it was provided by the credit card I used to pay for the rental. She said she needed to call the bank to verify coverage and went inside. After a while she told me the bank said my card did not have the coverage.A couple of days later I called the bank and I was told that my card actually had rental car coverage. The girl is a liar, plain and simple.
