We got married in the height of the pandemic, and Big Ten Rentals saved the day! We moved our original wedding venue from a theater to our backyard - and Big Ten provided the perfect tent with whimsical lighting and a beautiful black carpeted floor. We appreciated your kindness during a difficult week - it made for the most precious and beautiful wedding!!!

The staff were extremely accommodating. We have rented vehicles 2 times in 3 weeks to move our college student to and from storage. When the truck we rented was not available, they came up with an acceptable solution, promptly. I appreciate their flexibility and excellent customer service! Highly recommend this location for your rental truck needs in the future!

I rented a sound system and canopy tent for my wedding.There were several frustrating things we experienced:1. When my father-in-law went to pick up items he said he waited quite a while before anyone helped load tent. He had to go back in to make sure someone was actually bringing it out to the vehicle.2. The canopy tent was dirty, soaking wet, and not white like I was promised when reserving the rentals.3. We were also given the wrong poles for the tent.4. When I called to see what could be done, I was told we could swap out the black and yellow tent top for a white one which we confirmed twice was in stock. My father-in-law immediately went to pick up white top and was told there werent any. He had to drive half an hour one way to do this.5. One of the canopy tents we were given instead was very dirty and unusable. One was broken on the pole and we had to duct tape to get to stand up.6. The microphone to the sound system didnt work.I contacted the manager and their sales team and they have not offered any apology or refund. Overall, we were very disappointed with our experience at Big Ten Rentals. The tent situation slowed down our set up process by at least three hours and delayed the rehearsal dinner. We have never had any issues like this with other rental companies. Go to Aero Rental instead!!

Rented a karaoke machine & slushie machine. Joe Murphy went above & beyond to make sure the equipment was set up properly. He made two separate visits to our home to help us work out some kinks. Costs were reasonable & they were very accommodating with pick up & drop off. Thank you!

I can’t post videos but big ten is not the people to work with! I run my own company and rely on renting a dump to complete my work. When I first got there he asked what I needed and I said “I’m here to pick up a dump trailer” his immediate response was “we don’t have any” so I said “that’s weird cause I called 2 hours ago to reserve it”. He still don’t care to help and insisted of me just leaving the store. After being called a loser construction worker and being told I wasn’t gonna get a trailer even tho I reserved it. I was told to leave or the cops would be called. Needless to remind you all I was there for was to pick up a trailer I reserved. And a trailer I have reserved plenty of other times. I’m very disappointed in big ten allowing there employees to curse and be disrespectful to returning customers! If I were you I would just go to aero rental

Very rude. Man acted like I was lying when I called night before to return trailer and was told wouldn’t be charged next day if I still brought it in the morning “, which we did. Still got charged. Was basically told I should be able to tell man from women off the phone cause they only have two ppl who work phones. Loss frequent renters. Will take my $ somewhere else

I absolutely love this place. Way better than most rental places. Wish I could give 10 stars. They deserve every star especially their friendly office staff up front.

Very horrible service. They don’t know treat you with respect or never show respect. They are never around when you need to get in contact with them or anything. And at the front desk is worse. You can be waiting for 5 minutes before someone finally comes and do their job. They are mot professional nor responsible here. They don’t care about customer service

First review. Though I had some troubles in the past. They have really turned the place around. All of my merchandise came on time the two guys were very polite. The guy who helped me with my order was very polite as well. Last year this review would have been very different. Hope this helps someone.

Big Ten Rentals was super responsive & efficient. We were really pleased with the outdoor dance floor we rented from them for our wedding! Would recommend!

Not a good experience. The tent we received was filthy and soaking wet, half the ropes were paracord instead of actual rope, and they gave us the wrong poles to put it up. Then we ran all the way back into town to receive the color we were supposed to have in the first place, they didnt have the correct color. This was after confirming with them on the phone that they did. Then they got defensive and grumpy when we asked for a discount. Not worth the hassle, go somewhere else.

The front desk was very unhelpful and rude. I would think you’d want to be nice to the people giving you money. I would rate 0 if I could

We placed order for grad party to get tent and French windows, paid for everything and then when we picked it up they didn’t give us the sides we ordered and paid for.They apparently didn’t have any French sides left and instead of telling us they just sent the tent home with us with no sides after we drove 30 minutes to get it and then 30 minutes to get it back home. When we called they knew they were out of French sides and they said that’s why they sent the tent home with us without any sides. Unprofessional and generally worst experience we have had with renting anything.Don’t waste your money here.

The store is disgusting and smells terrible. No organization, looks like an old persons garage. Waited 5 minutes before anyone acknowledged me at front desk. Guy was okay but my tables and chairs were filthy and old. Had to get nicer stuff..GO TO AERO RENTAL. Professional, clean items.

Fair pricing. Had to switch the week of my rental and they did it without complaint or charge. Then I left the rental dolly at home and they didnt charge me extra.

Weve used Big Ten for a few different events weve hosted this summer and have had nothing but a great experience each and every time! Not only do they blow competitors pricing out of the water, but they are amazing to work with -- very friendly and professional. We actually rented an item that Big Ten does not carry through another company in town and it was a nightmare (super expensive and the workers were full of attitude), which makes me even more appreciative of the service that Big Ten provides. I worked with Big Ten Rentals for an event that I was planning to rent their synthetic ice skating rink. I had never used this product before nor had I ever seen it. The friendly staff was always willing to work with me. They answered all of my questions, were responsive to my emails, and always returned my phone calls. The team that came to unload and set up was fast and efficient. I couldnt have had a better experience. It seemed a little pricy at first, but after the event was over I received so many shining reviews from those who attended. I would highly recommend using Big Ten Rentals for any rental need! They are awesome!

Not a good experience but that was in June of 2018 so perhaps there is new management at this point. But as I prepare for another graduation, I decided to write a review to warn others of this business. Equipment was so very dirty that we had two family members scrubbing all morning. Even after cleaning, we hesitated to use the popcorn machine. Also had some unethical behavior from a salesperson that we had to confront.

Inquired about renting cash machine. Whoever I spoke to on the phone was very short and informed me that we were three hours away. I asked how much it would cost to ship. He said A lot. I said, Ok, whats a lot? His answer the second time was also A lot OK, now Im doing my best to keep smiling. I say Whats a lot, like $150 each way? (because I would have paid that). No, itd be $1100. I said OK, well take a pass then (politely, still smiling) and all I heard in response wasclick.

Poor customer service got the equipment to my event and it would not work properly equipment went in and out all night. You could not hear on the speakers they was not clear at all. The rep told me that this would not happen but it did..

Big Ten Rentals is a great company. Their rentals are always in great shape and other places Ive called just could not match their prices. I am positive I will be doing business with them again in the future.

Friendly staff but had a bad experience. I use to rent from these guys all the time that they know me by name. Rented an earth auger that came with dull bit to do 30+ fence posts, it wouldnt dig more than a few inches. Ended up having to dig all post holes by manual post hole digger that took my entire weekend. Asked for a refund but got the run around and never refunded.

Very friendly staff, happy to answer questions about which moving truck would be appropriate for my move. Truck was in great condition and was competitively priced. Will rent from them again!

I cannot emphasize in strong enough terms how incredibly dissatisfied I am with this company and how betrayed I feel. They are a bunch of thieving bastards.We recently moved to Iowa City and weighed our options for a moving truck. We decided, based on the price we were quoted by the staff at Big Ten, that we would rent a Penske truck from them. The staff at Big Ten assured us that mileage was unlimited and we would be charged a flat fee, not for mileage.However, when we returned the truck a few minutes ago, Big Ten failed to honor the terms we had agreed to and we were charged almost double what we were quoted. We would have gone with a cheaper option had the staff been honest with us. They LIED to our faces and STOLE hundreds of dollars from us.I will be giving negative reviews for the company to every person I meet.

Worked for an organization that used Big Ten and although they bring the equipment needed, they are often late and push our schedule back.
