Excellent place! These guys saved us. Our front axle gave out whilst on the way to Arizona so I had the tow truck drop us here on a Saturday night. They opened up on the Saturday evening to put the car inside, they started working Sunday morning and found a new part and had the new axle installed within a few hours for a reasonable price. Can’t fault it 5 stars all the way.

We had just moved to the valley and my vans engine stopped rolling over. I thought it was the battery so my husband dropped a new one in and it still didn’t work. Being new to the valley, we went on google to fine a mechanic that was highly rated. Martinez auto repair had by far the highest customer ratings, so we gave them a try and they did not disappoint! At first when I rolled up, I wasn’t sure I was at the right place. I was greeted kindly and soon Jeff was able to come out and take a look at my van. Turns out that the starter was faulty. Jeff was fantastic about taking pictures of what they were doing and the quality parts they were using, keeping me in the loop throughout the day via text message! They also preformed some basic maintenance that I was behind on! I was so impressed with their professionalism and how quickly they were able to get my van in and out. I called out of the blue at 10:30 am, dropped it off around lunch time and had it back by 6pm the same day! I felt that the price was so reasonable too. I’m sure anywhere else would have taken advantage of a last minute call coming from a woman who is new to the area and doesn’t know anything about cars. We will definitely be returning!!

This is by far the most honest, informational and best mechanic in Indio! Talk about being informative. Jeff was such a blessing to have as a mechanic. Even when my mothers car wasnt physically able to make it to his shop, he came to our location to look at it and give an assessment. When the car got there, he did an amazing job and was constantly in touch with us. He would hunt for the best deals, so we wouldnt spend so much money. I can’t recommend Jeff and his father enough. They explained everything to me thoroughly and left my tire off to show me exactly where the issue was. Unfortunately my car was too rusted to fix, but instead of charging me for repairs and potentially causing more damage they gave me really solid advice on how to handle the situation. Their diagnostic fee is half of what Firestone charges and if you go ahead with the repairs they take the diagnostic fee off the estimate. If you have car trouble absolutely come here first, they will treat you like family!

Jeff did not work on my car until 2 hours that I had been there waiting and was extremely rude and unprofessional. He did not give me an explanation of what was wrong with my car, what he did to repair the damage, and did not tell me when he was done working on my car; I actually had to go up to him and ask if my car was done since it had been sitting there for 15 minutes. When asked if it was okay to leave because I had been there for 3 hours he very rudely and sarcastically said and I quote What do you want me to do? Dance?. He then preceded to purposely work on cars that were blocking the way to leave. We were stuck there waiting until he finally told others to and I quote Move the cars so could THEY can leave in a very distasteful way. Overall, each time I have gone to get my car fixed he has always been 1 or more hours late and has customers waiting. Do not recommend unless you want to wait 1 hour and 30 minutes to be seen and wait even more so he can actually start working on your car. If you do not point of that he is unprofessional then you will not be mistreated.

We are so blessed we found this auto shop. Our battery was not charging although we had a new battery and alternator. Jeff took a look under the hood at no cost, which was so kind of him, and told us what was wrong (turned out to be the wiring). We were able to fix it right away and now it is working great. A HUGE HUGE thank you to Jeff and his father at Martinezs Garage. Our truck broke down about 25 miles away from Indio, CA. It was Sunday and all shops were already closed. Martinezs Garage was also closing soon. When I spoke to Jeff he told me not to worry and that he would wait for us. A man of his word he called me almost 2 hours later to check up on us and we arrived a couple minutes after. Upon meeting Jeff, he very thoroughly inspected our vehicle and assured us that he would be honest, fair, and would help us as much as possible. He also said he would fix our car first since he knew we were from out of town and needed to get home.The next day, he found that our electronic power steering gear box was gone. He had to get a programmer, an alignment specialist, and then his own shop to remedy the situation. Jeff did an amazing job of keeping me updated and not making us feel like we had to give him our business. He was EXTREMELY honest. He cares about his customers and truly deserves all the success. I really wish we were closer to him. When I left his shop, he called me to make sure I was okay. The truck has been driving excellently without issue and the repair was successful. Thank you so much for taking care of us when we most needed it! It is possible that he may be one of the most HONEST mechanics on earth. Thank you, Jeff!!

A mechanic shop told me I needed an expensive repair. I found Martinez Auto Repair online, saw the excellent reviews, called and from the moment Jeff answered the phone, I received professional and courteous customer service, a sense of urgency without pressure. I described the work I was told I needed; we talked about parts/costs, then mainly the importance to make sure the work was necessary. After Mr. Martinez inspected my car, showed photos of the parts of concern, explained what the photos revealed, both he and Jeff assured me that the parts have approximately 2-4 years of life on them!! I was so relieved by this news, I almost forgot to share this good news and write this review. I drove away after the inspection thinking, I found my new mechanic! Thank you, Martinez Auto Repair :)

Jeff and his dad saved my job for me. After driving out here for work, the clutch went out in my old 4WD Toyota pickup on the way to my first day. I had it towed to their garage, where dad Martinez went to work diagnosing the issue immediately. 11.5 hours later, at 9pm, my truck had a brand new clutch, flywheel and interior door handle. They got my on the road for work the next day. I cannot say enough good things about these guys, theyre real life savers and plain old good people. Im happy I get to go back to return a wrench Pops accidentally left in my truck, just to say thanks again.

Hands down the most honest auto shop I have ever gone to. Jeff was incredibly informative, communicative, professional, and kind. As someone who doesnt know much about cars, having a mechanic explain the problem to me and physically show me why my starter was not working properly meant a lot to me. Ive lived in many different towns across the country and my van is OLD and has had lots of work done and I have never ever been treated so fairly by a mechanic. Jeff fixed my starter for literally half of what other shops had quoted me. He even gave me the receipt for the starter he ordered! I am a forever customer.

Best place to go if you want a quality job at a just price, true value job.Came in to Jeff with an A/C leak, within minutes he was able to determine the issue. He managed to save me money by soldering the leak on the A/C condenser, system flush, and new gas. All done within a short amount of time.Definitely was worth the 8 hour drive from Sacramento. We had a fried alternator on a Sunday. Jeff was the mechanic and he stayed open for us because we had to get the car towed there. He could have raised our price because we are from out of state and stranded but he was really reasonable. He did a great job fixing our car. Jeff was also a very nice guy. Then that evening he called just to make sure everything was good with the car. If we lived in the area he would be our mechanic for sure. Highly recommend this place!!!!!

I called Jeff this morning because my car gear shift was stuck in park. Jeff made it a point to come take a look at my car at my apartment so that he could get it drivable to the shop without needing a tow. Despite the 120 degree weather, Jeff and the guys at Martinez auto shop made it a very enjoyable time.Jeff and the guys are very professional communicative and knowledgeable n their skilled trade.my ac compressor became high pressure and needed to be replaced. ac was blowing 140 degree air in a 120 degree day.so you can just imagine how unpleasant that could be . I called all the local places in Indio and took it to Jims desert radiator they charged me 50.00 tell me that yes indeed my ac was not working . WOW ! . and Jims Desert radiator quoted me 1550.00 to fix it labor cost parts and tax ect . That i would need to bring it back some other day and that on top of that its would take a few days to be ready. i went home very disappointed . the next day I saw the reviews on on Martinez auto Shop and called them, Jeff answers and with the greatest most positive attitude told me to bring it it that he would not charge me to check and see what wrong with the ac. i asked if i could find the parts and bring them . if he could installed them with a can do attitude he replied Yes definitely he said that what ever money i can help save you then Yes . this guy is set out to save you as much money as he can in witch ever possible way. Jeff at Martinez auto repair gives free diagnostics of A/C. He was able to assess the problem in less than an hour of me coming in. He was able to get my part cheaper than the part stores in the area. He was great at explaining whats wrong and was able to fix my car for a great price. I highly recommend his work.

Our car broke down at on us 25 miles passing Indio around 10 pm I was with my wife and 5 kids we started looking up shops near us and Jeff’s shop popped up we called Hoping to get some help as it said it was open 24hrs, Jeff answered and we explained the problem he knew exactly what had happened to our vehicle and try to find a towing truck for us however the towing truck wasn’t able to take all of us and to Lyft or Uber was unavailable near us. Jeff came to pick me and my family up not knowing who we were neither did we ! He took us to get a room and to the store to get some things we needed for our kids he just went the extra mile and we still can’t believe everything he did for us ! Unfortunately we couldn’t leave without our vehicle and had to tow it home but he gave us good advice on the repair ! We went to other places and they gave us estimates way over what we could afford. We found Jeff at Martinez Automotive and he first quoted $90 to fix the problem once he got into the motor found that a hose was also bad and replaced. Total job $140 with a TWO YEAR WARRANTY. This guy is the goat 🐏 I’ve been tryna get my AC fixed for a year now and my local family mechanic just ghosted. I hit up my buddy and asked him if he knew a trustworthy and good young mechanic and he referred me here to see Jeff. He was everything I expected and more. He found out that I actually didn’t need a new compressor it was the O-ring the whole time. $80 bucks and he got me in and out in like an hour. I’m suuuuuuuper happy and I WILL be telling all my friends. He’s a great guy and deserves more than he’s charging. Thank you so damn much Martinez Garage and Jeff. We had a bad experience atartinez auto repair first he was 3bhours late n then car got stolen they took forever on repair of a compressor for ac but thats not half of it he was going on about Jesus and not making any sense ways so ever I would not ever go back to this shop again .

I had the pleasure of working with gerald urbina on two of my vehicles, 2002 Trailblazer and my 2005 Ford Escape. He did a excellent job on replacing the Air Conditioner System and it works wonderful on both vehicles. I would recommend his service for all seeking good craftsmanship.
