This office has top-notch staff! Yesterday was not an easy day but Dr. Korver made it bearable. All the docs and front desk staff are knowledgeable and compassionate. We would not take our furry kids anywhere else.

They got us in quickly and took good care of my dog. They seemed to really care about my dog and wanting him to get better.

Very busy office. This is where we take Lola, our Potbellied pig. Now Lola doesnt like many people but, with the help of animal cookies, they managed to trim her hooves.Everyone there welcomes all pets. Love em.

Ive just recently moved back to Des Moines and havent yet found a veterinarian for my cat. Unfortunately, he suddenly came down with an eye infection and I needed to find a walk-in clinic that would take him before it got worse. A local vet that was appointment-only recommended Indianola Vet Clinic to me, and Im so glad they did. The staff was friendly, helpful, and boy do they work fast. It was a busy afternoon, but they were swift to make a brand new profile for me and get my kitty to an exam room within 10 minutes of walking in the door. Dr. Stumpf was so incredibly helpful. Despite how busy it was, she took her time to make sure my kitty was comfortable before starting the exam. She thoroughly checked him to find the cause of the issue, and gave me several routes of treatment with full explanations, prices, and reasonings why each option could be viable. In the end, she performed a quick full eye exam on my cat and after everything, he still loved her and rubbed on her legs. He got the treatment he needed, and she even helped me decide on a treatment that worked for me and my budget. He was anxious on the way to the vet, but slept like a baby on the way home. Its clear they truly care about our pets - Im so grateful for them and so is my kitty who is feeling much better already!

Everybody there are awesome employees from the front counter people to the doctors in the back. Couldnt be any happier with the whole staff. ❤️❤️

The veterinarian was excellent with our dog. They were very thorough testing him to make sure he didnt have any problems. They were not very expensive.

We love this vet office! Weve used them for 14 years and everyone of them is great; very knowledgeable and helpful. We recently had to put our 14 year old dog to sleep and they were so compassionate. They even sent a sympathy card signed by the whole office. We would highly recommend them.

Where do I even begin......I highly recommend IVC to anyone with pets. I am currently switching all my dogs over to this vet clinic since last year. I drive from Ankeny to Indianola just to go here and is totally worth it. From their affordable prices to their professional staff I couldnt ask for more. I have rarely had to wait when coming until today. Today they were packed, the busiest I have ever seen them and Im sure this hasnt been their busiest. Was there just over 2 hours from the wait in the car to the wait inside and the Drs visit and wouldnt complain one bit. Even though they were super busy and more than likely feeling overwhelmed they all had smiles, were very welcoming and never missed a beat both front staff, vet techs and vets. I have experienced a few different vets here and every one of them have been amazing. I made sure I told them how much I appreciate their work and the great job they were doing despite the long wait. They sincerely apologized for the long wait but it didnt matter to me they treated my dogs and I with the best attitude and care. Wouldnt go anywhere else. I went onto social media to find a local Vet, I was highly recommended to give IVC a chance. The last time I needed to take an animal to a Vet, I was in SW Iowa and found a very nice small town Vet that was awesome, never did I think I would find anything better until today when I took Luna (4 month old puppy) into the Vet for the first time, From the second I walked in until the second I walked out I could not have been more pleased with the WHOLE staff, they welcomed me into their family like office with open arms, because it was my first time there I had to fill out some paperwork which was very minor amount not like some places where there is a book to fill out just a small section on one sheet of paper. The ladies behind the counter were very polite. Dr Freeze (ironically visiting a vet during a blizzard warning, name was fitting lol) was awesome, very personable did not act like your typical doctor/vet he made me feel welcome in the office as though I was family. He explained to me what shots Luna should have but yet gave me the decision which ones to do, of course I did them all and had her microchipped. Everything went very smooth and Luna made new friends (workers and a couple other dogs that were in the office) I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Indianola Vet Clinic

Well..I arrived at 10:58 am, called and checked in to #2, was told it would an hour. Understandably..but then I sat there watching ppl go in and come out go in and come out. My dog was just there for shots and I was going to schedule my dog to be fixed at a later date, and I have been a long time customer of theres. Finally at 12:33 pm, an hour and a half later, I figured there left hand didnt know what there right hand was doing and at that point I have decided that if they couldnt keep track of there customers out in the parking lot or at least write them down then...there NOT touching my dog. HOW CAN YOU TRUST SOMEONE TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR DOG WHO CANT KEEP TRACK OF THERE PARKING LOT CUSTOMERS...thats so sad. I drove all the way from Waukee to sat here for an hour and a half to be forgotten or not wrote down. I will NEVER recommend Indianola Vet Clinic to anyone.Kathy Shepherd

Weve been coming here for years with a couple dogs and cats we have. They always get you right in with a positive attitude, have always given us good advice and thr proper medicine to treat our animals when they are sick or have a skin allergy. They also have the best quality medicine and for an affordable price. When we had to out our Zeus down, even with covid 19 we were still allowed to say our goodbyes with enough time, and they provided a paw print embedded in a molding for us as a keepsake. They also mailed us a sympathy card soon after. I appreciate them all so very much for this and everything else they have done for us over the years. I will continue to go through them for our vet services and will continue to refer others to them.

After trying various vets in the Des Moines metro, I have landed on Indianola Vet Clinic after a friends recommendation. Dr. Korver is the doctor I visit, and she is exceptionally knowledgeable and skilled at what she does, and has a great beside manner as well. On top of all of that, they are budget friendly, which I have noticed as a pattern with small town vets versus in the city. Definitely worth the 20 minute drive to get premium, friendly service at a low price. I would recommend them to everyone. A++

Great place to take your animals. They do a great job and always follow through with what they say. We have also uses their boarding services for our 2 dogs. While they would have preferred to be home. I cant think of a better place to have watch them. They were well taken care of when we picked them up after their stay. Busy clinic with friendly people.

Well I’m still getting emails for my dog I had put to sleep two years ago wishing him happy birthday and they were asked three times to take his records down still getting reminders for another dog we gave our daughter and they were asked twice to take him off our records giving us a six week wait for a surgery date on our dog giving our dog a rabies vaccination that she wasn’t due to get!

Great care for the animals and easy to understand what is being said. Very helpful for me and the family with our horse dogs

By far the most amazing vet clinic Ive had the pleasure of going to! the staff is very polite knowledgeable and super helpful i HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Dr. kacey korver went out of her way after hours on a Sunday drove 30+ min in to see my puppy who was in desperate need of medical assistance and ultimately needed emergency surgery and she choose to do it that night and not wait till Monday to remove a sock stuck in my pups intestine she was so polite and showed so much compassion for me my girlfriend and koda she truly loves her job and does an amazing job at it! I cant thank her and the clinic enough for saving kodas life

Our 2 1/2 year old Bernese Mountain Dog was in acute distress a few nights ago. I called and left a message on the emergency, after hours, voicemail. Within 5 minutes, I had received and call back from Dr Sandy and we were on our way to meet him at the clinic. He took such good care of fur baby and we are so incredibly grateful for his help! I would give a 6 “star” rating if I could!

We find the Indianola Vet clinic very convenient to get our pets into. When a pet becomes ill or gets injured you cant wait for several days to get into a doctor! We are able to walk in, get seen within a short wait, get tests done and medicine if needed usually in one visit.

I have been with this veterinary clinic for a very long time and have had a lot of animals over the years seen by them. Horses, cats, dogs (house calls and in office visits/appointments) - Very knowledgeable Drs and a very caring/thoughtful staff. Thanks for the love Indianola Vet Clinic. (Lori Heldt). :)

Super friendly and really reasonably priced. Even simple rabies shots etc are about $100 cheaper here. Best vet clinic hands down. My friends I have recommended there have said that they have had such good service and also agreed on the prices being much cheaper! Its worth the drive from any metro town to go here!

Can I do less than stars? I went to IVC for over 20 years. They were fantastic in the beginning. Kind and compassionate. Not so much anymore. My pup had ear surgery several years ago and it was an awful experience. They made me feel stupid and were anything but compassionate to my dog, who by the way is the sweetest. They actually drug him back to the room when I dropped him off of surgery and when he had to stay overnight, I stopped in to see him and they looked at me like I was nuts for wanting to comfort him. Never again will I put my animals through that. Its not just the staff but the Drs as well.Additional: Thank You for your call Dr. Brennan but your staff was told of the situation at the time. I ended up having to pay almost an additional $100 to cover anxiety and pain medication for him after I brought him back to have his bandages redone. His head wrap came off and they were pissed at me that I didnt prevent it. Almost a year later his other ear did the same thing, I went to another vet and it cost me a 1/4 of what your clinic and we were both very well cared for.

I would give 0 stars if it were an option. I have had horrible experiences every time I’ve went here with my pets, but today was by far the worst. I specifically asked when i got there if i would be charged an office visit since my dog was getting shots, to which they told me “No”. There was one person in waiting room. I get sent to a room right away. EVERY TIME i go here, i get stuck waiting in a room for 40-60 minutes before ever even being seen. Same goes for today. Then when someone finally came in, its a vet tech. Tech spends 2 minutes TOPS looking at my dog. Tech swabs her ears. I then wait ANOTHER 40 minutes. Vet finally comes in with meds. The actual vet never even touched or looked at my dog himself. Go to check out, they charge me for an office visit after i specifically asked when i got there. Lady at the desk tells me I am wrong. I later call the office manager when i get home. The office manager is snappy and rude to me the whole entire time i am on the phone. This lady wouldn’t even let me speak without interrupting me. She said that the vet looked at my dogs ears therefore an office visit charge, even tho the vet never even put his hands on my dog to even pet her. Then the office lady continues to tell me that “Im sorry that all of ‘this’ is just about $40”. How rude and unprofessional! Some people dont have an extra $40 to throw away to a business that lies to their costumers just to rope them into more charges. Will NEVER take my pets here EVER again.

They helped me when it was my 13 year old Vizslas time to go. Professional, courteous, and understanding. Dr. stumpf was very caring throughout the process as was the front desk staff. Not an easy day, but they made it as easy as possible.

I have taken all my animals to them (kitties and dogs) since 2003. The vets and the staff have always been pleasant, helpful and professional. I feel that my animals were important to them and that they were truly concerned with the well being and good health of all my pets. I continue to use Indianola Vet Clinic even though I now live in Des Moines. They have even stayed late to ensure we were helped even though we arrived last minute with a very ill cat. I have also recommended them to friends and family as the clinics fees are normally less than other clinics for the same treatments.

OMG! this place has saved my life and made my pure bread Rotti puppy the best puppy in the town. I drive to Indianola for work every day and bring Winter, my pup with me every single day. Each day I start my morning by dropping her off the very, very, very amazing staff at Indianola Vet Clinic. They know me and her so well that I walk in, and she, the pup, waggles her little butt to them so fast to play for the entire day until I get off work and pick her up at 5pm... Shes tired and happy. Instead of being couped up inside all day, or stuck out in the heat. I love this place and my life would not be the same without them.

This Vet clinic didnt give the common courtesy of letting their boarders know before hand that they had cases of Kennel Cough and decided to treat animals without the knowledge of their owner. I didnt have my dogs boarded but mine are sick now as well as four other dogs because of the lack of communication on the clinics part. I am disgusted with how they have conducted Business and will NEVER bring my dogs to this location as they apparently are in this for the money and not the well-being of our animals.-------------Hi Brian, I have in fact been a client of this office as well as many members of my family in the past. The way the office conducts business is exactly why we know longer take our pets there. I know exactly what kennel cough is and exactly what this virus intells. I dont think posting signs is necessarly the only step that needed to be taken.A phone call to your client would of been more sufficient and would have saved 6 dogs from getting sick. Instead there was no mention of this at the time of drop off and its sickening that this office would let someone unknowingly leave their pets in a facility that has contracted this virus. All in all my dogs would not be sick if the office had more communication with their clients and my review was warranted due to the TRUE circumstances.

Personable, caring and professional! The veterinarians here treat your pets as if they are their own. Ive been taking my cats and dogs here for more than 10 years and wouldnt trust anyone else with my fur babies. In addition to the wonderful care they provide, the prices are also reasonable. This clinic is the best one to take your pet to in the Des Moines area. . . hands-down! They have helped us on MULTIPLE occasions with our dogs that we have had over the years and we can not put how Thankful we are for their love of their jobs into words. Our biggest shout out is to Dr. Jenni Stumpf who helped us when we needed to go out of town for a family emergency and no other clinic was able to (or would) help us. I have went here for years with my cats and dog. All the veterinarians are professional and very caring. Rates are reasonable and wait times are good too. Just be patient when it is very busy.

I would absolutely do negative stars if I could. Called before we came to make sure we could do payments for an emergency situation, told it would be fine. Got there and say for 2 hrs which we totally understood....examined the cat, said yes needs tooth pulled immediately, put him in a cage then told no payments. Wed need $3-400 to pick him up... For a tooth extracting. We explained that we were told we could do payments and he said sorry and have us the cat back..... I get when you work you want paid...and we were putting allot of it down.... All about the money...who cares about the cat in pain.

Vet was scared of our chihuahua after I muzzled her for her. Jumped back when our dog moved. Plus theyre running a vacuum in hallways both times I went there. You know how pets love the noise of a vacuum. Plus rude receptionist. Seem like they dont care and poorly trained

Had a late night emergency with my pup and they were there to answer my questions right away. Very grateful for the support of such a knowledgeable staff!

I took my cat to this vet twice for his eye. they did nothing for him all they gave me was eye drops and his eye has gotten worse. i have talked to other people about this vet they all have had a bad experience with this vet. do not take your pets here.
