This place relived a huge stress off of me worrying about my hair loss (which stress can cause hair loss) my mothers father was balding bad and had skin cancer on his scalp growing up I saw how this affected him. Darren and his team are incredibly helpful and professional, they walked me through every step of the process, told me what to expect, and provided excellent after care with checkups four months and one year after the procedure. It was done so well that there is no noticeable scar unless you look closely, and the hairline is so natural that not a single person has noticed anything other than my haircut seeming better than usual. During my research I saw that many people opt to travel to other countries like Turkey to get it done for much cheaper, but its a much safer bet to get it done close to home with minimal travel, easier in person check ups, and a reputable company held up to US medical regulation standards. In the end the cost was 100% worth it to have the peace of mind.

I am from Chicago and drove here for two procedures (one year apart) in the spring. They are so highly recommended, I decided to drive rather than to look for someone local. Results are amazing, I look (and feel) 15 years younger - about the time when I just started losing my hair. The process was smooth and recovery was quite manageable. The second time it was like walk in the park - maybe because I already knew the procedure and how it feels afterwards. I went with manual planting, and the doctor is an artist - the transplanted hair looks better than what my original was! And I am still half through the re-growth phase, so by the end of the year it will be spectacular! Definitely consider this place if you want your hair back - I am happy I did.

I am a 36 year African American male and I did research before I had the procedure done, and I can say the process was excellent they answered all my questions about any concerns I had and made me fill really comfortable even on my follow up appointments. I highly recommend.

Customer service is great; however, my overall results are not impressive in the least. I rely on my original, non-implanted hair to cover up problem areas. I am leaving a poor rating due to the fact that although the customer service is wonderful, people are paying a large sum for a less than adequate end product / completed service.

I was very nervous about getting this done. But from the very first phone call, everyone made me feel comfortable that I was making the right decision for myself. I had a lot (an annoying amount) of questions along the way but they were very patient and answered most if not all of them. A nurse even spent over and hour on the phone with a cvs/walgreens pharmacy trying to make sure I had my prescription by the time my procedure was done. The team doing the procedure were all extremely nice and made me feel at ease until the medicine kicked in and did that for them. The only negative I have is that after paying several thousand dollars, there is an $18 charge for a shampoo that seems pretty necessary for the post procedure recovery. I honestly would have felt better if the $18 was rolled into the initial price instead of tacked on at the end. But overall an amazing experience with the staff and everything looks clean and precise day 2. Will update in several months with how the hair progresses.

Hair loss is something that has been plaguing me for about 15 years. Ive tried just shaving it and pretending it wasnt an issue, but I missed having hair. Ive used minoxidil and finasteride for years and it stabilized my hair loss, but it never caused any to regrow. I had considered a hair transplant for years but I could never pull the trigger. Finally in July 2020, I went for it. I have to say this was one of the best decisions of my life. I had a lot of recession and thinning in my hairline and a pretty big bald spot, and with one surgery I now have a great hairline and no more bald spot. A hair transplant will never restore your hair to how thick it was when you were 18, but it moves enough hair so that you truly do have a full head of hair and coverage of the scalp. I am now free to style my hair as I choose and finally have a full head of hair again. The best part? Results take a year for full maturity, and in some cases up to 18 months for the crown. That means that I potentially have 3-9 more months of improvement. Everyone at PAI was super professional, friendly, and attentive to all my questions. The facility is top notch as well. I cannot recommend them enough!

Hair loss was something that I struggled to acknowledge. Every time I saw myself in the mirror I couldnt really grasp how badly it was happening to me. Like too many of us guys, I was in a combination of denial, hope and a blend of not sure what to do about it. But my hair loss had been bothering me for some time.I hid it pretty well for a while, used hats and hairstyles to get away with it a little more...But I finally had to do something when I panicked if I knew someone was behind me, or being at a public get together or being in a pool. I’m very pleased with the outcome of my experience with PAI as a whole. The staff was very consultative and answered questions with no pressure on my first visit. I scheduled a transplant procedure about a month later.Honestly everything during and after went exactly as described. I’m about 13 months out now and the results are great. Hairline is restored and I don’t really even think about it anymore vs. thinking man my hair is falling out...Overall I would highly recommend working with PAI/We Grow Hair Indy if you’re thinking about doing it. Better to say “I’m glad I did” instead of “I wish I had”!

Fantastic experience with PAI Medical Group and their staff! As a 23 year old male, my hair was thin and my hairline was basically non-existent. Balding at such a young age was tough to handle mentally, and I am glad I made the choice to go with PAI Medical Group.I opted for the Multi-Unit Hair Grafting. I had no pain on the day of the procedure and only normal soreness for maybe up to a week after. After two and a half weeks, I was able to wear a hat and already return to work.Its now been a year since my procedure and the results are incredible! I had a really great experience here. I went in very skeptical but really wanted to see results. The customer experience was wonderful on every visit.I went in and decided to go with Darrens suggestion of 4 PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) treatments. Its basically injections into the problem areas on your head. I have a high pain tolerance so for me it wasnt that bad. For me, it got easier each treatment. The results were so great. But not at first, you have to be patient and follow their suggestions to a T. I first started seeing results about a month after my second treatment. From there, it just kept getting better. Im happy to report that after 4 sessions Ive seen even better results. As their suggestion, I plan to continue the PRP treatment once every year as an added security booster.They are honest with you and let you know that results vary from client to client. I knew this going in but I still wanted to try. I was feeling desperate. I wanted to try anything. But just go into this knowing that you may not end up with the best results. If you choose to take a chance, I hope your results are great!

For years I struggled with hair loss. As my hairline continued to recede and the crown of my head began to thin, I would consider what kind of look my future held. I didn’t think I would ever get cosmetic surgery for it, that just seemed unrealistic or out of reach.Then one day I saw a targeted ad for PAI Medical Group. I looked into it briefly and entered my information in their site. I figured, what could it hurt? Well they were very quick and persistent in getting back to me. I was able to do a remote conference with Darren (as I do not live in Indianapolis) and was very impressed with how thoroughly he discussed the process and addressed my concerns.From there the process went incredibly smoothly. The team was always in contact with me to make sure any of my questions or concerns were addressed. The procedure itself went well, and the healing process, though naturally uncomfortable at times, was very quick.The best part, naturally, was watching as the hair begin to grow in the months following the procedure. During COVID-19 pandemic, I did a thing. Originally was suppose to travel, instead I chose to look 10+ years younger. My hair was definitely thinning, but it was still quite reasonable and if it hadnt been for pandemic, I likely wouldnt have done it. Ive had a consultation in Chicago before so I had the cost in mind of what it would be and at the time, chose not to do it since I was fine. With pandemic though, there was time to spare and more importantly, time to heal in private! I had a consultation in May 2020 and my procedure was scheduled for end of August 2020 for the strip method rather than FUE (follicular unit extraction??). FUE is where they pull out hair clusters and move them where they are needed vs strip method they basically give you a facelift on the back of your head. I chose the strip method because then it wouldnt thin my side hair at all. Its basically like playing Mr. Potato head on yourself where you take your side hair that wont go away, and put it on the top of your head. Its all your hair, just re-arranged, like Mr. Potato Head. Using strip method, you cant trim your side hair (near suture line) below a level 5 otherwise you can see the surgery line, like forever. I might regret that one day, but until then its fine. Quick notes of experience for the strip method:* listen to Will* on day of procedure, have your hair trimmed nice and short, but not TOO short. Buzzed all around should be sufficient. Modesty here doesnt matter because youre about to have 2 weeks of hell* 2 weeks of pain and recovery. Dont touch your head and follow the instructions on the sheet to the letter. You will be in pain and thats ok. No pain no gain, right? DO NOT TAKE ANY SHARP OBJECTS TO YOUR HEAD WHILE YOU HAVE STITCHES. No scissors, nothing. Thats why you have your hair pre-trimmed before the procedure. Dont pick at scabs.* Once you get stitches out, get your hair buzzed down, youll be fine. Again, the experience is so drastic your modesty wont matter. If your modesty is holding you back, abandon it because frankly nobody cares... in the best way possible. People see you, spend maybe 5-10 seconds being like something happened to that guy, and then they move on with their lives. They dont care.* Hair will grow back unevenly for a while, keep getting hair cuts but also it doesnt matter because its growing back at different rates.* take finasteride 1mg for the rest of your life (for all males)* use their shampoos and buy from them, because the cost is the same anywhere elseIm attaching photos. The left is pre-procedure (August 2020), middle is 4 months later (December 2020), right is 9 months later (May 2021).Would I do it again? Unlikely, but hopefully I wont have to. Do I regret it from the pain and cost? Having come out on the other side, no, I have no regrets. The staff were awesome and with me all along the way. The staff at PAI has been first class. Todd and Darren were great at communicating everything that would happen, how the surgery would go, healing times, etc. To be honest I had anxiety before the surgery and for the first couple of months afterwards (is it going to grow, what if it doesnt?) but they assured me the timeline, what to do and expect, and sure enough about 3 months post surgery my new hair really began to grow. Im at 9 months now and completely satisfied, it looks great.

Hello! I struggled with seeing my hair decrease over time. I reached out to Daren in my early 30’s but left feeling frustrated over the pricing even though they offer many ways to help pay for the procedure. I was at a low point when I was 36 years old and went back to talk to Daren. I felt confident after speaking with him that I definitely needed this in my life. I decided to book with PAI but only if they could get me in right away so I wouldn’t change my mind. They scheduled me within ten days. The procedure was fairly quick snd not as painful as I thought. Everyone of the staff were extremely nice. After the procedure they drive me to my hotel because I had to be back the next day. I had a spot on my head which dried blood took place snd it was rather large. The staff continued to call and check in with me over three months. I went back several times over the year and expressed that I was “iffy” about the job because where that dried blood was no hair was growing which presented a bald spot. Daren reassured me that they needed to wait a year and if no hair growth there they would bring me back in for touch ups. Exactly a year came and I received a phone call from Faren asking if I wanted touch ups. I went back in and they touched it up, free of charge. I sit now four months from the second surgery and cannot be more happy with them and my new hair. I feel confident again snd it makes me feel and look younger. The price was a deterrent for me at first, but I hold no regrets with going through with it because of how I feel when I wake up now. I used to wear hats all the time, now that is rare. I appreciate Daren and his crew at PAI, We Grow Indy.

It was a pleasure to work with PAI medical group In Indianapolis they were truly a godsend! Ever since I contacted and worked with Darren Andrews, he was very prompt and attentive and answered all of my question and, calmed my fears. I went in for fut surgery half a year ago and held off on this review as requested to give more time for growth however it was pointless waiting that time frame because it’s definitely growing in the areas the grafts were placed, my review is about where they didn’t place the grafts. I went in to get my receding hairline fixed and they placed them all in the frontal section and avoided the left and right sections, on top of this it’s pretty uneven so I still look receded and require a second surgery.

Absolutely love the staff at PAI! From day one you could tell that this group was different from the rest. I am a week post op from my transplant and I’m so glad I went with PAI Medical! Darren did a wonderful job walking me through everything and answering all of my questions. The day of the procedure was pain free! The medical staff came in and went over what they would do and were very nice when doing so. In the procedure room it was very relaxed and before you knew, it was over! Recovery has been great this past week. Darren and the rest of the group have checked on me numerous times to see how I’m doing. I’m doing great! I cannot wait for the next few months! This place does care about your hair loss. The staff is super nice and helps to make you feel welcome and taken care of. I really like the hair products they recommended. In fact, the appointment where they looked at my scalp under magnification to determine what product line would be beneficial was my favorite appointment. I found it fascinating. The products took some getting used to, but now I won’t use anything else.

My PAI experience has been absolutely amazing! I have been treated with so much respect and care throughout the whole process. I had my first consultation with Darren and I was blown away by how much he cared about my hair loss situation. It was nice to have someone listen and understand the struggle of losing hair at a young age. I am now 30, but noticed my hair starting to thin around age 26 or 27. I opted to do the Multi Unit Hair Grafting and it was a very smooth and painless procedure. Before I knew it, I was back home on the couch starting the healing process. I experienced some swelling after my procedure, but had virtually no pain. Just a little bit of soreness and tenderness. I am now 5.5 months post procedure and have been very happy with the results so far. I already feel like my hair is fuller and looks a lot better than when I came in. The best news is that I still have 6.5 months to go. Darren, the doctor, nurses, and the staff, have been incredibly professional and really make you feel at ease about the whole process . I highly suggest the Multi Unit Hair Grafting procedure for anyone who is wanting their hair back and PAI is the best. I can’t wait to see the final results!

Not a very good clinic when you are considering hair transplant for diffused pattern hair loss. My friend has undergone a surgery and he is suffering from shock loss because of the trauma created during incisions and native hair looks to be lost. other hair transplants at this place are decent if you are mostly bald and chances of shock loss are less.9 Months after the post op still my friends situation looks very shocking.He is totally depressed with the way the doctors have done the operation..Intitally after the surgery he lost all his original hair because of shock loss. and even after 9 months the shock loss did not recover fully. My friend regrests his decision why he has undergone the surgery. he was having 10 times more hair at the crown before the transplantation and after the surgery and shock loss it was a disaster his entire hair is wiped off. Very unprofessional way of treating the customers. When my friend reached out after 4 months they took pictures in dark contrast and tried to protray images as if there was growth. When We contact after 6-8 months they say natural hair loss progression and try to do blame it on the natural hair loss. They made a blunder with a shock loss and it never recovered 100%. They perform 3 surgeries per day and looks like their success rate is very limited.

I swim with my grandchildren’s more active then ever at 56. All I can say is don’t even bother with Hair Club or Bosley. PAI Indy is the best!! I want to start off by saying I am not one to write reviews but this entire process has had a huge impact on my life.When I went in for my initial consult at PAI/We Grow Hair Indy in March of 2017 they were very professional and gave me a thorough breakdown of my options. I ultimately opted for the multi unit hair graft procedure and needed a level 12 procedure which is the highest level offered. I was led to believe I would only need one procedure to have a full head of hair.My first procedure was in April of 2017. My post op was painful but the team did a pretty good job at following up and answering my questions. I had to wear a hat for the first three months but luckily have a job that allows this. As the year went on I did start to notice growth and was quite hopeful. It takes a full twelve months to grow in so I tried to remain patient.After 14 months I was still not seeing the growth I hoped for which was quite discouraging. I went in to speak with the PAI/ We Grow Hair Indy team about 19 months after my surgery and expressed my frustration. They explained to me that I kept losing my hair and this was inevitable. As you can imagine I was pretty devastated after going through a year of waiting for the final result. I also paid upwards of $13,000+ for this operation which financially set me back quite a bit.They told me they would give me a discount for a second operation which would resolve the balding I still had. The operation was around $9,000 and I had to have my head cut open again. I now have two scars in the back of my head and had to go through another very painful operation. The second operation ended up being worse than the first.In summary, I ended up paying over $20,000 and had to endure over two years of waiting for hair growth. I wrote this so that everyone knows the risk they take getting a procedure at PAI/ We Grow Hair Indy.

I had been looking into hair restoration treatments for some time...I was on the fence and was nervous about the procedure. I had all of the normal concerns... time off, pain, will it work?!, will it be noticeable etc...The thought of having a voluntary cosmetic surgery was unpleasant to say the least...what was really unpleasant was UNCONTROLLABLE HAIR LOSS.So, I called PAI -- met with Darren and the team. I was reassured that the long term result would outweigh the actual and opportunity costs of the procedure.I of course looked into a few other cosmetic/plastic surgeons in town and around the country. For many many of them hair transplanting was just another service...yikes.After my initial consult i felt very positive about moving forward. Darren and team recommended the Multi Unit hair grafting procedure. Darren and I put a plan in place to go for it. This meant that surgeon would take as a large as a donor area as possible, we would follow up with PRP, Lasers, meds etc.Day of - I had a friend take me and pick me up. The surgeon and his surgical team were rock stars. This is all they do, so they are precise and exact. I counted to 10 backwards and woke up to the Surgeon telling me the procedure went amazingly well.The next couple of weeks were tough but so worth it. I am used to going to an event every night / dinner etc.. so sitting around my house was torture for me.Literally two weeks from the procedure date I was hosting a fundraiser in front of a small crowd of 75 people. It was several months before I finally decided to get the procedure done, and during that time Darren checked in with me on occasion to see if I needed more info, but again I never felt pressured.The transplant I had done was nice and easy. No discomfort during the procedure, and really only minor discomfort for a couple of days afterward. The other nice thing about this type of procedure is that, for the most part, nobody can tell you had anything done! Within a couple of months I could already tell a huge difference as the hair was growing in, and now (just over a year later) the outcome is even better than I could have hoped for. My hair is so natural-looking (after all, its my own hair...) that I almost didnt appreciate how great my results are until I looked at my before and after pictures! I had forgotten how bad it was beforehand.My only regret is not having done something about my hair loss sooner, but Im very glad I visited PAI when I finally decided to make a change! PAI is THE premier clinic for hair loss in Indiana. I had my surgery in September and I am already seeing fast growth in my grafted areas. I had two prior procedures other than PAI Medical Group. The two prior procedures went well. I had multi-unit hair grafting done in March of 2018 and since then it has totally changed my appearance for the better.I originally consulted with PAI on behalf of my son, who began losing his hair in high school. I had my procedure over 5 years ago. I went to my 50 year HS anniversary a few months ago.Several old classmates I havent seen in more than 30 years told me that I havent change a bit since HS.Their comments would have been much different if I had not had a PAI procedure. If you losing your hair has bothered you for a long period of time then you should have this done. The whole process was easy and stress free. The staff will prepare you for what to expect. They take great care of you and are always available if you need them. I am 100 percent satisfied with the whole process. YOU WILL NOT REGREAT IT.
