HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. WOULD NOT RECOMMENDED TO ANYONE. WILL NEVER RENT HERE AGAIN. We rented a dump trailer from them. Asked to pick it up at 5 on Thursday which is 30 minutes before their website says they close. We were told that they close at 5 on Thursdays so she can go and exercise so we would have to pick it up by 4:30. We call the day before to make sure we could still get it and we’re told that she had to go make delivery’s that night but would be back at 4:30. We arrive at 4:30 to pick up the trailer and had to wait 30 minutes for her to arrive. Once there we were informed that the battery on the trailer had not been on the charger so we would have to charge it before using the trailer. We charged the batter all night long. We put the trailer up and down one and down once and when we put it up for the second time the battery died with the trailer fully up. We called and were told to replace the battery ourselves and we would be refunded the amount of the battery or bring the trailer in and they would. We ended up only being able to use the trailer for 4 hours because of this. When we returned the trailer we asked for a partial refund because we were only able to use it for half the time and the owner Kelley yelled and screamed at me and my wife about how it wasn’t her fault and break downs happen with equipment. She then told my wife to leave because she wasn’t doing business with her. She then made us step to the side so she could help other customers first. Once she finally got back to helping us she agreed to charge us the 4 hour rate and refund us in cash. As we were leaving she started yelling and screaming and scolding my wife again about how it wasn’t her fault and break downs happen. I will never rent from here again and would not recommend anyone else renting from them either

The staff were rude and we had a reservation time that was completely ignored. My husband was completely ignored and no one really knew what was going on. I will definitely not be using this location again. Unless you enjoy being continuously ignored, I’d suggest going elsewhere.

Honestly the worst customer service I have ever experienced, The woman that answered the phone is the rudest customer service representative I have ever experienced. In contact with the Better Business Bureau as we speak about this company.

Best place to rent almost any tool you need for DIY projects around the house. I needed a drain snake and they had an excellent one.

This place is a joke. I rented a helium tank for my daughters graduation party for balloons I bought on Amazon. Apparently the lady there didnt have enough attachments for her bookings and was texting me during my daughters graduation even after I told her where I was.The day of the party I wake up to several texts from her. We moved our party to a different location at the last minute and when I told her we were not available to get her attachment to her she threatened me via text... twice!!! If I were you I would not give this place another thought! Move on!! Go elsewhere!! Woman is crazy!UPDATE: This woman has insulted me on here after she was in the wrong. Ive read some other reviews on this place and Im not the only one this woman has threatened.Kelley, Its a shame you are so nasty to people you do business with. I was simply stating facts. You knew you needed 2 of those and didnt buy the second one and Im the lucky one who happened to get there first to have the one I rented. Just, WOW!!! You really need to consider a new career. Working with the public is not for you!

While most business owners are losing there minds the owner of Indy Rents is doing a great job and taking care of business. I am moving and needed a rental van - while U-Haul and other U-Haul providers were closed and or not answering there phones - Indy Rents was doing needed business. The owner was making sure of social distancing, wiping and sanitizing all trucks, pens, credit cards and all things touched by someone. I really needed her service and she was there for me. You are awesome and if anyone needs to rent any equipment in Indianapolis - Indy Rents is the place to go. Thanks for not losing your mind over the CV-19 - being safe and providing an essential services.

Lady at the desk asked literally everyone in the building to cut in front of us. Waited for 40 minutes for the truck we set a reservation for.She then left in the middle of helping us multiple times to talk to the dog she brought to work.Edit: 50 minutes, and she took my ID, and then left the building to help another customer that just walked in, leaving us alone. This is the 6th customer that came in after us that shes helped instead.

Kelley was most helpful! She told me exactly how to go about the job I needed to do and how to use the equipment.

Rented a 19.95 van to haul some large items to move when my truck was being serviced.Only had the van a short time frame low miles didnt even use a 1/4 tank of gas.My 19.95 van cost 90 dollarsSo had to rent the van 19.95 that get you the keys onlyYou then pay for the miles used and gas.At other rentals you pay a feeAnd bring the rental back with some amount of fuel no extra chargesUhaul will not be my first choice to rent a truck for my next project

Waited 35 minutes for a uhaul we had already reserved. Also employee not wearing a mask in the building.

I am extremely impressed with this company. We were hosting a 315 person wedding at our home using our own barn for the reception. The bartender, photo booth, cake table, and food were planned to be outside. On the Wednesday before the wedding we had to come up with a plan B at the last minute just in case the rain from Hurricane Harvey came as far as Greenwood. Our option was to rent a few more tents next to the current barn to get all activities under cover. Kelly understood my concern, gave me some options, and sent me a quote immediately. She said as long as I could get Call Before You Dig out and ordered the tents by 5:00 pm on Thursday, we could have the tents delivered and set up on Friday---the next day!! All the other companies we called said Too late to order. Although we ended up not having to order the tents, the fact that she was so patient to work with me for a possible last minute rental was impressive. I will definitely be contacting them for future rentals!!

Tried to buy some boxes, when I questioned her prices she got huffy and gave me the Mom& Pop sob story and how she pays more, sorry, you are a uhaul contractor you get the same price as everyone else. She was 30-50 cents more per box than the online prices given for other uhaul contractors and would only offer a 5% discount. She then thanked me for wasting her time and the customer behind me. Lowes was much cheaper for the same size boxes. When you buy 50 boxes and you live on a fixed income, every penny counts. Really classy joint.

I WISH I COULD GIVE THESE PEOPLE NO STARS. We are a florist and had sold balloons for balloon release for a funeral. We rented a helium tank from this outfit. Every balloon that we blew up was not standing the next day for the release. We called Kelly to express our concerns over her tank and she said it was all our fault. Not one balloon out of 200 balloons was standing the next day. Terrible customer service and wont refund any money we spent on her junk helium tank. END NOTE DONT DO BUSINESS HERE.. THESE PEOPLE ARE FRAUD AND DONT STAND BEHIND THEIR BUSINESS.

I had been looking for three weeks to find a boat storage space large enough to keep my 25ft Chris Craft inside out of the weather, year around. I looked at many spaces, either the doors were too small, the space wasnt large enough or the concrete outside the door was too small to line the boat up to back it in. I lucked out finding the Indy Rents web page during a search of Indianapolis for RV storage. I spoke with them about what I was looking for, they had just built a brand new building to store Boats & RVs. These building are very nice, large doors, plenty of turn around space and even electric plugs in the building. They also have covered outdoor storage which is also very nice, but I wanted enclosed. This wont last long, these buildings are really nice compared to any I found. I am very happy with my new lease, I really like having my boat inside and secured, no worries...Thanks Indy Rents,

We use them all the time very convenient next to our storage unit and they are flexible. We have never had a problem if something isnt available they will upgrade and when we rented something too many times they sold us one to save us. Definitely care about their Customers. 🚨🛑!!DO NOT RENT ANYTHING FROM THIS BUSINESS!!🛑🚨 Worst experience with any business I have ever dealt with!! My veteran husband and I made a reservation for a 26ft truck 3 days prior as we just purchased our first home. I recieved a confirmation email the next day specifying the p/u location being Indy rents on Southport Road and seeing how weve used u-haul every time wed ever moved I didnt give anything another thought. On the date of our reservation I called Indy Rents to ley them know wed be about 10-15 minutes late picking up our truck. The older man who answered rudely began telling me they had no truck for us as the 26 footer was due to have been returned at 8 am. I asked him then where did that leave us, to which he really couldnt tell me?? He said he would call the people who were supposed to have returned the truck and get back to me. About 4 minutes later I received a phone call from a woman who said we had no rental with them and told me I needed to go to the Hannah and 31 location? After wasting my breath trying to figure out why I was basically being given the run around 20 minutes after I was supposed to be in my rental, all the woman kept repeating was that I shouldve gotten a text message Saturday with the store change? So at this point I am really confused as to why I would get a text Saturday about a truck not returned on Tuesday!? I ended the call telling the woman I would be calling the corporate office and this was going to fall back onto her and her store!? My husband insisted that we drive up to Indy Rents with the hope that we could get this mess figured out and rent the truck we needed. When we arrived the woman preceded to ignore us for roughly 25-30 seconds. My husband calmly sat down at the counter and said Hello, I believe you just spoke to my wife on the phone about a reservation issue? We are hoping you can help us sort it out? The woman stared at us confused and I went on saying that it was in reference to the 26ft truck... this woman seriously looked at us and said what are you doing in my store? as rudely as I believe she could? My husband and I were in shock, and said nothing for a moment. She then told us to Get the f%$k out of her store! and that she didnt have to help us straighten anything out and to (again) get the F&#K out! At that point she had gotten her self up from her seat and began to come around the counter at us almost chasing us out of the store saying all kinds of crazy things!? At that point I told her off and we left. We went to the other location where we were helped with no problem! The other location was even familiar with this location and the woman in specifics track record of being nuts! Words cant express just how blindsided we were by not only this experience but with how being horrible to a customer came so easy to this woman. I beg you to heed this warning, DO NOT GO TO INDY RENTS!!! We shouldve taken the time to read the actual real reviews that are more than 2-3 words long!! Dont make the same mistake we did, or be fooled by the 4 stars!!

This place is a joke! Bunk machines. 2 out of the 3 machines I rented were not taken care of and had to be brought back! And there was no compensation for a machine that needs work so bad that I couldnt do the job. Paid full price instead of getting a lil discount cause she is too lazy to fix it before renting it out. And I still have to go to another place to get what I need to finish the job. Shouldve went to K&R Tool Shed like I normally do instead of this place jus cause Indy Rental was closer to the job... K&R do their preventive maintenance right and have never rented me anything i had to bring back for any reason other than when the job is finished. And they are cheaper! So save your time n money. Stay away from this rental place! She jus wants your greenbacks n has no customer appreciation...

This family owned rental company will go out of their way for your needs! I highly recommend them for any rental you need on the southside of Indy.

I debated on whether or not to write this review but in the end decided it would be best. I had made a Uhaul reservation for pick up at this location this past Saturday at 11pm in the evening. My husband and I had worked all day (we are wedding professionals) and arrived on site to begin the self-pickup process. Mid way through, I was alerted no equipment had been assigned to our reservation. We contacted Uhaul to find out that the facility (Indy Rent) had failed to leave the keys out. We were forced to drive to another location much further away to pick up another vehicle.While I understand to some this may be a small thing, I must emphasize that I have yet to receive a call directly from Indy Rent apologizing for the inconvenience. Both my husband and I called them on Saturday evening and left messages. I am grateful that Uhaul was able to find us another vehicle, but I am not happy that I had to stay awake until 2AM trying to locate one when the vehicle was needed for a trade-show the following morning at 6AM.I certainly hope your business learns from this mistake and does not make it again!

Owner was nice, appearance was unkempt and jumbled. Appears to be a one person show, little slow for service!!

I noticed weird charges on my account so I called and was polite the whole time about my extra charges, the lady had told me a total I was being charged different then my bank statement showed. I began to explain and things were being lost in transition so I told the lady I would come in to show her the charges. After arriving I was being charged extra for the blankets (I did not use) I filled up the gas tank to which it was given to me at and I was charged almost $80 extra to which she had not know why I was being charged $40 extra!. Now is where things started to get interesting when I explained my disputes without hesitation she got attitude as if everything that came out of her mouth was the gospel truth. I moved a couch and 3 dresser and she claimed it to be dirty. Which was another $5 charge and picked up a pile of other rent contracts and stated “everyone is being charged a $5 fee for sweeping, isn’t that worth my time” it almost seemed as if they were trying to find any way to squeeze money out of me. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all after everything she gave me a $7 return to which she tried to get out of because it was going to take 30 days. Avoid this place just go to a Uhaul where they don’t care enough to nickel and dime you to survive.
